I love this movie the 3D is amazing to watch. The Steel book is very colorful and beautiful to look at. Included are the Blu Ray , 3D BR, & 4K disc. I am looking forward to getting a 4K TV so I can watch the 4K disc. There are so many bizarre and crazy creatures in this movie. I can't wait for King Kong VS. Godzilla. Watch at the end of credits.

Would have been nicer if it had more to do with the actual Villisca house murder story. Good movie but fictional made up story took away from the true story. The effects were good. Movie was kinda all over the place. Had to watch two times to get the movie.

There are a few updates to this latest instalment: (1) since VCR is virtually obsolete, the tape is now transmitted through your computer, (2) Samara now can climb out of flat panel TV instead of old bulky CRT TV. To appreciate this movie better, I strongly recommend you watch the “Extras” too. Here, I learn that Bonnie Morgan, who played Samara, is a contortionist. That is why you see her doing the creepy spider crawl out of the TV with her leg in front of her body (or chasing Naomi Watts up the wall of the well in the last “Ring” movie, though not credited). She also wears over 50 appliances on her body plus a tube connecting to a water pump to allow the character to constantly drip water. Also there is an alternate ending. Personally I prefer the alternate ending…more suspenseful. Don’t miss this. (Movie: 4/5)

"The Windmill Massacre" is being re-titled, "The Windmill"...don't want to give too much away. The film opens showing us brief backgrounds of the various passengers on a tour bus line. One person is a Marine (Patrick Baladi) who went PTSD and killed a lady of the night . The rest of the passengers are a nervous lot who seem to have issues. The story centers on Jennifer (Charlotte Beaumont) an Aussie girl running away from her past. The tour bus breaks down in the part of Holland that doesn't have cell phone reception. It isn't long before our slasher appears as the past catches up uniquely to each passenger. He pretty much represents a grim reaper who kills anyone who has done something bad in there life.
The characters, while most were not developed, were interesting. Charlotte Beaumont played her role extremely well and could star in something a bit more relevant. In fact the entire cast did a good job, kudos to writer director Nick Jongerius...and I didn't see that last bit coming, expecting the film to end formula.

I approached this film with real trepidation. I was a fan of M. Night Shyamalan's initial work but subsequent efforts seemed to be borrowing heavily from the early successes. Here he seems to be learning from his failures and accepted the fact that you can't catch lightning in a bottle twice. "Split" is unabashedly a homage to Alfred Hitchcock most notably "Psycho". This is not to suggest that it is a rip-off because Shyamalan takes some of the Master's themes and expands upon them with his own flourishes. There is a constant air of menace and dread that permeates the film that doesn't let go of you even until the bitter end. In a career making turn James McAvoy fascinates as Kevin, a man suffering from a multiple personality disorder. Your eyes can't leave McAvoy as he assays the different aspects of Kevin's persona and though capable of truly heinous actions you remain sympathetic to him. As a depression sufferer I was leery of the film exploiting mental illness but Shyamalan's script is very smart and empathetic. A film that resonates long after it's over.

Edge of your seat thriller. Constantly expecting something to jump out. All the noises and creepiness of this old house in the wilderness in a snow storm. What more could you ask for. Good acting, beautiful setting, beautiful old home and she is there by herself. Or is she. As Always Naomi Watts Gave An Oscar Winning Performance---It Really Deserves to be Watched Twice and the Script did not give away the ending or make me guess the Plot in Advance!---Don't Wait--- Buy It--Rent It--Stream It---Perfect Without going over the Top!

This is not your typical Demonic Movie. It presented another totally new concept to possession. Very interesting and not confusing at all. Anyone who says likewise cannot follow plot lines. The characters were believable and it was well acted. Don't miss this. Do not listen to the critics, if you are looking for an intelligent movie and not the same old tired head turning, green puke spewing stuff. Have fun.

This is a remarkable debut for director Nicolas Pesce, one that reveals a strong personal vision. The film is both extremely disturbing and beautifully composed - the stark black and white photography etches the unforgettable images into the psyche. Some of the most harrowing events are ones that aren't even shown on the screen, but they are, nevertheless, planted deep in the imagination, where they won't soon be forgotten. The film is steeped in atmosphere and poetic dread. It is definitely a work of psychological horror, where gruesome and unspeakable acts are performed. It manages to inspire empathy for its damaged and deranged heroine, communicating her extreme isolation. And, amazingly, this is all wrapped within a beautiful and haunting aesthetic.
