I hope Arrival upsets and wins tonight's Oscars. If it does not, at least I will know it's still the best, in my opinion. The movie makes you think about how we communicate. But there is more to the story than just alien invasion. The audio and video quality are top-notch and the sound design is worthy of nomination. The extras delve into the translation of story (Doug Chiang's "Story of Your Life") to screen, editing, music. A worthy title to your collection.

What can I say that a GoT fan doesn't know? If you don't know GoT, go to Season 1 first. But I must say that the audio and video quality of this set is a continuation of the fantastic audio and video quality of the previous sets. The extras are good and GoT never fails to disappoint. An Awesome Movie with So-So A/V Quality

If you haven't seen OCTOBER SKY, go see it now! It's a heartwarming true story about Homer Hickam who dreams of building and launching rockets for NASA. (If you haven't seen the movie, I'll leave it up to you to find out what happened to Homer.) His home life isn't the greatest and his best supporters are his friends and his teacher. There is some melodrama to enhance emotions but they work. The events supporting the melodrama were all true stories so they work even more. On a technical level, Universal's Best Buy exclusives (this, The 'Burbs, Money Pit, etc.) aren't the greatest. There is a lot of digital noise, no remastering was done. Audio is DTS-HD MA and it works for what is is. For budget prices and very little or no extras, you get what you pay for. But this movie is worth more!

I'm going to start with the audio and video quality because if you're buying this movie, you either like it already or simply want to buy it. I'm not going to describe the movie itself. The A/V quality is excellent, especially with a home theater system. The movie makes good use of the audio and video. The extras are the same on the regular Blu-ray version. The steelbook version is a bonus although there is no new content (thankfully).

A great and funny dark comedy about neighbors in a suburban neighborhood who are very suspicious of the new neighbors. If only the picture quality of this Blu-ray were better. Grain is acceptable when it is done right, but when the image doesn't seem to have been remastered properly, it looks shoddy. The alternate ending is a nice addition to the paltry extras. Sound quality is okay for what it is.
