I had high expectations for this movie, but it was better than anything I ever could have imagined. Literally. It has SO many classic bad-movie must-haves, and it is truly just PACKED with awesomeness. It made me want to cry it was so funny!!! The plot and all the details are SO incredibly, wonderfully stupid. Bring this joy to your heart; buy it. Watch it. Love it. :)
What's great about it: Plot, plausibility, writing, music, action, effects
Bobby Darin is one of the greats and this is an excellent look at his life. It also showed me that Kevin Spacey's Bobby in "Beyond the Sea" was spot-on!!!
I like to randomly buy movies that look blissfully bad, and this is my favorite one ever!!! The plot is fabulous, the cuts between scenes are hysterical....this is one of my all-time favorite movies. The only bad thing was that they have a ridiculously unecessary shot of the heroine topless. Other than that....GREAT pick!
Peter Brown and Ahna Capri star as wildlife photographers, exploring the Amazon jungle. The two shutterbugs run afoul of homicidal hunter William Smith. In Most Dangerous Game fashion, the villain gives Brown and Capri a head start, then begins hunting them down like wild animals. The title is something of a giveaway: it's a safe bet that somebody's body will be picked clean by those omniverous Amazon piranhas. Filmed on location, Piranha Piranha received plenty of TV play after Jaws opened the floodgates of "death from the deep" flicks.

Do not buy this movie! I ordered it thinking it was the OTHER movie called "Piranha", which is a delightful, fake-bloody romp following the adventures of stupid people getting eaten. No!!! There is only ONE, 5-second scene with Piranha. The rest is about motorcycles, the view FROM motorcycles, and a psycho. There is a s**ual assault in this movie, too. SO. BAD. Also the sound was so bad I had to sit right in front of my TV holding perfectly still.
Loaded with original supplements (if not that elusive director's commentary track), the DVD of L.A. Confidential makes its mark as one of the better DVDs in the early development of the format, but leaves something to be desired in the age of the two-disc special edition. Warner DVD made a valiant attempt at a feature-loaded DVD and presented the film in anamorphic 2.35:1 widescreen and Dolby Digital. Present are three documentaries (all which fall under the half-hour mark), trailers, TV spots, and a music-only track for Jerry Goldsmith's score. The first documentary, Off the Record, focuses primarily on the task of translating James Ellroy's novel to the screen, but also includes some rare screen tests. Second is a video version of the original photo pitch that Curtis Hanson gave the producers, conveying through pictures of L.A. in the '50s the movie he wanted to make. Lastly, there is a feature that allows the viewer to take a virtual tour -- narrated by the director -- of the Los Angeles of the film by selecting a location from a map menu. While not an authoritative edition of the film, the L.A. Confidential DVD remains one of the best early special edition discs.

This was a good, suspenseful movie. NOT A GOOD CHOICE for anyone who is sensitive about viewing violence against women; sesual assault is one of the crimes highlighted.
What's great about it: Great acting, great plot twists
What's not so great: violence, gore, and nudity (but, it IS rated R)
On March 31,1957, composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist Oscar Hammerstein produced a live, made-for-television version of Cinderella, the classic rags-to-riches story of a young woman oppressed by her wicked step-family. Aired on CBS in what was widely believed to be the network's answer to NBC's Peter Pan, Cinderella starred Julie Andrews in the title role of Cinderella, John Cypher as the Prince, and Edith Adams as the Fairy Godmother. Though the musical was specifically written to showcase Andrews' famous vocal talents, all performances were well-received. Over 107 million television viewers tuned into this live adaptation of Cinderella, giving it the largest audience of the time. Another television version of the classic fairy tale was made in 1997 and featured actress Whoopi Goldberg, as well as musicians Whitney Houston and Brandy.

This is a good version of Cinderella. Julie Andrews was beautiful. The picture quality was not upgraded; apparently they wanted to recreate what people saw when it was on TV in 1957.
What's great about it: It has Julie Andrews in it!!!
What's not so great: I think it was maybe underrehearsed
I plan to be there the day this movie comes out. This was one of my absolute favorite movies growing up. It's adorable and heartwarming and I can't wait! How can you beat a boy with a dragon for a friend who toasts apples for him with his fire breath??? Buy it. Love it. Thank me later. :)
What's great about it: it will make you happy in your heart!
I am going to buy this season the day it comes out. This is a GREAT show and in the first two seasons they included a TON of commentaries and other bonus features. This is one of my all-time favorite shows, and everyone should watch it! Season 3 was even funnier than the first two. Love it!!!!
What's great about it: Hysterical, and fun commentaries
I absolutely loved this movie. I saw it twice in the theater, which I rarely do. Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway are flawless and hysterical. I watched the show some as a kid and I don't remember much of it, but Steve did a perfect job of making the role an homage without trying to be exactly the same. There are also some of the same actors and producers as the original. Buy this movie!
What's great about it: Funny, with a great plot and great acting
