While fans (of Blu-ray as well) were hoping that Fox would continue releasing White Collar on Blu-ray, at least Fox continued to release this show at all. The final episodes nicely wrap up the story of Caffery and Burke, but I was hoping for more of an edge to the ending. It seems just "there." Okay. Fine. That's it?
The audio and video quality are fine for DVD. Anamorphic widescreen looks good. 5.1 surround sound is adequate for a TV show.
Extras are nice, but not extensive. Liked the wrap up where the cast are interviewed about their feelings about the show.
If you have the previous seasons, you will definitely get this to complete your series collection.

The Tama Hills raccoon dogs are being forced out of their homes for development. So they band together and master the art of transforming into humans to scare off anyone in their way. What parents have to note is that they use parts of their anatomy to transform into various weapons and objects. If parents are okay with their slightly-older children seeing cartoon anatomy in a strange (but not inappropriate) way, then this movie should be fine for everyone.
The A/V quality is good. Audio is lossless 2.0 English and Japanese.
Extras are very slim, but they include being able to watch the movie with original storyboards. The trailer is also included.

Hayao Miyazaki's love of aviation in the movies began much sooner than his latest The Wind Rises. Porco Rosso is about a man (with a pig's snout because of a spell) who incurs the wrath of pirates, so they hire another pilot to get rid of him. Both pilots vie for the same woman as well.
The A/V quality is good for this early Ghibli movie. Lossless audio is present, but only in English/Japanese 2.0.
There aren't many extras, but the highlight is to watch the movie with original storyboards.
This would make a great double-bill with The Wind Rises to see how things changed in-between the films.

Kiki goes off with her cat Jiji (on a flying broom) to open a delivery service, with the help of a baker and her husband. It's a coming-of-age story that only Miyazaki can deliver. A great, quiet Ghibli movie, it's just as great as Miyazaki's other movies.
For the first time on Blu-ray, the A/V quality is good. This is not an "action" movie so there is no heavy workout on your home theater, but clarity is the best descriptor of the audio and visual quality.
There are extensive supplements, including being able to watch the movie with the storyboards.

A Cautionary Tale That is Still Relevant

Many virus outbreak stories must owe some debt to Michael Crichton's The Andromeda Strain. The story about a virus outbreak in a small town (but with two survivors, a baby and an old man) is just as relevant today as it was back then in the early 70s. The style, directed by Robert Wise, was groundbreaking at the time but so was the book.
The A/V quality is fine for its first time on Blu-ray, but seeing as this movie is old, don't expect demo quality. But for what it is, it looks and sounds great on Blu-ray. It won't be sold wide until May 5, so Best Buy is the only place to get it right now.
The extras are fine. A featurette on the making of the movie, a "portrait" of author (and director of several movies) Michael Crichton and the movie's trailer.

A Masterful Story About Revenge and Redemption

Steven Spielberg's Munich is a fantastic look into the world of revenge and redemption. During the Olympic Games in Munich, we know that several athletes were assassinated. This movie shows the fictional aftermath of that tragedy. A group of men, all with different skill sets, are hired by a hidden group to kill the killers. Things don't go as planned and the suspense and tension is ratcheted up. Spielberg's reputation is further honored by watching how events play out.
For its first time on Blu-ray, the A/V quality is very good. Picture is clear (but expect visual flourishes that Spielberg is known for) and grainy where it has to be. The lossless audio is excellent. When the building explodes, it felt like it was real.
The extras are the same from the DVD except you don't get the nice outer cover and the postcards.

Sneakers is one of my movie-seeing pleasures. It was a suspense thriller with comedy sprinkled in that had fun at the same time. Although there was some violence, it was adventurous and you enjoyed going through the characters' journey.
Robert Redford's Martin Bishop leads a rag-tag team of misfits all with mysterious pasts doing security jobs for clients. Bishop has a dark past as well and his latest job (involving shady characters, supposed crooked governments, assassins, etc.) threatens to expose him.
After a long wait, it's finally on Blu-ray. If you have/had the DVD, the extras are the same. The A/V quality is passable and serviceable, but in no way demo material. But one should not expect it to be for a 1992 movie. The quality is slightly higher than its DVD so that's enough to warrant a recommendation.

Excellent A/V Blu-ray Quality for a Quality Show

Since this is the fourth season, I won't talk about plot. Everyone who is thinking about getting this has probably seen the first three seasons (unless you're giving this as a gift; lucky recipient!).
So I'll just talk about the quality. Similar to the previous season sets, the fourth season's Blu-ray quality is great. Sound design and photography are excellent, immersive. HD picture and lossless audio are top-notch.
If you are a fan of any family on the show, Best Buy offers packaging for each one. I have the Lannister Family box and it's a beautiful package. Too bad there isn't a way to get all customized artwork.

Great Thinking Movie with Great A/V Quality

What can be said that already hasn't? I'm in the group that heartily enjoyed this movie, whatever flaws it had. I'm not scientific, so any inaccuracies are unknown to me and that should not affect my enjoyment of the movie. While it's about space travel and sci-fi(ish) themes, it really is about humanity and love for family. Nolan's movies all had these themes in them.
But the quality of the Blu-ray is fantastic. When I saw it in the theater, I didn't notice any sound issues, but I didn't see it in a true IMAX theater. At home, the picture and sound reproduction are first-rate. A bigger screen would probably equate to a more immersive experience but the story drags you in regardless.
Over three hours of extras to go through? Amazing. Best Buy bonus content? A great plus. And an IMAX film cell to boot? Whoa! The scene you get is up to fate (mine was just of a planet surface, no characters), but its inclusion is a great bonus.
