this album is a sign that sippin on sizzurp is not a good look. it hasn't got anything to do with his lyrical ability on why this album isn't up to par. it has almost everything to do with the fact that my dude is constantly in another world. don't get it twisted, wayne is extremely talented, too bad its going to waste.

Jonathan Demme's adaptation of Toni Morrison's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. A closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, while a French soundtrack is recorded in Dolby Digital Stereo. There are no subtitles accessible on this release. Supplemental features include a "making of" featurette and a trailer. Although this film failed to connect with a mass audience, this disc will please those who discovered its merits. Fans of Oprah Winfrey and Jonathan Demme will find this disc most interesting.

bless oprah for trying to bring this to life but this was one of the most disturbing movies and didn't come to closure. the book was brilliant.

This DVD captures a performance from actor and standup comic Jamie Foxx. The disc contains a standard full-frame transfer that preserves the original broadcast aspect ratio when the show appeared initially on HBO. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo. There are neither subtitles nor closed captions on this release. Supplemental materials include additional material not performed during the show. This is a superb disc for fans of Foxx and for standup comedy enthusiasts.

The Hughes brothers nightmarish urban tale of one teen's desperate attempt to escape the brutal projects of Watts, CA, arrives on DVD in this New Line Home Video release. Viewable in either the original 1.85:1 widescreen theatrical aspect ratio or standard 1.33:1 full-screen pan-and-scan, and featuring an English Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack in addition to an alternate French Dolby Digital Stereo track, this release also features optional English, Spanish, and French subtitles. Extra features include star highlights, cast and crew bios, theatrical trailers, and a Hughes brothers interview.

this movie protrayed, fairly accurately how life was in the 90's in the hood. it brings a reality to what most people have never experienced.
