It had been since the days of VHS when I last watched Demon Knight so I was skeptical of it holding up. I can confidently say after watching Demon Knight, it's better than I remember! There is fun to be had and gore to be appalled by. Billy Zane turns in a wonderful performance and the rest of the cast is pretty great also. If you've wondered how Demon Knight, would be after all these years, pick it up. You won't be disappointed.
Several years after his last adventure, retired fortune hunter, Nathan Drake, is forced back into the world of thieves. With the stakes much more personal, Drake embarks on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure. His greatest adventure will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he's willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves.

Uncharted 4 is a great addition to one of the best video game series of all time. Everything clicks in the campaign from the action, story, characters, and visuals. While having a great ending, I'm sad to see the series end (maybe). There are only 2 things I would say we're negative. One is there is a trophy for beating the game in under 6 hours (ruins the beauty of Uncharted). The other is no more online coop enemy wave mode. Besides that, A Thief's End ranks up there with the best of the series.

Tad the Explorer is a fun little animated film. Taking cues from Indiana Jones and other treasure hunting adventure films, there is adventure and mystery to be had. The animation is great and the 3D is pretty good. It's sad that Tad never got a wide theater release, but you should definitely check it out.

Not quite the classic I remember from my first viewing in the 90's, First Strike is still an incredibly fun film. The action set pieces are top notch and the acting, well, they tried. The film that introduced a lot of people to Jackie Chan will always remain a favorite of mine no matter how goofy it can be.

Pixels is a pleasently surprising ode to arcade games and Adam Sandler humor. If you haven't enjoyed Sandler's last half dozen movies (I haven't), give Pixels a watch and I suspect you will have fun. Josh Gad is a nice addition to the Sandler clan and thankfully the unfunny bunch are missing.
The ominous thud of an AT-AT stomping down. Rebel forces firing blasters. Imperial speeder bikes zipping by. Intense dogfights between squadrons of X-wings and TIE fighters filling the skies. Immerse yourself in the epic Star Wars battles you've always dreamed of and create new heroic moments of your own in Star Wars Battlefront

Battlefront has 2 things going for it: the visuals and Star Wars feel. Unfortunately, this isn't enough to hide it's shortcomings. There just isn't enough content to justify making Battlefront a $60 game. To make matters worse, the season pass adds on another $50. For not having a single player story, there should have been more maps available for free at launch. Eventually, the greed of game developers will catch up to them.

Ian McKellan gives a fantastic performance of an aged Sherlock Holmes who has started to lose his memory. Struggling to remember his last case and why he retired, Mr. Holmes bonds with the child of his caretaker, and forms what maybe has been missing in his life. Mr. Holmes is a rare peaceful movie nowadays that I recommend.

The Fifth Element is a fun and action packed sci-fi film. Everyone knows that. What I will talk about quickly is the new remastered Blu-Ray. Does it look great? Yes! The third time is the charm for this release as color and detail are improved over the previous versions. Should you pick it up? Depends on your display and how much you value picture quality. If you do, you won't be disappointed.

Joe Dante has had a memorable film career, but sadly nothing great lately. Although a fun film, Burying the Ex continues Dante's trend. The 3 leads all do a fine job and the setting is fun, it just never truly shines. On the Blu-Ray side, picture and audio quality are great, but no special features is a big let down. One day, I hope Dante finds and releases his new "Gremlin".

The Boxtrolls is another gem in the small collection of Studio Laika films. I would put it somewhere between Paranorman and Coraline, but they are all equally great and hard to rank. Once again, the stop motion is fantastically captured and the 3D is very strong. I look forward to their next film.
