I saw Bruce Willis had a new movie out and after seeing him on the front cover with a Sig like mine I figured he had a new action flick out and had to see it. Wish now I hadn't have wasted my money as this movie is oh so stupid and totally lame! The only part that had something funny in it was the beginning when the cop was going down the list of different movies in the interogation room and he mentioned one of Bruce's past movies and Bruce's character simply played like he never saw that one before. That was funny, but the rest of the film was a waste of my time!
This movie, in my opinion, went really in depth to the politics of both American and Iraq in the early days when America first invaded the city and the deception of our intelligance community. Besides the political picture this film also has much exciting Class 3 weapons exchanges and suspensfull dramatic scenes and all together made for one heck of a movie. I really enjoyed it alot, but I had to watch it several times in order to really understand what was going on. But the movie is really great and Matt Damon's role in this is perfect! Some violence and language, but not enough to talk about and the movie, in my opinion, is well worth seeing.
Megaproducer Stephen J. Cannell scored yet another of his numerous hits with the police drama Hunter, an NBC series that ran for a respectable seven seasons, from the fall of 1984 through the fall of 1991. Assessed by many as a successful attempt to recapture the popularity of Dirty Harry on the small screen, the program starred Fred Dryer as Detective Sergeant Rick Hunter, a stalwart member of the Los Angeles Police Department's homicide division, who wielded an enormous magnum and repeatedly demonstrated his fondness for firing first and asking questions afterward. His stock phrase was "Works for me," a saying that he uttered as a justification of his no-nonsense, hyper-aggressive approach to doling out justice. Assisting Hunter was Dee Dee McCall (Stepfanie Kramer), an astonishingly sexy but ruthless female cop, nicknamed "The Brass Cupcake." Later in the series, Dee Dee left the L.A.P.D. to get married, at which point Rick graduated to the L.A.P.D.'s Metro Division. This set from Mill Creek Entertainment contains the entire series, with all 152 original episodes.

I got these dvds thinking they were a modern cops show I had never seen, but in truth they looked to be made in the 80's and it's about two police detective's. Rick Hunter { Fred Dryer } a tough, street wise sergeant that carries a .44 magnum revolver or his custom .44 pistol and his parter Dee Dee McCall { Stephanie Kramer } a stunningly beautiful sergeant who carries a pearl gripped .380 auto and is tough as they come, but prefers hot, bubble baths over busting bad guys. The show has alot of clean humor, exciting firefights and car chases. I would best describe this along the lines of the " A-Team " and " Dirty Harry " only family friendly - with some exceptions. So get out the popcorn and your magnum for some exciting, take down the bad guy action!
This box set contains every episode from the first season of the NBC drama Las Vegas. Many of the episodes contain footage that had been edited out of their original airings. Each is presented in the original broadcast aspect ratio. The bonus features include a look at the history of Las Vegas, NV, a tour of the hotel that provides the setting for the series, and a third featurette titled "Rumble in the Montecito."

Great show! Tom Selleck is my favorite actor, but for this show James Caan make's a much better lead actor. Lot's of exciting busts on the casino floor and alot of laughs throut the shows. The later seasons have some interesting plots with Ed Deline's { James Caan } old CIA pals and his days with the agency. Then there is alot of personal conflicts between the rest of the hotel employees. All together this is a fun show to watch, but would not recomend it to younger viewers - definatly for adults. Lot's of adult humor, skin and some language. One thing I didn't care for was one of the dvd extras as there was alot of nudity and crude language. When Tom Selleck became the lead actor, on later seasons, the show cleaned up a little and gave it a more conservative approach and the humor was more clean and funny.
Before the President was the only one authorized to launch a nucular bomb from a submarine - the sub commander was the man with the authorization! This movie is about a sub commander with an itchy trigger finger and a crew that back's him up, but when they are cut off from communication and there last received message was not clear they have to make a decision rather to launch a nucular strike or stand down. This isn't one of these nucular dissaster films, it's more of an action Navy movie and is in many way's alot like " The Hunt for Red October ". A story about what could have happened and a real must see movie!
What's great about it: The excitment and suspense!
These shows were the greatest! Used to watch them on tv alot, but then got too busy to make them. Now, they're on dvd and better than ever. Andy Griffith's old fashioned, laid back and country boy swaggar really make for a great show. Then Tyler and Conrad, his P.I. sidekicks, are really funny and fun to watch too. Clean cut, family friendly entertainment packed with alot of suspensefull mystery's. Just grab a hotdog, sit back and get ready for a good mystery!
What's great about it: Everything just a great tv show!
Both these Chuck Norris films are great - the endings are a bit predectable though, but that's what make's these so unique. The bad guys are allways taken down hard and the good guys allways prevail. The last scene in " Missing In Action " while Chuck was dangling from that Huey over the water really happened and was a flaw in the filming. Chuck was supposed to drop into the water and a stunt man take over, but the pilot took off with Chuck Norris on the end of the ladder, but they kept it in the movie. Knowing that it was fun to watch that particular scene! But both of them were really entertaining - however be warned as there is alot of strong language and violence thruout both movies.
I allways loved watching these old movies best! Why? Because when you think about it you find out that when these movies were made the west was still wild and there were still real cowboys and real gunfighters still around. Not as many, of course, but it was still the wild west. Something about these movies is they have no music or sound because it was not yet invinted! That is so cool! It was a time none of us ever experienced, but we know that it existed thru these films. I would recomend getting a bunch of these to watch as they are also very entertaining and good for the whole family and people of all ages.
What's great about it: The Duke
What's not so great: The big hats - Duke keeps dropping his gun?
Found this movie on sale and it sounded interesting. It was neat at first watching them survive on the island and all the friendly arguments, but then the husband showed up and the movie went down in rating for me. I thought this was a story about survival on a deserted island, but in fact it is a raunchy film about adultery and a dangerous love triangle between a wife, her husband and a younger islander that she falls in love with. I wouldn't recomend this as a family film as it has alot of highly explicit scenes, strong language and some bloody violence! It's nothing like I expected it to be, but it does have some entertainment quallities still.
What's great about it: The end when the girl wins!
What's not so great: Billy Zane { creepy guy and actor }
Jason Bourne is a highly skilled and expert spy trained in just about everything it takes to survive. Expert marksman, martial artist, multiple identies, urban camoflauge and much more. Left for dead without an identity and a case of amnesia he starts out on a mission of his own to find out who he is - but he is not the only one searching for the truth. Others are also trying to find him and take him out of the picture, but it is far from easy when you are stalking Jason Bourne. These movies are based on Robert Ludlum's series of novels and is highly intense and exciting. Good for the whole family with some violence and language though.
What's great about it: The last minute of the last movie!
What's not so great: They're aren't enough of these movies out!
