David Boreanaz ("Bones") leaves the world of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", along with Sunnydale friends Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter, "The Expendables") and Wesley (Alexis Denisof, "The Avengers") and sets up shop as a sort of demonic detective, helping clients solve supernatural problems.
"Angel" is, in some ways, a superior series to "Buffy" in that it takes a more serious look at the mythic world that creator Joss Whedon has crafted. Sometimes too dark and brooding, "Angel" does capture your imagination and your attention.

How Can You Improve Upon the Previous Releases?

Well, this release does both of those things with one of television's greatest epics. Seasons 1 and 2 of "Game of Thrones" comes in a two-set compilation. I LOVED the plastic casing of this series, as the previous bulky releases took up a lot of shelf space.
I will warn you, though: the season finale for season 1 is the altered version without the George Bush head in the heads-on-a-pike scene. Other than that, this is a perfect upgrade/replacement/starting place for your "Game of Thrones" collection!

Yeah, I know, the line is from the original, but it encapsulates how I feel about this remake. It's well written and adequately directed. For a reboot of a classic franchise, it's not all that bad at all.
There's not much to gush about in terms of the filmmaking, acting, and whatnot. The 2014 remake of "RoboCop" is a fine film on its own, and a nice, modern-day upgrade of an already good film in its own right.

The Harry Potter series of novels was a rich, beautifully written story that touched hearts, broke them, and changed innumerable lives. So why was it so hard to turn these adventures into a series of films?
Well, because they had to be adapted by humans, and humans have flaws. Sure, we all felt we could have written better adaptations of this material. But, when push comes to shove, could we?
Enough apologizing for the filmmakers. What we have are eight films - almost eighteen and a half hours of film - that do what they set out to do: they tell us the story of Harry Potter, and his rise from a banal life as an orphan living under the stairs of his evil aunt and uncle's home in England and his transformation into one of the most powerful wizards of all time. Rich performances are given by Daniel Radcliff as Harry, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint as his wizarding friends as Hermione and Ron, and a faculty of instructors including Michael Gambon, Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman, Robbie Coltrane, and Ralph Fiennes as the most feared wizard of all time, Lord Voldemort.
So quit complaining that this plot was changed here and this person was left out there, and just sit back and let the directors (Chris Columbus, Alphonso Cuaron, Mike Newell, and David Yates), writers, and cast transport you to a world where you can banish your fears with those two simple words: "Expecto patronum!"
