If you're reading this review chances are you have already researched the MacBook Pro on Apple's website and/or other places, so I won't go through every single spec and feature of the computer, but I do want to highlight a few things *I* really do and don't like about it.
First, the famed Touchbar. Is it essential? Probably not. But it's cool, and not just the flashy "look what this computer can do" kind of cool, but actually a USEFUL cool -- if only in certain apps. It actually creeped me out a bit at first because it seemed to be reading my mind. In case you're not aware, the Touchbar is a strip of glass just above the keys on the keyboard which lights up with various "buttons" depending on what app you're using. It's also where the "function" keys live (hold down the Fn button and they magically appear). Unfortunately it doesn't work with all apps -- for example, if you like to use Chrome as your browser you're out of luck. When using Safari, though, it's nice to see small previews of the pages you have open. So while I use the Touchbar more than I thought I would, I can't say I would miss it terribly if it disappeared.
Second, the display. It's really a beautiful screen. I don't watch movies on my computer, but even just for web browsing and watching videos online I can notice a significant improvement in brightness and clarity compared with my previous Macbook (from 3 years ago).
Third, the trackpad is enormous and wonderfully responsive. Unlike my previous Mac, I don't feel like I'm constantly running out of room when dragging my fingers across it. Seems like a little thing, but it makes a big difference!
Fourth, the battery life is fantastic, at least for my amount of use. Admittedly I don't use this non-stop all day long, nor do I watch movies on it, but I only have to charge it once per day, and that's more than I can say for my previous Macbook.
While the Touchbar is new and the graphics and speed are improved over previous generations, when it comes to overall design, features, and function I can't say this Macbook marks a radical departure from its predecessors. It's still iOS, the apps appear about the same, and the overall "Apple feel" is unchanged. That's not necessarily a bad thing, as I don't like it when companies change things just for the sake of change. But if you're purchasing this to replace a slightly older Macbook, just know that the overall experience will be familiar.
So far the only thing I do NOT like about this computer is how warm it gets. Apple makes a big deal about the internal cooling mechanism, and while I'm sure the cooling technology is sophisticated, the reality is that the computer still gets pretty toasty, particularly on the underside. I point this out because the advertising hype led me to believe that this computer was somehow immune to becoming warm (a testament to the power of Apple's marketing!), but in reality that's not quite the case. This shouldn't be a deal breaker. but I wouldn't plan to have this on your lap for long periods of time.
Bottom line: Even though this MacBook Pro isn't loaded with lots of new features and functions, I can't find much to complain about. Speed, power, battery life, and capabilities are all rock solid. And that's what's most important, right?

Thor's growth is very evident. The movie was different than previous Thor movies but it was entertaining. I would like to see where the Thor story, minus Avengers, goes from here. It will be a tightrope to keep it funny without getting too stupid, which often happens when Hollywood seems to want to over develop a character.

You can't beat a good old Disney movie. This was my favorite movie when I was little. I bought this for my daughter and she wants to watch it over and over. She loves it as much as I did, and still do. So happy I was able to purchase this on Best Buy.

The Dark Knight trilogy hits 4K and it's very impressive this time around. The release comes in 3 separate cases, digital copy codes and a box to house them all. You do lose the individual slipcovers if you bought them separately but the release is otherwise the same.
All 3 movies are remastered - Batman Begins was a problematic Blu-Ray when it released almost 10 years ago (it was mastered from the same video file used for the lower-quality HDDVD) so any upgrade at this point is nice! Unfortunately, it's not AMAZING. You get the obvious increase in clarity, but the video is inconsistent. Lots of soft scenes mixed into otherwise some great looking scenes!
Dark Knight is probably the most impressive for me, with nice detail throughout an beautiful colors. Dark Knight Rises is another very nice upgrade and the 2nd most impressive in the set (again, some soft scenes put it a bit behind; I'm assuming this is down to the differences in cameras used). Where you do run into issues with the video is in the black levels (which are much more of a dark grey than a pure black - on an OLED, this is very noticeable)
The set includes Blu-Ray copies and special features for all 3 films in addition to the 4K copies. The audio is the same as the original Blu-Ray releases (no ATMOS!) but overall these are the best the films have ever looked.
The price of the set does fluctuate. Sometimes it's cheaper than the individual releases, other times it's more expensive so be sure to check before buying it.
Unless you find this at a great price, I'd recommend the individual releases or the Batman Trilogy set.

Before I started watching Fuller House, I read a bunch of reviews and was so disappointed that it was getting ripped to shreds that I almost didn't give it a chance, but curiosity got the best of me and I started watching. Yes, the first episode is incredibly cheesy and feels more like an homage to the old cast than an introduction to a new show, but after just the main cast of Fuller House is left, I found it actually quite fantastic.
Some say that it's just rehashing the original show and in a lot of ways, they *have* taken an extremely similar storyline, but beyond that it is totally its own. But what I absolutely love about it is that it feels like a 90s sitcom. I grew up watching Full House, Boy Meets World, Family Matters, etc., and I miss all of those shows. When Girl Meets World came out, I was excited for that one also, but was disappointed in how it turned out. However, Fuller House can stand on its own two legs without their Full House background and I have been very pleasantly surprised.
Nowadays there really isn't much family friendly material on TV; there are very few shows that aren't filled with innuendo, language, and so on. But Fuller House stays true to the Full House values and while it may be cheesy at times, each episode has a moral to the story where someone learned something and is better for having learned it. It teaches the audience what's really important in life and how much families really matter.
If you're looking for a Modern Family type of show, you will not find that in Fuller House, but if you're missing the sitcoms of the 90s that you could comfortably watch with your whole family, you will love Fuller House.

This endearing tale of a lost ET who finds friendship on Earth is a great family movie kids will enjoy. There are some mildly scary scenes for little ones, but not bad compared to what they see in a movie nowadays. The movie is slow paced compared to today's films and the special effects are silly, it didn't seem to bother the kids because they actually got into the story and that is worth much more than the super effects we get on recent films to compensate for the lack of a good script. This movie is perfect for a family night because it is good for all ages. It is also night to get some 80's flashbacks and get to share with your kids how life was "Back then", this movie will bring back good memories and make new ones for your kids.

Our child likes it and we find it reasonably entertaining. After repeat viewings I’m still able to watch it without wanting to pull my hair out so that’s great in my book. The story line and plot are fine for a kids movie.

Child actress Drew Barrymore (E.T.) once again stars in this thriller of stories by Stephen King. I like it, although it is a little dated. Still good and always good to see Drew. The last story is the best one in the bunch and low and behold, Ms. Candy Clark (American Graffiti, Blue Thunder, Amityville 3D, The Blob 1988) stars as "Drew's" mother. A host of actors of the era also star such as James Woods. You'll recognize the faces. You will also see a few "gems" of Stephen's movies in the beginning, so watch for those. Nice cameos! The movie looks good on the 4K UHD 55"! If you play it back on an upscaling blu-ray player, it will be 2160p and look great even for the year it was released! Comes with Commentary and the Theatrical Trailer. Widescreen and sound is decent, Dolby Digital English 2.0 as well as other languages, 2.0.
