I don't own an Echo, so I can't compare the two. However, I like the IFTTT compatibility and how it integrates with other Google devices. However, the wake work "Ok Google" for this is the same as for the Pixel, which is annoying.

First, these really aren't worth it unless you have a PS4. Second, there currently aren't many games that support the Virtual Surround Sound mode, so you'll only really enjoy these at their fullest with a more limited selection of content. The emulation is phenomenal, even if the selection of games is limited. It is unfortunate that the console doesn't support any method for expanding the library. Additionally, the controller has an incredibly short cable, so you'll have to invest in an extension cord.
