Elite for a reason. The XR PRO was designed for the inner-city commutes. Foldable in one step, take it on the bus, the train or in a taxi if you need to make a bit longer of a commute. Weighing less than 32lbs means carrying is no issue when stairs or other obstructions get in the way.

great for beginners

This is my first electric scooter ever, and I feel like it is a great starter scooter for adults. Im 6' tall and about 240 lbs and I am able to balance myself pretty good on it. It was relatively easy to put together. Most of it is already done, you just have to attach the handle and grips to the bar which is done with a few screws and an Allen wrench. You connect the power cable that is hidden inside the bar before doing so. My only complain / fear is that I had to release the brake cable a bit to give it more slack before running it through the brake handle. It was too tight out of the factory. And since this is my first time ever owning a scooter, It took me a while to figure out why I couldn't pull and thread the brake line through the handle. I have the paranoia in the back of my mind , that I didn't do it right and one day the brake line is going to come loose lol. It's been fine, but I tend to overthink. So I'd like to mention to the manufactures, that Please make sure the brake line is set to the correct length before shipping them out. Anyway.. The deck is long and wide enough for me. The bar is long (tall). While standing on it, the bars are pretty much just above my belly button. Making it a comfortable ride height. It has a bell for alerting pedestrians that you are coming. A bright headlamp for nighttime cruising, and 2 speed settings. I believe the first speed keeps you below 10mph, which is where I always keep it and the 2nd speed lets you reach the max of 15.5 mph. It has a cruise control setting which lets you keep a constant speed. But I didn't use that either since I don't travel very long distances with it. The battery claims to have a 19 mile range before charging it. I think it's pretty accurate, I haven't had to charge it since I took it out of the box about a week ago. I've used it to take a stroll around the park near me and to run to the convenient store for snacks and beverages. The last and only other negative I should mention is that it does not come with a key or any type of security device. So I wouldn't leave it laying around where someone could easily steal it. So I would recommend a locking cable for it to deter would be thieves. All in All, I would recommend this scooter if you are a first time owner or even a seasoned scooter rider. It has great range and battery life, charges quickly and was relatively easy to learn to ride / balance myself on. Start slow, it definitely has some pep to it lol. And always wear a helmet!

Fast printer, quick and easy to setup
on August 3, 2023
Posted by: Ponskippa
I’m going to start by saying that I was initially put off by the setup process when I read the instructions but I am going to tell you that it was pretty much a plug and play experience. I connected the printer to my router with an Ethernet cable as suggested and once plugged, the printer pretty much automatically set itself up. It established a connection and was ready to go. The ink cartridge is pre installed on this printer, so the only thing you need to do to get printing is put in a ream of paper. The paper tray holds 300 sheets of paper. There is an app that you can download to your windows or Mac OS machine for templates, driver updates and other miscellaneous tasks. I don’t think there is an app for mobile devices for this printer. I thought I was only going to be able to print from my laptop because it suggests you download the the software for yoir computer but wireless printing from my smartphone and tablet also works flawlessly with this printer. This printer only prints in black and white, so keep that in mind! But the prints are crisp and the ink is deep black. The ink cartridge looks easy to replace, the printer pops open and it looks like you can just pull out the ink cartridge. I didn’t try since it was already ready to go for me, so I’ll cross that bridge when I reach it. This printer only comes with a power cable, so you’ll also have to provide a Ethernet or USB cable to get it set up. Printing with this machine is super fast and convenient. I think it’ll be perfect for those of you with small businesses or offices that need to print paperwork reliably. My girl is a teacher, so this will be perfect for her to print assignments and class paperwork. All in all, I’m very happy with this printer, it was super easy to set up and it prints really fast.

Comfortable. Great sound and microphone quality
on July 29, 2023
Posted by: Ponskippa
In a time when more and more phone manufacturers are removing headphone jacks from phones, this earbud comes in handy for talking on the phone. Not only is it great for phone calls, it’s pretty great for any other voice over internet app you might be using. FaceTime, What’sApp, PlayStation chat. Etc etc. I personally use mine to chat with my friends over PlayStation and Xbox chat apps on my iPhone while I’m gaming. The hook is more comfortable than I was expecting. My ears tend to get tired after a little while when wearing a hook earbud but this one is comfortable for long periods. The only complaint I have is that the earbud kind of just rests in your ear vs “plugging” it. If that makes any sense. Perhaps it’s better for comfort but sometimes I feel like it isn’t even in my ear. Sound quality is good, and battery life is excellent! Definitely lasts a lot longer than any other wireless earbud I’ve used in the last for phone calls. Microphone quality seems to be good, my friends say my voice is loud and clear. I asked if they could hear much background noise while having our TV playing in the background and my friends said they couldn’t really tell. The BlueParrot app is easy to use and convenient for updating firmware and settings. Not necessary for using it but it’s nice to have. Would I recommend this headset? Yeah, it’s kind of grown on me. It’s lightweight, comfortable and great for talking and gaming chat.

Makes me feel like a kid again
on June 17, 2023

I’ve been gaming with the Asus ROG Ally for the past 5 days and I’ve had a lot of fun gaming with it. Handhelds aren’t new to the market, but technology is getting really good for portable PC’s and laptops and the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor in this machine is proving to be quite powerful. I say it makes me feel like a kid again, because I remember how much fun I used to have playing with a game boy when I was a kid. It was large, clunky and it was so cool to just pick it up and start playing instantly, And the batteries die almost as quickly lol. The Ally has run every game I have tested quite flawlessly. Just to name a few.. Days Gone, Fortnite, Rocket League, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Ultra Street Fighter IV, Tiny Tinas’s Wonderland, Red Dead Redemption, Destiny 2. 😅 They all ran pretty well in performance mode. I did have to turn down the resolution to 720p for Tiny Tina’s and Red Dead but they still looked great and played good. Battery life is about what I was expecting, I’m averaging about 1- 2 hours of gameplay in performance mode. I keep it in performance mode about 90% of the time. I find it to be the best mode for gameplay and battery life. If you are playing older games or the classic style indie games you might be able to play in silent mode. The Ally is definitely larger than I was expecting but it is very comfortable to hold for extended gaming sessions. My hands never really cramped or fatigued with it when gaming for more than an hour. The joysticks are comfortable and I didn’t find them to be in an awkward position. My only complaint about the joysticks is that they seem a little “loose” and they seem to have some deadzones / not the most responsive joysticks. They are definitely perfectly fine for casual / single player games but I would not rely on them for competitive gaming where you will want faster and more accurate response from your joysticks. Yeah, you could always pair or connect a Gamepad with a cable but in my opinion, that defeats the purpose of playing handheld. I haven’t gotten to buy / try the charging / hdmi dock that Asus makes for it but I am definitely going to grab one. I think the coolest thing about it is that you can bring it with you anywhere and just bring a couple cables and controllers and play on a TV or monitor. My nephews love playing Fortnite and rocket league together and I quickly jump in with them with my Ally. There is so many cool use possibilities with this and everyone I’ve showed it to so far is amazed by it. Back to the controls.. the buttons have been fine, they are tactile and responsive. The shoulder triggers are great, they’re really good to be honest and they are comfortable also. The two buttons on the back kind of get in the way and I tend to accidentally press them often, but they don’t cause me too much trouble. I have fairly large hands though, so they might not be a problem for most people. The screen is beautiful and vibrant and the speakers are impressive. I keep them below 40% cos they are loud. The fans are pretty silent and do a great job at keeping the machine cool. I haven’t had any frame drops because of heat. The fans and vents blow the air up and away from you, so I can never really feel any heat from it. Only when I reach up to press the volume or power button I’m like Oh, it’s toasty. Anyway, I’m just rambling now.. but all in all, I love this handheld gaming PC. Yeah.. windows isn’t really optimized for a handheld, but Asus did a great job with amory crate, it’ll boot up straight to that screen, and you can launch your games from it without having to bother with other launchers or shortcuts. The 512gb SSD is very fast and is enough storage for me. I am going to get a micro SD card later, and drop it in the slot for bonus storage. ASUS has been dropping updates pretty much every day, so I can see it only getting better as time goes on. I’m excited for the future of the Ally and looking forward to playing my favorite games on it. My only complaint is about the joysticks, I wish they were a little more accurate and responsive. They aren’t terrible, but I won’t be winning any tournaments online with them.
Would I recommend it? If you love gaming and have the money for it, yes. It’s really cool, and it’s great for couch gaming with friends and family.

Incredible sound and value

I’ve been gaming with this headset for the past week with my PS5 and I am very pleased with it. It is very comfortable. My first night with it I played with my buddy online for about 4/5 hours and my ears never really got fatigued. The earcups have a memory foam type material and did not bother my ears at all. The leatherette on the earcups is nice and cool. They also come with foam pad earcups that you can swap them with if you prefer. But the default earcups are the best in my opinion. The headband is very strong and sturdy while being lightweight. I am confident that it can take abuse for some time. The microphone is easily removable. My buddy said he had no problems hearing and understanding me while we were in chat. It’s not studio quality but to me, it is good enough for live streaming and uploading your game clips to your platform of choice. The sound quality of the headset is outstanding. I’m going to put it in my top 3 list of best sounding gaming headsets that I’ve ever used. They don’t have that generic digital sound that many gaming headsets suffer from. They have a very nice warm and natural sound. Bass is booming without over powering mids and highs. When playing call of duty and Fortnite, I was able to determine where enemies were coming from because I could hear their footsteps clearly even though there was a lot of explosions and shooting going on around me. Sometimes I like to listen to music while gaming, and these also perform nicely for that. Music sounds nicely balanced while my favorite games still punch through bassy and clearly. My gf appreciates me gaming with these at night lol, I don’t bother her with the loud sounds from the video games I play while she goes to sleep. Yeah, these headphones are a little expensive. But they come with a lot of accessories and are made of premium materials. They are definitely worth your hard earned money. Logitech surprised me with these headphones. If you’re on the fence and reading this, go ahead and treat yourself. I think you’ll love them as much as I do.
Pros: Quick connect with included USB dongle
Incredible surround sound quality
Compatible with both PS5 and PC
Very long battery life and Charges quickly
Includes many accessories and storage bag
Great microphone, don’t feel the need for a dedicated mic.
Cons: a little expensive

Comfortable, accurate and very responsive

I’ve been gaming with this mouse for the last week or so, and I really like it. I thought it was a little too “light” initially but the longer I sat there and played with it on my table top, the more comfortable it felt in my hand. It glides on my table nice and smoothly without a mouse pad. That is perhaps my favorite thing about it. I game with a laptop, usually on my dining table. So the less accessories I have to carry with me, the better. I have had absolutely no issues playing my FPS shooters with this mouse on a table top. It is still quick and accurate enough for me. It is pretty basic and only had a few clickable buttons. It has the typical left and right click. The side “up and down” clicks and the scroll wheel which also clicks. You can customize what you want each button to do with the included software that will install when you first plug into your windows computer. You can change the “dpi” also with the software or the click of a button that is located underneath. I opted to use the default speed since it is fast enough for me and I can still aim and point accurately with it. The braided cable feels pretty premium, and it includes a small carrying bag for it. The mouse itself feels well built even though it is made of very lightweight material. I don’t think I’ll be breaking it anytime soon. All in all, I can recommend this mouse to anyone who wants a fairly compact, lightweight and comfortable / ergonomic gaming mouse. There is no fancy RGB lighting on it, but I am totally fine with that. I really like the sleek matte / modern design of this mouse. It compliments my laptop / workspace area nicely and is excellent for gaming.

Google Nexus reincarnated
on May 16, 2023
Posted by: Ponskippa
There was a time when Google would release a phone called the Google Nexus. I used to be a big fan of them. Firstly, because it came with stock android OS and they were very affordable and usually had decent performing hardware. I used to pretty much upgrade to the newest one every year.
Fast forward to 2023, and Google now has the Pixel A line. I like to think of it as the Google Nexus.
This years version is called the Pixel 7a. It is very affordable (compared to most flagships these days.)
It has stock android OS, and comes with all of Google's very helpful Assistant / Ai software. It also feels pretty premium. I believe the back is plastic, but it feels like glass. It has Googles Tensor G2 chip (the latest I believe) and 128GB of storage! I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality. It definitely feels like a like a premium phone. All for a great affordable price . The OLED screen, is vibrant in my opinion. It is just bright enough for outdoor use on a bright sunny day. I wish it was just a tad brighter, but it is fine. It is lightweight, has a classy modern design and is comfortable for one handed use. One thing I feel like I should mention is, I would recommend that you put a screen protector on as soon as you take it out of the box. Ive been carrying it around in my pocket every day, while I wait for the screen protector to come in and it already has a fine hairline scratch on the glass :( Battery life has been really good. I'm averaging 24+ hours before I plug it in to charge. Even so, It hasn't really dipped below 25% on me. That was even after a day out of shooting photos and videos to test the camera. I can see this phone easily lasting a full day for heavy users and probably 2+ days for light users.
The pixel line is known for having great cameras with amazing smart software in the camera and Google Photos app. The Pixel 7a does not disappoint. I really enjoy taking photos and videos with this phone. It's cool to see Google Photos work its magic. It has a really neat feature called "recommended shot". The camera app takes a burst of photos when you take a photo. Then it will sometimes recommend a shot from the burst thet it thinks makes for a more interesting photo! Or because your photo might have been blurry or a bad angle / face turned away. It will also recommend Frame grabs to make a photo taken from a video you record with the camera. The Google Photos app has some really cool tricks up its sleeves, that I believe are exclusive to the Google Pixel phone. To me, this is the most important / deciding factor for me about the Google Pixel line. I love being able to have a smartphone in my pocket that will reliably take a beautiful photo for me. All while doing most of the work for me when it comes to editing and organizing my photos in the cloud. It is hands down the best and most helpful software that Google has created. Speaking of Ai and Assistants.. The Pixel 7a seems to have most of the software tricks that its more expensive phones in the Pixel line have. Call screening, voice recorder, live translation and captions are available to use on the 7a. The google assistant is very accurate and reliable for understanding my commands / voice and providing the info I was looking for instantly. I've had this phone in my hands for about 5 days and I am still finding new software tricks with this phone. My only complaints about the 7a are that I wish it took better video.
The photos this phone puts out are very good. But the video quality leaves a bit to be desired. There was some noise even at the widest angle. Low light footage isn't very good, even on an overcast day.. You pretty much need perfect light to take a good looking video with this phone.
My only other complaint is that even though the phone has Googles newest processor.. and a high refresh rate screen. Some apps still seem to stutter / lag visibly. I don't know if it's a hardware issue or a software / android problem. I was expecting most games and apps to run flawlessly.
All in all, would I recommend this phone? If you don't want to spend a fortune and want the best of Google's hardware and software.. I would highly recommend this phone. This phone will only get better with software updates from Google. Google's long list of features and functions that Google's Ai / Assistant offer is well worth the price of entry with this phone. I love this phone, it makes my busy life a bit easier to navigate. Thank you Google!

Still the gaming laptop to beat
on May 10, 2023
Posted by: Ponskippa
Asus has been on a roll lately with their products, and this latest version of the G14 with the Ryzen 9 and RTX 4060 is very powerful while keeping the same compact form factor. That being said, it would have been cool if Asus updated the design of the hardware. If you look at this laptop and the one from the last two years, it’s hard to tell them apart. This new version has a Matte feeling texture coating on the inside. It was a welcome change. It feels comfortable against my Palms and it doesn’t absorb your hands oils. The 4060 comes with 8gb of VRAM. It has performed very good with every game I have installed. I play Fortnite, Rocket League, Tiny Tina’s Wonderland and Destiny 2. Not the most demanding titles, but they all run great at their highest settings with this laptop. They all managed to run at 120fps while plugged in. The screen on this skew looks like an IPS monitor to my eyes, there is some IPS type blooming when looking at dark screens. I could be wrong, so don’t quote me. But it is a very beautiful screen though. It is bright and very vibrant. The colors pop and look saturated. It has 165hz refresh rate and I could not notice any ghosting or input lag. I like the aspect ratio of the screen, it takes advantage of every inch. There is hardly any bezel so when you play a game in full screen, the game pretty much fills all the screen real estate. I really like the screen. It makes it feel a little larger than 14”. If you really plan on taking a gaming laptop with you everywhere, I definitely recommend this 14” over 15.6” or larger. It is so lightweight and hardly takes up any space in my backpack. The keyboard is very responsive and tactile, I’m still not a huge fan of the RGB lighting on this keyboard. It’s hard to tell what keys you’re looking at sometimes with the backlights on. I usually turn them off or choose a blue or green color so that I can see the keys better against the white chiclet keys. There is plenty of ports on this laptop 2 of which are USB C ports which support USB 3.2. I immediately purchased an external 1 TB SSD for this laptop because frankly the 512gb of internal space just isn’t sufficient. I have 4 games installed and I only have about 127gb of free storage available now. So I would highly recommend that you either get an external SSD or upgrade it internally. I personally don’t plan on upgrading the drive internally because the games load just as fast off the external SSD I purchased for it. Battery life is decent when not gaming on the battery. Performance is surprisingly good while on battery. I was able to play rocket league and Destiny 2 at 120fps for about 3 hours before I had to plug it in to charge. I prefer to keep the laptop plugged in when gaming because you’ll get much better performance from the processor and GPU when plugged in, but the battery should get you through a full day if you just do some light web browsing or work / media consumption on it.
Would I recommend this laptop? I’m going to go ahead and say yes.. definitely. The Ryzen 9 chip is very fast while and sips battery power and the Nvidia 4060 will probably be able to run most games coming in the next 5 years. I just really wish Asus would have included at least a 1TB internal drive. Game files are massive now, and 512gb just isn’t enough. If you plan on playing call of Duty on this, you’ll easily fill almost 1/3 of its capacity. I still have to give it a 5 star rating though, this little laptop is very impressive for its size and weight and it is probably the best gaming laptop money can buy in this form factor.

Classic Marshall Design, looks great, sounds great
on May 8, 2023

As a long time guitarist and musician / music lover, I was drawn to the Marshall Acton III by its beautiful and classic Marshall styling. I love that it kind of resembles a guitar amp. I wanted it for my Vinyl record player. I connected it via Bluetooth, and I love this little speaker. The toggle on and off switch feels just like a guitar amp switch. The volume, treble and bass knobs are a nice touch. Most Bluetooth speakers don’t have any sort of physical controls for that. Having the ability to tweak treble and bass on the fly is a must have for me. I think they are “fly by wire”. So, when you adjust the volume, or EQ, it takes a second or so to make the change. If that makes any sense? Not a deal breaker, but keep that in mind, when adjusting volume or EQ with the knobs. Build quality is excellent, it feels like a solid and well built Marshall head lol. Feels like it is built to last and come with you on the road for tours ! (or holidays) It requires a power connection (no built in battery) but that is ok with me. It stays put near my record player at home. Sound quality is fantastic. It gets very loud. I leave it at about 30-40% and it easily fills our living room. Bass and treble sound great. To my ears, it kind of has that warm / classic sound of a Marshall cab. It’s great for vinyl record listening in my opinion. It will also pair with your phone, tablet, laptop via Bluetooth or Amy device that has an AUX out port. Thank you Marshall for including the 3.5mm input, I still use and love having that option. Would I recommend this speaker? YES! It sounds great, and looks beautiful on any shelf. I love it and I think you will too.

Budget Ballers
on April 23, 2023

These headphones aren’t “mind blowing” but they are impressive for their price point. They are lightweight, comfortable and battery life is excellent. Sound quality is very good, I’ve enjoyed using them to listen to podcasts and watch YouTube videos. Voices come through really clean and clear even with background music playing in the video. I watched a whole movie on Netflix and my iPad with these on and my ears never got tired. (A problem I typically have with on ear headphones.) For music, these headphones are pretty decent. Bass and lows are deep without drowning out highs and mids. They don’t bash on your skull, but you can definitely hear the bass in most songs with these. Build quality is good. They feel very sturdy even tho they are lightweight. The buttons are all tactile and the cushion pads are comfortable. They do have a pretty neat feature called “360 reality audio” if you’re willing to pay for the services required. But it seems to be locked to apps that require subscriptions. Tidal, Amazon music, artist connection, nugs.net, peer tracks. I don’t personally use any of those services so I wasn’t really able to test the function. It seems cool from the “demo” that the app let me listen to for the feature but I don’t plan on subbing to any of those services, so keep in mind that if you want to use the 360 audio feature, you’ll need to be a subscriber for a compatible app. That would probably be my only complaint about these headphones. I understand that it’s a feature that the apps provide, so it’s not entirely Sony’s fault. Another thing to note is that they do not have active noise cancelling but it’s forgivable at this budget. I would recommend these headphones if you want a good set of affordable headphones. Or if you already happen to be a subscriber of a 360 audio compatible app. It’s nice to see Sony put out a good sounding and reliable set of affordable headphones.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Blink video door bell does it detect you even if you don't press the door bell button? Or how it works to notify you? Would you receive alert notification if some one is at door just standing?

Yes, you can choose to have motion detection on and or just doorbell. They both work great. Motion detection is so good on it that it captured a video of my neighbors cat running by chasing a squirrel lol

Does it connect with iOS

I assume that it will, although you might need a lightning to USB C adapter. But I can confirm that it does connect to iPad OS on iPads that have a USB-C port

i have a hard time with my airpods pro my ears are just so small and they always fall out. Will these work better? i just want something that won't fall out so much and use all-day

That’s hard to say, since Ive never had issues with AirPods or AirPods Pro falling out of my ear, but I can say that these are very comfortable. They come with three different sizes of rubber tips so you can find a fit that works for you. But I think the design of these are great and they shouldn’t fall out.
