Throw these in your backpack / pocket and go!

I’ll start my review by saying that my 4 star review is more like a 4.5 star. These earbuds aren’t the coolest or the flashiest looking but they have everything you could ask for in earbuds these days. They have a pretty good active noise cancellation function. My workplace is loud, and I have to wear hearing protection for most of my time there. When on my breaks I like to sit and listen to some music or watch a quick YouTube video and these earbuds have been great for blocking out the loud sounds at work. When I used them to talk on the phone, I am able to take out the left earbud and use the right only to have my conversation. The people I spoke to didn’t complain once about not being able to hear so I think it’s safe to say they work good for phone calls. I’ve used these most while working out at the gym. I enjoy the subtle look of the earbuds. Nothing to draw attention to me and they stay put in my ears while doing cardio. I decided to use the silicone tips that came pre installed, i sometimes prefer a tighter fit and seal but these fit comfortably so I stuck with them. Audio quality is pretty good. Not the best I’ve ever listened to music with, but I would say they make my top 10 list as far as sound quality. I’m a bit of an headphone / speaker snob though so keep that in mind. I think most people would be satisfied with the sound quality of these earbuds. I would say they are “balanced”. I turned on the bass boost EQ within the app and the bass still isn’t very pronounced to my ears. And that’s the only reason I give them a 4 star rating. I prefer some oomf when I’m listening to music. And low to mid volumes, the bass is very subtle and low. That being said, they do have nice mids and treble. I listen to a lot of rock, and guitars come through crunchy as they should. For podcasts and videos, I would say they are perfectly fine. Battery life is excellent, I’ve been using them for about 4 days on the same charge. I believe they claim to get you 22 hours of battery life from the case and it sounds about right. Mine are still kicking strong after about 8-10 hours of use. All in all, if you are looking at these and they are on your shortlist I would recommend them. I like that the case is small and fits in any pocket. The earbuds are very comfortable, have excellent noise cancellation and battery life is great and most importantly they are water / sweat proof and they come with a 2 year warranty. (If I’m not mistaken) Unheard of when it comes to earbuds.

Edit your videos in a flash
on March 9, 2023
Posted by: Ponskippa
I've been using the SanDisk Professional G40 SSD for the last few days to edit personal vlog videos and photo editing. I can honestly say that I am very impressed with the speeds of this drive when connected to my 14" MacBook Pro with M1 Pro chip. You'll need thunderbolt 3 or better to get the most out of this drive so keep that in mind! I recently purchased a mirrorless camera that is capable of shooting 6K video and 4k 60 at full sensor size. I'm no Pro when it comes to editing, it's a hobby for me. So I can only mention how it performed when using it with iMovie. I imported a couple of video clips at 4K 30fps, about 5 gb worth of video onto the drive to edit into a short 3 minute video. It processed and exported the 3 minute video in seconds! I looked away for a moment, 10 seconds tops and it was done! I couldn't believe it. The exported file was Apple ProRes. I typically don't edit and share long format videos, so I can't comment on how long it would take to process and export say.. a 20 minute video. But I think it is safe to say that (if you are using one of the new MacBook Pros with Apple silicon and have thunderbolt 3/4.. it will only take a couple of minutes to do the work for you.
The drive is very rugged, it has a rubber silicone feeling back and a metal plate on top. I did not test its water resistance lol.. But it is ip68 rated, so it should survive a drop into a shallow puddle or some mud if you're clumsy and for some reason juggling this drive outside. My only complaint is that I wish the included USB C cable was just a little longer. I've attached some test speeds and it seems to have exceeded the advertised write speeds. Would I recommend this drive? Most definitely. If you're a content creator, You know that time is very valuable when it comes to editing. This drive will save you lots of time over its lifetime. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to edit photos and videos. Professional or hobbyist. It comes with a 5 year warranty, that is great for an External SSD.

OLED - The best way to experience your games
on March 3, 2023
Posted by: Ponskippa
I've had the pleasure of gaming with this monitor over the last week with my PS5, Xbox Series X and PC. When I first set it up, the first thing I set up was my PS5 and I was immediately amazed by the colors and contrast straight out of the box. I loaded Spiderman Miles Morales and it just pops on this monitor. This monitor pairs very nicely with a PS5, it automatically set up the best refresh rates and 1440 resolution. Like others have mentioned, the monitor is a little dim (compared to IPS or VA panels) but it isn't so dim that I have a hard time gaming on it. But that being said, I usually do most of my gaming later in the evening after work and tasks I had planned for the day. So I usually have my monitor set to a lower brightness anyway because maxing out screen brightness tends to hurt my eyes after extended periods. Gaming with the monitor with the lights on or with natural light coming through hasn't been an issue for me either. The antireflective coating does a great job during daytime and under room lights. Do I wish it was just a little bit brighter? Yes, but I'm sure LG has a good reason for limiting the brightness on this screen. Perhaps to prevent burn in?
Most importantly.. Response times on this monitor are amongst the best Ive ever gamed on. I have not noticed any ghosting, tearing or input lag at all. Whether gaming on a next gen console, or gaming PC.
I play alot of racing games and competitive multiplayer games, so the fast refresh rates are a must for me. If you play any racing, fighting or shooting game, You have to game on a monitor with fast refresh rates. If you are turned off by the fact that it isn't 4k, Trust me when I say that being able to game at 120-240hz @ 1440p is a much better upgrade then gaming @ 4K and 60hz.
Colors and Contrast ratio on this monitor are Amazing! The best I've ever gamed on. It definitely beats gaming on an IPS or VA panel for me. Blacks are Deep Black, and colors are perfectly saturated to my eyes.
Hardware - The stand is very sturdy and easy to put together. The Display also snaps on quite quickly and easily. There is only one button on the bottom that doesn't toggle many settings in the menu, but it comes with a remote which has been very easy and convenient to use. Make sure you don't lose it! Because I haven't found anyway to change some other settings with just the button. It has two HDMI 2.1 ports, a display port, an AUX (headphone ) port and Optical Audio port! I love love love that it has optical audio. My small bedroom sound bar only has optical audio jack so I can now hook that up to my monitor for gaming and movie watching. The "hexagram" lighting on the back is a pretty cool feature. Not necessary but It definitely sets the mood and helps my eyes stay adjusted for late night gaming.
Display size - At 27" I thought I might regret "downsizing" from a 32" but honestly I think I light gaming on a 27" better. I sit at a desk even when gaming on a console, so this size is like the goldilocks size. I can sit close and not feel overwhelmed. I found myself having to scoot back a little sometimes when gaming on my 32". 1440 resolution looks very good at this size.
Would I recommend this monitor? If you have the means, by all means. Splurge and treat yourself to this amazing monitor. I honestly feel like OLED is the future and best way to experience video games and movies. I think You'll love it as much as I do.
If I had any negatives to say about it, I would say is the max brightness. I don't know what the specs are. I tried looking online for info. Some say 200 nits, and others say 400 nits max. To my eyes, it looks about 300ish nits. But the positives of this monitor definitely make it worth your money.

Peace of Mind in a world full of Scammers/Hackers
on January 5, 2023

You can never be too careful these days with your personal data, credit and financial information. There are so many scammers and data phishers out there in the wild.I just had my LifeLock subscription activated recently and I was immediately informed that my SSN was detected on the Dark Web Black Market way back in 2015! Although, it did not specifically say where and what exactly happened. Even though I was alerted by that, I am glad to know that there hasn't been any personal info found on the dark web in recent years. Anyway.. this Norton Lifelock Standard plan provides dark web monitoring, ID Theft protection, 10 GB of cloud storage, a privacy monitor, a VPN, and device security. I have a MacBook Pro, and the software required to use some of the services was easily downloaded and installed. Norton makes it very simple to log in and check for any alerts and manage your account through their website. You will manage majority of the services through the Norton website. It is very cool, the service will monitor your credit cards, bank account, SSN, Drivers License, Address, Name, email, and even your Gamer Tag! It has you covered from literally ever angle. You can also freeze your credit and cards through the service. The website is very easy to navigate and pretty self explanatory. I was able to get all my info inputed and up and running in about 10 minutes. I think Norton provides an excellent service with this plan, and I highly recommend it if you want some peace of mind. Many websites have been hacked in recent times, and your personal data is out there for the world to get their hands on. I trust it to monitor my info and alert me as soon as anything sketchy happens! 5 Stars, You should definitely invest in this service.

Great software for learning how to edit photos
on November 20, 2022
Posted by: Ponskippa
I’ll start my review by mentioning that I’m a long time “amateur” photographer. I’ve owned several cameras in my lifetime and way back in like 2006/2007 I used to use photoshop quite often. Not sure what version it was but I had learned quite a bit by chatting with people online about how to use it. Anyway, fast forward to 2022. I hadn’t used photoshop in years. I forgot how to use photoshop and even though there’s a plethora of information on the internet now and countless tutorials on YouTube on how to use various software. You still need to make time and research what exactly you wanna learn. This was my first try with photoshop elements and It didn’t take me long time find my way around the software. It gives you separate tabs and categories on types of edits which make it quick and easy. There is also a “pro” mode for those of you who want to edit a photo without using presets. I do find many of the presets to be kind of tacky and unreal looking. So having the ability to edit a photo and just tweak the exposure and contrast is nice. I didn’t find myself editing photos too often lately because it is so time consuming. I got into the habit of just pointing and clicking. “Probably my iPhones fault”. But I’m being honest when I say that playing around with photoshop elements this past few days has sparked my interest and creativity in photography again. I used to love to sit and edit photos, it was fun finding out new tricks with photoshop. So this version of elements kind of made photo editing fun for me again. My favorite function so far has to be the object removal feature. It is so smart and easy to use. I’ll share a photo below of a photo I used it with. There is so much stuff to do with the software that it would probably take me all night to mention it all. Would I recommend it? Im going to say yes. Especially if you are just starting to learn photoshop and would like to upgrade to full photoshop later. This is a great way to learn and get started. It has so many useful features as well as a organizer / gallery for going back and forth between edits.

Voice and Ambient sound enhancing
on November 8, 2022
Posted by: Ponskippa
I want to start my review by giving you a little backstory / status of my current hearing. I’m 38 years old, I’ve been attending concerts since I was about 15 years old. Even attended some at a younger age. I played guitar in a band in my early 20s for a couple of years. I still play guitar at loud volumes, still attend concerts. And now I work at an airport, around loud airplanes with jet engines. Noise levels easily reach 100+ decibels in my work area. I take a hearing exam every year and I have mild hearing loss, specifically in my left ear. My right ear is still mostly okay. But my left ear has tinnitus and peoples voices sound like chipmunks on my left ear when I hold a phone up to it to talk. Even with headphones. I think I’ve lost the ability to hear certain frequencies in my left ear. Could be the tinnitus that drowns them out. Anyway I can’t hear crickets, toads at night out of my left ear. When I talk to my girlfriend on the phone I have to use my right ear. And when we are watching movies or just having a normal conversation while taking a stroll I have a hard time hearing her sometimes if she is walking to the left of me. Okay, on to my review sorry. I’m going to call these earbuds “hearing enhancers”. I’ve never used any actual prescribed or doctor recommended hearing aids so I can’t speak about the effectiveness in medical grade terms. Since I don’t have severe hearing loss yet. I just need a little boost to my hearing, especially in the left side. I would say that they help a bit, especially when out on a walk, or in an crowded environment. I am able to hear voices a little clearer. I tested it by only using the left earbuds for a while, and I found that using them both at the same time works best even though my hearing is good on my right ear. So whenever I am going to use these, I just put them both in so that they can do their thing in tandem. The Jabra enhance app gives you a hearing test when you first set these up. So it will adjust each earbud accordingly. I thought that was pretty neat. The app also allows you to adjust the volume, and choose three different sound settings. There is “focus”, “adaptive” and surround. I chose adaptive since I will be using them in different scenarios. I keep the volume at the default 7. Are these life changing for me? I’m going to say No. I think I was expecting to miraculously be able to hear the frequencies I can’t hear anymore. Do they help me hear better? Yeah, for the most part. I don’t say Huh, to my friends and relatives as often when using these while having conversations lol. If I had to describe what these sound / work like. I would say it kind of reminds me of the “live hearing” mode that iPhones have when using AirPods. Everything sounds a little digitally artificial to me with these on. And I think that was what let me down. Yes I can hear voices louder and clearer, but I can also hear someone crunching their food a lot louder than I need to lol. I think perhaps I need to tweak some settings in the conversation filter section of the app. I’m still fiddling / trying different modes and settings as I go. I do like that I don’t have to take these out of my ears when I want to listen to a YouTube video or music. Or if I get a phone call. I can just keep these on and do what I gotta do. The earbuds will play music and media while still filtering in ambient noise and voices. Pretty cool! Obviously music isn’t going to sound the best with these, but that’s not what they are intended to do. Would I recommend these to someone with severe hearing loss? I don’t know honestly. I would most definitely ask your doctor. These aren’t perfect, and I’m not sure I can say that they will miraculously return a deaf man’s hearing. But as a person with mild hearing loss in one ear, they work for me. I am happy to be able to have a conversation without asking people to repeat themselves as often. I don’t find myself having to lean down and closer to my girlfriend when talking to her when we are out on a walk or sitting in a restaurant. I don’t keep them in all the time, because i spend a lot of time in loud environments. But when I need to be able to hear a person clearer, i pop these in. I like the style and design of them, people don’t ask me many questions about them especially in public. They look like regular earbuds, only smaller. They are comfortable for long periods of use and battery life is excellent. I haven’t charged the case in about 4 days and the battery is still going.

Easy to install, high quality glass
on November 4, 2022
Posted by: Ponskippa
We all know the market is flooded with screen protectors. Some are “cheaper” than others. I know many people sometimes don’t want to spend a whole lot to protect the device they just spent hundreds of dollars on. But don’t want to skimp out and get a cheap protector that either is going to look bad or not provide much protection. Best Buy’s in house Insignia brand now has these screen protectors for iPhones. I’m the type that will change out a screen protector after only a 2/3 months. I like the feeling of a brand new smooth glass screen protector on my phone. Insignia provides you with three screen protectors in the box. I messed up on my first installation attempt, so I used a second one to perfect it. I have OCD, I can’t stand seeing lint under the glass so I had to remove it and try again. I’m glad they include 3 glass protectors in the box. It also comes with 3 packs of cleaning wipes, dust removal stickers and microfiber cleaning cloths. The cloth is a little on the cheap end, as are the wipes but I just appreciate the fact that the come included. It also comes with a guide frame to help install the screen protector. It makes installation quick and easy. The glass itself feels very smooth. Almost like the glass of the iPhone itself. I believe it has an oleophobic coating to keep your finger oils off the glass. It isn’t perfect but it certainly helps. I use the included cloth to give it a quick wipe down from time to time. The screen protectors are case friendly and you should have no issue using them with any case. The glass has a large cutout where the speaker grill and Face ID sensors are so keep that in mind. I don’t really notice the “anti reflective” properties they claim on the box, but glass is glass. And it’s obviously going to have some reflection to natural and artificial light. Would I recommend these? For sure. They are a very good option for screen protectors. They come with three, in case you mess up in the installation or if it cracks on you. They are high quality and don’t degrade the screen quality of my iPhone 13 Pro. I don’t know how long these will last me, but they’re so affordable, I have no problem buying more in a few months.

Great for music and movies, nonstop comfort
on November 3, 2022
Posted by: Ponskippa
I’m pretty impressed with these Logitech “Zone Vibe 100” headphones. I’ve been using them for watching movies / media on my android tablet and occasional music listening with my phone. I really like them for watching movies because they have this very good clarity with voices. I decided to watch a war movie on Netflix to test these and they sounded really impressive to me. On a scene where two men are having a conversation inside a make shift hospital, you can clearly hear their voices while the soundtrack is playing. During the scene there was also explosions going off in the distance and even though you could tell that the explosions were happening far from the hospital, the explosions still had a nice deep rumble. I honestly said Wow. For movies, YouTube, etc etc these are my current favorite headphones. They also seem to take good advantage of the Dolby atmos setting in my android tablet. For music, I’m equally impressed. I listen to a very broad variety of music genres and these sound great to me. They aren’t very bass heavy but you can definitely feel the lows against your ears and temple. Drums, guitars, vocals all sound great with these headphones. They are tuned fairly balanced out of the box. You can always download the Logitune app to tweak the EQ to your liking. I personally really like the default preset. No matter what song I listen to, no one instrument drowns out another. Even at medium volume, they sound crisp and punchy. I was expecting some hefty materials from these headphones but they are very lightweight. It makes for a comfortable listening and wearing experience. My ears and head don’t really get fatigued by the weight and fit of these headphones. They are so lightweight that my first impressions were that “these feel cheap” but after a few days of handling them and using them I appreciate the weight of the material. Even thought they are mostly lightweight plastic, it does feel pretty sturdy. I don’t think these will break very easily. You’ll have to be very clumsy or purposely break these. Battery life is very good. I haven’t used them much to talk on the phone or video conference but the microphone has a retractable boom that also acts as a mute toggle. All in all, I think these headphones are a great value and are perfect for any use case scenario. 5 out of 5. Would recommend!

Great budget option for movies and gaming
on October 17, 2022
Posted by: Ponskippa
I'm going to start off by saying that even though my review shows a 4 Star.. I would say its more like a 4 and a 1/2 star out of 5 for me. It has a lot of good things going for it except for a couple of minor annoyances. Lets talk about the good things first. It comes with a dongle which turns the projector into a "smart" Android TV projector. I've noticed a lot of projectors coming with dongles like this. I'm not sure why, but it is what it is. So when you first take the projector out of the box, you'll have to open it up the side door and plug the dongle into the HDMI and USB port before booting it. Or.. you can use the single HDMI port that this projector has. The included Android TV dongle is very snappy and responsive. I did not notice much lag at all with the Home Screen and user interface. It is Android 10, so it is a couple of updates behind. Perhaps it will get updated in time, but for now.. It works.
The built in 5w speaker is loud enough to fill a bedroom, or even an apartment living room with sound. The bass lacks a little but it is very usable. I am totally ok with just using the built in speaker for watching movies and TV shows. The lamp is very bright! Epson claims 3000 lumens. I have no way of measuring this, but I can assure you that it is definitely one of the brightest projectors I have ever gazed eyes upon. You can expect to get 12,000 hours of Lamp life in "eco" mode, which is plenty bright. I kept mine in eco mode all the time, since I only noticed a slight difference in brightness when turning the brightness to High. Lamp life drops down to 7,000 hours and the fan noise from the projector becomes audible when in high brightness mode. I also connected my xbox series X to the projector for a few rounds of Overwatch 2. The projector handled gaming surprisingly well, and the reason why I would almost give it a 5 star rating. I am an avid gamer so having a projector that I can game on is a huge bonus. I did not notice input lag when gaming. I don't have the tools to measure that either, but I was able to play first person shooter games and racing games with the projector. If I had to guess, I would say that it is under 30 ms. Probably in the 10-20ms range. It range just as good as any TV in game mode. The projector maxes out at 1080P and 60hz, so keep that in mind if you plan on using it for gaming. Color output is very nice and the included presets all look pleasing to my eyes. If I had to complain about anything about the picture quality, I would say is the contrast ratio. Blacks aren't the deepest Ive seen, but its a budget projector.
This projector has NETFLIX! I own several projectors, and this is the first one that includes Netflix! Thank you Epson for getting this installed into Android TV. Netflix seems to keep their app off a lot of projectors for whatever reason, so the fact that it comes preinstalled is a very nice bonus.
Cons: This thing only has 1 HDMI input. And it gets used up by the included Android dongle. I feel like this projector has enough space to include at least 2 HDMI ports. Sucks that they didn't include a second port, you'll have to disconnect the included Android dongle if you want to use any other device to game or watch a movie.
2.) This projector does not have any screw holes for installing a mount. So you won't be able to hang this from your ceiling. The only way to "mount" this projector is on a shelf or table / flat surface. It at least has a built in kick stand, so you can adjust the height a little.
3.) It could be me, but at very large screen sizes.. I would say close to 100 inches. It was hard to get a clear focus. I zoomed in digitally so adjust the picture and even though the center and right side of the screen were in focus, the left side looked a little blurry and soft. I had to zoom out and move the projector physically and adjust the focus slider some to get a better focus. Maybe its user error, but focusing the lens can be a little finicky.
Lastly, there is no AUX or Optical audio output on this projector, so you'll only get to use the built in 5w speaker or connect a bluetooth speaker. So keep that in mind.
All that being said.. Its hard to bash the projector on the couple of "cons" I listed because it seems to be meant to be a portable projector. Or at the very least, an easy to set up / user friendly starter projector for anyone. All in All, I am very impressed with this projector and I can recommend it to anyone looking for a budget projector. It is quite easy and quick to setup. You won't need to bring any additional hardware if you want to chill and watch a movie or play a video on a Huge screen. I wish the contrast was a little better, and the speaker had just a little more oomph but
out of the 5 or so budget projectors I have owned in my life, This one is definitely top 2.
4.5 Stars! Would Recommend.

Air fry in style! Cleans up quick and easy

I initially thought this air fryer might be too small but honestly it is the perfect size. It is large enough to cook more than enough food for two people. And if you need more than that? You can cook up another batch in minutes. It has a bunch of convenient presets on the screen, and if you need a guide to cooking other foods, it comes with a book that gives you a long list of foods and recommended cooking times / temperature settings. My gf and I air baked some mozzarella sticks on our first try and we followed the recommended settings in the book and they came out great. The cheese melted enough without a bunch leaking out, and the breading was just the right amount of crispy. We are going to air fry some chicken breasts in it tonight! I would say we could probably fit about 4 chicken breasts in the basket. It comes with these cool silicone cupcake molds in the box. We decided to use them for making egg bites in the morning. “Marshmellow” apparently collaborated with the brand to design the air fryer. It wasn’t a deciding factor for me, but the little air fryer definitely looks cool when lit up on the counter top lol. Adds a bit of flair to your kitchen. This air fryer is a game changer, and I can’t wait to try to cook up different dishes with it. I ultimately decided that I am 100% happy with its size because it is large enough to cook for more than 2 people, yet small enough to scrub clean in the kitchen sink. I would definitely recommend this air fryer to anyone as a starter or even if you’re looking to replace another.

Blink video door bell does it detect you even if you don't press the door bell button? Or how it works to notify you? Would you receive alert notification if some one is at door just standing?

Yes, you can choose to have motion detection on and or just doorbell. They both work great. Motion detection is so good on it that it captured a video of my neighbors cat running by chasing a squirrel lol

Does it connect with iOS

I assume that it will, although you might need a lightning to USB C adapter. But I can confirm that it does connect to iPad OS on iPads that have a USB-C port

i have a hard time with my airpods pro my ears are just so small and they always fall out. Will these work better? i just want something that won't fall out so much and use all-day

That’s hard to say, since Ive never had issues with AirPods or AirPods Pro falling out of my ear, but I can say that these are very comfortable. They come with three different sizes of rubber tips so you can find a fit that works for you. But I think the design of these are great and they shouldn’t fall out.
