QRP pressed from original tapes

I've got 3 GK originals and this trumps them all.
Pressing quality is top notch.
So glad they used the original tape instead of some remastered digital file. I can't wait for the rest of the Rush collection. It's been a long time coming.

The first thing I noticed with this Mofi release is that the volume was really low. Compared to the original, it needs turned up quite a bit.
After you turn it up, there really are no complaints.
I just wonder if the other current reissue might satisfy just as well.

This is for the Mofi release.
I've had the original for many years. Having played it a million times, I really needed an upgrade of this amazing album since I had gotten it second hand. It was quite noisy and had seen it's better days.
You will pay a premium for the Mofi, but it's worth every penny. Dead silent vinyl and The Band has never sounded better.
I've heard the Capitol reissue and this smokes it.

I wasn't familiar with the sound of the original release but this sounds pretty bad. It's like the high frequencies have been chopped off.

I've bought two other recent releases of Clapton in the last few years and was disappointed in the sound quality. Those were both released under the back to black series.
This one is much better than those others. If you like this album, I'd recommend it. It's a classic.

Now one of my best sounding live albums.
I've converted many people to be Little Feat fans with this one
But......why does bestbuy charge so much for audiophile pressings? This can be found many other places for considerably less money.

I found it hard to justify $50 for an album. I asked for this one for christmas just out of curiosity.
If this review is for the 45rpm analogue productions version, Well, it's jaw dropping.
I've since bought several and compared them with other pressings and I hate to say it but, yes they are worth the price of admission.
If you only try one, this is a great one.

I've listened to vinyl as my primary source of music for 35 years. I've got around 2000 lps that I listen to all the time.
I have to say, this is probably the most significant release in my lifetime. I said that before the box arrived and now that I've heard it, I'm sure of it.
What could possibly top this?
Why Bestbuy is charging $399 for this kinda baffles me. It can be had much cheaper.
