And while this isn't a bad thing, the recurring feeling of "it's good" I felt while playing through Arkham origins falls short of the greatness that was the two Rocksteady developed predecessors.
The story is decent enough and the gameplay/presentation is largely the same as before. However, it's missing the little extra bit of spice and fan service which has made the franchise so great.
This action-packed triple feature contains Predator starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Danny Glover in Predator 2, and the 2010 reboot Predators starring Adrien Brody.

For fans of the PREDATOR franchise, this triple feature is an overall great value.
It features the classic original film from 1987, followed by the '90 and 2010 sequels.
The video quality isn't all that stellar for the first two films, and the 1987 original is NOT the 3D re-issue which came out a few years ago. The 2010 Predators is crisp all around, though.

This is a decent offering into the Metal Gear franchise by Platinum Games, but overall nothing special or too memorable.
The gameplay is fast, frantic and typical hack-n-slash. However, a lot of it depends on a parry system that isn't all that great and it can become very repetitive overall.
Graphics are pretty good, though there is a big dip between gameplay and cutscenes.
The storyline, dialogue and acting are all typical MG...even without Hideo Kojima's involvement. Heavy-handed lectures on philosophy, war and politics from a cyborg ninja with silver hair gets a bit too goofy to take seriously.

While the original 1974 classic and the fifth installment aren't included in this bundle, this is still an incredible package which includes Death Wish 2, 3 and 4.
When you buy those films on Blu individually, they will cost you close to 50 bucks. When you do the math, it's a no-brainer for Bonson fans.

This is one of the most frustrating video games I've ever plaid.
Visually, Shadow Fall is a great tech demo for the powerhouse PS4 and the core gameplay elements are on-point, with the OWL drone being a nice tag-along edition.
However, the bad far outweighs the good here. Some negatives I experienced:
- You cannot change your primary weapon. - The story is largely a disjointed mess and practically tripping over tropes. - Bland characters make it impossible to be invested in anyone you encounter throughout the campaign. - Some lazy level design results in waves of bullet sponge enemies being used rather than presenting fun challenges. - While the larger scale is ambitious, some of the objectives are extremely vague.
This game is frequently on sale and with GCU, I'd recommend it for under twenty bucks.
But other than that, it's hardly memorable, other than being needlessly frustrating.

The wind blows freely down the corridor of what was once a canyon of skyscrapers populated by million-dollar businesses, employees in suits and citizens on cell phones. A constant stream of yellow taxi cabs used to flow steadily down the asphalt streets. Now, Mother Nature has reclaimed what was hers, and vegetation engulfs the massive cities in patches. A modern plague outsmarted our civilized medicine, so now our cities now lie abandoned, and what's left of the American population is forced to do whatever it takes to survive. Neighbors who were friends, now kill each other for a loaf of bread — or a rifle — whatever they can get their hands on to help them live another day. In this decimated democracy, two individuals join up to work together in order and attempt the dangerous journey across the country. Will these two be able to survive the trek — or will they be The Last of Us?Developed by Naughty Dog, the creators of the popular Uncharted franchise, comes The Last of Us. Carefully blending elements of survival and action, The Last of Us defines a genre by placing you in the heart of the adventure to outlast a modern plague on your journey across the decimated United States. Playing as Joel, a survivor, and Ellie, a teenage girl who is much braver and wiser than her age would suggest, you must work together to fend off dangerous foes, terrifying enemies and other survivors who will do anything to save themselves. Every minute of every hour of every day is a struggle to outlive the next person you encounter — do you have the mental and physical strength to make it?
When it comes to revenge flicks, South Korean filmmakers know what they are doing.
I SAW THE DEVIL is a brutal descent into madness, and shows what happens when a sadistic serial killer meets his match in the form of an equally dangerous, equally violent, equally cerebral special agent who is hell-bent on revenge.
Elements of drama, horror, action and noir are all seamlessly blended with an ample serving of violence in this modern revenge masterpiece.
NOT for the faint of heart, but fans of the genre will love it.

What's great about it: Plot, pace, visceral violence
The eighth and final season of Dexter finds Dexter Morgan's (Michael C. Hall) carefully constructed world continuing to fall apart at the seams following the death of Lt. LaGuerta at the hands of Dexter's own sister Debra (Jennifer Carpenter). While Debra languishes from remorse, Dexter meets a psychopathologist who appears to understand the code of ethics that have served as motive for Dexter in his storied alter-ego as a serial killer.
Dexter as a whole remains one of the finest original series Showtime has ever produced. However, the last few seasons left a lot to be desired, and it's unfortunate this final season does little to change course.
I won't spoil anything, but my biggest criticism of this season was that too many loose ends weren't addressed and longtime characters did not receive proper send-offs with new characters, twists and subplots being introduced and rushed.
The audio and picture quality of the Blu-Ray set is very good, and this is worth adding to the collection for collectors and fans who have been with the show since the start. However, I find very little replay value.

Just a few weeks away from the 2014 reboot of Robocop comes a re-release of the classic 1987 film on Blu-Ray.
While there are several other versions of the film currently available on Blu, this one offers a stunning 4K scan which showcases the film in all its glory with the best audio and video available.
Another plus is that first-run copies include a ticket voucher for a discount to see the new film in theaters.
