This headset is great, however, don't get your hopes high on what to expect from it. The sound is well balanced and for me a decent value. I like that it works for online games on my Wii U, but it's also great for listening to music and TV in quit. The headset is comfortable, but after an hour or so, my ears start to hurt from wearing it which isn't a huge problem for me since I only wear them for a couple hours here and there. Another small issue these things have is the sound, while decent as far as quality is concerned, they leak pretty bad. I can have the volume very low, and still hear words of lyrics clear, albient rather low, so these aren't for listening to things for yourself. All and all, they work well, have a nice design and are a great price. I recommend these for someone who needs a pair on the fly or is a bit tight on money. These will be a better investments than the alternatives.

Great Editing Tool, But Windows 8 Holds it Back

Great editing tool with lots of features and options. I'm upgrading from Studio Ultimate 12 and I use Final Cut Pro on my MAC for more customized and intricate editing. Some of the generated effects and transitions are nice, especially for quick edits, but many of them are a bit corny and geared (I imagine) at family videos. I use this to tighten up animation projects, thus my editing needs are not used to their fullest since I have done much through After Effects CC and Adobe Photo shop CS6. The features are both great for hobbyist and professionals, though on a professional level there's stronger software out there, even for PC. For example, Adobe Premiere Pro. The only issue this software has, and it will probably change with Pinnacle Studio 17, is the compatibility issue with Windows 8.1. In order for this to run properly, one needs an extension; re-install it, if that person already installed it and now needs to un-install it; and change some of the settings on their PC. "Under settings, one may have to change the "VersionNT" key value in the the registry key HKLM/Software/[Wow6432Node/]Avid/Studio 2 from 603 to 602 in order to get Pinnacle 16 to work with Windows 8.1, this is in addition to the extension.
This work around could be as simple as a few seconds to a good portion of the day.

Fantastic, But Windows 8 Makes This a Pain

This is a great piece of hardware and works great. It would have received a score of excellence but the work around that one needs to take in order to get it working is a pinch fussy. The issue is Windows 8.1. There is a compatibility issue that one can change by going into BIOS and changing your peripheral settings because for some reason, as a security precaution, Win. 8.1 shuts it down. This is an issue with most graphics cards though, even if it says on the box it's compatible with the Windows 8. Hopefully this will change.
Other then that, this is a great upgrade for 3D animation (or just creating 3D films) and gaming. I use it mostly for animation, but the upgrade is so nice, visually, I've started playing a few games on my PC.

I had received a couple Nintendo DS' a few months ago and wanted to get some headphones so I wouldn't disturb my partner. I found what looked like the best headphones for the best price and these seemed to meet my desire. Unfortunately they do not work for either gaming device. But the sound is great for my mp3 player and PC they are work keeping.
