Be prepared for some differences. This is how they were supposed to be heard and they sound phenomenal. From the original tapes unlike the stereo release in 2009. You can tell the difference.

The Mobile Fidelity release is a significant upgrade over the Capitol issue that is available. I gave the Capitol away and purchased this and have no regrets at all.
This lp is one of the greatest albums ever made, but I'm sure you already knew that. The pressing and package is top tier all the way.
If you already own the cd or a later pressing lp, you will be blown away.
I can't compare to the original 1st issue, but it better be mint to best this release.

This is one of Ryan's best lps. At this price, it's a steal.
Unfortunately it's pressed at United Pressing, which is one of the worst places it could be pressed. All his Lost Highway releases were pressed there. Be prepared to hear some pops and ticks.
But, I still highly recommend it for the music

I've bought many of Ryan's Lps and this is another good one. Unfortunately it's pressed at United in Nashville.
This means there with be some pops and ticks and maybe even some crackle in the first track of each side.
Is it enough to not make the purchase? Not if you can get this on sale like I did.

Great music

Musicaly, this stuff is pretty darn good. A cross between Otis Redding/ BlackCrowes/ Muscle Shoals sound.
The pressing has some noise. Not too bad for a standard issue lp. A good cleaning will help quite a bit.

When Bestbuy offered this on sale, it was a no brainer.
Beautiful flat quite pressing. The music is wonderful.
If a person wasn't aware that it was mono, they would never guess. It's such a nice centralized blooming image. Sounds great.
This is not some cheap pressing from United Pressing. This is the real deal.

This is great late period Dylan.
Was completely happy with the quality of.the pressing until I got to side 3. It appears to be poor fill or something. The first 30 seconds of side 3 were completely unplayable. Visually it looked like a razor blade had scraped the grooves almost completely away.
They accepted my return with no hassle and ordered a replacement.
Great double.lp if you get a good one.

I really didn't expect much considering that the are a couple other audiophile pressings currently available.
At this price , surely it can't be that good.
We'll I was pleasently suprised. This sounds pretty Dang good.
I haven't heard the other pressings but for this price I have no complaints.
Nice quite vinyl.

I never really quite "got" this album until I heard this pressing.
Everyone was raving about the quality of this release. I agree with them.
You've never really heard this album until you've heard this release. At this price it's a no brainer.

I never really formed much of an opinion about the music on the original Vapor Trails because it was practically unlistenable.
I'd heard two of the remixed songs on an earlier compilation and thought it sounded much better.
When I received the remixed vinyl, I started with side 4. When the thunderous drums erupted from my speakers, I immediately knew this was a huge improvement.
The vinyl sounds quiet and is perfectly flat.
I can't vouch for the cd, but the vinyl is better in every way.
