Nice Little Unit
on January 2, 2019

This is my first foray into non-manual facial grooming so truth be told, I have little to compare it to. That said, so far it's a great little unit. It comes with 4 attachments that can do most anything I can imagine would be needed. The battery life is great and the fact that it has a built in vacuum makes for easy clean-up and less mass.
In all, I would certainly recommend it both for personal use and as gift for the right person.

Impressive, With Room For A Small Improvement
on December 11, 2018
Posted by: Posted1

First impression:
This little set is packaged well. Opened and everything had a quality feel and positive tactile feedback.
Pillbox carry case / charger is great. Compact, lightweight and easy to carry in pocket.
Earbuds are small, solid, light and have quality feel.
Out of box:
Earbuds were charged a little bit, pillbox carrier/charger was about 75% charged. Charged all for 45 minutes and was good to go.
Pairing:
Simple (Android). Literally 30 seconds and both nodes paired, no fuss.
Connectivity:
Wow. These little buds have GREAT range, and I don't ALL CAPS for nuthin'. The range was better than several more expensive units I have tested. Stereo was synched instantly as I tested going out of range and then coming back in range. Really impressive.
Sound:
Very good. These are not Sonos/Sonance, Bose, Polk et al but the sound is great. For tiny buds, I can give them a solid 8.5 on sound. I'm impressed.
Fit:
They fit this Fat Daddy's ear great. I took them for a 45 minute fast-walk and they did great. I would question a little how they would do during a high intensity work out, but for casual stuff they are great.
Areas for improvement:
External controls are... Well... Almost worthless. I would have LOVED separate volume/track controls. I understand why they don't have them. That's A LOT of engineering into a small package for this value price.
Final thoughts:
Wow. For the price, come on. Can't be beat. These are great. Very good sound, great battery life, comfort. I would proudly recommend them to a friend.
The improvements I would suggest: Ad a couple buttons for volume up/down and power.
Other than that, fantastic workout companions.

Decent Laptop
on December 1, 2018

This is a very decent little laptop. It's very light weight, sleek, and portable. The battery life is above average. One charge will last longer than my other laptop. The fingerprint authentication is great and the pin recognition is very handy. The keyboard is a little on the smaller side, and I have small hands, so if you have larger hands you can expect to have some difficulty.
I wish that this had a CD rom drive, that addition would make it almost perfect. The touch screen is a major selling point. I like that it acts as a tablet and a laptop. The screen is decent sized and the clarity is above average. Overall, I give this 4 stars for being above average. It's not perfect, but so little actually is. This is a good little machine.

Throw back to the dust buster

This is a very sleek, compact, hand held vacuum. Very stylish and compact. Decent suction power, slightly on the louder side. The collection bin is very small, so if you have a spill of any notable size you will probably have to empty it in the middle of your clean up. The battery could last a little longer, in my opinion. but for a quick clean up of the random collection of dust bunnies or dirt it works well. Is great for small spaces like my camper!

The "Space Shuttle" of blenders
on November 19, 2018
Posted by: Posted1
from Niwot CO
This blender is a beastly machine. It is sleek and mean. It makes easy work of ice for smoothies and frozen drinks. The vacuum takes longer than I expected to create the "oxygen free" blending atmosphere, almost to the point of wondering what is taking so long, but it's worth it when you make the frozen drinks. I'm taking off 1 star from the rating for the noise. This blender is LOUD. I've definitely used blenders from other makers that are much quieter and just as powerful, but this system is still great. The food processor is sizeable, the dough attachment is very handy. The individual serving size cup is nice as well for when you only want a small amount (single size smoothies, sauces, dressings and such). Overall this is an impressive blending system.

Great Mesh System
on November 10, 2018

from Niwot CO
My house is 1600 sq. ft. on main level and then 1600 sq. ft. in walkout basement. We have had 4 different wireless routers over the years and for some reason, there has always been a weak zone where I would get signal, but dramatically lower speeds and occasional drops. After adding this system, that coverage hole utterly disappeared.
First impressions, the packaging had a great feel and protected the handsome nodes quite well. Initial setup was quite easy. Open my existing Linksys App, chose option to add new equipment and I was off an running. Setting up the main node took 3 or 4 minutes and then each of the remote nodes another 4 minutes or so each. I really like the remote nodes design in that they simply plug into a wall, no fuss. I also like that each unit has a discreet LED showing status with a simple glance.
OK, everything is in place and I now turned my wireless off at the router so the wireless is all Velop. The first test, the infamous "dead-zone" and ran a speed test. It hit 120 Mbps consistently. Excellent. Ran several spped tests from all over the house and even outside and was easily hitting 90 Mbps all over the property where I would ever use WiFi,
In all, this is a great unit for anyone who might need for a larger home or in y case, a trouble spot. After 2 days of use, my wife, son, daughter and I have had no complaints and absolutely no coverage or capacity issues. Plenty of speed and coverage to go around.
A really solid product if you have the need. I would eagerly recommend to a friend.

Who says you need a big box for big bass? The Bose Bass Module 500 will take your music, movies, and more to the next level. Its rich, thunderous bass in a compact, 10-inch cube makes it easy to hide and even easier to hear. Wireless connectivity allows you to place the Bose Bass Module 500 nearly anywhere. Leave it next to the TV or put it under your entertainment center - the choice is yours.

It's OK But Could Be Better
on November 3, 2018

Decent unit, but could be a little better
Please note, all of this review is the Bose Bass Module 500 matched with the Bose Sounbar 500.
The Good:
+Music sound is very good. Warm bass that is there but not overwhelming.
+Overall quality is good.
+Aesthetically pleasing.
Th "Mmehh"
=TV and movie listening, the sounds are good but not quite as rich and full as I am used to. Was hoping for a little more from Bose legacy reputation..
The kinda' bummers:
-As mentioned, the sound for music is great, but it does not seem to carry the ground-shaking thunder of other soundbar and bass-modules I have experienced.
In all, its an OK unit, especially if music is your deal, and it's utilitarian and does its job adequately well.
I would recommend it, but with defined caveats for the movie lovers.

The stylish Bose Soundbar 500 speaker is meant to be heard, not seen. Its thin profile fits discreetly under the TV screen, while its powerful acoustics fill the room with sound. And with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant built in, all your favorite music is just an ask away, or use it as a central hub to control your existing smart home devices.

I Mean... It's OK, But Not Outstanding
on November 3, 2018
Posted by: Posted1
from Niwot CO
Title pretty much sum's it up. I mean, it's OK but not what I was expecting.
Please note, all of this review is the Bose Sounbar 500 matched with the Bose Bass Module 500. Any mentione of bass will include that Bass Module and may not be reflective of Soundbar 500 as a stand-alone.
The Good:
+Music sound is very good. Rich, accurate mids and highs and warm bass that is there but not overwhelming.
+Overall quality is good.
+Aesthetically pleasing.
+The technology is there with Bluetooth, WiFi streaming, Alexa (this is my first experience with Alexa so still learning that platform).
+The microphones are very good, even at loud volume at listening for Alexa commands.
+Tech support was quite good (see later in review, but the fact that I had to contact tech support was a bummer).
Th "Mmehh"
=TV and movie listening, the sounds are good but not quite as rich and full as I am used to. Was hoping for a little more from Bose legacy reputation.
=TV and movie sound is not quite as "real" as I would expect. Don't get me wrong, its not bad per se, but it's not quite "there". I know, saying "real" and "there" are subjective and beyond reasonable measure, but I hope you can understand my intent.
=The remote is simple, elegant and functional but the light grey offset in button identifiers is not necessarily conducive with watching movie in a dark room and easily being able to identify what buttons are where.
=The exercise to calibrate the ADAPtiQ felt a little gimmicky.
=Alexa replies are LOUD. They are out of sync with the fluctuating volume of the speaker. I wish the Alexa reply volumes were either in step with the soundbar volume or were adjustable.
The kinda' bummers:
-Set-up required a call to Bose tech support because the unit was not broadcasting a beacon for the App to see it. (as previously mentioned and worth noting again, the wait, knowledge and professionalism of the tech support was quite good).
-The time-out to shut off power strikes me as pretty short. I paused Live PD for around 20 minutes to write this review and the unit went into sleep mode. Seems kinda' short.
-As mentioned, the sound for music is great, but it does not seem to carry the ground-shaking thunder of other soundbar and bass-modules I have experienced.
In all, its a decent unit, especially if music is your deal, and it's utilitarian and does its job adequately well.
I would recommend it, but with defined caveats.

The Streamlabs water monitor gives you the peace of mind that your home is protected from water damage. It attaches easily to your existing plumbing, with no pipe cutting required, and uses ultrasonic technology to measure and detect changes in the flow of the water in your pipes. It's Wi-Fi enabled, so you can check on your home anytime, anywhere using the smartphone app. And real-time leak alerts will notify you if you need to take action. The Streamlabs water monitor is also part of your complete smart home, integrating with both Nest and Alexa systems.

Interesting Little Gadget

Truth be told, I got this really more out of curiosity than anything, but I gotta' admit, its not only pretty cool but also could prove to be a valuable tool.
Set-up was pretty straight forward and simple. One minor hiccup required to reset to unit and start over again, but that's no biggie.
Installation was simple save the exception of moving 20 Christmas boxes to get to water pipe, but other than that, install took just a couple minutes.
Calibration was pretty straight forward and not too time-consuming, but certainly an important step to get right.
To be honest, I have not dug down too deeply into the capability of the ap, but on the surface, it has tons of options for tracking.
I kind of wish I would have gotten this a couple months ago so I can really take a deep-dive into my lawn irrigation system to see if I may be having some leakage there.
In all, nifty little unit and if you have interest in this, go for it. I think you'll like it.

OK, I have been using the MS Office suite of products for both personal and business use for decades. This is exactly what I expected. Typical Office features that we've used forever.
If you are used to the Office product, this will certainly meet your needs. I f you are new to Office, I would suggest you try this t see if it meets your needs.
