Powerful gaming and VR laptop!

I wanted both a powerful gaming laptop to be able to play graphic intense PC games, but also wanted to be able to use with VR. Ran the Steam VR performance test out of the gate and it’s on their very high end of “VR Ready!”.
Games like Beat Saber in VR are very fluid and pop. Standby’s like Fortnight render flawlessly and are easily handled by this amazingly slim laptop.
The Predator Sense app let’s you monitor the health of the pc, measure temps of the CPU/GPU, customize lighting of the keyboard, CPU/GPU fan control with different modes (Quiet, Default, Extreme, Turbo). Turbo is also available with a quick activate button above the F1 key.
There’s also custom audio modes and the Dolby dts X sounds great.
WiFi is latest gen and it downloads games super quick. Steam downloaded in about 2-3 mins and by itself is 2GB!
If you use the laptop keyboard I did notice it got a bit warm leaving the fan settings on default - mostly on the top section of the keyboard area (the GPU is underneath that section). Kicking the fan up or putting it in “Turbo” mode helps a lot. With the fan in turbo mode the fan makes a bit more noise, but you can’t hear it if playing with a decent gaming headset or ANC headset. It’s actually much quieter than my previous gaming desktop fan wise.
Initial setup was quick and easy - took about 15-20 mins. Cortana walks you through it. Not a ton of preloaded bloat ware which I appreciate!
Has an integrated fingerprint reader on the mousepad for quick / secure login.
Overall very pleased, didn’t break the bank, and looking forward to being able to “bring the VR party” to friend’s houses!

An ideal WFH (work from home) headset!

Have used these for a few days including multiple hours of delivering customer presentations on both Zoom and Microsoft Teams. In a nutshell they work great! I really like being able to flip up the mic and it auto mutes the apps automatically.
It’s comfortable to wear, long battery life – (Wore it for a 3 hour presentation yesterday and then was on 4-5 hours of calls today and still has battery left!) Good sound quality both in the headphones and mic according to my coworkers on the other end of my meetings.
I can even make it to the coffee maker in the kitchen about 30’ away without losing connection to my pc via the provided dongle.
Only minor thing I noticed was a very faint hum in the right ear if I’m sitting in total silence with them on and not on a call/meeting. 99% of the time when I’m wearing them though is while on a call/video meeting/listening to music etc. so don’t really notice it.
Easily connected to both my PC via the dongle and Bluetooth to my phone at the same time. The dongle connector also allowed my wireless Logitech keyboard to connect so I don’t need to tie up 2 usb ports.
The PC app “Logitune” works great and lets you set your mic level and “sidetone” so that you accidently aren’t too loud, has an equalizer, let’s you customize the buttons and more. Note that there’s a phone Logitune app as well, but it doesn’t currently recognize this headset because it’s so new. I reached out to Logitech support and they said it will be added very soon.

Easy to use controls to answer a call, mute, adjust volume, etc.
I can get 30-40’ away from PC phone and still had clear audio (perfect to grab coffee while in a long meeting)
Unifying receiver/dongle works for multiple Logitech devices, not just the headset.
Cons:
Travel case is just a cloth bag vs. a hard case, so not sure how well it will protect them when I start traveling again

Impressive wireless mic! Perfect for creators.

This is a great little wireless mic! I used it with a small wireless speaker using the line output (with a standard 3.5mm audio cable - not included) and plugged in the receiver with a standard usb phone usb plug and also got it working with a USB stick battery. I also used it with my iPhone X with a usb to lightning adapter (also not included) and it worked great. Nothing else to setup, it powers the reciever and I was easily able to record video on my phone with me standing 40' away from my phone and the recorded mic audio was crystal clear.
Main lav mic runs off 2 AA's, belt clip is metal and sturdy, the lav mic is very small and light weight.
Great little gadget if you need to speak to a group without having to bring anything but a power adapter and a portable speaker with you. Or if you want to do videography, become an internet video creator, record how to videos, etc. this works perfectly. Light weight and no setup at all - it just works!

Cleanest water I’ve tasted!

I try to drink water all day and we have filtered water in the refrigerator, but I still could taste the “sediment” as our towns tap water quality is not the best. Once I started using this bottle, I immediately noticed the improvement in taste. I like that the water is being cleaned and sanitized, but it also because it tastes really good.
When my work travel resumes this bottle is coming with me – now I can have confidence the tap water I drink anywhere in the country will taste like water from a spring fed stream. Everyone that takes a sip says “Wow! It tastes so clean and refreshing!"
The instructions say you only need to charge about once a month which is great. It’s a LITTLE heavy, but I like to call it “sturdy.” I’ve even used it to purify a bottle of water then poured it into other water bottles. The purifying cycle is so fast, only 60 seconds and there is a blue ring on the lid that is lit when purifying and shuts off when finished. It also has very good insulation and a bottle of ice water will stay cold all day long.
It's a bit pricey, but worth it!

I love to pull open the curtains and blinds first thing when I get up in the morning. Unfortunately, my significant other does not. So this lamp has been a great way to come downstairs and get some instant “sunlight” to help me jump start my day.
I haven’t been using it for just strictly “light therapy” either. First thing in the AM, I turn it on and quietly check my messages from the day before and plan my day. But I have also started switching around the lamp’s arm orientation and using it all day as a task light.
And because of the flexibility of the lamp’s neck, I can position it towards me to provide better lighting for my face during the now constant Zoom meetings that require my PC camera to be turned on.
I will use it more in the winter months I’m sure, and I wish I had something like this when I lived in the northeastern US and it seemed like winter would never end.

Great work from home/travel laptop

Very sleek and clean looking laptop 2 in 1. It flips all the way over to use in tablet mode. 14” screen is a good size and keeps it fairly lightweight (about 3lbs).
It was fast and easy to set up. The Cortana assistant walks you through it via voice and you can literally just talk to it to get it set up for yourself which I thought was cool. I haven’t got a new laptop for a few years, so not sure how long that’s been available, but thought it was cool. Especially in this age of just talking to everything like digital assistants.
Performance wise – works great for regular business computing needs and video con calls etc. Core I7 processor, 16 GB of memory, and the ½ TB hard SSD drive is quick and responsive.
Graphics look great for video calls and movies, but probably not powerful enough for serious gaming (not what I got it for).
Super simple and minimal packaging - it’s amazing how small they can make the packaging now.
All around nice laptop and meets my needs.

Lightweight, comfortable, OK sound

A bit tinny – people on the other end can definitely tell you are on a headset. I couldn’t get more than 30 feet or 1 floor away from my iPhone X before it breaks up and loses connection. I was really hoping I could leave my office, go down 1 floor to get coffee while on a con call, or go down 2 flights to answer the door while on a call, etc. but not reliable enough for me to do that. (No concrete or anything either, regular drywall house.)
Unless later phones have a more advanced Bluetooth technology the distance claim seems a bit overstated at 300ft! Maybe some firmware updates will help with the distance issue.
I used it for some video calls connected through my brand new work laptop. Same results. Other people said they could hear me clearly, but a bit tinny/digital sounding.
It is lightweight and I used it for 4 back to back 1 hour con calls and still had plenty of battery power left. It was also very comfortable to wear for 4 hours straight, so that’s a definitely a big plus.
There’s a programmable button on the side, but you have to download the blue parrot app to configure and it’s only then configured for that device. I programmed it for mute, but when I switched to my PC for a call and tried to use the button it tells you to get the blue parrot app which you can't load on a pc.

Works great even on sensitive skin!

After using this for approximately 7 weeks, I can definitely say the hair in my targeted areas are definitely growing in slower. When opening the box, I was reminded of an old Remington face shaver. If you remember those, you’ll get an idea of the size. The important part is the laser window. It’s small but VERY bright.
I recommend following the test patch instructions before starting. I have sensitive skin and tested an area inside my forearm and waited 24 hours before using. After no reaction to the test I shaved the areas I wanted to remove hair from “permanently” (for me, the areas that I wanted to test were bikini line and upper lip).
You won’t need much time for just a few areas – I was literally done with upper lip and bikini in 3 minutes. I was a little scared when I first put it on my face as there are a ton of warnings about the laser, but it won’t work unless there is a good seal around the laser opening. You will feel the tiniest zap on your skin and I also recommend wearing a pair of sunglasses, especially around your face. The upper lip is a little tricky as there are contours on your face that make an exact seal difficult. The bikini line was super easy to access and because of how wiry the hair is, I can definitely tell that the hair is growing back slower and thinner. I think that’s why it takes so long to work – you have to catch the hair as it’s growing out and that varies from person to person.
Overall, I think it’s working and I plan to keep using it once a week and will extend it to my lower legs as well. So far, it’s 5 stars and I do recommend giving this little device a try!

I have small ears (and small ear canals) and generally do not like in-ear headphones. My ears fatigue quickly. But over ear headphones are bulky and smoosh down my hair too much. I bought some AirPod Pro ear buds and I really like them, but they often fall out of my ears.
The Comply foam tips have been a godsend. They are designed to fit perfectly over the AirPods - they click and everything. There is also no difference in closing the case over them. But the big differentiator is the sound and fit. First, they sound terrific and when I’m in noise cancelling mode, the ambient noise is reduced about 25-30% more than with the AirPod stock tips. Second, the AirPod stock ear tips would fall out of my ears if doing really basic things like yardwork. I did a full aerobic workout with the Comply foam tips and the only time they came out is when I removed my sweatshirt and the shirt pulled them off. The tips hung on with jumping, sideways moves and floor work. Even though my ears are small, I went with the medium so there would be no gaps and I’m happy I chose the medium.
These have totally made my AirPod experience better - both sound and fit. The only thing I would like is if they were also white or even came in fun colors.

Straightens - but better results with a flat iron

It definitely helps if you have really curly hair, but at least for my hair not as good as a flat iron (see pics.)
Followed my standard hair straightening steps of washing, applying Moroccan oil, and blow drying. I found that using the turbo setting on the straightener, which provides more heat, was more useful than the cooler settings, but still did not heat the comb enough to smooth my hair.
Since the power and turbo buttons are positioned on the handle of the comb, the grip of my hand and fingers resulted in periodically turning it off. This styling tool does seem to generate some straightening but my hair remained frizzy in the end. It does not come close to matching the straightening and smoothing capabilities of a flat iron. It might be more useful different hair types or as a touch up device. You might have better results if your hair isn't as curly as mine...

Overall a great case as long as it holds up! 1st one got a crack at the power button within 2 weeks. The plastic there is just too small/not sturdy enough and I barely used it. You almost never even use the power button because it automatically comes on and off when you open and close the case. Lots of others had this same problem. On my 2nd one - 2 weeks in (so far so good, but being really gentle with it just in case.)
Otherwise a great case. Good viewing angle, great form factor, super light so it doesn't bulk up your iPad air. Keyboard takes some getting used to and keys are in weird places, but much better for typing than the on screen keyboard. Nice slim package, lets you type better, easy access to the camera, power, and charging port. Good viewing angle. Note the only slimmer full case was the OEM Appple iPad full case which I tried 1st, but it was worthless. The only viewing angles on that one were basically flat and 90 degrees so not usuable at all. Go with this one instead and careful with the area of plastic by the power button.

A few days after I wrote this review, the 2nd case broke in the exact same spot at the power button. Again, never even used the power button as it isn't needed. Serious design flaw. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

No it is not GFCI, but most places require outdoor outlets to be on a GFCI in that circuit so should be covered by your GFCI outlets. No, it turns both plugs on/off simultaneously. Not sure on it's temperature rating. Didn't see any details on that in the manual.- only that it is IP44 rated.

No. Single sided scans and printing on this model. Check out the MFC-L3770 if you need duplex scanning and printing.

I’m confused. How/ where does it get ota channels? Is there an antenna that comes with it? Similar to the digital antenna I use now for local channels? Or does it get the local ota channels and stream to device via the internet?
If you have an OTA antenna already you will be all set. Just unscrew the OTA coax cable from your TV and connect it to the OTA AirTV adapter (included with this item.) Then it will show the locals right in the AirTV/SlingTV same guide.

Apartment use. Currently have a TimeWarner modem router and an extender in living room. parts of living room are slow and gaps. will these replace the modem router and will range be better?
I would say yes. Our speeds tripled in the areas of our home that were slower (3rd floor and basement) from 20-27mbps to 63mbps.

I have a house built in 1930 and it is 1000 sq. ft. up and 1000 sq. ft. basement. I have 2 wifi extenders because of the solid brick and plaster walls to pick up better signal in dead areas. I currently have a Netgear 55 router. Would this work better?
I would say yes based on my results. Before I installed the Orbi I ran 5 separate speed tests on my laptop in various parts of our home. (3 story house - 2700 sq. ft).
I ran tests from each floor on my existing router (TP Link WR1043ND - a 300Mbps Wireless N Gigabit Router). Speeds averaged 43.76Mbps down and 4.35Mbps upload.
After I installed the Orbi, I re-ran the same speed tests in the same locations and speeds now average 62.83Mbps down and 5.80Mbps upload. Significantly faster!
The 2 spots in the house - top floor and basement both went from 28.56Mbps and 21.72 to 64.33 and 63.46 - so much better coverage and the Orbi's base + satellite coverage now provides equal coverage thoughout the entire home.
