Ghost scared up box-office business in its 1990 theatrical release, and just like the movie, Paramount's Ghost widescreen collection DVD doesn't do a vanishing act either. The disc contains several special features that enhance the enjoyment of this tragic/comic supernatural love story. The film catapulted stars Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, and Whoopi Goldberg to the top of the Hollywood food chain, and won two Academy awards: Best Supporting Actress (Goldberg as psychic Oda Mae Brown) and Best Original Screenplay (Bruce Joel Rubin). The DVD is presented in a widescreen version enhanced for 16 x 9 TVs with Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. The DVD contains "Remembering the Magic," a retrospective documentary about the film featuring many of its principals. There is also a frequently amusing audio commentary by director Jerry Zucker and Rubin that occasionally reveals how some of the film's special effects were performed.

A love story that shows that love doesn't stop even after death. Great preformances from all actors, but Whoopi stands out the most, as con-artists turned spritual psychic that can hear Sam (Patrick Swayze).
What's great about it: Whoopi's performance
What's not so great: No cons

From jump I didn't think this would be funny, but the things that he did was funny and reminded me of a friend of mine. Just funny, words really can't express how crazy this movie really is. You need to see this one for yourself
What's great about it: Surprisely funny
What's not so great: His voice reminded me of Beavis and B#tthead

I liked this movie from jump, and even to the point that I kinda wished there was date doctor to explain why I keep meeting the same crazy type of women..lol. But seriously, this is a good movie about dating and a great date movie
What's great about it: The whole movie
What's not so great: Under estimating Will's talent

David M. Evans family-oriented comedy The Sandlot comes to DVD with pair of transfers. The widescreen anamorphic transfer preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1 and is preferable to the standard full-frame transfer. Closed-captioned English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround, while a French soundtrack has also been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a making-of featurette, television promotional spots, and a theatrical trailer. This is a solid release from 20th Century Fox.

Great kids/adult movie that everyone will enjoy. For the adults, it lets them think about their childhood and for kids, its all-around great movie. This movie is timeless, I mean, you could watch it FOR-E-VER
What's great about it: The whole movie

David Fincher's controversial Fight Club has had a few incarnations on DVD. This release offers a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. A closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, while a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include four different commentary tracks. David Fincher performs one of the tracks solo. He is joined by actors Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter on another track. The screenwriter Jim Uhls can be heard with the author of the original novel, Chuck Palahniuk. Lastly, a technical commentary track consists of many of the people who worked behind the camera. This is a great disc from 20th Century Fox.

I liked this movie for crazy plot, crazy acting, and set design, but sometimes it gets too crazy. The bone crunching fight scene are the best part of the movie and Brad Pitt is a straight fool with his acting
What's great about it: The Fights Scenes
What's not so great: Sometimes too crazy

Welcome to America

If you can watch this movie and see the true America that we live in. The America that has people really thinking that racism doesn't exist, but yet in still do racist things. Powerful performance from this all-star cast, even new comer Ludacris did his thing and held his on against all the other actors...Greatness
What's great about it: True Story of America
What's not so great: The fact that a movie like this had to be made to show what we all knew

So what happens when both David Chappelle and the features-packed DVD format get big? The answer is the Half Baked: Fully Baked Edition DVD, a solid disc whose fine stats end up a bit on the bland side when all is said and done. To its credit, it does feature director Tamra Davis doing an audio commentary, plus ten minutes of deleted scenes and an alternate ending, but from the smoking and non-smoking menus to the downright lame attempts at pot humor in the created-for-the-DVD extras, it all just gets to be a little too much after you spend too much time with it. Yeah, there's five minutes of "the guy on the couch" footage, but for every tasty deleted scene of a zombie dog puking pot, there's "Granny's Guide to Baking," featuring a crazed Granny going through pun-filled pot recipes (lame). There's something to be said about taking the good with the bad, but with junk like the "Different Types of Smokers" flash-like animation stinking things up this bad, it's hard to have a good taste in your mouth after laboriously making your way through the disc. Of course, the disc features a 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer along with a 5.1 Dolby Digital audio track, so it still works well purely on that kind of level. Chappelle fans will no doubt eat this up -- especially given the pushed back release date of the Chappelle's Show: Season Two DVD -- giving this product a good rack life a few months before everyone buys up the next set of the funnyman's hilarious hijinks.

Offical Weed Movie

For weedheads this is the best movie ever, but for non-smokers this is stupid. Me personally, I love this movie from beginng to end and of course helped Dave Chappelle in the long run with a hit variety show. Its one of those Eye Candy movies, a movie that you don't take serious and just watch it for pure entertainment
What's great about it: The crazy things people do when they are high
What's not so great: Not having that weed they smoked

Good, but too long

This is a good movie to see a more deep look at Wyatt Earp, but just too long and plus, and if you saw Tombstone, than this movie will not be as good. If you needed to do a book report on Wyatt, than you need this movie.
What's great about it: Dennis Quaid as Doc
What's not so great: Shouldn't have came the same year as Tombstone

Hollywood's Vista Series DVD of Tombstone is a double-disc set packed with special features for fans of this story about Wyatt Earp and his time in the Arizona mining town, including the legendary gunfight at the O.K. Corral. The film stars Kurt Russell as Earp and Val Kilmer as the tubercular Doc Holliday. The DVDs come packaged in an attractive box that resembles an aged piece of parchment. The first disc contains a 2.35:1 widescreen version of the film enhanced for 16 x 9 televisions with a booming DTS 5.1, Dolby Digital Surround, THX certified soundtrack. It also contains an audio commentary by director George P. Cosmatos. Special features on disc two include a making-of documentary; a "Tombstone Timeline" that places events in chronological perspective; a storyboard sequence; a copy of the original front page of the town newspaper, the Tombstone Epitaph, on the day after the gunfight; several DVD-ROM features; theatrical trailers; TV commercials; and a booklet. There's even a collectible paper map of the gunfight as illustrated in Earp's own hand. Hollywood has hit a bullseye with this DVD set.

The best western ever made, period. This movie made alot of people start watching westerns more, especially those that didn't like them in the first place. Kurt Russell is the star, but Val Kilmer stole the movie with his role as Doc Holiday. This director's cut is better, because they put about four extra scene in the movie (not delete scenes). Dare I say, "Greatness"
What's great about it: The whole movie
What's not so great: No cons
