Great entry level gaming laptop that's upgradeable

This is my very first go at a pure gaming laptop. I always had gaming desktop but never tried a laptop version before...
First things first... being a gaming laptop, it is noticeably thicker than the new standards of laptop. At 1.1", it's still portable, but you can definitely see/feel the difference. Performance is very good, as I have used it to play Fortnite, PUBG and DOTA 2. The Matte finish is a plus since I am a fan of it (Less glare). With 8GB DDR4 installed (Max 32GB) and a 1TB 7200RPM HD, I would recommend upgrading to a SSD and minimum of 16GB DDR4 for optimum performance for GPU hungry gaming. The upgrades where easy to install since there are dedicated slot openings on the bottom of the laptop.
Overall, for my first gaming laptop... having the ability to take gaming mobility is a plus for my travels. The added HDMI port makings gaming over a 4K/HDTV a breeze. For the price, this is a great buy at an entry level gaming laptop. Also, just be aware that since this is a gaming laptop, you will hear fan noise, but like most pc gamers, I play with a headset so it doesn't bother me. Thanks.

Top notch soundbar!

I'm upgrading from an LG SJ7 Soundbar Flex, which is amazing for what it offers in configuration setups. But like any other techie, being able to try something new is always a good thing!
My first impressions of the SK9 was that the box it came in was huge! (W 8.25 x H 18 x L 49) took up the whole backseat of my sedan! Upon opening it reveals that the soundbar itself was the reason behind the packaging. While this is certainly an upgraded experience from the SJ7, It was well worth it for the higher end sound quality. The Dolby Atmos difference was definitely heard. It felt like the sound was traveling around me if you get what I'm trying to say...The options to change the sound quality is an added plus, while the ability to Chromecast audio from any supported Chromecast device is effortless. I have an LG 4K and the LG optical option makes sticking to the same brand all that more worth it. For the price range it is offered at, I believe it is a worthy price for what you're overall getting. Soundbars sure has come a long way. Definitely worth checking out! Great for gaming/movies too! Premium feel and excellent sound options!

I have been using the Bose QuietComfort 35 ever since it's released and love the features and sound...
So when Sony released the WH-CH700N, that's very comparable to the QC35, I was amped since I am a fan of Sony. When you first open the box you're greeted with a very premium look and feel headphone that's over the ear (which I prefer versus the on ear) since I wear glasses. With today's headphones, a app download is suggested to get the most out of the headphone (Sony Headphone Connect). The app itself offers to change the sound quality to your liking, options includes Surround effect (VPT) modes, Equalizer settings, Digital Noise Cancelling On/Off, DSEE (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) On/Off and Sound Quality Mode which prioritize sound quality or stable connection. So if you're looking for a headphone that can offer a sound quality change... this might be it for you!
The overall sound for me is pretty good, while changing the sound to my liking helps alot, I did enjoy the overall sound and feel. Battery life is very excellent as I can use this all week for 3-5 hours a day at roughly 50-60% volume and not have to charge it. Physical buttons makes it easier to use with the available Play/Pause/Next/Previous, Volume control, Digital Noise Cancelling On/Off, AUX jack (cable included to use when battery is N/A) and the Power button. As for the Digital NC, it does a good job of cancelling sound, but not completely. Outside sound won't bother you much while listening to music, but you'll slightly hear the louder noises. It is very comfortable while wearing, even with glasses, for a few hours, light that I even forget that I have it on.
Now here's the knocks on the headphone... It can connect to multiple devices (8 device max), but can only be used by one (it'll reconnect to the last device used). The QC35 connects to both devices and can be used by either or. Another one is that it didn't come with a travelling case like the QC35 did. The Sony does come with a micro usb charging cable and an AUX jack cable, but it would've been nice if a case or even a pouch was included at the price point. While it's subjective... it's not a requirement.
Overall, I do like the headphone alot and will probably use it daily going forth. While there are many options available for the over the ear headphone, I hope this helps you decide what's best for you as it did for me. Thanks.

I was always curious about going the projector route for the main entertainment source... so I did my research and found this to meet my need for my backyard entertainment setup... At first I was surprised with the specs as I did buy a $60 projector for a test run. The Home Cinema 2100 BLEW that one out of the world! ... THE WORLD!
My current test setup in the backyard is 30' from the wall to where I'll mostly mount the projector. At this range the projector beautifully displayed at 1.0x zoom, 186"!!! I had a little fun and max'd the zoom and it goes up to 300"!!! Who wouldn't want a movie theater size screen in their backyard?! I love the auto focus/len shift feature which helps when I was adjusting the projector in it's possible mount location. Please note I haven't painted a proper projector screen on the wall yet and it still looks amazing even on a dark blue grey wall...
I can't wait to have the wall properly painted and framed for the final product! Thanks.

Excellent alternative to the Google Home!

Even though I have already begun my home automation with the Amazon Echo ecosystem... I didn't hesitate to try out the Google Home ecosystem... While I didn't want to shell out the amount the Google Home device cost, this one is a great alternative for the price...
My first impression was how GREAT these sound compared to my Echo and Echo Dot... It's a good size device with good bass and treble... Voice recognition is good as it does pick up my voice while playing music at 68%. Works very well as a bluetooth speaker too!
While I am fairly new to the Google Home platform... I am not surprised that there's no Amazon Music Unlimited compatibility. It does support Google Music, Spotify and Pandora, but if you're a Amazon Music subscriber, you MIGHT want to look at the Echo's. Highly disappointed with this as I might have a change of heart when it comes to home automation devices...
Overall, if you're planning on using the Google ecosystem, this is a great budget friendly device to go with! And it's great on the eyes too! Good job Insignia.

This thermostat is perfect for the average consumer that wants smart features at the right price. With the color display, I can view information that I want to see and control it wherever I may be... For a year and a half, I have been using the Sol Republic Amps Air during work... I love the compact and comfortable design without the wires... I always been a fan of the Jaybird brand, so when they dropped the RUN True Wireless buds, you know I had to cop it.
For me, comparing the fitment of the Run to the Amps Air, the Jaybirds seems to feel heavier but sits very comfortably in the ear. It has this sucked into feel when you're applying them in. Slightly bigger but there's one key feature that I do like about the Jaybirds, one touch Siri button. It makes things alot easier when you're in a active environment. I haven't had any issues with these buds dropping out of the ears. Sound quality is good (I prefer the Sol Republic Amps Air sound quality), but there's an app where you can change the EQ to your liking.
Now, I have noticed what others have been mentioning about the connection issues... there are random times where the Jaybirds would auto connect without you noticing till you realize that you don't hear anything. Maybe it's the way they sit in the charging case. The Amps had this very issue too before I had it exchanged. All in all, this is a solid first try at truly wireless ear buds for the wireless future! :D

My daily driver was an Dell XPS 13, which I considered to be the perfect 13 inch laptop, and wasn't really sold on the convertible laptops that was available then (1 year ago). Boy has time changed! When I received the Yoga 920, I finally had a laptop other than silver and/or black... the bronze finish is soo nice!
The one thing I immediately noticed was the huge difference it was coming from an i5 to i7 processor... this thing is snappy! Overall size comparison to the XPS 13 and Yoga 920 is that the Yoga is about 20% bigger. Battery life is at par with about 8-9 hours of use before needing to charge (of course, this is based on my usage) and I do have portable battery chargers for both devices (best investments!). I will have to get used to the USB-C (Thunderbolt ports) more so than the USB 3.0 that I am accustomed too. Overall solid look and feel. The brushed aluminum touch is very niceee. I am, by far, amazed at the level of engineering it took to make the hinges for the Yoga. It sure has come a LONGGGG way. It's seamless and a beauty to the eyes at the craftsmanship of it.
If you're in the market for a excellent convertible laptop, that is surely a bang for your buck, the Yoga 920 has it. I haven't used the stylus too much, but I am glad it's included! Thanks Lenovo! :D

Before I started using this, I was very happy with the Linksys EA9300... so when I switched over to the AC3200, I was STILL very happy with the overall performance. I have a total of 22 connected devices, 2 PC & 2 PS4 given the priorities over all others devices and haven't experience a lag under Spectrum's 100MB internet. Great range, very user friendly interface, and a great looker. Thanks LInksys for ANOTHER great router.

I have been using the Shark Powered Lift-Away Speed with DuoClean for a few months now and love the suction, portability and ease of use when clean with it... So I was excited to use this lighter, slimmer version of the one I already love. More or less of what I had described the Lift-Away Speed, the slim down version is a more compact, but still maintaining same suction power the old brother has. Vacuuming is a breeze now! Thanks!
