The Bose Charging Cradle for the Bose Revolve+ Bluetooth Speaker is not a required item to use the speaker, but it is something I would highly recommend. The speaker can be charged without the cradle by plugging the micro USB plug directly into the speaker. This works fine, but it is much more simple to use this cradle. For one, with the cradle you can simply grab & go with the speaker. Nothing to unplug. And when it needs a charge, just plop it right back on the cradle. And second, those small micro USB ports can get damaged from constantly plugging & unplugging the cord. Ever had a cell phone with a port that went bad because of this? I have and its a pain. why risk it when you can use this cradle to prevent such troubles with you expensive Bose speaker?

The new Bose Revolve+ Bluetooth Speaker is simply an amazing go anywhere speaker! With the Bose name it comes as no surprise that the sound is absolutely amazing. And the build quality is superb as well.
The speaker has a somewhat different design from potable bluetooth speakers I have used in the past. It looks almost like a lantern or a tea pot. But its design is part of the beauty. This enables it to have complete 360 degree sound. With its wider at the bottom design they were able to weigh it down at the bottom making it very stable. Don't underestimate this. Other speakers I have used in the past are usually round like a pop can and roll all over the place. The controls are all on the top and easy to understand. In all honesty, you really don't even need to look at the instructions to figure this speaker out. Pairing it with both my iPad & my Android phone was a breeze. You can even use it to answer phone calls when connected to your phone. The speaker is also weather resistant (not to be mistaken with waterproof) and really feels like it will last a very long time.
The charge is said to last 16 hours and I don't doubt it. Charging is done either by a micro USB plug or you can use an optional charging cradle. The charging cradle works very well and is the way to go in my opinion. It allows you to just set the speaker on the charger and grab it and go when needed. Much like the wireless charging pads for many phones if you have ever used one.
Now for the sound. As I said at the beginning it is amazing! As always with Bose you get very clean, deep bass. But at the same time the highs are crisp and clear and do not feel like they are being drowned out at all by the bass. The volume level also goes much higher than portables I have used in the past and the sound stays clear all the way to the top volume. This really is the single best portable speaker I have ever heard.

I have to say that I am very impressed with the Dyson Ball Animal 2! I've always heard that Dyson vacuum cleaners were the best yet I had never tried one until now.
To begin, the unit arrived with only a few easy steps involved in putting it together. No tools were needed. Simply remove it from the box and attach the bottom piece that houses the brush, the handle and a couple of other parts that simply snap into place. Had it up and running within a couple of minutes. It comes with the usual extension hose and brush attachments.
As for use, it is actually a joy to use. As I mentioned before, I had never used a Dyson so the entire swivel ball motion was new to me. In practice, it is not only easy to use but helps make vacuuming much faster. Being able to switch direction with the twist of my wrist works great! As for how well it picks up the dirt and animal hair from our carpet, I can honestly say it works better than any vacuum I've ever used. It really does an amazing job. Also, it glides easily across area rugs. The cord is extra long as well. The brush attachment works very well on our stairs. Just the right size to get the job done and easily get into every nook & cranny.
I am also impressed with the size & weight of the vacuum. Overall size of the vacuum is a little smaller than our old vacuum yet it holds more. Removing the holding talk is as simple as it can get. In the past, we purchased a new vacuum every few years. They just never seem to last. This unit is new so time will tell, but it feels like a quality product that I expect will last for many years. And if replacement parts do become needed they are easily found. I am finding out very quickly why Dyson has the great reputation that they do have!

This was actually a nice little computer for web surfing, paying bills and the like. However, after two weeks the screen went completely out. A trip to the Geek Squad confirmed it looked to be a monitor issue. Returned it and went with another brand that is working fine.

Very comfortable & good sound!

I've used a good number of headphones/earbuds over the years and one of my biggest complaints (particularly with the earbuds) is comfort. I have to say that these JBL-Under Armour headphones are surprisingly comfortable. Usually I start to get a bit of discomfort with this style of headphone within an hour of wearing them. Not so with these. I have worn them for several hours nonstop without an issue. In fact, you almost forget you are wearing them.
The sound quality is very nice. Personally I would like a little bit more bass but that can be boosted by the music player in most devices anyways. Music comes across very clean with nice highs and without the tinny sound that so many bud style headphones have. I've hooked them up to an iPhone, an iPad Pro and a Samsung S7 Edge phone. No issues with connections at all. In fact, the setup is very easy. Connecting to an incoming phone call is easy as well and works without issue.
I was a bit skeptical as to how well a heart rate monitor would work on a set of headphones but it seems to work just fine. You activate the heart rate by tapping the Under Armour logo on the right earbud. So far it has given me a reading every time without an issue. I've compared the readings with the readings from both my phone's built in heart rate monitor and also the one on a smart watch that I have. Numbers have been pretty consistent across the board with only a variance of a number or two.
The headphones come nicely packages with four different sized covers for the buds (sizes 5,6,7 & 8) so you can get just the right fit for your ears. Out of the box they come with the size 7 on them. I found size 7 way to big and ended up putting the smallest size (5) on them for a good fit. Honestly, I'm not sure who would need the largest two sizes but the fact that so many sizes are included is a big plus. A nice carrying case is included as well. Charging is by way of a micro-USB to USB cord that you will need to plug into a computer or a USB wall charger (not included). Battery life is rated for 5 hours and I think that is a bit conservative as I have had them going for longer than that.
If you are in the market for a set of headphones for active outdoor use or for in the gym I highly recommend them. If you are just looking for a good set of headphones but don't need them for outdoor use, working out or for the heart rate monitor then these might be a bit overkill for you. But regardless of how you use them, they work very well!

I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical of the claims made in regards to the Linksys Velop Wi-Fi system. Lets face it, we have all heard the claims of more powerful Wi-Fi regarding the latest and greatest routers before, right? Well let me tell you that this time around it is no joke! Not only is this system amazingly simple to hook up, but it works as advertised!
To begin, the three tower kit is elegantly packaged it a very nice box. Aside from the three devices you won't find much else in the box but that is kind of the point of this system. Simplicity. You get the towers (smaller than I expected them to be), one Ethernet cord and three power units. As for instructions, there are very few and that is just fine. You get a simple guide telling you to download the Linksys App from there website, Google Play Store or iTunes. Trust me, that's all you need.
Set up once you have the app downloaded couldn't be more simple. Easy to understand instructions will guide you thru setting up the main unit (any one of the three will work. They are all identical). It only takes a few minutes but that may take a bit longer depending on your internet connection. As soon as you have the first unit set up it will then ask you if you want to hook up another unit and so on and so on until you are done. If you need more than the initial three, individual units or a two pack can be purchased and added to the system. It really is the easiest router system I have ever set up.
As for the app, it allows for a good amount of control over the Velop. Tech junkies who demand only the greatest of control over their internet settings might find it a bit too simple for them. However, for the vast majority of users you will find all the control you need. Parental settings, guest network settings and so on are all here. And with the app on your phone or tablet, you can control the system even when you are away.
Each unit has two Ethernet ports. The main unit will need one of them to connect to your internet modem. After that, they are all free to be used as you like (if you choose to be wired up at all). I have the main unit right by my Mac Mini so I have that hard wired in. Everything else in the house (a couple of laptops & tablets, phones and a couple of Echo Dots) are all using the Wi-Fi.
Ok, so how well does it work? Simply put, very very well. I had a very good router set up before this (also a Linksys). The big downfall to most routers is that even if it is very powerful you tend to lose some speed with distance. Power with most routers will give you distance but not always speed. Having run a series of speed tests, I am getting every ounce of internet speed that I am paying for in every corner of the house with the Velop. Literally, no drop off in speed even from the most distant of the three towers and that one is two floors down! Before, I had full speeds in the room with the router and although I had full house coverage, the speeds were down to less than half on the extreme fringes of the range. Now you can always hook up range extenders with most routers but that only extends your range, not your speed. With the way the Velop system works not only does it increase your reach, it maintains your speeds as well. Please don't confuse this with it making your Wi-Fi faster. No router can make the speeds coming into your home faster than what you are paying for. But this system keeps the Wi-Fi speeds consistent all thru the home and that is a major advantage over a traditional router with range extenders. Ever tried watching a tv show or movie on your tablet only to walk into another room and suddenly start having buffering issues because the speeds don't hold up? Well the Velop system goes a long ways towards fixing that. The Velop is really in my eyes the perfect router system. It gives you what most of us have been chasing after in a router for a long time. Consistent speed and signal strength. If you were to buy a good traditional router and several range extenders for your home it would cost around the same as the Velop. But the Velop works far better and is insanely easy to set up. It really is the perfect Wi-Fi system!

I have owned a few of these portable battery packs over the ast few years. The fact that this one also has a handy dock for charging the Apple Watch makes it different. As for the unit itself, it is rather compact considering the 6700mAh capacity. It charges up fast (considering the amount of juice you are filling it with). I have used it to charge both a watch and an iPhone 6s at the same time and it did so very quickly. I would say that with a full charge you should be able to charge a phone at least three times and the watch once or twice on that same charge. Also, even though the use with the watch is a big selling point that kind of makes you think it is just for Apple products, it has USB and Micro USB so you can really use it with any brand of device. One of the better battery packs I have used!

Trimmers have been what seems like an annual purchase for me over the years. None of them seem to be very well made or last very long. This new Norelco 7400 I think is very different from the ones I have owned before. Well built, easy to use and charges very fast. Can't stress the charges fast part enough! Most trimmers take half the day to fully charge. This one is fully charged in about an hour. The trimmer comes with far more attachments than anyone will probably ever need and it has a nice carrying case as well. The attachments have finer settings than other trimmers as well. Very detailed settings make getting the perfect trim easy. There is a turbo boost button as well for when you need the extra bit of power. Also, it is a wet/dry trimmer and I have used it in the shower without any issues. All in all there isn't much you can expect from a trimmer other than for it to be well built, charge fast and to be very detailed in its trim. This one checks all of those boxes!

Exceeded Expectations!

The Bose Quietcomfort 35 headphones truly exceeded my expectations! To begin, a little background. I have had (and still have) a number of sets of headphones & earbuds from some of the biggest names in the game. However, this is my first set of Bose headphones (But I have owned several sets of Bose speakers). These are without question the most comfortable headphones I have ever used. With most headphones you tend to get a bit of fatigue after a little while. Not with the QC 35's. Even though they clamp nicely over your head, they stay put without any discomfort and almost feel like you have super light pillows over your ears. The comfort was the very first thing I noticed. Even after wearing them for several hours I had no issues with the comfort. Then we have the noise cancelling aspect of these headphones. I won't pretend to know how this technology works, but boy does it ever work! When I first put them on I had the power off on the headphones. Outside sounds sounded as you would expect, muffled. But then I turned the power on (but still with no music) and you could instantly notice the outside noise was gone. Just dead silence! As soon as the sound starts to come thru the headphones it is safe to say you will not hear anything from the outside. I tested these while going down the road in a very noisy work truck (while I was the passenger of course). The QC 35's eliminated all the truck noise, wind noise and other truck cab sounds. I was highly impressed! Now as for the actual sound quality, well, these are Bose so as you can imagine the sound is exceptional. Beautiful bass with perfect highs & mids. I really can't imaging a set of headphones sounding better. I find myself hearing details in songs that I never heard before. A combination I imagine of the noise cancelling ability joined with Bose's legendary speaker technology. Of course with many of today's devices you have built in equalizers to customize the sound but I really don't think you will need to do that. Included in the very nice packaging are the headphones, a nice case, a travel adapter for airlines, a connecting cord so the headphones can be used as a wired set, and the USB connecting cable for charging the built in battery. This USB cable is my one and only negative. It is to short. A somewhat longer cord should be included but it is not a deal breaker by any means. Battery life is rated at 20 hours and I am sure that is accurate. There is a very nice feature built in so that when you turn them on a voice prompt tells you what the battery level is at. Even after a couple of hours of heavy use I still had 90% battery so the battery should really never be an issue. The headphones can be connected using a cable, Bluetooth or NFC. So far, I have used these with my Mac Mini, Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 tablet and Samsung Note 4 phone. The headphones connected with each device without issue on the first try and have worked flawlessly with all devices. In particular, I have been the most impressed with the sound when hooked up to the Mac Mini. Also, you have built in phone connectivity for taking you calls when you have the headphones connected to a phone. A button in between the +/- volume controls activates this. Not a feature I am likely to use often but in my tests it has worked well. Bose has always been a name associated with quality and the Bose Quietcomfort 35 headphones are no exception. Without a doubt, these are the best (of many) headphones I have ever used!

King Of The Router Hill!

The new Linksys EA9500 is truly an outstanding router. I have owned several high end routers in the past and none come close to the EA9500.
To begin, the set up is very simple. Simply follow the enclosed quick set up guide and you will be up & running in a matter of minutes. Probably the easiest set up of a router I have ever encountered. The unit itself is rather large. certainly bigger than any router I have ever used before. However, in order to perform as well as it does with its eight antennas the large size is needed.
How well does it work? Well, simply put performance is outstanding! Not only do I now get full signal bars in the entire house, but well into the back yard and even into the neighbors territory. And better yet, not only does the signal carry a long way, it stays strong as well. Usually with routers you loose some speed when running speed tests on the fringe areas of the routers signal. Not with this one. I can get the same maxed out speeds either right next to the router or even out in the yard. I have never had that happen. As for the ports on the back, well there is everything you could ever ask for. Eight Gigabit Ethernet ports and USB 2.0 & 3.0 as well. All these ports along with the MIMO technology and you will not have to worry about this becoming outdated anytime soon. In fact, I doubt most could even really put this router to its full potential right now. It really is the top of the router food chain and will be for sometime to come.
My only negative with this unit is with a part of the design. I have had routers in the past that have holes on the bottom that allow you to hang it on the wall like a picture frame. This one does not. Considering the size of this unit, the ability to hang it on the wall to get it out of the way would have been nice. maybe that would have affected the performance, I don't know. But still, if you are looking at this unit then you need to keep its size in mind. I don't really see its large size as a negative. I am sure the size is required to cram all of the technology into it. But it is something to consider.
All in all I can say I am overjoyed with the performance of the EA9500. Its safe to say this will be the only router I will need for a very long time!

Follow up to my original review.

Still loving the Velop system after a couple of weeks of use. Solid performance. I did run into one issue that really isn't the Velop's problem but felt it might be helpful to share.
I use a Wemo switch to control a table lamp by way of the Echo Dot ( "Alexa, lights on/off"). It worked great before I hooked up the Velop but it took me some time to figure out why it wouldn't work with the Velop. The Wemo requires a 2.4ghz channel. The Velop uses 2.4ghz and 5ghz but they are not controllable. Therefore, the Wemo would not recognize the Velop's signal. My work around was actually simple and gave me a use for my old router. I simple plugged the old router into one of the Velop's ethernet ports and had the old router send out the dedicated 2.4ghz channel. Now I simple have the Wemo & Echo Dot hooked to that signal. Works like a charm. I would imaging this could be an issue for any other (mostly older) devices that only work on the 2.4ghz channel as well.
As I said before, this really isn't an issue of the Velop. It is really more an issue of the Wemo not being up to date with the current 5ghz channel. However, it is still something to keep in mind.
