The Good Leads To The (Almost) Bad

SO here's the deal... It does A WHOLE LOT! And it does it well, but here is the not greatest... While it does a whole lot, it is (to my experience) not at all intuitive.
There are countless hours of how to resources out there for getting used to using it correctly but I am used to things being at least a little more intuitive.
In all, I would recommend it to a friend BUT I would caveat it that you will need to set aside the better part of a weekend or two to learn how to fly.

These Are ON FIRE Hot!

Really nice headset choice... I know some people prefer the "true wireless" ear buds, and I like those too and currently own and use some nice buds, but I like the design here better for a couple reasons that I will get to later.
Packaging was tight, attractive and help the phones in perfect place and presentation on opening.
Inside you'll find the headset, silicone ear insert options (S,M,L) USB charging cable, carry case and manuals. Charging (on first glance) took a minute to figure out. The USB insert is on the end of the right side where the controls are. It is designed to be attractive behind the rubber cover. and not exposed.
Controls are quite simple. Some experiences with headsets, especially the smaller they get is that they have a tendency to try too too much with too little and take some practice and memorization. These controls are intuitive and simple to master. I would like the volume up/down controls to be slightly more pronounced but with my big-old man-hands, they may not be the most effective for "delicate" operations. Oh well. Pause, track forward/backward are simple and just make sense. Well done.
Sound quality... Excellent. The bass is pronounced but controlled, the mids are even and perfectly separated and the highs are crisp but not at all shrill. in all, an excellent listening experience.
One area where this unit really stands out is in the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). With a dedicated button on the control arm, you can easily toggle from ANC off, ANC on and Monitor mode. The noise cancellation was fantastic. While a real test for ANC is on an airplane, these did fantastic in the couple of public venues I tried them in. I can hardly wait to test these on an airplane. I am sure I will not be disappointed.
As for design, as mentioned, I almost prefer these to true wireless earbuds. I like the over the ear experience for gym use and for walking/jogging. You don't need to worry about one falling out if you get a little sweaty and if you want to take on or both earpieces off, you can just remove them and not have to hold them. These also have magnets in the earpieces that if you remove them and place the magnets together, it automatically pause your media and when you remove them and place back in your ear, it plays the media.
One small area for improvement, I really would like an app option to adjust the sound. Don't misunderstand me, the out-of-box sound-tuning is fantastic, but as a "tinkerer" I would like to at least have the ability to adjust the sound. A small gripe for an otherwise excellent option.
I had never heard of this brand before, but after this experience, I would most definitely consider Ausounds in the future. I have no qualms calling this a premium consumer grade choice.
I would certainly recommend them to a friend.

Great choice.
This bad-boy charged my wife's S20 5G and my S20 5G+ just as fast as our OEM single chargers did. And it charged our 20,000 mAh Belkin portable charger faster than it's original OEM plug.
Good choice. I would certainly recommend to a friend.

I really like this unit. It will fully charge both my S20 and my wife's S20 in just 10 to 15 minutes. Typical Belkin quality, solid build and as attractive as a portable vehicle charger can be, I suppose.
In all, I would recommend to a friend.

Nice Choice For Home Security
on November 3, 2020

Sadly, I got this system for our cabin in the mountains of Colorado but the recent wildfires have kept me from installing them since the area has been under evacuation orders and then the public access road was washed out. That said, permanent installation will have to wait a few weeks.
This will be the 4th security system I have and it's important to note that pulling the cables will take a combination of time and trial, especially if you are not particularly experienced or handy. But deep breath and some understanding that it will take time and you can do this.
Being unable to permanently install, I set this system up in my garage. Software was great. 1 TB hard drive will hold ample video. Overall video quality is as expected for a home-grade 1080p system. It's good but the 4K cameras (and required head-unit to support 4K) certainly offer better resolution but this is good for the 1080p.
Features are as expected but a couple of the unique features are kind of gimicky. The red and blue lights are... I don't know. I mean I guess they would get ones attention but I don't know if a hardened criminal would be particularly impressed. Also the spotlight is bright for what it is, but don't expect a floodlight experience.
I do like the uniqueness of the tracker camera and it's wifi. I will be putting that outside to watch wildlife when I can finally install after the fires and road access.
In all, a solid choice for a residential system and I would recommend it to a friend.

Value Unit With Decent Sound, Great Controls
on October 25, 2020

This is my third experience with JLab audio and this, like my other 2 experiences did not disappoint.
What you get with JLab is a well priced option that delivers good quality and really better than average sound.
These headphones were simple to pair. Paired to S20 in a couple seconds. What I loved about these, was the simplicity of the controls. Often with headphones, the controls are "too cute by half". They try to do too much with too little. This set, very simple volume up/down, track fwd/bkd, pause and answer. Quite intuitive and the buttons are simple to work by one hand. Everything is sized right, placed right and offers enough feedback to provide positive confirmation.
It has 3 built in "EQ" settings that offer enough difference to notice but I I preferred the default with the classic "V shaped" EQ visual bar. I think most people will leave that setting and never look back. That said, here is why I gave it a 4 star... I would prefer to have more control over EQ, but it's certainly not a deal breaker.
As for sound quality, somewhere slightly above "quite good" and below "excellent". Sound was balanced, even and while bass was clear, it wasn't particularly punchy, but it was even. Mids were crisp and highs were crisp without being overbearing.
These headphones are lightweight and comfortable, decently attractive and nicely finished for price point.
In all, these are a great value and I would recommend them to a friend.

Great little unit...

My 15 year old daughter wanted an espresso maker... For her room. I mean, what 15 year old DOESN'T have an espresso machine in their room, right? Remembering my high school days and how much a solid caffeine kick would have helped me out in the morning, I decided to pick this up when it came available. Glad I did.
It's an attractive unit with a nice footprint (especially for a bedroom). It's simple to operate and has a quality feel. It also includes a frother for cappuccino or latte.
After a quick training session and a couple of practices, she was barrista'ing like a champ! Easy to use, simple controls and quick.
In all, yes, I would recommend it to a friend. That said, I see a mini refrigerator on her whish list next. Oh well, if it helps that GPA, a small investment and well worth it!

Decent Choice

Nice air fryer. I got it for my basement bar. Want some nice, hot, super-NOT-healthy cheese sticks for the hockey game? How about some jalapeno poppers for half-time of college football? Maybe some french fries to go with burgers you are trying to recipe match with the food show your wife is watching? This is a solid choice.
Not that any air-fryer is necessarily hard to operate but this analog option is as easy as it gets. Simple clean-up, small footprint...
For a basic air fryer, I see no reason not to try this one out.
In all, I would recommend it to a friend.

Good Filter, Bad Bluetooth
on October 7, 2020
Posted by: Posted1
from Niwot CO
As a filter, it's perfect. As a Bluetooth device, it's useless.
I installed this filter one month ago on 9/5/2020 and clearly from the state of my old filter it was way past due. Setup was fairly straightforward, just install the app, pull the battery tab on the Bluetooth module, and pair it with your phone. It immediately reported the current status, so everything looked great.
After a week or two, I received a notification on my phone. Something similar to "the filter has not been seen for some time". I was somewhat expecting this, as my furnace is old, covered in steel panels, and likely original to my early 1970's house. Steel, as you might have guessed, is really good at blocking radio signals like those used by Bluetooth. It's entirely likely that newer furnaces use plastic or at least aluminum that would transmit the signal much easier.
Since I had no electronic way of checking the status of the filter, I pulled it today (after one month of light usage). It's clearly working perfectly as a filter, since the input side was dirty and the output side still totally clean. So, as filters go, it 100% does its job.
My advice is buy a normal, non-Bluetooth filter.
In all, I would not recommend. And Filtrete, you need to find a better way to Bluetooth.

What DOESN'T This Thing Do?

Great choice. This thing does almost anything you could ever want. Super multi-function... 1) Whole roast, 2) Air roast, 3) Air fry, 4) Pizza, 5) Bake, 6) Dehydrate, 7) Broil, 8) Toast, 9) Bagel and 10) Reheat.
It arrived very well packaged. It's a relatively large unit, but was from closed box to countertop in less than 4 minutes. Attractive unit, solid stainless steel. It is a large unit. The size might be good for some but maybe not for all depending on counter space.
Tested two frozen pizzas. Both cooked at same time and were great. Much more efficient than the 220v full size oven. The settings allow for choosing between 1 shelf cooking and 2. It did a great job on both pizza's.
Next, my daughter did a batch of cookies. They turned out great as well. And again, much more efficient than turning on the full size oven.
If you have the room, I would recommend this as a great choice and I would recommend to a friend.
