its ratchet & clank so the fun factor is there. i haven't played the series since the first one on ps2. I am out of date so before i got the newest future installment i wanted to play the previous two. I am glad i did. it has its challenging parts but i am having a blast. I wanted to know the storyline for the series. Unfortunately i didn't know there wasn't trophy support until I had already opened the game. trophies are a big hit and very rewarding. all in all, I like it though.
What's great about it: upgrades, new weapons/items
What's not so great: no trophies

after reading all the reviews on the original LBP i said it has to be good. so I gave it a shot. been playing for about a week and boy was everyone right. its a very addictive and creative game. its a thoroughly planned out game and is challenging for the most part. my girlfriend and i find ourselves playing for hours at a time into the early morning hours. good sleep is hard to come by now, lol. other than the tutorials we haven't made any levels ourselves but we do see how it has very few limits. with 1+ million levels online, this game is worth every penny. i can't seem to put in time to play other games.
What's great about it: everything. game pays for itself in no time
What's not so great: huh

i believe 2k fan expect more and more each year and its hard to please everyone. eventually gaming will level out for a few years until it kicks up a notch again. compared to live this game is awesome on the gameplay and the player modeling. more realism and control. those that are making the switch will say the same things as those in the pass. i too was a loyal EA fan. this was also the year that i wanted to try the 2k series. i am after gameplay. the things you can do in 2k you just can't possibly do in live. you are in control of your moves. the downside is that after playing live for years, this 2k is a whole different beast for me. the moves are a must to learn and you have to do them quick on the fly if you want to get past your man. i bought this game day one, played all night and now i don't play is as much as i intended due to other new game purchases, but i am glad i have this in my inventory. 2k is a different interface but adaptation will happen eventually. after seeing 2k9 on you tube, the commentary is alot better. not sure of all the glitches that every complains about though. I won't be playing this online anytime soon so online play won't be a factoer for me. for those live fans, i will say at least rent this. the downloadable combine demo won't give your full experience. play the real thing.
What's great about it: gameplay
What's not so great: lots of moves to learn

i have been a madden fan since the 90s. i have always enjoyed any version i get. typically i wait every 2-4 years to purchase the next madden. i just purchased a new ps3 for my b-day and madden is always the first game on any new system i get. since i just came over from the ps2 - madden 07 the controls are different and you can't change them like you can in older ps2 versions. i love the fact that the game is completely customizable. not only is there rookie, pro, all-pro and madden, but you can change the game speed and even use your own custom settings. i am not a great madden player but i love playing franchise to build stats. i must say that if your not great all-pro and all madden is a nightmare. sooo much pressure on the run and pass. for me pro can be a little too easy at times and all pro can be a bit more than what i can handle at times. i use custom setting for right in between on normal game speed. perfect for me. slow and very slow are cool if you need a little more time to hit holes and receivers. i hate blowing out the computer so my settings are realistic, no fun just to pad stats. i really like that it gives season stats/rankings during game play and gives key plays at the end of the game. you even have the option to go back and look at any play yourself on the drive summaries. all in all the game is great. no nfl fan who is a gamer should be without it.
What's great about it: its madden, you can run and throw at the same time now,
What's not so great: no training camp, cost you in the psn for options to add

was there an exclusive content code for preordering assassin's creed 2

when i looked at the gaming insider booklet that is given free at best buy, on the back said "reserve assassin's creed 2 today and receive a best buy exclusive code to unlock the arsenal shipyard." and i pre-ordered it and also receaved a hard copy preorder box. however when i picked up the game itself there was no code. and this promotion was also up on the best buy site and it showed up when i searched "best buy exclusive assassin's creed 2 arsenal shipyard"

what im wondering is if there is in fact a code for just preordering this or was i supposed to go to the midnight opening? and also if i should call the best buy i bought it from seeing as when i called they said there was nothing about an exclusive code.
i didn't preorder but i got the game on release day and the code was inside with the game manual. its a single piece of paper that came inside the case. if your case cover has the best buy logo on it, it should be inside. thing about the code is, it only works on one machine. the codes are different per game case. the paper will tell you how to activate the code.
