I recieved my "refurbished" iPad Air 2 today, it had not been powered off (in my opinion never a good sign of quality control) and had scratches, and one dent and chip in the back (hey, it could have been plural). Also, there seemed to be a line of color that was bleeding. Upon further inspection, mine came from a place called "JemJem", I know a bit about them and would never purchase anything from them knowingly. Oh Best Buy, have you lost your way? And the weird part is, I checked warranty status and it has the full one year Apple warranty??? Paging Silkwood

Just sent this heap of junk back in...where do I begin? Well, let me start with the positives...it looked nice and having low-vision, I appreciated the keyboard....but this computer was a mess. I was constantly getting the blue screen unhappy face for either memory problems or display issues. It was SLOOOW as molasses and the worst was the screen was, I'm trying to think of a word to describe the polar opposite of bright and all I can come up with is dim so I'll use it. It was very, uncomfortably dim

I've been looking for a basic computer that was FHD, had backlit keyboard, and was fast. In what I've found to be the hit or miss world of Windows computers, two out of three is not too bad.
My standards were high, after spending a decade nestled in the safe yet anonymous bosom of Apple, at times I thought about biting the bullet and getting a used MacBook Air (a cheap no frills compromise).
The first computer that really caught my eye was Acer's R13...Oh I wish it had worked out because you had it all (well, barring quality control that is). After going through four units with defects (or mayybe itts normal in some placces to randomly use double letters in words), I moved on to Toshiba's Sattelite Radius. I didn't move too far though because the trackpad would stop every ten minutes or so. I gave HP a try but call me crazy, I like to have a new computer that doesn't go to a blue sceen unhappy face everyday. Then I saw the ADUS Q304UA...granted, it wasn't love at first sight, I mean those hinges are soooo shiny, but you know they are also strong. And what lies within seems to be a quality product fairly priced. Now if they could just get over the "recovery disk" debacle and send out a copy, we might be talking love..

I'll admit it, the endorphins started flowing when I saw "orange" and thought, "I wonder if it will be as good as the apple one?" It's not, doesn't even have the smell (I know, not a necessary factor but just makes me want to clean every screen in the house...what are they putting in that apple juice anyway??

Does this work with in a MacBook Pro mid-2012?
it works, but not as fast as in a PC. Now, I found if you can get another SSD (any type, and you can even borrow one as you will only need it for about an hour) and use one of the HD clone programs (CC Cloner, etc.), the magic seems to be to clone your old HD to another SSD, thennnn, clone that SSD to your new (or whichever is the better SSD of the two) SSD, and then you can really see the SSD working in the IOS environment.

Is there proprietary software with this drive? My normal hard drive crashed, took all the software with it, now I have a SSD EVO850 250GB model MZ-74E250B, installed with no software.,
I'm not sure about your question but I'll give it a try...it does come with Samsung Magician and Data Migration (which works only you are transferring your old drive to a new Samsung ssd)...but it will only copy from a functioning hard drive (I think). You might have to try one of the partition programs which claim to be able to rescue data that has been erased and/or damaged). They have never worked for me so try out the freeware titles before spending your money on anything.
