Just when you thought that was it!

I could have sworn i wrote a review for this when it came out back in October. Anyhow, this 30th Anniversary edition box set of the classic Halloween truly tops the 25th anniversay edition. This set icludes Halloween, Halloween the Extended cut (with footage that could only bee seen on the TV version until now), Halloween 4, Halloween 5, The documentary "Halloween: 25 Years of Terror" and last but not least a copy of Halloween on Blu-Ray.
This is the first time that more than two Halloween films came together in a set (in the US at least). It is something a true fan of the movies would want to own, if you do not already have the movies. The box alone is amazingly detailed from the 3D Michael Myers mask on the cover to the various pictures from the movies scattered on it. The product picture for this product does not do it justice at all. So if you love Halloween and want the newest edition including the other version and films as well this is just the thing for you. And who knows, for the 35th or 40th anniversary they might finally put all the Halloween films in one box set and have it available in the US.
What's great about it: Everything that it comes with and all the special features
What's not so great: not all the movies are included

Zombie Prom!
on February 5, 2009
Posted by: iknowmyhorror
Dance of the Dead is one of the few zombie movies not made by George Romero and is not in the Return of the Living Dead series that is actually good. It has everything zombie movies should have, chemicals that wake the dead, heavy metal music, tons of fire power, and of course zombies doing stupid things. The way the teenagers in this movie act is very realistic and funny so anyone who is up for a good laugh and scare get this movie.
What's great about it: very funny and basically everything
What's not so great: not enough advertising

My Bloody Valentine will send chills down your spine and this new release is full of special features including recently discovered deleted scenes. It may not have the appeal of the 2009 remake but its a great movie to watch if you like the classics.
What's great about it: Semi-original plot
What's not so great: not alot of people know of it

Different is good

This show is excelent and is amazingly told like a story book or fairy tale. The cinematography is amazing as well as the acting. This is the first show of its kind that pulls you in and makes you never want to let go. Its a refreshing change from most of the shows on television which tend to be too serious or not serious enough, the creator of Pushing Daisies knows exactly what they were doing when they made it. Pushing Daisies is a modern-day fairy tale (with a hint of '50s) being narrated to the veiwers.

In Season 2 of the superhero saga, the nascent heroes learn more about their similarly superpowered families and ancestors. Indestructible cheerleader Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere) and her family are forced to go into hiding in California in order to escape the clutches of the Company, an organization that tracks and captures superheroes. While her father, Noah (Jack Coleman), a former employee of the Company, insists she not do anything to attract attention, Claire finds herself attracted to a fellow student (Nicholas D'Agosto) with a superpowered secret of his own. After barely managing to avert a nuclear explosion in Season 1's finale, Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) is presumed dead by his grieving family, only to awaken in Ireland with no idea who he is or how he got there. Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) accidentally time travels to 17th-century feudal Japan, where he encounters his childhood hero, the legendary swordsman Takezo Kensei. But Hiro's joy is short-lived: He discovers that not only is Kensei a white foreigner (David Anders) living in Japan, but he's also a drunken coward who needs Hiro's help in order to achieve his destiny. Hiro eventually returns to the present and learns his father (George Takei) has been killed, the first in a series of murders of superheroes who had been active a generation ago. As the murders continue, it becomes clear that this killing spree is an act of revenge connected to a deadly virus that could spell disaster for humanity. In addition to this threat, the heroes must also deal with the return of superpowered serial killer Sylar (Zachary Quinto) and the arrival of a new villain (Kristen Bell), a mentally unstable agent of the Company with the ability to control lightning and electricity.

Amazing Second Season
on September 17, 2008
Posted by: iknowmyhorror
Though it might only have half the episodes of the average TV Series' Season (like many of the shows during the 2007-2008 tv line-up) it is still amazing. I missed some episodes when it was on tv then the next thing i know, it's season finale is in a week! So i bought this the day it came out. It explores new depths in the lives of the "heroes" and introduces some newbies aswell and yes the world is in danger, again and the cast must band together to save it once again. There is also tons of bonus features and a sneak peak of season 3. And season 3 will be entitled Volume 3: Villains, so expectations for the long-awaited season premier are high.
What's great about it: nothing else like it on television
What's not so great: nothing...

20th Birthday!
on September 17, 2008
Posted by: iknowmyhorror
Child's Play is a classic horror film with a little bit of dark comedy as well. This year is it's 20th Anniversary and even after that amount of time, it still does not get old. Everyone knows of Chucky, the killer doll and his many sequels and possibly a remake in the near future. However, As of right now, it's his birthday and not many killer dolls can say that, so sit back and enjoy this new release loaded with tons of new bonus features.

"Creepy Horror"
on September 17, 2008
Posted by: iknowmyhorror
This is a perfect example of good old creepy horror film. Made 4 years before "Halloween", one cant help but think maybe this might be the missing link between "Psycho" and "Halloween". It has all the things needed to be a slasher flick, mysterious killer, big old house, pretty girls, and of course plenty of sharp objects. It's a great movie to have if your a true horror fan and the fact that it's Christmas almost seems like a coincidence, atleast in this movie. And is also jam-packed with lots of special features with plenty of interviews and recently uncovered scenes. I bought this movie around the time it came out and am still enjoying it.
Also this might come as a surprise but the director of this film, Bob Clark, was also the writter and director of "A Christmas Story".

UNRATED is the same!
on August 22, 2008
Posted by: iknowmyhorror
I really enjoyed this movie that's why i gave it 5 stars but the unrated version is exactly the same as the rated version. The only difference i could notice was 1 split second shot in two different murders and then added amounts of blood on a neck wound. Other than that its the same movie so dont feel like your missing out on something by not seeing it. There really is not any added gore or other things either. It really doesnt make a difference if you buy this version or the rated one so i geuss it just comes down to which color you like better for the cover red or blue?

when does season two of Sons of Anarchy come out? also final season of The Tudors and Sparticus blood and sand

I'm pretty sure that Season 2 of Sons of Anarchy comes out sometime in August 2010.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand Season 1 is on its way, no release date has been set. I'm gonna say it will be in stores probably by late summer/early fall 2010.

The Tudors Season 4 (a.k.a. the final season) has not even finished airing yet, but i'm sure it will arrive in stores by Fall 2010.
