I live in the suburbs of NYC and my cell signal in my house is spotty at times. With working from home so prevalent now, I am on my cell phone more than I ever have been and need the best connection possible.
Enter the weBoost.
I installed the outdoor antenna on my chimney utilizing a cell tower locating app to be sure I was pointing the antenna in the right direction.
Once the outdoor antenna was installed I ran the coax cable provided from the antenna into my house and connected it to the indoor signal booster.
When first connected it was too close to the outdoor antenna as indicated by the signal lights on the booster. I added more cable and moved it further into the house.
I noticed the difference right away. I was able to conduct a full days business on my cell phone with no dropped calls and no issues. The weBoost works with all carriers and all signals including 5G
You do have to take the time to install the weBoost properly, but once you do the work is well worth it.

Our household has 2 cats and a dog….we also have friends and family with various pets that are in and out of our house. Given all of this animal “Traffic” there is the inevitable “mistake” every now and then.
Enter the Bissell Pet Stain Eraser.
The Bissell Pet Stain Eraser is cordless with the rechargeable Lithium battery and is compact, self contained and feels sturdy.
After the initial 4.5 hour charge with the included wall adapter, I was a man with a mission, waiting for the next mishap.
Sure enough, the next day my 65lb Pudelpointer woke us up at 4AM throwing up.
I sprang into action (yes at 4AM) added solution from one of the 2 included Bissell Pro Oxy Spot & Stain Formula bottles (no mixing required which is an added plus) and once I got up the um..larger portions of the present our dog left us with a paper towel, the rest was a breeze with the Bissell Pet Stain Eraser.
Emptying out the Bissell Pet Stain Eraser is also easy and running clean water through it cleans out any remaining residue.
We have a larger Bissell rug shampooer / cleaner which is suitable for cleaning whole rooms etc, but with the Bissell Pet Stain Eraser we don’t have to lug out the larger shampooer and just take this out for those unexpected incidents.
I would absolutely recommend it!

The Core Innovations - 150” LCD Home Theater Projector is a fun little inexpensive gadget but it falls short.
In the box is the projector with lens cover, power cord, remote and manuals.
Its not the most sturdy feeling projector and feels very light in the hand, but for the price point you shouldn’t expect more.
You can use the Core Innovations projector with many different sources as it has 2 HMDI ports, a USB, Micro SD, VGA and Mini AV inputs.
It does have a built in speaker and you can also port out the sound from the headphone jack to external amplifiers. As for picture size you can go from 32 inches to as big as 150 inches by moving the unit closer or further from your wall or screen.
Performance:
Picture - here’s where you need to have the correct expectations. The Core Innovations Projector doesn’t have the sharpest picture no matter how much you try to adjust it and no matter the source.The center of the pic is the best and as you move towards the edges the picture quality gets worse.
Sound – the on board speakers leave much to be desired in the fidelity department but will do if you don’t have any other source for sound.
I am giving it 2 stars and overall I am torn on whether to recommend this or not, but lean towards a yes only if you understand its limitations and use this for a portable (not so high quality) projector for your backyard gatherings or in a pinch for projecting a presentation at a meeting etc…not a ringing endorsement but it is what it is…

High quality self-contained home theater…

The LS 300 is in a fairly large, well packed box that contains the Quick Setup Guide, Projector, Remote Control, Power Cable and Batteries for the remote.
SET UP— The LS 300 is simple to set up, you need to link with your home Wi-Fi network to access the built in Android TV for watching Hulu, HBO, YouTube and other streaming services. Additionally, Chromecast is built in for streaming from your android devices. If you are in the Apple ecosystem, you can use an Apple TV and just plug in to one of the two HDMI ports, then you can use Apple Airplay and the various other Apple features.
PICTURE QUALITY—The LS 300 can be adjusted from 40 inches to 120 inches based on the distance from the wall and this is truly a “short throw” projector that doesn’t require the projector to be very far from the surface you are projecting on, whether that is a wall or screen.
Resolution is full 1080P HDR at 3600 lumens which is pretty bright for a projector such as this with a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1. The picture looks great even with some daylight and or lights on in the room, although as with any projector, the best image is in a room as dark as you can get it.
SOUND— The LS300 has 2.1 Sound designed by Yamaha with audiophile quality Dolby Audio. In reality while it does sound great for what it is, a standalone sound bar and sub-woofer would sound better but the fact that everything is self-contained make this a fantastic all-around entertainment package.
While the LS300 can certainly be your family room or home theater room projector, this will be my go-to system for outdoor viewing of movies etc on my back deck, its much more convenient and easy to use than the TV setup I had previously for outside.
If you are looking for a great, portable projection system with sound and connectivity to streaming services built in without the need for tons of space, then the LS300 is a perfect solution.

Great All in One for Work from Home

So many of us are working from home most of the time if not every day due to changes brought on by the Pandemic.
What you use in your home office for tools is more and more critical to being able to do your job.
I was looking for a good all in one Printer / Fax / Copier / Scanner and the Canon TR 8620 has all those attributes in one neat package.
One gripe I do have of late is some electronics just feel so light and flimsy the TR 8620 has a bit of heft to it so its not the worst I’ve seen in that regard but the trays etc do feel a bit flimsy and easy to break.
Set up is easy and you are taken step by step through the process including easy access via settings for WiFi setup.
You can print with AirPrint, Wifi printing and even from SD cards (but not USB)
Print quality is great (but a bit slow) in both black and color and the scanner with auto document feeder renders whatever you are scanning accurately and easily. Photos seem to take forever to print at just about a minute on average in my experience (but the photos look great).
I must admit I rarely use fax anymore but wanted to have one in those rare times I will need one, so while I did hook it up I haven’t used it as of yet but assume it will work just fine.
Overall the TR 8620 does all I need it to in one package.

Fantastic Full Featured Security Camera System

In the box you get a dedicated hub and two outdoor cameras. With the Lorex system you also will incur NO FEES which in the day and age of “recurring income” streams is a rarity. The main thing you need to know about this system is while the cameras are noted as “WiFi” you will still need to run power to them wherever you mount them as they are not battery operated and there is no option for that.
I have had other systems that are battery powered and while they work OK, I have come to prefer wired like this Lorex System for a couple of reasons: 1 – don’t have to change the batteries 2 – with a battery system you find yourself not using the cameras as much as you would a hard wired system to conserve battery life.
The hardest part of setup is the mounting and powering of the cameras, I mounted one on my front porch with a view of the porch, stairs and front door. I mounted the second camera with a view of my garage doors. Both were pretty close to outlets so the hardest part was drilling a hole through the house to run the power wire, I didn’t need any excess power cord.
The cameras have a two way mic and speaker, built in siren, color night vision, a spotlight and with the iPad like Hub you can “Touch, Talk and View” as Lorex describes.

The Hub can be connected to the internet via ethernet or Wi-Fi. It is secured with a face ID feature like the latest iPhone’s or a simple passcode to make sure there is no unauthorized access to your system if you so desire. There is also an app to access the cameras on your smartphone. Another cool feature is you can control the system with voice prompts. Wake up the Hub with “Hey Lorex” and you can then turn on access to one of the cameras. A pretty cool feature is one of the commands “Show me all the people who went by the back-door camera yesterday” for you to see all the activity at that camera.
The picture is crystal clear and the two-way communication works great. Your videos are stored locally on a micro SD storage card that you can expand with bigger SD card capacities.
If you are looking for an expandable camera security system with no fees then this system is hard to beat.

Morning convenience...

Ok so the Mr Coffee name brand is synonymous with morning coffee and for folks who grew up with the commercials back in the day, the brand it holds a touch of nostalgia.
I was looking forward to using the Mr Coffee as an alternative to K Cup machines that have taken over the world.
The Mr Coffee 12 cup looks great and has a water filter, timer to be able to have the coffee ready when you wake up, and a really cool freshness timer that will let you know when the coffee you have in the pot is no longer good. It also has a rapid brew feature as well as a Strong Brew selector to facilitate making your coffee with a bolder coffee taste.
The Mr Coffee 12 Cup is easy enough to set up and will operate with the coffee filters you already probably have hanging around the house.
Now to the reason for having the coffee maker...the coffee and how does it taste?
Brewing speed is great, temperature is also great, but I have issues with the strength of the coffee, even on the strongest setting the coffee is a bit weak for my liking and this is after brewing multiple times with multiple different coffees, only the strongest blends give what I would call a decent cup of coffee. I would recommend this if you want the convenience of programmability, speed etc, but if you like a bolder cup of coffee then this might not be the machine for you.

Great Sound, Comfort and Range….

Easy setup, just plug the included USB into your Xbox, turn on the A20 and it automatically links up, then you are good to go.
The A20’s fit nicely on my head and are pretty comfortable especially for a long gaming marathon. A con is they aren’t noise cancelling which I do like in a gaming headphone so there are less intrusions into my game play.
Battery life is great at a stated 15 hours, I have used for multiple sessions without having to charge, but you could also just charge after every use to always keep the batteries ready to go.
There are 3 preset EQ settings to help you pick the best sound profile to suit the game you are playing and with an advertised 50 foot range you can jump and walk around to your hearts content and not lose the signal, I had absolutely no issues with the range.
I love the flip up to mute boom microphone so when real life does intrude the whole gaming community wont hear your wife, kids etc..the mic is also not noise cancelling though which is another con as your fellow gamers can hear things in your house if its noisy.
The A20’s are visually appealing for sure and if the noise cancelling cons are not deal breakers these should be great for your gaming needs.

For a one time fee (the purchase price of the i3+) you will have a clean floor automatically without even thinking.
Set up is a breeze pretty much just plug it in and download the app to get the Roomba i3+ working on your Wifi system.
The Roomba i3+ is a very powerful vacuum, it traps pollen and mold with the AllergenLock Bags and can take care of emptying itself for about 60 days with the Clean Base Auto Dirt Disposal system so you don’t have to do that dirty task as often as you would with non self emptying units.
Once the Roomba i3+ learns your house you don’t need to worry about it getting stuck on furniture, obstacles etc (although it did get stuck a few times…so its not perfect)
The app is a great companion to the Roomba i3+ that helps with scheduling and even tweaks due to seasonality etc. You can even use the app or Alexa to clean up on the fly.
We have two cats and a dog in our household and in just a few days of using the Roomba i3+ we noticed the difference.
Keeping the house clean with the pets and kids isn’t easy and the Roomba i3+ is a great addition to the house to help us stay neat.

Great Gaming and Everyday workhorse

The Dell S2721QS is a great 4K UHD Monitor coupled with AMD FreeSync technology that will give you a great picture whether you are gaming or watching 4K videos.
You have two HDMI Ports and a Display Port 1.2
The screen is a nice matte finish to mitigate any glare and I absolutely love the flexibility of the built in stand to adjust the screen in any myriad of positions including vertical positioning.
If you are concerned with Blue Light exposure Dell employs ComfortView, a feature that reduces harmful blue light emissions to optimize eye comfort.
The built in speakers are ok, but you would prob do better by augmenting with other separate speakers (utilizing the line out port on the S2721QS) so the sound can truly match the great picture.
The warranty from Del is incredible with the Dell Premium Panel Exchange Program that will replace the panel for free (during the warranty period) even if only one pixel is faulty.
