Convenient

This remote is a fantastic alternative for the PS3 controller. This remote is so simple to use. The buttons are huge and memorizing the locations are simple so that it can be used in the dark. Its not a complex remote either, meaning it's not packed full of extra "features" that some newer remotes have. It has the keypad for selecting tracks when playing CD's, and the basic video commands which are pretty hard to miss as they're about a half an inch big! It seems bulky though, but then again, this just makes it harder to lose-another plus!
What's great about it: Huge Buttons - Simple Design
What's not so great: Seems Bulky

Home Run

For a guy who really doesn't enjoy baseball that much, I found this game hard to put down. The graphics are gorgeous, the stadiums, characters, equipment... it all looks clean and sharp. Players look a tad too smooth. The actual play is nice. Guess the pitch, guess the zone, hit it out of the park. It keeps the same basic structure as previous MLB The Show games but it adds a little more in-depth player analysis when trading and viewing stats. This game also allows you to create a custom music playlist for when you're browsing around the main menus of the game, but it doesn't carry over to the stadium speakers. I'd rather hear my music over the PA than the announcers. They can get a tad annoying when they say the same thing three times in a row. Online is fun.
What's great about it: Excellent Gameplay - Graphics - Personalized Playlists
What's not so great: Create-a-character is minimal, not enough custom detail options

Fancy Fightin'

Although not 100% historically accurate, this film does a decent job of describing the battle at Thermopylae. Persians VS Spartans with aid from Greeks. This film is ok. It is fun to watch in the fighting scenes because of all the Choreographed fighting. The characters were so hard to take seriously though. The so called "immortals" had thin armor and whicker shields when it happened, not they're like ninja freaks out of a samurai movie. The oracles were just plain disturbing. I enjoyed it mostly. It was a good looking film, but its simply not one I would recommend buying. It just seems hard to see myself watching this more than once or twice.
What's great about it: Comic-like Appearance
What's not so great: Character Design

Cartoon hits the theatre, and does it well!

My favorite TV series finally makes a movie. After how many seasons went by already, it was no wonder that it would be a great film. It stayed true to the series by keeping their style in tact as well as casting voices of people who made appearances throughout the series. Albert Brooks (Russ Cargill) is probably one of my favorite voice actors, especially when he plays the bad guy (Hank Scorpio - You Only Move Twice Season 8). No animated cartoon movie has ever been this good.
What's great about it: Hilarious - Solid Plot/Characters

Finally, Back Story to Bond
on June 19, 2008

This isn't one of the usual Bond films everyone is used to seeing. There really wasn't any sneaky spy action taking place because this movie was dedicated to revealing Bond's character. It gave his life's background, how he joined MI6, and how his love life played out. We even were hinted that M may be short for ... Mom? This had one of the best opening scenes in film. Whoever the free-runner was at the beginning, he was skilled. The most memorable part of that whole scene was when crazy feet jumps through a vent in a wall and Bond just breaks through the wall itself, making the vent thing just seem fruitless.
What's great about it: Great Acting - Intense Action - Rounded Characters
What's not so great: None

Most detailed rat I've ever seen

This film was great for so many reasons: the acting, the puffiness of the rats, animation, storyline, moral, and the overall fluidity of the plot in motion. This is a PIXAR film, enough said. The only thing that can top this is another PIXAR movie. They raise the bar in graphics.
What's great about it: Fantastic Picture - Fun Story - Good Moral - It had heart
What's not so great: Not enough minor character details

Great Film

Everything in this film was developed. We were introduced to each character at the appropriate time and then they were developed. The whole film intertwines with itself at the end when all the cogs fall into place and rat meets rat. When it's all over, and, attempting not to SPOIL anything here, when everyone has avenged or sought revenge on each other, the movie is left empty, which is exactly the point that it is portraying. The emptiness is there because thats all we're left with when its over: nothing. Brilliant. Its not a happy ending nor should it be. It was perfect. Good choice for Oscars.
What's great about it: Whole Story Is Intertwined
What's not so great: None

Absolutely Astounding

This series takes the viewer to a new world that they wouldn't expect is their own. The amount of time to capture never-before-seen species on film is just impressive. The clarity of everything, the in-depth narrations, and the immersive cinematography puts the viewer right into world he/she is watching. I could not have been more impressed even if I had gone to some to the fantastic sites that they filmed or if I saw the many differenst species up close. For an educational film, this hits the ball out of the park, and out of the atmosphere. Its just so impressive, nobody watching would complain that they're learning something about wildlife.
What's great about it: Unparalleled Cinematography - Brilliant in HD

Good Visual Ride

Movie focuses on Peter starting to lose the world around him. Spiderman is becoming the sole identity of him and he needs a release. When he put the costume down for a bit and lived a regular Peter filled day, that was somewhat funny in the last movie. Now, instead of putting away the suit, he puts on a new one that boosts his physique but lowers his rationale. Instead of losing spidey, he wants more of it, because it feels good apparantly. Eventually, the do-gooder as he is, he fights the suit, which we found out to be Venom as it takes over someone else who, too, enjoys the feeling of elevated power. The whole sandman thing didn't really work for me though, but his character was somewhat pitiful, meaning i felt bad that he just gets stuck in a silo. Ha, oh well. The lovey story is still there like usual as Peter still tries to cling to the real world.
Overall, not a bad film. Very visually pleasing. Lighting and effects set the mood and feel of Peter's condition. But, like others have said before, he should be getting more dark and isolated like the Batman movies have done.
What's great about it: smooth camera work - developed characters
What's not so great: Peter & Harry just drop everything at the end and work together?

Navigation made easy

First time using a nav system. I bought this after I had used the nuvi 260 series so I could have one for both vehicles. As far as I can tell, there really isnt any difference between the two. They are great products. Beats busting out the fold-up maps (as if they ever really did refold) Gives intel on detours, when to turn, and what to do if you missed a turn. Gives info on 'points of interest.' Lets say I check my gas and I'm low, just touch that option, select gas, and it lists all of the stations nearby, select one and you're on your way. I used to get lost alot... now It seems that i have to try to lose myself, especially with it yelling at me that i missed my turn, which makes it even more difficult.
It frustrates a lot of people because they claim that the voice gets on their nerves. Some advice (take it if you want) I suggest naming the garmin, as you look less insane when you're yelling at it when it nags! It can be a pretty fiersome backseat driver sometimes.
What's great about it: easy to use - touch-screen - points of interest
What's not so great: Nags me sometimes
