Believe it or not I’m not a big time gamer.
But I do like to explore things that I normally don’t have easy access to.
Did a search on Google to find out more about the headset.
Found a Mashable blog that provides several non gaming apps to try.
One is Apollo 11 which recreates the mission to the moon.
Another one is Ocean Rift which explores underwater habitats.
The county library system where I live hired someone to handle Oculus VR.
I met him at a technology showcase that was held at one library.
Later I found out I can sign up for a free 30 minute session to learn more about VR.
Looking foward to learning more about this exciting technology.

UPS did the honor of delivering the package to me.
They are usually careful about putting the package on my front door mat without slamming it down like FedEx Ground. And they keep it away from the rain too.
Noticed the nice clear product box Insignia usually uses. Product box fits snugly in the cardboard shipping box. Maybe that’s why I didn’t see a dented corner on the outside box ?
Took time to read the start up guide.
Lots of built in control features on the left ear piece. Headset is very comfortable so no problem using it for long periods of time.
A pleasant surprise is that there is no required app to adjust settings. This speeds up the learning curve for the device in my opinion.
I have a long USB cord plugged into a Wi-Fi power strip that charged the device.
Minor point but device uses a Micro USB port for charging. Not like the USB-C ports that are showing up on competitors. Some people prefer this. I know I do even tho I have USB wall.chargers for my two Pixel phones and Pixel Stand.
Device charged up in less than 45 minutes so must have come with a partial charge.
Product is foldable but doesn’t come with a soft shell, zippered case with D-ring.
No issue as I can always get one cheap online. They start at $6.99 and provide a handy way of storing the included charging cable. But that’s not a big deal.

SOUND
Paired with Bluetooth settings on my Pixel 3XL phone the first time I tried.
Noticed very good bass.
Just for good measure I used the included 3.5 mm cord and used it on my phone with the adapter that came with said phone. No issues encountered.
NOISE CANCELLATION
Next step was to turn on my living room TV and set sound to 20.
Then pressed ANC (auto noise cancellation) button on left ear piece. Played YouTube Music Epic Film Scores free radio station. I could hear the music clearly without background noise interference.
Did have to turn up sound level on phone tho.
THE VERDICT
Everything works as intended so will keep product in my Chromebook carrying backpack for now.
I definitely feel I lucked out big time with these earphones !

First thing I did was put them on.
Passed the comfort test. Very picky about this.
Plastic construction. Maybe too much plastic makes product feel cheap ?
Extra bass appreciated as I listen to Epic Film Scores on Google Play Music app.
Competitive long battery life up to 30 hours. You can continue to use the headset even when it’s out of power with the supplied cable.
With the app you can optimize sound settings. I used Bluetooth to pair the headsets to my Pixel 3XL phone. Listened to Epic Film Scores on YouTube music. It was great. Didn’t even try to adjust sound settings in the app.
You can also use NFC to pair the headset with your bluetooth device (ie. mobile phone)
You can use this product with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.
Wish it came with a carrying case. But you can get one pretty cheap online. Also no foldable feature to save space while transporting the headset.
This is a winner in the great Sony lineup of headsets.

First thing I noticed is the charging port is USB-C which is very unusual.
The documentation is amongst the best I have seen recently. Very easy to understand and painless to use.
My wall charger for my Pixel 1 phone was nearby so I used it to charge the headset. There is a charging cable included in the box which I found later on.
I then installed the Jabra Sound+ app for my Pixel 3XL.
I wore the headset to pair it to the Pixel 3 XL smartphone. It was easy.
Brochure states up to 36 hours (with ANC on) & fast charge (5 hours in 15 min)
ANC = Smart Active Noise Cancellation to block unwanted background noise.

Smart Sound audio automatically adapts to surroundings.
I can say the touch controls to increase/decrease sound volume was easy the first time I tried it.
Really like the semi hard shell carrying case. Takes up more space than a bag but offers more protection.
Pressed the small button on left earpiece and heard “ANC”. Played the news on sound volume 35 on cable TV. ANC did work. TV is 8’ from where I was sitting.
When I turned down the sound on the TV to 20 the headset worked better. TV is in family room which is next to the kitchen table. Most of our waking hours is spent here and 20 is where we normally set the sound.
Sound quality is good but there’s lots of competition out there.
Oh one last thing. This headset is very comfortable to wear. Very important to keep in mind when shopping for such a product.
Overall I recommend this product for it’s thoughtful design and innovative features.

This product is no exception.
It’s also waterproof and dustproof so good for the outdoors.
Up to 16 hours of battery life.
A small and light design.
You can also add a second speaker for stereo sound.
There’s an older model with many user reviews so a track record to follow.
I’m all for great sound in a small package.

Came in a large box considering the size of the webcam.
Hooked it up to my Chromebox and went to a webcam testing website to make sure it works.

No drivers needed to run on Chrome OS.
Logitech Capture Software available to download but won’t work with Chromebox as no third party software can be installed on it.
Too bad Chrome OS can’t work with a 1080p webcam. Only 720p but that’s OK because I’m confident that someday Chrome OS will support 1080p webcams on a Chromebox.
Privacy shade nice.
So are two stereo mics
I usually go on 1-2 Google Hangouts every week.
So far so good. People can see and hear me clearly.
This is my third webcam from Logitech.
Glad to have another winner to use

Shipping weight on FedEx showed 16 lbs. So expected a large portable bluetooth speaker.
And that is exactly what I got.
Sound quality similar to a full size Marshall Bluetooth speaker I got a while ago.
Only it takes up less space and has a handy carrying handle.
This is a good listening option for people who live in multiple places.
No need to compromise when listening to your tunes.

Handsome looking set of cookware I must say.
Non stick set carries a lifetime warranty.
We don’t have a lot of space to work with at my Mother’s house which was built in the 60’s.
Two family members do a lot of cooking so the cookware will be seeing a lot of action.

A good effort to help save $ on toner.
Took a bit of time to get set up. Must squeeze toner out of each bottle.
Able to print once from Pixel 3XL phone and Windows 10 laptop but not Chromebox.
Too bad because my Chromebox is a home business machine.

I just got a second AARIS Surfboard Cable Modem & Wi-Fi Router for my 724 sf one bedroom condo. Built-in Wi-Fi router powerful enough to get the job done.
Easy to set up using Android app on Pixel 3XL phone.
May take a little time for your ISP to recognize and activate the device but I got email stating I was good to go.
Also use the device in a 2 story 2500 sf house with Wi-Fi mesh routers (nodes) with no issues.
Saving $12 p/mo for modem (gateway) ISP rentals (x2) in both properties.
Have never paid for a modem (gateway) routers from my ISP. Why should I ?

Daughter opened today, Christmas morning, and this Acer R11 has same problem a few of the others have had according to reviews..., repeatedly turns off and on. Just my luck. Talk about a disappointed daughter! Geez. I'm a little upset to say the least. I hope exchange goes smoothly tomorrow, if there is another in stock that is.

I have owned two Chromebooks prior to the R11. I am familiar with the Chrome OS ecosystem, what it has to offer, and where it falls short.

BUILD QUALITY (3/5):
The build quality of the R11 is average, at best. It has a patterned aluminum cover/lid, but it doesn’t make the device feel any bit premium, and I wouldn’t count on it providing any additional protection to the display. The unit I received has misaligned hinges, which causes the device to rock a bit at certain angles—in addition to being an eyesore. That being said, I don’t feel as though it will cause any harm to the device in the long-term.

I had no issues with flipping the display 180 degrees. Typing on the keyboard was fine, but I personally felt as though the keys could have had less resistance or bit more vertical displacement. I had to press harder on these compared to other keyboards I’ve tried on Chromebooks around this price range.
DISPLAY (3/5):
The 11.6” display runs at 1366x768—resulting in 135 ppi (pixels-per-inch). Comparatively, a 13.3” display at 1920x1080 results in 165 ppi. The R11 display is adequate at this resolution—text is sharp enough to avoid complaining, and viewing images and videos is enjoyable.

That is, unless you’re trying to use it in direct sunlight. This display is quite reflective, so you won’t be using this much in direct sunlight. With a bit of shade, you’ll be fine. Indoors, the display is adequate and provides adequate brightness. The display is also quite reflective and is also a smudgy fingerprint magnet, which is why indoor use in moderate lighting conditions is ideal.
As for the touch screen, it works quite well. If anything, Chrome OS needs more refinement and more features to really utilize the touchscreen. Multi-touch worked without issue. However, modern web content isn’t really suited to touch screens, so it’s definitely a bit awkward to have a touch screen, at the moment.
PERFORMANCE (2/5):
I really can’t give this Chromebook a 3 because there are older, cheaper Chromebooks that outperform this more expensive R11. The Intel Celeron N3050 is really a bottom-bin Intel Atom, more than it is a Celeron. These fanless processors (aside from the Core M series) don’t come close to the U-series Celerons. Sure, you’ll get more battery life, but what is that worth if it’s a pain to use the device?
I really can’t give this Chromebook a 3 because there are older, cheaper Chromebooks that outperform this more expensive R11. With my bookmarks, caching, history, extensions, etc. that is associated to my Google account, this Chromebook could not handle more than a few tabs without throwing a fit. When I used Guest mode, the Chromebook performed adequately with 4 tabs—to the point where scrolling was not abysmal.
That being said, I had much better performance on a 13.3” 1080p Chromebook using the Intel Celeron N2840 and 4GB of RAM—which was the same price as the R11. Even Acer’s own C720 outperforms the R11.
BATTERY LIFE (4/5):
The battery life on this Chromebook doesn’t quite stand up to some other contenders, but with light processor usage, it shouldn’t have any problem lasting throughout the day before needing a charge. However, the idle drain is not very good. For a fanless design, you would expect low power consumption when the device is idle, but you will want to turn the device when you aren’t using it for long periods of time—otherwise you will be saying goodbye to 10-20% of your battery.
The battery life on this Chromebook doesn’t quite stand up to some other contenders, but with light processor usage, it shouldn’t have any problem lasting throughout the day before needing a charge. Once Play Store integration with Chrome OS becomes stable, these touch screens will make more sense. But until that day comes, the vision for this Chromebook is very fragmented.

Being my first Chromebook this was a brand new experience for me which made it fun to review.
Pros:
Lightweight - can use on lap without getting uncomfortable.
Good build quality - Case, hinges, keyboard felt sturdy and well built.
Pretty good battery life - not sure about the advertised 10 hours but I used in tent mode listening to music all day at work for several days (6-8 hours) and it had around 20% left.
Easy to setup - If you already have a Google account like I do all you have to do is sign in and it syncs everything up for you.
Lightweight - can use on lap without getting uncomfortable.
Good build quality - Case, hinges, keyboard felt sturdy and well built.
Pretty good battery life - not sure about the advertised 10 hours but I used in tent mode listening to music all day at work for several days (6-8 hours) and it had around 20% left.

This is a decent little 2-in-1 if you subscribe to the "cloud" OS always connected model. Great for internet surfing and light productivity work especially if you are all-in with the Google app Eco-system. Don't expect to be as productive as using a traditional laptop computer though, especially when disconnected. Also until the Play store and Android is fully integrated you might be disappointed in what apps are available.

Soundbar is really a soundbox because it's compact. Rich sound from such a small form factor.
Sub woofer not very loud but tech support said they could replace it.
Bluetooth and casting works fine. WiFi enabled but don't need it.
Still learning all the features so may provide feedback at a later date.

Mesh Wi-Fi router can cause interference

I had installed the soundbar next to a Linksys Velop Wi-Fi Mesh Router. On Pergo flooring with 9' high ceiling in a family room.
Caused all kinds of problems.
Then moved to approx. 12' away from a TP-Link wireless N router. Problems went away.
My set up is now in the living room of my condo. There is a 20' vaulted ceiling. Sound still quite amazing.
Most of the time I used the built in Chromecast feature. Have casted from a Nexus 6 phone and a Chromebox so far. Soundbar is connected to my TV with the OPT cord provided.
Had the remote replaced. Testing it now. Can say the soundbox recognizes it.
Price is on the lower end of the Polk Home Theater line. I highly recommend it. Will always some gear like it on any TV's purchased in the future.

I was very surprised at the size of this baby when I opened the box.
It has a built in sub woofer so the bass was good. Maybe that's why it's so big
Connected my Nexus 6 to the USB port to charge it.
Connected an old iPod Touch 4th gen. and it worked too.
Battery took three hours to charge out of the box. Had to try several
times to insert the US power adapter but eventually it snapped into place.

Forgot to mention there's a blue button on the control panel, for taking a hands free, mobile phone call using this speaker.
I may not be close enough to the BT speaker to use this, but it's nice to have anyway.

This is my first Roomba. Must say it's loads of fun. Did a good job cleaning the carpet in my 724 sf one bedroom condo. I say this b/c I had to clean the dust out of the bin after using it only one time. Best to use the mobile app as U can program it to clean on certain days. Also it's easier to tell the Roomba to end the job and head back to the charging base. Roomba took almost 25 minutes to clean my carpets which seemed like a long time. And I cleared away a lot of furniture and stuff on the floor before operating it. Don't think it cleaned very well underneath my bed. Maybe it will as time goes by. Also it was a bit noisy but not much more than my upright Hoover SAVVY. At this point I need more experience with it and will not let it loose if I'm not home.

Needs time to learn about UR flooring

I ran my Roomba 890 for the third time this morning. It went straight for my bedroom bed and spent a lot of time underneath it. Must have some kind of dust sensing feature for carpeting. It did, however, spend waaay too much time in the living room. Carpets there are cleaner than other areas in my condo so don't understand the logic of it.
Will keep using it until I get it figured out.

Attach the Window Mount to Circle 2 Camera and place it on any window pane to see outdoors. Watch over the front porch and driveway or overlook the backyard from indoors.

Couldn't find any info from the OEM about why it does what it does. Maybe they think mounting the camera outside is better ?
Think I read something on a blog post about reduced glare & reflections and that's why I purchased it.

I was skeptical at first when I found this book shelf mini Hi-Fi system.
Set it up in the living room of my one bedroom condo. Have high vaulted ceiling there.
Sound quality similar to the standard, factory installed, 6 speaker stereo system, in a 2005 Toyota Prius.
Bass effect could be a bit better tho.
Have some CD’s and even audio cassettes from several years back. All played fine. System couldn’t detect my old, iPod Touch 4th Gen. I was able to play a MP3 from a USB 2.0 flash drive tho.
I used to listen to FM radio a lot. Selection of stations not too good where I live. But I can get the same content I listen to, when I’m driving.
Wish the two speakers didn’t have to use wires.
Speaker and main console fit under my TV stand. Other speaker went into my old stereo system cabinet.
Nowadays I like to stream free, Google Play Music radio stations, so can make greater daily use of this system. Pandora was also fine.
If U find this system on sale @ Best Buy for $149.99 with free shipping, U are doing pretty good IMHO.
This is a Gr8, compact sized, Hi-Fi system, for those who don’t have a lot of room to work with.
And the price won’t break the bank.
