I firmly believe that 'Unforgiven' won the Best Picture Oscar only because there simply weren't many good movies that came out in 1991. It's not a bad movie in any sense, just not what you would expect from a 'Best Picture' winner. Widescreen with ample bonus material.
I wasn't at all impressed with 'Oceans 11,' because the film doesn't attempt to make the plot, or the heist for that matter, even remotely believable. There's absolutely no way this type of stunt would be succesful. Just plain 'campy.
I was really enjoying this Jim Carrey comedy, up until the scene where his police officer character's alter-ego decides to help himself to some breast milk from a lady feeding her baby in the park. This movie's comedic elements are pretty distasteful and lack class.
this full-screen dvd version alters the original theatrical aspect ratio of the movie from 1.85:1 to 1.33:1, giving a different picture than was seen in the theater.
Revenge, Tony Scott's 1990 tale of adultery and backstabbing comes to DVD with this no frills release. For a film with such a little following, an abundance of extras would probably seem wasted, so it's no surprise that the best the disc has to offer in the way of extras is a theatrical trailer. Still, with interactive menus and both widescreen 2.35:1 and standard 1.33:1 transfers, fans should find it to be an adequate DVD. On the audio end, the disc features Dolby Digital Surround tracks in English, French, and Spanish. Subtitles in all three languages are also included.

this full-screen dvd version alters the original theatrical aspect ratio of the movie from 2.35:1 to 1.33:1, giving a picture in which you lose almost 50% of the image in every frame.

There was absolutely nothing about this film starring Kevin Costner that interested me. Absolutely nothing. For the few who enjoyed the theatrical cut, this recently released director's version may be of interest.
'Gladiator' would rank as one of the most disappointing movies I've ever seen, not because it was an awful picture, but because I just expected so much more. Directed by Ridley Scott, the film is much too inconsistent, runs longer than it needs to, and disappoints in the battle sequences. However, fans will probably like this loaded extended edition featuring extra footage not seen in the theatrical version.
'Office Space' started out beautifully and kept the pace perfectly, until about half way through when it turns into an almost completely different picture. Still, I'd recommend this dvd to fans.
Billy Crystal and Debra Winger star as a couple seeking to stretch a short-tern romance into long-term bliss in this touching romantic comedy, arriving on DVD from Turner Home Video. Viewable in either the original 1.85:1 widescreen theatrical aspect ratio (enhanced for 16 x 9 TVs) or standard 1.33:1 full-screen pan-and-scan, this release also features a closed-captioned English Dolby Digital soundtrack in addition to an alternate French Dolby Digital Surround track and optional English and French subtitles. A theatrical trailer is the sole extra feature.

'Forget' This Movie

I was not happy by the end of this picture, it was billed as a romantic comedy and I feel they completely left out the 'comedy.' Boring, boring, boring! But for those who enjoyed it, the dvd is widescreen.
