The best feature of the Whistle is the GPS tracking and push notifications. It definitely helps provide a level of security. The tracking is interesting, but not of much concern, so that is just fun data.
It would be better if you could customize a virtual fence for the pet. Also, it is a bit bulky, and hopefully they make a thinner version.

However, it doesn't geofence, so, for example, if you can't find your keys it can help you find them, but it won't warn you if you're leaving the restaurant without your wallet. If they add that sort of feature, it will make the ecosystem of Tile products much more useful.
