Screen beauty Gwyneth Paltrow takes the title role in this delightfully funny and romantic adaptation of Jane Austen's novel. Presented in the original 1.85:1 widescreen aspect ratio and featuring a closed-captioned English Dolby Digital Surround audio mix, this release offers no subtitles and a bare minimum of supplemental materials. Aside from the standard interactive menus and scene selections, the sole extra feature is a theatrical trailer.

My sister and I read the book, then watched the movie. It is the best movie adaptation I've ever seen! It was funny, and the actors perfectly captured the characters. Of course, they had to leave some things out, but my sister and I loved it!
What's great about it: Funny, great acting and costumes, great adaptation
Unlike many family oriented titles, the DVD Bedknobs and Broomsticks offers supplemental material that is as interesting to adults as it will be to children. The disc offers a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.66:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. There are no subtitles on this release, but the English soundtrack is closed captioned. The copious supplemental materials include animated shorts starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, a making-of featurette featuring Angela Lansbury, a deleted song, photo galleries featuring advertising artwork and merchandising, footage from the recording session for one of the film's songs, and a handful of theatrical trailers. This is an outstanding disc with lots to enjoy for the entire family.

This movie is one of my favorites! It's a great movie for boys AND girls. I recommend it to anyone!!!
What's great about it: great songs, great acting, great story
The DVD extras on the shark thriller Deep Blue Sea contain bountiful "making of" information. "When Sharks Attack!" is a documentary highlighting the blend of real sharks, models, and computer effects that were used in the film. While far from comprehensive, seeing the actors swimming with real sharks is engaging. An explanation of the use of music within the film is also interesting. "The Sharks of the Deep Blue Sea" is a short documentary more specifically aimed towards the technology used for the models of the sharks. There is overlap between the two documentaries. Deleted scenes can be viewed with commentary by director Renny Harlin, who explains why each scene was left out. The film as a whole can also be watched with the commentary of the director and one of the film's stars, Samuel L. Jackson. Jackson's commentary adds interest and amusement but unfortunately is only featured in the first half of the track. A theatrical trailer and production stills are provided. The Deep Blue Sea package also has DVD-ROM features, including screensaver, poster, chat room links, interview clips with cast and production crew, and web links to other shark sites that can all be accessed from the original website.

I love stupid movies where mutant animals take over the planet. This has all the best stuff from those movies, plus a really good plot and action and scare factor that puts it above B Movie status. It is AWESOME. If you like scary movies or shark movies or Samuel L. Jackson, you absolutely must see this movie!
