Affordable 4k!

Affordable 4k!
I owned Epson Home Cinema 3500 Projector for over 4 years and was very impressed with it's capabilities, however with all media coming out on 4k these days I felt like I might need to upgrade. True 4K projectors are too expensive for my budget so I was super excited for Epson to came out with a brand new 3200 model in my favorite series of projectors!
Epson 3200 has all the best parts of it's predecessor - bright image, great colors, easy mounting and adjustments and in addition - it brought pixel-shift 4K resolution with HDR support plus true HDMI 2.0 ports with full 18Gbit/s capacity. This projector surpasses older and more expensive 4010 which only came with HDMI 1.4 10Gbit/s ports!
Since I already had a home theater room with screen and all wiring - my projector replacement took just a couple hours (I needed to replace my older HDMI cable with a new 18Gbit/s capable cable). I'm impressed with the new 4K (pixel-shift 4k) image clarity! It's definitely sharper than an old 1080p HD no doubt about that!
Projector took a few minutes to adjust settings (I was using Spears and Munsil calibration disk, 3rd edition with 4K and HDR is available). Lens position is adjustable so projector can "hit" the screen being mounted above or below the screen level, zoom and focus controls are located at the lens bezel. All these are manual controls (more expensive series allow for remote lens adjustments). Keystone correction can be done remotely, plus a nice "quick corner" function of the projector makes it real easy - if one corner of the image is slightly off - you can just pick the corner and move it.
By default projector has 4 quick settings - Bright Cinema, Cinema, Natural and Dynamic that allow you to get setup real fast and of course more granural adjustments of brightness, contrast, tint, white balance and gamma are available. Automatic Iris can be set to high speed or normal and it does help a lot when movie scenes change from a very bright to a dark. Projector lamp brightness can be adjusted as well - there are 3 modes - ECO, Medium and High. High mode is useful when projector is used in a brightly lit room, Medium is ideal for the dark room (and reduces fan noise a lot!).
There are 2 HDMI ports on the back, 3.5mm audio out, one USB port for a wireless dongle (sold separately), one USB port to power accessories.
Projector has on-board Bluetooth to connect to the wireless speakers and an optional WiFi dongle (ELPAP10) which can be purchased separately and allows to use Epson's iProjection app to display pictures and presentations wirelessly, I did not find that function very useful in a home theater environment. It does add an ability to use your phone as a projector's remote though.
Epson 3200 is capable of displaying 3D content, however it requires active 3D glasses (sold separately).
Overall it's a great addition to the 3000 family of Epson Home Cinema Projectors, it has everything to be a central piece of your home theater room video system.
There is a little bit more expensive variant of this projector available - 3800. The difference is that 3800 has RS-232 port to better integrate into home theater control systems (3200's only option is Infrared), 2x10W speakers on-board (I'm not sure why to have speakers on the home theater projector?), 12V trigger out and ability to work with anamorphic lenses. If you need any of those functions - go for a 3800 instead. Both projectors use the same lamp (ELPLP85) and produce the same image.

It's a fast Alien!
on October 4, 2019

This gaming laptop packs a lot of power under the hood - 6 core Intel i7 processor (with 12 hyperthreaded cores), 16 Gb RAM, 512Gb NVMe SSD and newest nVidea GeForce RTX 2070 graphics card this system can support up to 90fps frame rate with the highest rendering settings!
If you or someone in your family is looking for a gaming laptops - take a close look!
Dell packed a lot of "Gaming" features into this machine - RGB lighted keyboard (individual keys or zones could be pre-set to be a certain color), RGB Alien head logo on the lid, RGB "crown" on the back - everything says - this machine is made for Gaming.
Very nice 17" display supports 1920x1080 and is powered by either Intel UHD630 GPU (to save energy) or GeForce RTX 2070 when top performance is desired.
Full sized keyboard layout has a crisp tactile feedback and large enough to map all the game function buttons comfortably. Touchpad is kinda small for my taste but response is fast and precise.
Storage is handled by a single Toshiba NVMe SSD (laptop has 2 NVMe m.2 slots on board).
Laptop has plenty of ports for expansion starting with a proprietary Dell "Graphics Amplifier" that is meant for an external eGPU enclosure (sold separately), 3 USB-A 3.1 ports (one of those has PowerShare support), 1 Gbit/s Ethernet port (2x2 MIMO WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 are there too), 3.5mm headphone jack, 1 USB-C 3.1, HDMI output (2.0b), and a mini-Display Port (1.4). Laptop does have a security cable slot, but not a regular Kennsington one. System comes with a TPM 2.0 chip installed so if you desire to use BitLocker for disk encryption - that is available.
Battery capacity is 76Ah (system comes with 180W charger) and it takes about 90 minutes to charge the battery completely. Play time while on battery would vary depending on the applications you running of course.
Back cover of the laptop can be easily removed with just a Philips screwdriver, however the only thing you would be able to replace is your NVMe cards (battery is easy to remove too if needed). Main system memory is soldered to the logic board (see pictures).
Windows Home 64bit edition is pre-installed from factory and I'm very happy to report that laptop did not come with a ton of "junkware" apps. Just the essentials - Alienware Control Center, Killer Network Utility and Tobii eye tracking software (which is able to track where you looking at, I'm yet to explore this technology).
Overall - it's one of the best gaming machines available! I do play flight simulators a lot and was very impressed with how fast and smooth this system performed. The only downside is that memory is soldered on and there are no slots for memory upgrade.

Superior protection!
on September 3, 2019

I'm very impressed with the level of drop protection this case provides. It has about 1/8" border all around the screen and a rear camera opening which prevents any damage if the phone is dropped onto a flat surface. Case edges are reinforced with sort of C-clips molded into the case making sides very rugged. Case does not prevent wireless battery charges from working and does not seem to affect WiFi nor cell signal quality. I would highly recommend this Speck case to any iPhone X owner who does not like dents and scratches. The only thing this case won't protect from would be a drop on the rocks or scratches caused by the phone being in a pocket with sharp objects (like keys).

Start saving on ink!
on July 1, 2019
Posted by: xKing
from Frisco, TX
This printer is a brilliant solution to the ink cartridge problem! You get your ink in a bottles and just fill up the printer ink containers, no cartridges to replace!
Initial setup was easy - ink bottels are keyed so they won't fit into the wrong fill hole, not all the ink from the bottels went into printer initially, some were left, however after initial "priming" process - I was able to empty in ink bottles into the printer completely. There is no risk of making a mess either, bottles won't open until properly inserted.
Printer does take about 20 minutes to setup initially - it will "prime" with ink for 10 minutes and then print 5 sheets of paper with test patterns and have you pick the best looking one.
Device was recognized by Mac and Windows computers as soon as I got it connected to my network (wired or wireless connections are available), it's also seen by iOS devices as AirPrint and Secure AirPrint compatible.
Print quality did improve after about 2-3 pages, initially I had some white strikes on the print outs, however they disappeared once printer primed itself properly.
Color printing - I was not very impressed here, take a look at the picture attached. Image is supposed to have Sepia effect (compare to the image I printed on my old printer (not Epson)). Epson got that image too bright, loosing details, it lost sepia effect as well.
Printer administration - it's designed more towards a home or small office so it lacks some of the advanced administration feature like e-mail notifications (paper low, ink low, etc), however it does support SNMP monitoring.
Overall conclusion - if you need color prints for office work or home projects and not really concerned with a very accurate color matching - this printer would be a great choice! Ability to refill it with ink is wonderful! However, if you do plan on printing high quality photos - look towards a specialized photo printer.

WOW, it's a new era of gaming!

This is a fantastic device to step into amazing world of virtual reality. Crisp image, wide field of view (I would say it's about 100 degrees), great sound create a sensation of a complete different world around.
You are not bound by any wires, can play absolutely anywhere (just find a room with about 6'x6' of free space), no PC required. Phone is required for the initial setup only, after that Oculus Quest just uses your WiFi to download games.
Initial setup was pretty straightforward, just follow phone app instructions step by step. Headset straps are adjustable allowing you to position it comfortably. Face piece is made of a soft washable material and is replaceable.
There is also a eyeglass adapter (spacer) which will allow anyone with the glasses to play. Distance between the players' eyes (pupillary distance) is adjustable in a wide range allowing anyone to enjoy the headset.
First thing you do is establish a "guardian" which is an imaginary wall around you that appears if you come close. It's a safety measure that prevents you from running into things like furniture, walls, windows, etc.
Guardian would only appear if you come close to that border and if you accidentally step over - VR experience will end and you would be brought back into the real world (kinda black and white image around you).
Guardian also means that you can't play with the VR headset in a dark room, it's on-board cameras need to see around you.
Headset has a very decent stereo speakers built in or you could optionally use a pair of headphones (headphones ports are located on both sides).
Controllers that go in your hands are powered by a single AA battery (each), very lightweight. They also have vibration feedback built into them.
Headset has a built in battery (not replaceable), USB-C charging adapter is included (5V 3A output, 100-240V input) along with a very long cable. In theory you could play while charging but I would not recommend it.
Gaming experience is just amazing, headset comes with a few demo games, such as rollercoaster, trial version of Beat Saber, Boxing game, there is a ton of other games available in the Oculus store.
You can share your experience with people around you by streaming what you see to the phone or nearby TV with a Chromecast (note that not all games can be streamed), so your friends are not bored.
My definite top 5 apps for the headset: Beat Saber, Fruit Ninja, Angry Birds, Epic Roller Coaster, YouTube VR
Overall it's a fantastic device, people of all ages would truly enjoy the experience! I just wish that travel case was included, it's available from Oculus separately though (also available - replacement controllers, replacement face piece, replacement power adapter). There are 2 version available with 64 or 128Gb of internal memory (depending on the number of games you would like to be abel to install at the same time).
(Note: manual says children under 13 years of age should not use the headset).

Works great, but MAX users, beware!
on May 24, 2019

This is a great solution for the single charging spot if you have compatible iPhone and Apple Watch. Keeps your night stand or work desk organized with no extra wires. There is an additional 2.5A USB port on the back of the dock just in case you need to charge some other device. Included power supply is 45W (15V 3A) which is good enough to charge 3 devices at the same time. Input voltage is 100 to 240V. There is also a LED light on the side of the phone charger that glows green if phone is positioned correctly.
Charger is kinda sensitive to the phone position (not a problem with watch obviously) - minor movement to the left or right and it won't charge anymore, so make sure your phone is in the dead center of the pad. This also brings another issue for the MAX series of iPhones - tall enough phone in a case will sit high enough so charger won't engage. Charging pad hight is NOT adjustable. If you have a big phone in the big case - go for a horizontal charging pad instead.

Works great with new iPhones
on May 17, 2019
Posted by: xKing

This charger is nicely built, base has a good feel to it and a rubberized ring on the top prevents phone from sliding around while charging. Maximum charging rate of iOS devices would be limited to 7.5W even though this charger can support 10W.
Charger would work with any QC 3.0 compatible micro USB power adapter, own power supply is rated for 100-240V input and 12V 1.5A output. Cord length is about 57" which allows flexibility in placement.
Charing base has a small LED at the bottom which glows white if phone is detected and charging, it would glow yellow if Phone is not correctly placed. I've found that precise placement is not required as log as the phone's center is approximately in the middle of a charging base.
Charging speed - with 7.5W charger it's 50% faster than included 5W wired charged but of course it's slower than using iPad charger or 29W USB-C adapter with USB-C cable. Charger does not get very hot while charging. iPhone X is able to recognize my face when I'm sitting at my desk and phone is on the charing base.
Overall - it's an excellent choice if your Phone supports Qi charging technology and you don't like plugging it in! Definitely an improvement vs the last year model with a proprietary power adapter.

I think Jabra can do better
on May 1, 2019
Posted by: xKing
from Frisco, TX
I'm mostly familiar with Jabra professional headset products for call centers and I do like them, that is why I was super excited to try the new 85h headphones! I have a mixed feelings though.
Let's start with good stuff:
1) Headphones are very well made, that "fabric" texture outside of the ear cups, super comfortable cushion on the head band, smooth extension. They fit my head just great and don't clamp too much.
2) Long 36 hour battery life with a quick USB-C charging, this is enough for a long trip!
3) Noise cancelling is amazing, it's really powerful. Hear thru mode is available if you want to be aware of your surroundings.
3) Rain resistant, they don't mind to be a little wet.
4) Carry case is included along with airline adapter and cables.
5) Ability to use them as wired headphones, 3.5mm cable is included.
6) Controls are nice and intuitive, headphones would pause automatically if you take them off your head. Power would automatically shut off as soon as you rotate the earcups into the "storage" position.
7) Mobile app is available, it provides the ability to create a "pre-setup" settings like "Relax", "On the go", etc, each setting would have it's custom noise cancelling option and equalizer positions.
8) Ear cushions are easily removable and replaceable
Now what is not so good:
1) Sound quality!!! It's sub par for this level of headphones. Bass is virtually non-existent unless you pick a "Bass boost" in the EQ, Highs are muffled together, there is no clarity. Mid range is ok, but sound feels "compressed" at the frequency edges. I'm not a big fan of artificial EQ so I was doing my testing with "Default" flat EQ. Sound quality does not significantly change even if wired connection is used. I'm hoping Jabra can improve this with the next firmware update.
2) Power control - the only way to power off is to rotate earcups 90 degree into the "storage" position, which is not always practical. It's ideal if you put them in the case all the time, but not so comfortable if worn around the neck when not in use. I would prefer a physical On/Off switch instead.
Overall I'm excited about Jabra entering noise cancelling headphone market, but I'll be waiting for the next model to see if sound quality improves. Or maybe a firmware update?

Clean the whole house on a single charge!
on March 22, 2019
Posted by: xKing
from Frisco, TX
I did not even think how traditional corded vacuum is restricted to the range of it's cord. I previously had to re-plug my upright vaccum about 6 times when cleaning.
This portable Dyson vacuum is a great cord free solution! It does come with a plenty of power, 2 electrically powered brushes (10" wide and 6" wide), 2' extension and 4 passive attachments - 3 brushes of different sizes and one narrow attachment.
Vacuum has 3 power settings - ECO, Auto or Medium and High. Auto mode is changing the power dynamically depending on what surface you use vacuum on saving battery life. I was able to clean my whole 2600 sq ft house with mostly carpeted floors on a single charge.
Total cleaning time was about 30 minutes (Including moving the furniture and I had to empty the dust container once in the middle), total vacuum run time on the battery was around 25 minutes. I still had about 3 minutes left on the battery after I was completely done.
Vacuum has a little display on the back which does show estimated battery run time left, value is a little pessimistic though, real run time was about 5 minutes longer than display predicted.
Recharging the vacuum is easy, included power adapter and wall mounting bracket allow for easy vacuum storage and charging. Full charge takes about 4 hours.
Dust bin is quick to empty by just holding it above the trash can and releasing the latches.
Would I recommend this vacuum for the day to day cleaning? Absolutely! It's so nice to be able to move around freely. It does however has narrower brush (my upright vacuum has 14" powered brush) which means more back and forth movement is needed to cover the same floor space, additionally you do need to hold the whole vacuum weight in your hands while cleaning, opposed to the upright vacuum that just rides on the floor.
Ability to hold 2 more attachments on the vacuum itself means that you don't have to run looking for the furniture brush while cleaning around.
Overall - I highly recommend it, it's a great helper in any cleaning job at home and in your car.

Very durable cord!

This is an excellent charing cord for iOS products, outer shell of the cord is made of the woven fabric with rubber insulation underneath, total wire thickness is around 3/16". Connectors have appropriate strain relief which prevents cable from breaking down at the ends. Cable has a leather storage strap permanently attached to it which makes it easy to put the cable away and not worry about it getting tangled. Overall - it's a very solid cord suitable for 10W charing, excellent while traveling or if you just want to keep using your device while charging as 6' length allows for free movement. I would definitely choose it over Apple's 6' cord.

Great travel companion
By xKing from Frisco, TX
This laptop would be a great travel companion. Screen can be folded all the way to the back making this laptop a big tablet, Windows recognizes it as a "tablet mode" and adjusts the interface so that's easy to use that way. Tablet mode is a great idea if your space is limited such as a car or an airplane. That is if you don't mind wiping your fingerprints off the screen later.
Overall construction is very nice and solid, aluminum top cover and plastic bottom make it easy to hold and it does not get real hot to the touch while working. Bottom is fairly easy to take off (philips screwdriver and plastic prying tools needed) allowing access to the single memory slot and a hard drive (watch for hard drive - it will fall off when bottom cover is off). Laptop has a good selection of ports (including HDMI, 2x USB 3 and a USB-C!) making it easy to connect to the accessories you need. Hardware volume control paddle is located on the right side of the laptop almost next to the power switch - I actually send laptop to sleep couple of times while trying to adjust the speaker volume, so be careful.
Screen resolution is a full 1920x1080 HD but the space under the screen (where the Acer logo is) feels unused - I wish Acer did extend the screen to the bottom a bit more. From the beginning - my laptop had a very noticeable green tint to the screen which I had to correct using the Windows color calibration tool - no issues after that.
Keyboard and the touchpad are functional and easy to use, keyboard is backlit (either on or off, no brightness adjustment).
Battery - I was able to use laptop for 4 full hours watching videos, surfing web and working on the documents before battery fully drained, it took it 3 hours to charge back to 100%. Included 45W power adapter is surprisingly small and easy to pack, supports any voltage from 100 to 240 so overseas travel is not a problem!
Performance - I did not notice any delays while working with the big office documents, 8 Gb RAM (upgradeable to 12Gb) and i5 CPU have more than enough for any office tasks, however I would recommend upgrading to SSD if you require a lot of disk activity.
Overall - great laptop for those who work on the go and need a good selection of ports at the workplace, strong performer!

It's really comes down to your personal preference. HP you've mentioned has a smaller 13.3" screen, but a solid state drive will perform better. Acer has a bigger screen but a slower mechanical hard drive.

Physically - any 2.5" SSD drive will fit. It really depends on your budget and how much storage would you like to have. I personally use Crucial drives.

Finally an Android tabled designed for your car!
By xKing from Frisco, TX
This tablet would be a real good option for those who want just an Android tablet in the car, it mounts hassle free with the included mount. I used the "bean bag" as a base and suction cup attached to the bean bag.
Tablet has a magnetic attachment at the back that takes care of the electrical connections as well so all you need to do is to place the tablet on the mount and that's it! No wires to plug in!
Physically it's a very well made device with rubberized back which makes it secure in hand, screen is bright and I had no problem looking at it with my polarized sunglasses on.
It has micro USB port for charging / data transfer, micro SD card slot, mini HDMI port and a 3.5mm sound output jack.
Mount has a full size USB port, 3.5mm sound output jack that you can connect to your car's AUX input and a power port, that connects to the standard 12V DC or 24V DC cigarrete lighter outlet. Optionally - you can screw in an included FM transmitter antenna to the mount, so it will output sound to your car's FM receiver.
Hardware volume control, power switch and a home button are on top of the tablet, buttons are easy to operate while the car is moving.
Unfortunately this tablet does not have a built in modem so if you would like to connect it to the Internet while on the road - you will need to have some kind of WiFi in your car. This kinda defeats the main product slogan of making any car a connected one, you will still need to provide your own connection. I've used a mobile WiFi hotspot for my test.
Included apps:
Navigation - I liked that one, it comes with the lifetime Map update, directions are clear and easy to follow, speed limit is displayed for major roads and you could optionally setup a notification for when you are over the speed limit for X number of MPH. No school zone alerts though.
Online functions include gas prices (by GasBuddy), traffic and weather - all of these require tablet to have an active internet connection. Weather could be useful when planning your route while pulling a trailer for example, so you could avoid windy roads. Mount does have a very good GPS receiver built in so when tablet is on the dash - you will be getting a strong GPS coverage, however if you take the tablet off the dash - it will turn into "Waiting for GPS signal" mode without a clear sky view.
Dash Camera - well, it requires you to mount your tablet so it's back camera is acting like a dash cam but that means you have to position tablet vertically, aim camera on the road and make sure nothing is in front of it. I've tried using it and while picture quality is good - frame rate is not, it's more like 15 FPS which makes passing cars look blurry. You would also need to start the Dash Cam recording every time you start your car since it would automatically stop recording every time you turn your car off (and tablet looses the external power). During my tests I've found that included mount is pretty shaky and it makes a camera recording pretty shaky too. There is an option to record sound, but no way to put current date/time, speed, GPS coordinates on the record.
Collision waring - unfortunately it was showing "calibration" and was never able to do anything, I suspect it may be due to the position of the front facing camera in my car. In addition to that - you can't launch the collision warning app AND a dash cam app at the same time - they would complain that camera device is used by the other application.
Backup Camera - it requires you to purchase an optional backup camera kit from Rand McNally, I did not have the kit for this test.
Tire Pressure and Temperature monitoring - again - that's an optional accessory (4 sensors and a receiver module) that is sold separately.
I see this one being very useful for the trailers, so you always know your trailer tires are ok.
Car Diagnostics - that is really a DashCommand app that is available for the purchase and requires an optional OBD II reader accessory which is sold separately.
Other pre installed apps include Rand McNally app store, Road Atlas and trip planner.
Besides pre-installed apps - tablet comes with the choice of 3 external app stores you can install: Amazon App Store, APKPure and Aptiode. Google Play Store is not available by default but you can put it on manually. After that - you are free to download anything you like, about 18Gb of onboard memory is available.
Overall - it's a great hardware with a lot of options, hassle free mount and connection to the car, but included software needs some work.

Well, it did install, but you are correct - Google Services App is crashing. I suspect it needs a little bit more that that, probably a GAPPS package, just need to find a way to load it. I will post here if I will be successful.

Great for beginners, easy and plenty of features!
By xKing from Frisco, TX
This is a great receiver if you just getting into the home theater, plenty of features, 6 HDCP 2.2 compliant HDMI inputs, 7 on-board amplifiers make it a great choice!
Setup is extremely easy and detailed wiring instructions are available in the manual as well as on-screen guide, you could get it all setup in less than 30 minutes.
There are the biggest advantages:
1) Great streaming capabilities - receiver supports Apple AirPlay, Google Chromecast Audio (it could be also controlled with Google Assistant) and Spotify (premium Spotify subscription is required). AirPlay support includes synchronous playback in multiple rooms.
2) Receiver supports all existing High Definition Audio formats - DSD, DTS-MA, Dolby ATMOS, DTS:X
3) Very easy automatic speaker setup and configuration.
4) 2 zones are supported, this receiver can power total of 7 speakers at the same time, so if you enable zone 2 - your 7.1 or 5.1.2 speaker configuration would become 5.1
5) great networking options - Ethernet or WiFi connections supported
6) Bluetooth could work in transmitter mode! This means that you can stream music from your receiver to the bluetooth speaker or headphones!
Few negative points:
1) First and the biggest one - this receiver is not as powerful as many would like. First thing I do when I consider a new receiver - I flip it around and look at the power supply rating, this receiver states 240W. Let's assume 30W of power is needed for receiver itself and pre-amp, which leaves just 30W of power available per channel if all channels are driven. That is not enough if you have big tower speakers, however if you only using bookshelf speakers in the small room - it could work for you. User manual does not list power rating for 8Ohm speakers, only figure you see is for 6Ohm 2 channels driven at 0.09% THD and receiver would supply 100W per channel. But where are the figures for 8Ohm? This is not unique to Sony, most of the receiver manufacturers tend to over inflate power ratings. Ideally I would like to see power with 0.09% THD all channels driven into 8Ohm.
2) 4Ohm speakers won't work with this model
3) If you have a turntable - you will need to use it's own phono pre-amp or external phono pre-amp, this receiver does NOT have an internal PHONO pre-amp.
4) Manual EQ settings are almost non-existent - you get 2 sliders: Bass and Treble, no actual frequency bands. No EQ settings for the subwoofer channel at all.
5) Receiver is a little sluggish to react to it's own remote, there is a noticeable delay between button press and reaction.
6) No pre-amp outputs for the main channels, only for zone 2 and subwoofer
7) Included remote is fairly simple and central arrow keys seem to rattle.
Overall: this Receiver would work great if you use it with small bookshelf speakers and you like things to get setup automatically for you. However advanced users may want to look at the different model.

Sorry about the confusion, what I meant to say - the receiver is great if you just getting into Home Theater, but it lacks advanced features. Talking about my friends - I would recommend them a different model because I would be able to help them further with the system configuration, therefore advanced model would work better.

Area mode and multi-floor mapping give you complete control over cleaning areas, and built-in sensors detect flooring types to ensure efficient performance on hard floors and carpets. This ECOVACS DEEBOT OZMO robot vacuum automatically returns to its charging dock for effortless operation.

I have two floors, Can I buy a second charging station for bringing it upstairs so I don't have to also bring the charging station up and down? will it work with two different charging stations?

it has an ability to select different maps (for different levels) so I would say yes!

The only purifying fan to clean a whole room properly*. We design our purifying fans to go beyond test chamber conditions and focus on real home conditions – this is more than just having an efficient filter.*Dyson engineers and research concluded that to clean an entire room properly, you need to sense pollution events automatically; capture ultrafine pollutants; and project cleaner air around the room using Air Multiplier technology. Only the Dyson purifying fan is designed and tested to do all of this.**Dyson technology helps create a cleaner, healthier home - Our vacuums and purifiers are scientifically proven to capture particles as small as allergens and bacteria.

How often do you need to replace filters

Machine has indicators of filter life, mine still show 100% (separate indicator for fiberglass and carbon filters). I guess it really depends how often it runs and how much contaminants it removed.

Ask Alexa to turn on the lights and music with this ecobee Switch+ smart switch. Its built-in speaker lets you access Amazon Alexa with voice commands, and it automatically turns off a light bulb at sunrise or when no one’s in the room. Control this ecobee Switch+ smart switch remotely from your iOS or Android device.

Do you need to have certain ights in your home for this switch to be compatible? For example, Phillips Hue LED lights or will it work with a regular floodlight or GE incandescent bulb? Lastly- How many lights can one switch control?

This switch can control up to 600W incandescent or 150W LED/CFG of regular lights wired to the switch directly. You can also use Alexa integrated in this switch to control any number of other smart lights that are Alexa compatible (Hue, LiFX, etc)

Nest Protect reliably detects and alerts you to the presence of smoke or carbon monoxide in your home. The alarm speaks to you in a calm, clear, human voice, telling you the location of the danger. It also provides smartphone alerts and battery status updates to help protect your home. This hardwired version is suitable for homes with existing hardwired smoke or CO detectors.

Will it connect to a Samsung Smart Hub, plus possibly the Samsung ADT Security system? I had the orginal Lowes IRIS Security System, but now considering getting a Samsung Smart Hub since it does work with my RING Video Doorbell.

If samsung hub works with nest cameras - yes, Nest Hello would show up as a regular Nest Camera.

Nest Doorbell (Wired) lets you know who’s there, so you never miss a thing. It replaces your existing wired doorbell and delivers HD video and bright, crisp images, even at night. It’s designed to show you everything at your doorstep — people head to toe or packages on the ground. And with 24/7 streaming, you can check in anytime. Or go back and look at a 3-hour snapshot history to see what happened.*

Does this have simultaneous 2-way audio, or do you have to press a button to talk? I have the August doorbell and you have to push to talk and it works terribly.

Yes, simultaneous 2 way audio, no buttons to hold
