This DVD of the director's cut of Richard Donner's Lethal Weapon adds seven minutes of never-before-seen footage into the body of the film. The picture comes courtesy of a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1, while a French soundtrack is mixed in Dolby Digital Surround. English, Spanish, and French soundtracks can be accessed. Though the only extra feature is a theatrical trailer, fans of this film will savor the new material. This disc is also available in a box set containing director's cuts of the first three Lethal Weapon films.

The Real Black & White Squad

This movie is just plain great with the non-stop action, great humor, and a perfect plot that makes this movie one of the top action pack movies ever made. Gibson and Glover are brilliant together even with the love-hate relationship they have in the first meeting (even throughout the movie) until they learned that need to have a mutual respect for one another
What's great about it: The combination of young and old is great
What's not so great: Nothing

Kevin Costner is really good as business man by day and killer by night. Costner is great at managing his life, family, and killer instinct that will have guessing if he will get caught
What's great about it: The smooth way Mr. Brooks was
What's not so great: The Ending was kinds soft

Great Fighting Scenes

Unmistakable greatness...Jet Li probably at his fighting best, with different types of fighting scenes that would remind you of the first Mortal Kombat Video Game. Even though this movie had a low budget this movie brings a good emotional love for the main character.
What's great about it: The plot is excellent
What's not so great: Nothing

Hated every minute

You would think with the two actors from The One, Jet Li and Jason Statham, couldn't make a bad movie, but wait here's WAR!! This movie is just horrible, the plot, the acting, and just everything just sucks. This movie was promoted as an action flick but all the action was in the preview.
What's great about it: I could say the fighting, but I could be wrong
What's not so great: Everything

Spike Lee's powerful yet intimate drama about a busload of men traveling to the Million Man March has been given a respectful presentation for its release on DVD. Get on the Bus has been given two transfers for this edition -- a letterboxed version at the widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1 (and enhanced for anamorphic play on 16 x 9 monitors), and a pan-and-scan full-screen version at 1.33:1. The original English-language audio appears in two formats, Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround, while a dubbed French track is mastered in Dolby Digital Stereo. Optional subtitles are included in English, French, and Spanish. Among the bonus materials are a commentary track from Spike Lee and biographies of the leading cast members.

What's great about it: Loving the unity that was shown
What's not so great: Nothing

Malcolm D. Lee's romantic comedy The Best Man comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. Closed-captioned English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS Surround. There are no subtitles on this release. Supplemental materials include production notes, a soundtrack presentation, cast and crew biographies, a theatrical trailer, a showcase of other titles from Universal, and a production featurette. This is a very solid disc with a good smattering of extras.

Great movie about weddings

This movie is great all around, because of the stories leading up to the wedding and things that what happens in the past will to come to the light. I love the contrast of a non-religious person counseling and reading a very religious person.

I liked this movie, but Spike was everywhere with different sub-plots that didn't connected with the main reason of the movie. Don't get me wrong I like Spike but what was he thinking. I would recommend anyone that love his movie to watch and judge for yourself, but if you are not a fan than skip this one and get one of his earlier films.,,Mo'Better Blues is classic
What's great about it: Freaky
What's not so great: It everywhere

Fans of Spike Lee's feverish treatise on racial tension during one hot Brooklyn day can rejoice at the Criterion Collection DVD of Do the Right Thing. Presented in a glorious widescreen transfer and loaded with extras, this is as definitive a version of the film as one could ask for. The picture is presented in its original 1.85:1 aspect ratio and looks perfect. The sultry tones of a hot summer day are so perfectly captured, the screen almost seems to sizzle at points. The sound is Dolby Surround and is excellent as well. There is also a great commentary track by Lee, cinematographer Ernest Dickerson, actress Joie Lee (Spike's sister), and Wynn Thomas, the film's production designer. The commentary is very informative and offers good insights into the movie's production (for example: It was pouring rain during some of the shooting, so Dickerson had to come up with clever ways of filming to make it look like a scorching sunny day). The second disc is loaded to the gills. Lee provides an intro and closing to the disc, offering his thoughts on the film. Sandwiched in between is a behind-the-scenes look at the film, the Q&A from the Cannes Film Festival featuring members of the cast, a music video for Public Enemy's "Fight the Power" -- the film's theme song, and much, much more. For those who already bought the previous DVD edition of Do the Right Thing, it's well worth it to shell out again. The perfect picture and mountain of extras will make viewers feel like they're experiencing this movie for the first time.

Great look at racism, and cop beatens

Greatness, with Spike having different ways to express what its on his mind, so its kinda hard to find out what direction he going..at least in the beginning. Once the movie gets to climax, you realized he wants to discuss about the racism and police brutality. Greatness
What's great about it: Getting all these different races together
What's not so great: People that didn't understand where Spike was coming from

A great musical-frat-comedy-drama-revolutionary

Spike Lee shows that not only could he direct a regular drama, but he's even good at comedy, and musicals. He shows how diverse black people are among themselves. The politically side that is shown could be considered too extreme, but its what we need to see as a people to overcome all the craziness that this worlds has for us
What's great about it: One the first look of black fraternities
What's not so great: Nothing

Rapper and actor Ice Cube's directorial debut, The Players Club comes to DVD with both a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1, and an inferior standard full-frame transfer. Closed-captioned English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround. English subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include the original theatrical trailer, biographies of the cast and crew, and a pair of music videos, "We Be Clubbin" and "My Loved Ones." New Line has done a very good job with this release that will surely please fans of Cube, and may find the film a broader audience than saw it in the theater.

Making some strippers look educated

With his directorial debut, Ice Cube showed that he is a threat behind the scenes as well as in front of the camera. Lisaraye did pretty good as leading actress, with this being her debut also, but Jamie Foxx did his thing. Now Bernie Mac, once again stole the show with his lines and acting.
What's great about it: Bernie Mac steals another great movie
What's not so great: Nothing
