The Ridge is a minimalist, RFID blocking wallet. The main cardholder uses elastic to expand to hold up to 12 IDs and credit cards. The typical leather bifold gets packed with faded receipts and unnecessary cards, resembling something more like a suitcase than a wallet. The Ridge is minimalist without being limiting. It’s about carrying less but always having what you need.

Minimalist design, fits anywhere
on November 22, 2023
Posted by: xKing
Design of this wallet is truly minimalist - 2 pieces of acrylic with aluminum veneer plates strapped together by the elastic bands. Whole thing is exactly the size of a credit card so your cards just go in between the acrylic plates. Notch on the side serves as an aid to remove the cards - whole deck comes out and if your card (wallet holds up to 12) is not the top or the bottom - you'll need to either pull the whole stack out or try fanning them out in place somehow. Not very convenient especially if you are in a hurry. Putting whole deck back in is kind of ordeal as well (start with a single card to create an opening and then slide the rest in). Cash strap allows you to fold the bills two times and secure using elastic strap, you would need to pull out the whole stack when you need it.
Overall if minimalism is what you looking for (and you use Apple or Android pay everywhere, real cards are needed as a backup only) - this wallet would definitely work, however with minimalist design you loose convenience.
Ridge has a great selection of accessories - replacement elastic straps, veneer plates, screws, coin tray, bottle opener so it's easy to build something that fits you personally, however there are other compact wallet designs out there in about the same price range, look those up to make an informed purchase decision.

Great all around house cleaner, soft needs work
on November 15, 2023
Posted by: xKing
I've been using robot cleaners for my home for a while (I'm not a big fan of manual labor, lol) and previously used separate robots for vacuuming and moping. After a while I made a list of things that I need to have:
* It must be a single machine, I don't like 2 robots out at the same time, they don't sync well, they make twice the noise
* Self emptying station is a must, robots typically have a very small dust compartment and require emptying quite often which is a messy job.
This Roomba combo unit hit all my requirements. All I really need to do is to fill the water/cleaning solution tank in the base (which is actually huge, holds at least a gallon) and change the dust bag in the base when it's time. Everything else is hands off!
Robot will gradually discover your house and build a detailed map, every room will be marked along with flooring type and how dirty it was last time so robot will be able to predict when next cleaning is needed.
You can pick the rooms (or areas like "around the couch") in the app and send robot on a cleaning mission. Robot will take pictures of unknown objects (like curtains) and send them to you so you can decide - should robot avoid those or not.
Now a few minor issues I had - robot did get stuck a couple of times and quite often has issues with docking. It will stop 3 feet off the docking station and report a "docking issue" in the app. I hope those growing issues will get fixed in the future software updates.
Overall - if you have a combination of hardwood and carpet - it's the robot for you!

Not a wet vac, just has a mopping attachment
on November 4, 2023
Posted by: xKing
Let's get the main thing out of the way - it's not really a wet vacuum that you can suck the spill up with, it just comes with a brand new mopping attachment. When mopping attachment is in use - vacuum's motor is not running, you pretty much just use the battery to spin the mopping roller in the attachment. It won't pickup large amounts of liquid from the floor like a shop vac would.
That said - it's actually an excellent vacuum! It comes with a whole bunch of attachments:
Regular floor turbo brush with anti-tangle system that pushes hair off of the rotating brush (which is awesome when you have family members with long hair)
Narrow furniture turbo brush with the same anti-hair-tangle system.
Laser brush - it's made for hardwood floors and lights up the dust with the green "laser like" beam - makes spotting dirty spots super easy, I had a few shocks first time I used that attachment and realized how messy some corners were!
Mopping attachment - you pretty much pour water or hardwood cleaner into container on the attachment itself, connect it to the vacuum wand and go mop! Mopping roller is turning which causes is to pickup clean water, apply it on the floor surface and then wring out the roller to the dirty water reservoir (also part of the attachment, vacuum does not suck dirty water up). I could easily see how effective that system is just by looking at the dirty water container - it was nasty!
Vacuum power head includes dust container (which is easy to empty into a trash can), motor and battery. Small display at the back of the power head shows how dirty the air is and vacuum automatically adjusts suction power depending on what you cleaning, sometimes it rises the suction to the point when brush gets stuck to the carpet and kinda hard to move! Battery lasts about 30 minutes, I was actually able to vacuum and mop 3000sq ft house no problem on a single charge.
Overall - if you are still using corded vacuum - upgrade to Dyson V15 - it has a ton of power, battery endurance and various attachment for any cleaning job you can think of!

Excellent protection, sustainable manufacturing
on October 27, 2023

I never though having a mirror on a phone case would be of any use for me, but it's actually pretty handy - working on the house or doing vehicle maintenance sometimes it's quite useful! That said case's main purpose is of course to protect the phone. iPhone 15 camera is sticking so much out that it's pretty much requires a protective case to lay on the flat surface, it would just rest on the camera lenses otherwise, this case has a protective border around the camera assembly as well as the border around the screen to protect your glass surfaces. Front of the case allows for the screen protector to be placed without any interference. Volume and power buttons are protected with the plastic buttons as usual, however the new action button is exposed, which makes it easy to locate without looking at the phone itself. There is also a provision to attach a lanyard next to the phone's power button to provide some extra security. Case does not seem to interfere with the MagSafe magnets at the back of the phone and allows for accessories to be attached and recognized by the phone without any issues, charging speed is not affected either. Great purchase!

Worth upgrading for
on October 19, 2023
Posted by: xKing
Bose is a leader in active noise cancelling and have been around for a few decades, I've been using Quiet Comfort products for a long time and they never stop impress me!
QuietComfort Ultra replaced my old QC35 pair of headphones and it's totally worth the upgrade! Great build quality and new Bluetooth standard support with longer wireless range, USB-C charging and of course excellent noise cancelling performance.
Headphones are controlled just by 2 buttons and touch sensitive volume control slider on the right ear cup (sliding power switch that my QC35 used to have is gone and I actually kinda miss the ability to tell the power state just by looking at the switch position). Controls are smooth and voice annunciations are now brief, Bose Music phone app is available to look at the settings visually.
QC Ultra introduced a brand new Immersive Audio feature - it expands sound stage so instead of hearing music "in the center of your head" you can actually make it feel like you are in front of the sound stage (and it either stays that direction when you move or stage can move with you making it feel like you are listening to the speakers in the room, not headphones).
Noise cancelling performance is actually very good for the size and weight of the headphones (I'm comparing to professional aviation Bose A20 set) - air conditioning noise, fans, street noise just goes away.
Bose products do last a very long time and you can actually buy a replacement ear cushion set when they wear out. I would definitely recommend this headset, it will serve you well for many years.

Gas-like performance without all the drawbacks of gas. That’s what the Worx 40V Power Share 14” Cordless Chainsaw gives you. We’ve doubled the volts of our standard Power Share tools and made a chainsaw powered by two 20V batteries. Double the run time and upgraded performance but still with cordless convenience and without the smell or expense of gasoline. We’re able to achieve this on account of the saw’s high-efficiency brushless motor. It’s more durable and uses less battery than a motor based around a brush design. It spins the 0.043” gauge chain, with a 3/8” pitch, at 26ft/s. So you’ve got all the power you need to perform every regular chainsaw job. Cut 26” diameter logs on the ground or 13” diameter trees that are still standing, for instance. Auto-tensioning and auto-oiling systems keep the bar and chain running at peak performance throughout the entire life of this tool. And on-board battery charge indicators, and oil-tank markings, let you know when you’ll need to recharge or refill the oil. Plus, the quick-stop chain brake adds an extra level of safety to this saw, so you’ll know you can always shut it down at a moment’s notice.

Great for storm cleanup or trimming
on October 8, 2023

If you own property with trees - chances are you will need to prune them one day or a limb will fall and you will need to be able to dispose of it. I was thinking of getting a chain saw for these purposes but gasoline one did not make sense as I only need one occasionally and don't really want to deal with draining gas for a long term storage between the uses. Worx electric chainsaw came in incredibly handy and is a pleasure to work with (I was getting by using sawzal before). Very well built machine, bar and chain made by Oregon (which is extremely common for many chainsaw brands), it has 2 metal studs to hold the bar firmly in place and automatic chain tension adjustment system. Setting tension was a bit finicky at first, key was to apply upward and forward pressure to the bar before tightening up the adjustment knob.
Saw came with batteries and a charger but no oil included so that's the only item (and some PPE of course) that you need to get.
My first test was to cut a pretty thick 6" branch off a tree and process it to small enough pieces. Saw is a pleasure to work with, very light and nimble, almost zero effort is required to operate. Handle wraps around and allows you to position the bar vertical or horizontal (but it's not a full wrap around like some professional saws have). Front of the saw does not have metal spikes for extra leverage.
My whole project took me about an hour (to fully chop and limb the branch) and saw still had some battery life left! Just for fun I split a couple 2' logs and finally batteries died.
Charging took about 1 hour, however it won't start charging process until batteries cool off so if you plan on a long project - purchase an extra set! Worx batteries work with any Worx tool (and higher capacities are available), however saw requires 2 batteries, it won't run on just one.
Overall - it's a great choice for the small weekend jobs, it cuts thru the wood with ease and pleasure to handle. however if you rely on cutting wood for your heat - I would probably recommend something bigger and with faster chain speed.

Will it overheat?..
on September 23, 2023
Posted by: xKing
It's an absolute best starter kit IF you just getting into action cameras. You'll have a set of accessories (GoPro calls them Mods) to actually start making some incredible footage!
This year's model is very similar to GoPro 11 witch the addition of blue "specks" into the body color and one very nice thing 1/4-20 camera mount standard! It's a 27 Megapixel 8x7 sensor capable of landscape and portrait image capture without camera orientation change.
Other news this year - GPS sensor is gone from 12 series and camera thermal performance has finally improved. I could not get more than 20 minutes out of GoPro 10 without overheating and 12 finally improved it (it's roughly double the time now, but I'm still testing and it's hot in TX)! I still do make sure camera gets some airflow though.
Should you get a kit or just the camera? If you don't have any accessories just yet - kit would provide you with the basic stuff, for example media mod (microphone case) is absolutely a must if you planning on connecting external sound source and power at the same time, Volta handle is a great little handle/integrated tripod and a way to keep your camera battery charged. Just add a good micro SD cards and you good to go!

Works with any streaming service you think of
on September 5, 2023
Posted by: xKing
I needed a way to use in-ceiling pair of speakers in my new house and this receiver appeared to be a very good candidate. It outputs 2 channels at 40W per channel, supports almost any streaming service there is (Spotify, Apple AirPlay, Google Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer) can play regular FM radio, CD disks plus it has a few inputs such as Phono for a turntable (Moving Magnet cartridge only), line in, USB and digital inputs. It's pretty compact in size so it would be easy to find a place and can display current time on the front display (kinda like a hotel alarm clock-FM radio). Setup process is extremely easy - can be accomplished via WiFi using Google Home or Apple Home apps or just a wired Ethernet connection. First thing it did - it decided to perform firmware update which took it a good 20 minutes. At the end of the update it just displayed "Success" and sat like that (nothing in the manual or quick start guide) until I power cycled it. Internet access unfortunately does not mean it will automatically recognize your CD content.
Overall - it does a decent job driving a stereo system, it won't be able to drive a floorstanding speakers, but a pair of bookshelfs or in-ceiling/in-wall speakers - easily. There is also a subwoofer output, unfortunately I could not find any crossover settings so I'm not sure if there is one. Phono pre-amp and built-in CD player add it a nice "retro" touch making this receiver a point of interest for everyone. Unfortunately there are no pre-amp outputs so it's not possible to upgrade to external amplifier. It does not support SuperAudio CD either (despite "Premium" in the name).

Meet the Ninja Foodi DualZone FlexBasket Air Fryer with 7-qt MegaZone. With the MegaZone, you can now cook larger proteins or entire meals that feed your whole family all in one basket. Insert the basket divider to cook with two 3.5 qt baskets or remove it to cook in 1 MegaZone for full 7-qt capacity. Eliminate back-to-back cooking with Dual Zone Technology. Use Smart Finish to cook 2 foods, 2 ways that finish cooking at the same time, or sync the settings across both zones with Match Cook. Plus, it features 6 cooking functions (air fry, air broil, roast, bake, reheat, dehydrate) so no matter what you’re craving, you can make it all in this 7 qt air fryer. Then, when you’re done cooking, cleanup is a breeze with nonstick and dishwasher safe crisper plates and basket.

Speed of a microwave but so much tastier!
on September 2, 2023
Posted by: xKing
Ninja calls this air fryer but it really is a universal oven! It has Air Broil, Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Reheat and Dehydrate modes which makes it quite a useful tool in the kitchen. Cooking is done in a big basket located at the bottom of the appliance, basket has a removable divider and two removable grates at the bottom to allow for hot air circulation. Whole basket can be used as a single cooking "Megazone" or with divider installed each half can have it's own cooking regime set. It can even match cooking times to make sure both halves are done at the same time. Air fryer has pretty much no warm-up time and it's hot in a few seconds allowing for a quick warm up. With the divider removed whole basket can be used to bake a loaf of bread or a pound cake or to make a ton of fries for the whole company.
Few things that I would like to note - loaded with food basket is quite heavy and removing it single hand is difficult, use both hands and a coaster to sit it on. When both zones are active - air fryer is switching heating elements back and forth not to exceed 15Amp load on the outlet. I do have 20 Amp circuit and it would be nice if Ninja allowed to utilize the whole 20 Amp.
And of course - no matter if you used a single zone or a whole thing - you washing the whole basket. Divider and grates are dishwasher safe, basket is hand wash only.

Re-birth of the legendary Technics direct drive
on August 30, 2023
Posted by: xKing
Technics is a company that came up with a direct drive turntable idea back in the 70s and it was an instant hit in DJ community as it allowed for a bunch of special "effects", there was a ton of different clones of the original Technics SL-1200 and I even used to own a cheap clone. Was excited to finally get a real Technics!
It's built substantially better with vibration insulating feet and absolutely quiet drive. I can hear nothing when platter is operating!
Turntable requires some minor assembly to do after unpacking - install platter, cartridge (it comes with Ortofon m2 red but will accommodate pretty much anything), counterweights. Setting up stylus down force (1.8 grams for included cartridge) was easy and I did NOT need an additional counterweight that Technics included with the turntable, I guess it will be useful for heavier cartridges. Set and antiskid to the same 1.8 value and check the cartridge alignment (look up cartridge alignment protractor on the internet). Truntable came with RCA cable and ground lead which could be connected to either PHONO input of your receiver/processor or a line input, just select if you want to use the built-in phono pre-amp or bypass it. I prefer the external phono pre-amps. Included RCA cable worked surprisingly good with absolutely no humming or any other noise introduction.
Overall - it's an amazing turntable for a vinyl enthusiast, super quiet drive, ability to work with pretty much any cartridge (tonearm height is adjustable plus additional counterweight allows for a heavy cartridges to be used) and pure Phono output make it a great choice that will serve you for many decades just like the original SL-1200 did.

Great travel companion
By xKing from Frisco, TX
This laptop would be a great travel companion. Screen can be folded all the way to the back making this laptop a big tablet, Windows recognizes it as a "tablet mode" and adjusts the interface so that's easy to use that way. Tablet mode is a great idea if your space is limited such as a car or an airplane. That is if you don't mind wiping your fingerprints off the screen later.
Overall construction is very nice and solid, aluminum top cover and plastic bottom make it easy to hold and it does not get real hot to the touch while working. Bottom is fairly easy to take off (philips screwdriver and plastic prying tools needed) allowing access to the single memory slot and a hard drive (watch for hard drive - it will fall off when bottom cover is off). Laptop has a good selection of ports (including HDMI, 2x USB 3 and a USB-C!) making it easy to connect to the accessories you need. Hardware volume control paddle is located on the right side of the laptop almost next to the power switch - I actually send laptop to sleep couple of times while trying to adjust the speaker volume, so be careful.
Screen resolution is a full 1920x1080 HD but the space under the screen (where the Acer logo is) feels unused - I wish Acer did extend the screen to the bottom a bit more. From the beginning - my laptop had a very noticeable green tint to the screen which I had to correct using the Windows color calibration tool - no issues after that.
Keyboard and the touchpad are functional and easy to use, keyboard is backlit (either on or off, no brightness adjustment).
Battery - I was able to use laptop for 4 full hours watching videos, surfing web and working on the documents before battery fully drained, it took it 3 hours to charge back to 100%. Included 45W power adapter is surprisingly small and easy to pack, supports any voltage from 100 to 240 so overseas travel is not a problem!
Performance - I did not notice any delays while working with the big office documents, 8 Gb RAM (upgradeable to 12Gb) and i5 CPU have more than enough for any office tasks, however I would recommend upgrading to SSD if you require a lot of disk activity.
Overall - great laptop for those who work on the go and need a good selection of ports at the workplace, strong performer!

It's really comes down to your personal preference. HP you've mentioned has a smaller 13.3" screen, but a solid state drive will perform better. Acer has a bigger screen but a slower mechanical hard drive.

Physically - any 2.5" SSD drive will fit. It really depends on your budget and how much storage would you like to have. I personally use Crucial drives.

Finally an Android tabled designed for your car!
By xKing from Frisco, TX
This tablet would be a real good option for those who want just an Android tablet in the car, it mounts hassle free with the included mount. I used the "bean bag" as a base and suction cup attached to the bean bag.
Tablet has a magnetic attachment at the back that takes care of the electrical connections as well so all you need to do is to place the tablet on the mount and that's it! No wires to plug in!
Physically it's a very well made device with rubberized back which makes it secure in hand, screen is bright and I had no problem looking at it with my polarized sunglasses on.
It has micro USB port for charging / data transfer, micro SD card slot, mini HDMI port and a 3.5mm sound output jack.
Mount has a full size USB port, 3.5mm sound output jack that you can connect to your car's AUX input and a power port, that connects to the standard 12V DC or 24V DC cigarrete lighter outlet. Optionally - you can screw in an included FM transmitter antenna to the mount, so it will output sound to your car's FM receiver.
Hardware volume control, power switch and a home button are on top of the tablet, buttons are easy to operate while the car is moving.
Unfortunately this tablet does not have a built in modem so if you would like to connect it to the Internet while on the road - you will need to have some kind of WiFi in your car. This kinda defeats the main product slogan of making any car a connected one, you will still need to provide your own connection. I've used a mobile WiFi hotspot for my test.
Included apps:
Navigation - I liked that one, it comes with the lifetime Map update, directions are clear and easy to follow, speed limit is displayed for major roads and you could optionally setup a notification for when you are over the speed limit for X number of MPH. No school zone alerts though.
Online functions include gas prices (by GasBuddy), traffic and weather - all of these require tablet to have an active internet connection. Weather could be useful when planning your route while pulling a trailer for example, so you could avoid windy roads. Mount does have a very good GPS receiver built in so when tablet is on the dash - you will be getting a strong GPS coverage, however if you take the tablet off the dash - it will turn into "Waiting for GPS signal" mode without a clear sky view.
Dash Camera - well, it requires you to mount your tablet so it's back camera is acting like a dash cam but that means you have to position tablet vertically, aim camera on the road and make sure nothing is in front of it. I've tried using it and while picture quality is good - frame rate is not, it's more like 15 FPS which makes passing cars look blurry. You would also need to start the Dash Cam recording every time you start your car since it would automatically stop recording every time you turn your car off (and tablet looses the external power). During my tests I've found that included mount is pretty shaky and it makes a camera recording pretty shaky too. There is an option to record sound, but no way to put current date/time, speed, GPS coordinates on the record.
Collision waring - unfortunately it was showing "calibration" and was never able to do anything, I suspect it may be due to the position of the front facing camera in my car. In addition to that - you can't launch the collision warning app AND a dash cam app at the same time - they would complain that camera device is used by the other application.
Backup Camera - it requires you to purchase an optional backup camera kit from Rand McNally, I did not have the kit for this test.
Tire Pressure and Temperature monitoring - again - that's an optional accessory (4 sensors and a receiver module) that is sold separately.
I see this one being very useful for the trailers, so you always know your trailer tires are ok.
Car Diagnostics - that is really a DashCommand app that is available for the purchase and requires an optional OBD II reader accessory which is sold separately.
Other pre installed apps include Rand McNally app store, Road Atlas and trip planner.
Besides pre-installed apps - tablet comes with the choice of 3 external app stores you can install: Amazon App Store, APKPure and Aptiode. Google Play Store is not available by default but you can put it on manually. After that - you are free to download anything you like, about 18Gb of onboard memory is available.
Overall - it's a great hardware with a lot of options, hassle free mount and connection to the car, but included software needs some work.

Well, it did install, but you are correct - Google Services App is crashing. I suspect it needs a little bit more that that, probably a GAPPS package, just need to find a way to load it. I will post here if I will be successful.

Great for beginners, easy and plenty of features!
By xKing from Frisco, TX
This is a great receiver if you just getting into the home theater, plenty of features, 6 HDCP 2.2 compliant HDMI inputs, 7 on-board amplifiers make it a great choice!
Setup is extremely easy and detailed wiring instructions are available in the manual as well as on-screen guide, you could get it all setup in less than 30 minutes.
There are the biggest advantages:
1) Great streaming capabilities - receiver supports Apple AirPlay, Google Chromecast Audio (it could be also controlled with Google Assistant) and Spotify (premium Spotify subscription is required). AirPlay support includes synchronous playback in multiple rooms.
2) Receiver supports all existing High Definition Audio formats - DSD, DTS-MA, Dolby ATMOS, DTS:X
3) Very easy automatic speaker setup and configuration.
4) 2 zones are supported, this receiver can power total of 7 speakers at the same time, so if you enable zone 2 - your 7.1 or 5.1.2 speaker configuration would become 5.1
5) great networking options - Ethernet or WiFi connections supported
6) Bluetooth could work in transmitter mode! This means that you can stream music from your receiver to the bluetooth speaker or headphones!
Few negative points:
1) First and the biggest one - this receiver is not as powerful as many would like. First thing I do when I consider a new receiver - I flip it around and look at the power supply rating, this receiver states 240W. Let's assume 30W of power is needed for receiver itself and pre-amp, which leaves just 30W of power available per channel if all channels are driven. That is not enough if you have big tower speakers, however if you only using bookshelf speakers in the small room - it could work for you. User manual does not list power rating for 8Ohm speakers, only figure you see is for 6Ohm 2 channels driven at 0.09% THD and receiver would supply 100W per channel. But where are the figures for 8Ohm? This is not unique to Sony, most of the receiver manufacturers tend to over inflate power ratings. Ideally I would like to see power with 0.09% THD all channels driven into 8Ohm.
2) 4Ohm speakers won't work with this model
3) If you have a turntable - you will need to use it's own phono pre-amp or external phono pre-amp, this receiver does NOT have an internal PHONO pre-amp.
4) Manual EQ settings are almost non-existent - you get 2 sliders: Bass and Treble, no actual frequency bands. No EQ settings for the subwoofer channel at all.
5) Receiver is a little sluggish to react to it's own remote, there is a noticeable delay between button press and reaction.
6) No pre-amp outputs for the main channels, only for zone 2 and subwoofer
7) Included remote is fairly simple and central arrow keys seem to rattle.
Overall: this Receiver would work great if you use it with small bookshelf speakers and you like things to get setup automatically for you. However advanced users may want to look at the different model.

Sorry about the confusion, what I meant to say - the receiver is great if you just getting into Home Theater, but it lacks advanced features. Talking about my friends - I would recommend them a different model because I would be able to help them further with the system configuration, therefore advanced model would work better.

Area mode and multi-floor mapping give you complete control over cleaning areas, and built-in sensors detect flooring types to ensure efficient performance on hard floors and carpets. This ECOVACS DEEBOT OZMO robot vacuum automatically returns to its charging dock for effortless operation.

I have two floors, Can I buy a second charging station for bringing it upstairs so I don't have to also bring the charging station up and down? will it work with two different charging stations?

it has an ability to select different maps (for different levels) so I would say yes!

The only purifying fan to clean a whole room properly*. We design our purifying fans to go beyond test chamber conditions and focus on real home conditions – this is more than just having an efficient filter.*Dyson engineers and research concluded that to clean an entire room properly, you need to sense pollution events automatically; capture ultrafine pollutants; and project cleaner air around the room using Air Multiplier technology. Only the Dyson purifying fan is designed and tested to do all of this.**Dyson technology helps create a cleaner, healthier home - Our vacuums and purifiers are scientifically proven to capture particles as small as allergens and bacteria.

How often do you need to replace filters

Machine has indicators of filter life, mine still show 100% (separate indicator for fiberglass and carbon filters). I guess it really depends how often it runs and how much contaminants it removed.

Ask Alexa to turn on the lights and music with this ecobee Switch+ smart switch. Its built-in speaker lets you access Amazon Alexa with voice commands, and it automatically turns off a light bulb at sunrise or when no one’s in the room. Control this ecobee Switch+ smart switch remotely from your iOS or Android device.

Do you need to have certain ights in your home for this switch to be compatible? For example, Phillips Hue LED lights or will it work with a regular floodlight or GE incandescent bulb? Lastly- How many lights can one switch control?

This switch can control up to 600W incandescent or 150W LED/CFG of regular lights wired to the switch directly. You can also use Alexa integrated in this switch to control any number of other smart lights that are Alexa compatible (Hue, LiFX, etc)

Nest Protect reliably detects and alerts you to the presence of smoke or carbon monoxide in your home. The alarm speaks to you in a calm, clear, human voice, telling you the location of the danger. It also provides smartphone alerts and battery status updates to help protect your home. This hardwired version is suitable for homes with existing hardwired smoke or CO detectors.

Will it connect to a Samsung Smart Hub, plus possibly the Samsung ADT Security system? I had the orginal Lowes IRIS Security System, but now considering getting a Samsung Smart Hub since it does work with my RING Video Doorbell.

If samsung hub works with nest cameras - yes, Nest Hello would show up as a regular Nest Camera.

Nest Doorbell (Wired) lets you know who’s there, so you never miss a thing. It replaces your existing wired doorbell and delivers HD video and bright, crisp images, even at night. It’s designed to show you everything at your doorstep — people head to toe or packages on the ground. And with 24/7 streaming, you can check in anytime. Or go back and look at a 3-hour snapshot history to see what happened.*

Does this have simultaneous 2-way audio, or do you have to press a button to talk? I have the August doorbell and you have to push to talk and it works terribly.

Yes, simultaneous 2 way audio, no buttons to hold
