The lights shine brighter than ever as season three of Friday Night Lights comes home with some extras that really score, including deleted scenes (including 13 minutes of a lost storyline from the season finale) and audio commentary.

The Lights Are Back!

This season of Friday Night Lights is the best one yet. It, like many others have said, restored what season 2 took away from the show. Watching this show on tv and then shortly after, watching it on dvd i fell in love with it all over again. This season made me realize why i love this show so much and stand up for it. It is truly one of the best and most realistic dramas out there and for anyone who does not think so, gossip girl is waitng for you, becasue that's very realisitc.
There could have been more special features, but hopefully they will think of that for the next box set because they were renewed for seasons 4 and 5!
What's great about it: Pretty much everything
What's not so great: its too short!
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's in 3D and 2D for the DVD

My Bloody Valentine is a remake of a very much underrated horror movie made in 1981. This version changes the story around but makes it, its own movie and is really good. The 3D looks best in theaters which is probably why they put the regular one on the DVD aswell. But this is one of the first movies on DVD to be not only in 3D but look almost as good as it did in theaters (Friday the 13th Part 3). This is one of the best remakes in years and is worth the money.
Parents Are Strongly CAUTIONED: This movie is not fit for children under the age of 16 or 17 (but that's just my opinion )
What's great about it: Everything Possible
What's not so great: nothing at all
I would recommend this to a friend!

HORRIBLE!!

From the same company that brought you I Know Who Killed Me, April Fool's Day is a remake of a pretty decent horror movie from the '80s. It has some things from the original but completely takes the "i know what you did last summer" approach. In fact this movie is so much like that, it basically is I Know What You Did Last Summer but with rich stuck-up socialites. Do not buy this before seeing it, but if you are interrested see the original first. And make sure you rent it, not download it illegaly. Im sure the studio is waiting for the money it never made from this movie. I know I might sound cruel but this was so bad, its like they didnt even try to make it better if not as good as the original. There is no chemistry with the actors and the plot is so slow and dragged out that by the end you really could care less. And if you, for some reason want to buy it, wait til you see it for $4 or less, im sure the wait wont be long.
What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: basically the entire movie

Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake

This DVD of Friday the 13th Uncut Deluxe Edition is the latest re-release of the movie. It is the "uncut" version, but i wouldn't say too much was different. However, this is a classic slasher filck that has remained a hit since it came out almost 30 years ago. In many ways you will see it is similar to Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) including the music score. The only difference is much more blood, a faster pace, and it's on a summer camp, but the fact that it re-invented horror once again like Psycho was amazing.
Though Jason does not show up until the sequel (as said by Ghostface in Scream-1996) this is still an eerie horror movie.
Make sure you get this new release and see it before you see the 2009 remake!
Also, check out these others to complete you collection...
Friday the 13th Part 2
Friday the 13th Part 3 3D (for the first time since theaters)
His Name Was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th
Parents are Strongly CAUTIONED, this movie contains material not appropriate for children under 14-15 (in my opinion)
What's great about it: It is the first and best movie out of the franchise
What's not so great: gets a little corny at some points but not too much
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Last House You Would Want to Visit
on March 30, 2009

The Last House on the Left shocked audiences when it first came out in 1972 and continues to do just that. It tells the story of two teenage girls kidnaped by a group of deranged individuals and murdered. The killers take shelter at one of the girls' homes, unknowingly. The parents soon find out and thus begins act 2 of this shockingly brutal and unforgiving terror classic. It is not quite horror but not quite suspense-thriller either but more of a blend of genres. The moral to this story is very obvious, "Do onto others as you would have done to you.
It is loaded with special features including all new interviews. It is the Unrated Special Edition and was released prior to the theatrical release of the 2009 remake.
Parents are strongly CAUTIONED, this contains material not appropriate for childern under 16-17 years of age (in my opinion)."
What's great about it: Never gets old and everything else
What's not so great: continuity/plot-holes
I would recommend this to a friend!

Jason gets his Mask in 3D
on March 30, 2009

This Deluxe Edition of Friday the 13th Part 3 is the second sequel in the Friday the 13th series and is in 3D for the first time since theaters. It comes in 2D as well but i recomend you watch it in 3D to get the full experience. It is the only Friday the 13th movie to be in 3D to this day. However the most important and crucial thing with this movie is when Jason finally gets his Hockey Mask.
It starts off with these young 20-or something kids going to a cabin in the Crystal Lake area, but what they don't know is Jason's waiting for them. The only continuity problem is that it is suppose to take place just a day after the events in Part 2 (Saturday the 14th??).
This is a great buy and is loaded with tons of special features and comes with 2 pairs of 3D glasses. It is also a historical part of the Friday the 13th series.
Complete your collection with...
Friday the 13th Uncut Deluxe Edition
Friday the 13th Part 2 Deluxe Edition
His Name was Jaosn: 30 Years of Friday the 13th
Parents are strongly CAUTIONED, this contains material not appropriate for childern under 16 years of age (in my opinion).
What's great about it: Jason finally gets his trademark hockey mask
What's not so great: "Saturday the 14th?"

it's Jason!

This direct sequel to the classic slasher Friday the 13th is in many ways one of the better sequels. It has all the same ingrediants from the first but now Jason steps in as the killer and he shows no mercy at all, not even towards a cripple in a wheelchair.
It starts off several months after the events in the first film, but shortly after it fast-forwards five years (so now it's 1985, not '81?) And Jason apparently never died all those years ago (as seen in flash-backs in the original film), but lived in the forrest surrounding Crystal Lake. Another thing is that the camp he terrorizes is not Camp Crystal Lake but is on the same lake and is even shown briefly.
This Deluxe Edition was released in honor of the 2009 remake. It is full of special features and the price is also very good. To make your Friday the 13th collection complete you should also check out...
Friday the 13th Uncut Deluxe Editon, Friday the 13th part 3 3D Deluxe Edition, and His Name was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th.
Parents A strongly CAUTIONED, this contains material no appropriate for childern under 15 years of age (in my opinion).
What's great about it: Jason's first movie!
What's not so great: He kills a cripple!

"You want a Christmas cookie?"
on March 30, 2009

I remember when i saw the tailer for this and it was awesome. Then when i went to see it in theaters i noticed many of the scenes from the trailer were not in the movie at all. I have no idea why, except they were probably all cut out for some reason.
Besides that Black Christmas is a promising and unforgettable horror movie of the new millenium. It has everything you could want in a Slasher film and in many ways steers clear of the original but that makes it even better. But don't worry if your a fan of the original this one has many homages to it, the biggest one being Andrea Martin playing the house mother (she was one of the sorority girls in the original). I would have to say this movie is similar in style and plot to Scream, Halloween(1978), and I know What You Did Last Summer (besides being like the original of course)
So go out and get this awesome DVD loaded with tons of special features including the movie.
But paretns be CAUTIONED, this is not suitable for children under atleast 15 years of age.
What's great about it: The Entire Movie and DVD features!
What's not so great: the trailer kinda lied

Teen Horror?
on March 28, 2009

The Haunting of Molly Hartley has everything you could want in a movie, if only they got the ingrediants right. The movie has amazing coloring, sets, and camera shots. The acting is decent and the cast as well, the story plot it not the best though. It has such great potential but does not use it to its fullest. It seems to have taken the idea of "parents selling their child's soul to the devil" from the CW show Reaper. This movie is much darker however, and i couldnt help but see other movies blended in it as well. Also being a movie mainly targeted towards teens it seems to have focused on just that and that only. leaving the actual plot in the dust.
This is not something you should just go out and buy. It's more like one of those movies that you rent if you have time to spare. It is over all an alright movie but dont have high expectations when watching it.
What's great about it: Its new and edgy
What's not so great: it has several plot holes and has an uneasy ending

Here's Chucky!
on March 28, 2009

This is a great buy for any of those Chucky fans out there. It has the four sequels to the most imaginative and creative horror movies of the '80s, Child's Play. Though the second is very similar to the first and the thrid lacks the concept of reality they are still good Chucky movies. The Bride of Chucky was the best sequel in my eyes, it had the same plot of the soul trapped within a doll and wants a real body again but put a twist on it by adding Chucky's former girlfreind Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly). It is also very comical as well as Seed of Chucky. So if your a die-hard Chucky fan or just like those twisted horror movies with a hint of cheesy this set is for you. Also make sure you complete your Chucky/Child's Play collection by getting Child's Play, Chucky's 20th Birthday Edition.
I strongly caution parents to not allow their young children (under 13 years) to watch these movies but if they must the second and third sequels are not too bad. The Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky, however, have a lot of adult content and I mean A LOT.
What's great about it: All the sequels together!
What's not so great: barely any special features

when does season two of Sons of Anarchy come out? also final season of The Tudors and Sparticus blood and sand

I'm pretty sure that Season 2 of Sons of Anarchy comes out sometime in August 2010.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand Season 1 is on its way, no release date has been set. I'm gonna say it will be in stores probably by late summer/early fall 2010.

The Tudors Season 4 (a.k.a. the final season) has not even finished airing yet, but i'm sure it will arrive in stores by Fall 2010.
