A good album, despite a few bad tracks
on December 11, 2009

This is overall a good album, and is what it was expected to be. Jay-Z has lost some of his steam, but that is no reason to pass this album up. He picked the right songs to be singles. They are the most radio friendly probably. Songs like "On To The Next One", and "Off That" are good non singles. A couple of the songs that I have heard so far are just average, and I think he just wanted to collabarate with certain people. Also. sometimes artists curse just for the sake of it when it is not needed. That is annoying given you could not play it around your family. Overall, it is a new sound for him. If you like him, buy it. If you are not familiar with him, sample it first.
What's great about it: Lyrics
What's not so great: Language

Great action, Bad acting

This was a pretty good movie. It had great action. It is a good recreation of a classic name. It benefits from having a lot of big name actors at one time or another. The characters were all beleivable in their personalities. The main thing wrong with it would be Channing Tatum. The guy delivers no conviction, or emotion with his lines. He just talks. There were also no extras on the DVD i got which sucked. If you can stand that, this is a definite buy for your collection.
What's great about it: Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Action
What's not so great: Channing Tatum

What does the American Dream mean today? For Niko Bellic, fresh off the boat from Europe, it is the hope he can escape his past. For his cousin, Roman, it is the vision that together they can find fortune in Liberty City, gateway to the land of opportunity. As they slip into debt and are dragged into a criminal underworld by a series of shysters, thieves and sociopaths, they discover that the reality is very different from the dream. In a city that worships money and status, life is heaven for those who prosper and a living nightmare for those who don't. Developed by the superstar designers at Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto IV continues the exciting legacy of the Grand Theft Auto franchise.

Same ol same, but fun

I will say first that this is a suitable next-gen version of GTA. That does not mean that is any better. In most cases, that just means it has better graphics. It is still the same old GTA, but I guess we love that. The addition of minigames, and dating add some replayability that former titles lacked. The missions are repetitive, but they tie into the storyline. Some missions are a breeze. Others will leave you scratching your head wondering why the developers put it into the game. I will say that the characters are great especially Brucie. If you loved GTA last gen buy this, as it is most of the same. If you are looking for a new GTA experience do not buy it. Rent it. DO NOT LET CHILDREN PLAY, OR WATCH THIS GAME, PLEASE.
What's great about it: Upgraded graphics, Minigames, Storyline
What's not so great: Repitition, Difficulty on certain missions

A great shooter

This is a really fun game to play. It is not going to redefine the survival horror genre, but it is fun. The partner A.I. is actually quite helpful. I just wish that she would not shoot enemies on the ground when I can knife, or stomp them. That is the only gripe with that. I will admit that the storyline kind of threw me at times, but if you know a bout the history of RE it will make sense. The only two that I have played extensively is RE4, and 5. It has a great deal of replay value. You can play as either character, change costumes and much more once you beat it. There is even more to unlock then. If you have played RE4 and loved it. you will love this game.
What's great about it: Graphics, Co-Op Mechanics
What's not so great: Not really scary as should be

Paramore rocks...

At first listen, I was dissapointed in this album. After a few more listens, I have learned to appreciate it for what it is. It is a new sound for them. Long gone are the RIOT! days. This album is extremely personal to them apparently. It is worth listening to definitely though. Ignorance, Turn It Off, Brick By Boring Brick, and Looking Up are album highlights. The Only Exception is also a great song. It is remniscent of past song My Heart. This is a great album for Paramore fans. It is even better for those who are new to Paramore. They can ease into it without comparing it to the older sound.
What's great about it: Hayley Williams, It is Paramore,
What's not so great: New Sound takes getting used to..., Barely any pics of Hayley What gives?

Not wotrth all the hype...

I was so psyched to play this game that I preordered it. Within a day of playing it, I already regret the decision. If you like to constantly lose, and have no fun this is the game for you. They bragged that all of the teams would play like their real life counterparts. They were correct. They will beat you. Every team regardless of rating plays the same, and will beat you. They claimed that there would be new presentation elements. That is a lie. It looks exactly like NBA 2K9. The controls are clumsy, and respond slowly and will put you in a bad position sometimes. There is not much new to the offline gameplay modes. If you do not have online, this game will get boring very quickly.Buy this game only if you are a fan of the 2K series. If you are looking for a brand new experience, pass on this one.
What's great about it: Graphics, Uh can not think of anything else
What's not so great: Difficulty, Not many options with offline play, The controls

A majorly talented band...

Daughtry has amazed me yet again. I loved the first album. As I listen to this album more, and more I can see that it is possibly even better the first. The band smoothly transitions to a new sound on this album. "No Suprise" is one of those songs that make you buy an album just because of it. It is so cleverly written. Do not worry though. The entire album is worth listening to. "September", "Life After You", Tennessee Line" and "Open Up Your Eyes" could also be #1 hits. The band has put together a great sophomore album, that will satisfy their loyal listeners and gain them new fans.
What's great about it: The lyrics, His voice, the band's overall sound

A grat way to reminisce on the old days of gaming.

This collection is a great buy. I put it in, and instantly jumped right back into games that I remember from my childhood. Also I just turned 23, so some of these games are before my time. It feels good to discover them. Streets of Rage 2 is a great beat em up game. Phantasy Star IV is one of the first RPG's of large scale, even on the Sega Genesis. Sonic 2 was alwys fun, and even had terrific level design. Comix Zone was tons of fun to play with its inavative leve design, and gameplay mechanics. That is only a handful of the games that you will experience with this collection. I gave the challenge rating a 5 because believe it or not, some of these games were quite difficult. This collection also features every entire game, and has a save feature which many of them did not support back then. Simply put, this is a great way for older gamers to remember the games they enjoyed and for younger gamers to discover a forgotten age of gaming. Buy this...
What's great about it: 49 classic games
What's not so great: Nothing

This game is amazing. The graphics are top notch. Facial emotions, and realism are breathtaking. The story is amazing, and draws you in. Plenty of old characters return in fine form, as well as new characters. I do not have a problem with the long movies, because it immerses me more into the experience. I am not done with this game yet, but I can already see that this is one of the greatest gaming acheivements ever. I would definitely reccomend this to a friend. Buy this game, and you will not be disappointed.

This was a great game. It blended platforming, third person shooting, and exploration. The controls are extremely responsive. The story is a bit short, but that is not a huge problem considering the trophies and unlockables that you can earn. The characters are very detailed in their personalities. In most instances in the game, enemies are overwhelming and it gives you a "on the edge of survival" feeling. That is fun. You can not just run in and blast everyone. You will die promptly. You actually have to employ strategy, and all of these elements make this a definite must buy. Have fun with this game...
What's great about it: It is tons of fun. It blends multiple gameplay genres seamlessy.
What's not so great: It was a bit short.

Warranty on the xbox360

I bought the xbox360 elite for 399.99 when it frist came out and also got a warranty with it for 59.99 for two years. My question is if i return xbox360 due to malfuction would i get the same one or can i get the slim xbox snice i bought it for 399.99 at the time.
I believe that it would have to be sent to Microsoft, and they will either fix your system, or send you the same model. They will not send you a Slim model though.

New Xbox

Is the new Xbox 360 with the 250gb hard drive the new "Elite" model? vs the old 120gb model and can you still buy the 120gb Elite brand new?
They are getting rid of the Elite model, and since the Elite is the same price as the 250 slim the slim model is a better buy. To my knowledge the Elite may be discontinued.

Can you use the hard drive from the old 360 with the new slimmer 360?

You can not. Being that the system is redesigned, the hard drive will no longer fit the new model. You will have to buy a transfer kit to transfer your data.

199.99 more...???

hello my question is how much is the total price of a xbox360? and how much are the taxes that I add? to one of 199.99 I would stay in?
I believe with taxes, it will come out to about $221. That is just an estimate, but it will in that range. The tax on $100 is always around $10.

can you trade in a ps2 and get a xbox 360 ?

Being that the PS2 is a much older system, I doubt it. You can trade the system in towards the purchase of a 360, but it will not be much. You could always add games that you no longer want as well to drive down the price.

Does the PS3 play PS1 and PS2 games?

I believe that the older 20GB, and 60GB models play PS2 games. Those have been discontinued for some time now, so unless you can find one second hand it is best to buy a PS2 to play PS2 games. The Slim models do not play PS2 games regardless of the GB's. All models play PS1 games though.

Which console system ?

I have an Xbox 360 console (120GB hard drive/ 512 mb memory unit) that no longer works. I am very interested in the new console with kinect. Are the games and controllers I currently have as well as all of the Rock Band components compatible with this new console? A co-worker offered to sell me his new, still in the box Xbox 360 250GB Limited Edition Halo: Reach Bundle. The price is good, but will I be longing for more in the future? When the console worked, we played Xbox games and Rock Band all the time. Any info or advice to help me decide?
Everything should be compatible. The only thing that will not be is the hard rive as they are a different design now if you buy a Slim model. There is a transfer kit, to transfer your files. I could be wrong but I believe with an older console, you will need to have an adapter to use Kinect with them. I own an Elite, and am not currently interested in Kinect, but a Kinect bundle might be the best solution.
