Logitech MX Master 3s Mouse Simply Rocks!
on June 15, 2022
Posted by: RBrylawski
I’m very experienced with the MX Master Mouse (having owned the original MX Master), which worked perfectly on Windows. I recently bought a brand-new MacBook Pro M1 Pro with the Silicon ARM Chip, and I also bought the MX Master 3 Mouse. Unfortunately, the Logitech Options software you download in order to program the mouse didn’t work with the MacBook Pro, which was a major disappointment. Until just recently, Logitech still hadn’t optimized the Intel based software for the Logitech Options App (the app you use to program functionality on the mouse) to run on the Silicone ARM technology of a MacBook Pro, so sadly, even with Logitech Technical support help, I had to return it.
To Logitech’s credit, days after returning the mouse they sent me an updated link they said would work with an MX Master 3 on a Silicon ARM Based MacBook Pro. I stored the link hoping I’d get another opportunity to use a MX Master. That day came when I got the newest MX Master 3s. So, did it work? Yes, yes it did! Using the updated Logitech Options Installer, it installed perfectly, and I was able to program the mouse to my specific needs. To say I’m a Happy Camper is an understatement.
Now that I’ve gotten the pre-story out of the way, let’s talk about this mouse. If you’ve never had the pleasure of owning a Logitech MX Master Mouse, you simply have no idea what you’re missing. It may seem odd to wax enthusiastic over a mouse, but the MX Master is worthy of such praise. And this newest MX Master 3s even more so.
It’s now even more ergonomic. It just fits your hand so perfectly. It’s made of premium plastics (recycled to save the planet) and this version doesn’t show fingerprints. They come with a battery which lasts a LONG time. A very LONG time. The new MX Master 3s can go up to 70 days on a single charge. My original MX Master lasted a long time as well, so I have every expectation the 3s will live up to what Logitech claims.
You need to go to Logitech.com and download the Logitech Options App. It is very easy to use and lets you customize so many aspects of the mouse. You can change the pointer speed. You can Program the second scroll wheel on the side of the mouse. I use it as volume up and down. You have two buttons underneath the second scroll wheel, which I have programmed as forward and back. And there’s yet another button where your thumb rests, which I’ve set up for Universal Control. You can choose from many other options to suit your workflow.
The primary scroll wheel is magical. There’s the traditional mouse click we’re all used to. And a tap of the button behind the wheel, releases what Logitech calls Magspeed. The wheel is magnetic and has no, none, zip friction. You can scroll faster than you’ve ever scrolled before. And the scroll wheel also can be clicked and programmed for a number of functions. I have mine programmed to zoom, which is very cool.
The mouse can be paired with up to three different devices and all you need to do is tap the pairing button on the bottom of the mouse to switch between paired devices. This mouse can scan up to 8000 DPI, for ultra-smooth and accurate scrolling. The mouse can connect with Windows, Chrome, Linux, iPadOS , Android and MacOS. And if you don’t have Bluetooth, it does come with a USB Receiver. One of the best upgrades over previous MX Master Mice is how unbelievably quiet the 3s is. You can’t hear the wheels scroll. More importantly, you can’t hear the right or left mouse clicks. How refreshing to have a mouse which does so much, yet so incredibly quiet.
If you haven’t gathered from what I’ve written, I’m quite enamored with the Logitech MX Master 3s. They took everything that was already good in previous MX Master Mice and improved it significantly. And now, I’m able to use it on a MacBook Pro M1 Pro Silicon ARM Based laptop. Is it worth the price of admission? Yes, yes it is. Just get one. You simply won’t regret it.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 are AMAZING
on May 13, 2022
Posted by: RBrylawski
from Tampa, FL
I’ll open this by saying these are hands down the BEST earbuds I’ve ever owned and trust me, I’ve owned a lot of earbuds. I am a huge fan of Sennheiser, who makes products which accurately represent what was recorded. Their headphones sound more natural, the way the artists actually-sounded during recording.
I was extremely anxious to get my hands and ears on the newest Momentum True Wireless 3. Now that I’ve listened to them extensively over the last few days, have my lofty expectations been met? Definitely. Is there anything that needs to be improved? Yes, but my nits are minor and not enough to mar the excellent experience.
The True Wireless 3 have a new design, which is slightly smaller and more-square over the previous round design. The charging case is slightly smaller. They come with more options to fit your ears, from different sized ear tips to small-rubberized ear fins in various sizes to help ensure they won’t fall out of your ears. They also come with an enhanced noise cancellation (Sennheiser calls it Adaptive Noise Cancellation) and a redesigned App, with more options to customize the sound to your precise liking. They now feature 3 microphones on each earbud for enhanced vocals for phone calls. And after making several phone calls, calls were excellent as far as I'm concerned.
When you get your earbuds, they come nicely packaged with everything you need, including a USB C charging cord. If you use Qi standard wireless charging for your cell phone, these are fully wireless charge capable. You get the before mentioned, ear tips and fins. I really like the size and tweed like fabric on the charging case. It appears to be very durable and the benefit for people like me who HATE fingerprints is you won’t get fingerprints. Nice. And the earbuds when inside the case are REALLY inside the case. You can turn the case upside down and shake as hard as you can, and the earbuds will stay firmly in place. Do as recommended and try the different ear tips and ear fins. They came preloaded with medium ear tips and medium ear fins. For me, the best ear tip was large, and the best earfin was medium.
Connecting the True Wireless 3 to your cell phone is easy. When you get the earbuds, you need to charge them for a few minutes at least. A full charge can take up to 1.5 hours. Then download the Sennheiser Smart Control App from either the Apple App Store on iPhone or the Google Play Store on Android. To pair them, the directions provided suggest you need to hold your fingers on each earbud for three seconds, then open Bluetooth settings on your phone and look for Momentum TW 3. Mine however, immediately opened to pairing mode. Tap them in the Bluetooth list and boom, you are paired. Now, open the Smart Control App and pair them there as well to start customizing the earbuds to your personal preferences. Do create an account with Sennheiser, as it opens extra options to you. Once you’re connected, you have loads of options to customize features and sound. You can program how you want to use the touch-interface on each earbud (I didn’t personally feel the need to program them differently than how they came set up out of the box), to using the built-in equalizer, to running a sound test to measure how your ears would work best with the earbuds. You can also program different equalizations for differing musical options and choose them when appropriate based on what you’re listening to. It all works so well and seamlessly.
In terms of Codec, the True Wireless 3 come equipped to support SBC, AAC and aptX and aptX Adaptive. Unfortunately, Apple only supports AAC (not that AAC is bad), but I wish they supported aptX. Frequency response is an extremely broad 5hz to 21,000hz. Impressive, to say the least. These earbuds are Bluetooth 5.2. Bluetooth 5.2 is the latest Bluetooth-Standard and its advantages include better range (I walked all throughout my house and never lost the connection), better connectivity, such as multi-device. However, Sennheiser hasn’t implemented Multipoint Connectivity on these earbuds – Yet. I have paired my True Wireless 3 with my iPhone and iPad, but you can’t go seamlessly from one device to the other.
So, what’s the deal with the newer enhanced Adaptive Noise Cancellation.? To be honest, I don’t buy headphones for Noise Cancellation as a major feature. Half the time, I don’t use Noise Cancellation in any of my other headphones with ANC. Often, noise cancellation alters the sonic stage a Bit. So, I was curious to see how what Sennheiser’s Adaptive Noise Cancellation works in these earbuds. And I was honestly pleasantly surprised. The soundstage on these True Wireless 3 was barely altered. And with the options for total Noise Cancellation to Transparency to Anti-Wind, they all performed exceptionally well. Sennsheiser says it’s Adaptive, and it is. Depending on the ambient noise in the listening environment, it can be minimal to nearly total noise reduction and it works surprisingly well.
Battery life as a significant selling feature is an area where I’m confused with most wireless earbuds. To me, you need enough battery life to not be inconvenienced. To that end, I think battery life on the True Wireless 3 is, for my needs more than enough. You can listen to music for up to 7 hours continuously on a single charge (not that I can confirm this as I can honestly say I’ve NEVER in my life listened to anything for 7 straight hours) and the charging case offers an additional 21 hours of charge, for a total available charge of 28 hours. Is that the longest available charge you can get today? No. But honestly, under what situations would anyone need more? I don’t, that’s for sure.
The True Wireless 3 are IPX4 rated. That means they are water resistant (not completely waterproof) and can withstand outdoor use with some rain or gym use with sweating. Don’t submerge them in water. But in light rain, you’ll be just fine.
Let’s face it. No matter how cool looking or comfortable (and with the various sized tips and ear fins, they are VERY comfortable) or easy to operate earbuds are, nothing is more important than how they sound. And on that note, these are truly Sennheiser characteristically natural and extremely fantastically balanced sounding earbuds. they aren’t overly bright. They aren’t overly base-heavy. Not that you can’t change the equalization yourself if you want more bass or more treble. But I wouldn’t honestly suggest doing that. Without any EQ, they sound great. And I’ve put these through lots of different music genres. I listened to Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, a recording with live cannons and the cannons came through with just the right amount of low-end oomph, without rattling my ears. Camille Saint-Sans Organ Symphony was thrilling when the organ comes in in the last movement. I listened to a lot of vocals with instrumental backgrounds and the human voice came through up front where it belonged, with a very natural sound and yet, the instruments behind the vocalist, balanced and articulate. Queen’s “Somebody to Love” was perfect and really let Freddie Mercury’s genius shine. From Lady Gaga to Abba to Adiemus, there wasn’t anything I threw at these puppies that didn’t sound fantastic.
I mentioned, I had a couple nits. They aren’t show-stoppers, but they are things Sennheiser could and should address. One is the True Wireless 3 is not Multipoint capable. Earbuds in this price range and league, should be able to connect to more than one device at the same time, but you can’t. They also don’t offer any Find My options to track them if they are lost or worse stolen. Lesser earbuds offer this. While I’m here, some may say that $249 is expensive in today’s world, where there are loads of less expensive, but decent options. I don’t think they’re overpriced at all. In fact, they are actually less expensive than the model they’re replacing yet they offer more bang for the buck.
So, there you have it. These are premium earbuds, which sound terrific, are very comfortable to wear for hours on end and compare quite favorably with earbuds from other high-end manufacturers, some costing considerably more. Sennheiser is a German company, which has been in the audio business since 1945. They’ve more than learned a thing or two about sonics and I count myself very lucky to own two of their best wireless headphones. Yes, I do!

The Perfect Dual USB C Fast Charging Wall Charger
on November 25, 2021
Posted by: RBrylawski
from Tampa, FL
Ever since I discovering Anker a couple years ago, I've built quite the collection of Anker charging plugs and cables. This Dual USB C 40W plug solved an issue, where I needed to charge two new Apple Watch Series 7 with the newer USB C cables each needing a 20W charger for fast charging. I only had the space for one charging plug. And since it's Anker, I knew in advance it would do what I needed perfectly.
This USB C charger offers high speed charging, universal compatibility, is compact and as are all Anker products, is certified safe and uses Anker's MultiProtect safety system to ensure anything plugged in is safe and fully protected.
Anker products come with a 12-month parts and labor warranty, not that I think you'll ever need to try that out. I've NEVER had a single issue with anything I've gotten from Anker.
There really isn't much else to say other than when you find a brand which makes consistently exceptional product's engineered to charge our electronics, it's a no-brainer to continue using them over and over.

Simply Awesome HP Printer
on October 27, 2021
Posted by: RBrylawski
from Tampa, FL
This is hands down, the most expensive printer I’ve ever owned. And that is one of its virtues. If you’re like me, over the years, you’ve been through too many printers. And the one thing they all have in common is those little, all too expensive, never seem to last long, printer cartridges we all spend too much money on and never seem to have on hand when we need one.
Enter the HP Smart Tank, 7300 Printer. This thing is a beast and that’s a compliment. This is the newest generation of printers, which uses reservoirs to hold large amounts of ink, which is beyond easy to fill and is supposed to last up to two years without needing to be refilled. And that my friends is if you typically print moderate to high volumes. Now I haven’t had this long enough to know, but I imagine the ink will last longer if you’re not a volume printer. HP suggests this printer is rated to print from 400 – 800 pages per month. That’s pretty high volume for a home printer. You should be able to print 8,000 color or 6,000 black pages using the Original HP ink which is included with the printer.
I’d like to start with giving major KUDOS to HP on the simple, I mean utterly SIMPLE set up process for this printer. Truth be told, we’ve been all in with HP for some time. We have two HP Spectre laptops and we’ve used HP Printers for years and have been extremely happy with them all. If you have great success with a product line, it just makes sense to stick with what works.
Having never owned a printer of this type, I was honestly dreading the setup. But all you do is unpack the printer. Remove some tape here, some cardboard there and plug her in. Since we’ve already been using HP Printers, we already had the HP Smart app on both laptops and all iPhone’s and iPads. But that’s the next step after you plug into power.
The HP Smart application literally walks you through the next steps with easy to understand (you honestly can’t mess this up) graphics. You connect to Wifi which HP says is Self-Healing, meaning network problems are resolved without the need for you to get involved. Then you empty the bottles of ink (which you can’t drip or make a mess with if your tried) and then install the Print Heads. That was the only part I missed as there is an orange assembly which looks important where the print heads go. And I missed that you simply remove, and discard said orange assembly and then install the print heads with ease. The printer springs into action, prints a test page, which you then scan to align the print heads and you’re done. I mean YOU’RE DONE. As I mentioned, they simply couldn’t make it any easier if they tried.
Now for the boring stuff, but necessary information. This puppy Prints, Scans, Copies, has an Automatic Document Feeder and of course is fully wireless. You can print up to 9 pages per minute, which is far more than any home printer I’ve ever owned. With up to 1200 x 1200 rendered DPI in black and 4800 x 1200 optimized DPI in color, there’s really nothing this printer can’t print well and in high clarity. I’ve printed lots of test pages and everything printed perfectly. It’s duplex printing capable as well.
The HP 7301 is AirPrint (Apple iPhone/iPad), Mopria certified (which means it meets the Mopria Alliance standards offering a simple seamless way to print or scan to any certified multi-function printer or scanner), Android Print, Direct Print and you can print or scan using the HP Smart App which as mentioned you need to download to your computer and smart devices.
Other boring, but you might want to know information is you can print up to 30 envelopes, do borderless printing, legal, Government Legal, Executive and photo printing. You can also print 99 copies at a time. Suffice to say, if you have a printing, copying, scanning need, I can’t imagine there’s anything this printer can’t do for you.
In case you can’t tell, I’m simply awed by this HP Smart Tank 7301 printer. It’s great looking. It can’t honestly be easier to get her up and running. And it’s incredibly versatile, provides high volume printing and with the two years worth of ink in this printer you won’t find yourself not being able to print on a lesser printer because you didn't know your print cartridge was getting low, and you didn’t have one on hand. Printing doesn’t get better or easier for the money than this. No it doesn’t.

It's Great And You Can Cook A Lot Of Food In It!
on September 19, 2021
Posted by: RBrylawski
from Tampa, FL
Over the years, we’ve had a few too many Air Fryers. While they all mostly do the same thing for the most part, most have disappointed, simply because they don’t have the ability to hold much food. Enter Sensio Bella Pro 9 QT Flex Basket Touchscreen Air Fryer. This puppy has the room. For it’s inaugural first-time use, we cooked, four chicken thighs, 4 chicken wings and 4 chicken legs, all at the same time. All came out perfectly cooked, delicious, moist and crispy on the out outside. I can already tell this Sensio Air Fryer and us are going to become very good friends. Good Friends indeed!
So how it is to use? Simple. So simple, you barely need to read the little owners-manual supplied with the machine. It has a powerful 1700-watt system, which cooked everything in the basket to perfection. Though it did take a bit longer, since we had the basket filled to the brim. Had we cooked fewer items, it would have taken less time.
This Air Fryer has what they call TriZone cooking technology. Translation? You have two crisping trays, which you can use with a divider to permit cooking on one side at one temperature and the other side at a different temperature. You simply plug the Sensio in and tap the power button. You can then choose sync to only have to program temperature and time for both sides the same. Or Dual Mode, for different foods on each side of the crisping trays. It’s utterly simple and intuitive. It syncs cook times in each basket so both foods can finish cooking at the same time. Nice!
There are six customizable programs to choose from, which include Air Fry, Broil, Bake, Roast, Reheat and Dehydrate. That’s a lot of flexibility. We loved the crisping trays. They are made of PFOA-free non-stick materials, which were easier to clean than any metal crisping tray we’ve used in previous Air Fryers.
To be honest, there really isn’t anything about this Sensio Bella Pro 9 QT Flex Basket Touchscreen Air Fryer we would change. The dinner we enjoyed tonight (see photos) was cooked perfectly and was beyond easy to make. This isn’t our first Bella product. It won’t be our last either. They keep releasing intelligently designed, easy to use and well-built appliances for the kitchen that making cooking dinner easy and fun!

Sonicare Meets Smart Phone Technology
on May 9, 2021
Posted by: RBrylawski
from Tampa, FL
I’ve been a Philips Sonicare user for more years than I can remember. This is the toothbrush system my dentist recommends. Before Sonicare, my dental checkups used to be tortuous because I have a lot of plaque buildup. Since I switched to Sonicare, my hygienist never has to scrape my teeth like when I only used a manual toothbrush.
Having just gotten this newest Sonicare 9900 Prestige, Rechargeable Toothbrush with SenseIQ, I have to say it’s an amazing system. Do you really need an app monitored toothbrush? Probably not. But if you want the best dental cleaning experience plus having your teeth brushing monitored, the Sonicare 9900 does it and more.
With the 9900, Philips suggests this toothbrush will remove up to 20 times more plaque and your gums will be 15 times healthier in a few short weeks. That alone is worth investing in a good Sonicare toothbrushing system.
To get started, simply download the Philips Sonicare App from the App Store on either iPhone or Android and turn the toothbrush on. The app will recognize the toothbrush and connect your toothbrush via Bluetooth. Once you are connected, you can choose the order of the six pre-timed spacer zones (which buzz and alert you when it’s time to move the toothbrush to a different zone in your mouth). You can also program the toothbrush for zones which may need special attention like gum health. If you don’t own a smart phone and can’t use the app, you can change settings directly on the toothbrush by holding the power button for several seconds. But then if you don’t own a smart phone, you likely don’t need to buy a toothbrush which benefits from using a smart phone app.
It’s already preprogrammed at the highest intensity brushing for 2 minutes. But through the app, you can adjust the settings to White+, Gum Health, Deep Clean, Sensitive and it even can alert you if you are using too much pressure by lighting up the bottom of the toothbrush handle. Finally, the app can even send an update to the toothbrush handle. Mine came with the latest software version. My, how things in toothbrush technology have changed!
The toothbrush head on the Sonicare 9900 Prestige uses a Premium All-in One brush head with BrushSync Technology. It has a special symbol on the head and A3 to let you know it’s the right brush head for this system. BrushSync means, the toothbrush head communicates with handle using a microchip, it monitors brushing as well as when it’s time to replace the brush head. Since this is such a new system, replacement heads will need to be ordered directly from Philips. Maybe in the future there will be other buying options.
For traveling, the system comes with a very-nice compact travel case with a USB connector (standard USB A to USB C), covered in a stylish “vegan” friendly leather. You simply put the toothbrush in the travel case and plug the USB cable into the end of the case and the supplied charging brick to charge the toothbrush. This makes it simpler than having to carry the charging base the toothbrush sits in on with you. While the travel case is compact, it would have been nice if it was slightly larger and included a place to store the USB cable and charging brick.
Comparing this newest Sonicare to my previous Sonicare, it has the same solid feel in hand, yet its sleeker. It is a bit louder at the highest intensity. I do think my teeth feel cleaner though, so I’ll take louder for cleaner teeth. My previous Sonicare had what was called Quad-Spacer, which divided your mouth into 4 zones. This newer design has 6 zones (side/front/side top and bottom). I’m not sure why I need 6 zones as opposed to 4, but I’m adjusting.
If you have never experienced a Sonicare Toothbrush, you don’t know what you’re missing. I’ve entrusted Sonicare to care for my teeth for years and I know my teeth are cleaner, my gums are healthier, and my dental bills reduced. I’d like to keep all of my teeth as long as possible, so while not inexpensive, this system is well worth the price of admission if you want the absolute best there is. Do you have to spend this much for an electric toothbrush? No, of course not. If your budget doesn’t permit this highest end Sonicare, their other systems are excellent as well. And with years of using their toothbrushes, I simply cannot recommend them enough!

The Precision Rechargeable Hair Trimmer You Need
on March 4, 2021
Posted by: RBrylawski

I am lucky to own the Trifecta of metal Conair Trimmers. I have the Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer, the corded High-Performance Hair Clippers and this, the Conair Rechargeable Hair Trimmer. This is not a hair clipper. Its a precision hair trimmer, especially great for accurate trimming of hair lines and facial hair like mustache and beard. All are clad in metal. All are super high quality, have powerful motors and go about doing their thing with great precision.
This rechargeable Hair Trimmer is powered by a long lasting Lithium Ion battery. Its housed in a premium metal housing which feels great in hand. It has self-sharpening etched stainless-steel blades. Translation: It cuts perfectly, far better and neater than any hair trimmer I’ve ever used that's for sure! It comes with a hair trimming blade, a nose trimmer attachment, 3 different jaw line combs and a 5 position adjustable comb. Fully charged it provides at least a full hour run time (though I haven’t actually tested that for real). It certainly stayed on for the length of time I used it without any hint of running out of power.
In today’s all too plastic, disposable world, its refreshing to see products like these from Conair. They built trimming products of high-quality metal housings, with powerful motors inside, with precision blades, providing precision hair trimming options which should last the test of time.

The Best Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer - Like EVER
on March 4, 2021

from Tampa, FL
Nose and ear hair trimmers are not exactly exciting things. Sure they’re useful. And unlike using scissors, they won’t cut you (much). We’ve actually had nose trimmers which did nick the inside of my nose. And most of the nose trimmers we’ve bought died all too quickly. So, when I say the Conair, Metal High Performance Nose and Ear Trimmers are exciting, that’s saying something.
I honestly can’t count how many nose trimmers we’ve owned over the years. Suffice to say, they all died fairly quickly. We’ve had plug in trimmers, rechargeable trimmers and battery trimmers. The Conair trimmers use one AA battery. The battery will need to be replaced, but the trimmers should last a long time.
This puppy is so simple to use. Just take the protective cover off, rotate the base to on. Its powerful, quiet, comfortable, well-built and simply works better than any nose and ear hair trimmer we’ve had.
The Conair trimmers are part of their new Premium Metal collection of trimmers. They just feel great in your hand but aren’t heavy at all. The trimmers have a very unique 3 bevel blade system, which uses patent pending technology. Whatever they did however was create the smoothest, most effective nose and ear hair trimmer I have EVER used. Like EVER.

High-Quality Metal Hair Clippers
on March 4, 2021

We haven’t stepped foot in a hair salon for years now as we’ve gotten very good at cutting hair at home. In the age of Covid, having good clippers is important. Enter the Conair, Metal Series High Performance Hair Clipper. This is corded, not rechargeable battery and it’s got a very high-quality feel and does a great job cutting hair. I love how its metal and not cheap feeling plastic like most other hair clippers.
You get premium Japanese Steel Blades with a locking taper control, so you can better control the cut. Included are 8 guide comb attachments, barber scissors, a blade guard (to protect the steel blades when not in use), a storage pouch, lubricating oil and a hair removal brush.
We’ve owned a lot of semi-professional clippers over the years and this is hands down the best we’ve had. The clipper is very quiet yet has a powerful high-torque motor. In particular, the design is very ergonomic, and it feels great in hand. In comparison to other clippers we’ve owned, even made of metal, it’s lighter weight. After the first use, it cut our hair perfectly even at a uniform height and it just felt very professional. It’s simple to use and change the guide attachments, well made, powerful, sleek, attractive and should provide excellent service for a long time to come.
If there was one thing, I would change is it should come with a tray to keep everything laid out in. Instead, it comes with a bag. Otherwise, this is a truly excellent clipper set, which is miles above the average Drug Store clippers you can buy.

Gorgeous Grill - Cooks Great - Difficult to Build
on December 27, 2020
Posted by: RBrylawski
from Tampa, FL
This Everdure by Heston Blumental – FORCE Gas grill is a work of grilling art. It’s beautiful. It’s really well made of high-quality parts. It cooks amazingly well. I’m confident we’ll enjoy great food prepared on this grill for years to come. Did I mention how beautiful it is?
Here are my thoughts on what is great about this grill:
The grill comes in two large boxes. One box with the grill and grill cover already attached and the other box contains everything else. The grill portion is already put together. The Venturi (fancy-dancy word for the gas burners) is already installed as are the two electronic ignition igniters. This is the one part of the assembly I really appreciated. Read below however, for my thoughts on the rest of the assembly.
The grill cooks great. Amazingly GREAT. We’ve had some nice grills in our time, but this is a standout. It should though at this price point. It heats up quickly. It cooks fast. When you first start using the grill, you should keep an eye on the built-in thermometer and the food. If you’ve used lesser grills, this will cook your food faster. It has 22,000 BTU (British Thermal Units) and I don’t know what they did with these BTU’s but man oh man are they efficient. And it features electronic ignition, so you’ll never have to replace a battery and spark plug on this puppy, like other grills use.
You have 381 square inches of cooking area and the grates are made of vitreous enamel cast iron. This makes them easy to clean after grilling and unlike lesser grills, should last a lot longer too.
You have a fold down, side shelf, but it doesn’t hold much. It took me a while to figure out how to raise and lower it, but once you figure out you slide it towards you and then up or down, it’s easy.
There are two rubber ribbed shelves under the grill, which you can store lots of things on and since the grill comes with a high-quality grill cover, they won’t fly away in wind or rain. The grill cover, like the rest of the grill reeks of quality. It’s not a cheap thin plastic cover and should hold up to the elements quite well. It also has Velcro ties on two sides to tighten it to the grill more snugly.
The grill stand legs are aluminum and two of the legs have industrial grade wheels, so you move the grill around easily when you want to cook and roll it right back when you’re done.
If you prefer, you can use the grill as a table-top grill and just not attach it to the legs or shelves.
Now, what didn’t I like:
I’m actually jealous of the reviewer who suggested they put it together in an hour. If only we were that lucky.
The instruction manual is in a word, awful. I read it over and over and over and still did not get it. I will admit we are not the handiest people, but I may as well have been reading a manual written in Greek. The bolts and washers come in one plastic bag. Some are silver. Some are black. Yes, the instruction manual assigns a part number and size, but not a part number or size I could figure out. And while they say how many of each bolt you should have the numbers didn’t equal what we had as they threw in extras. It took trial and error and some logic to guess a black bolt and washer must attach to a black part and a silver bolt and washer must attach to a silver part. These parts should be packaged in individual packets, clearly marked as to what they are for.
The first step says to install the handle. So far so good, right? It goes downhill from there. Step #2 says (quote): “The hood and barbeque chassis assembly is transported screwed to the stand top by four M6x0.8in (20mm) screws and four 00.2in (6mm) flat washers (two at the front and two at the rear). Before attempting to build the stand, the stand top should be removed.” OK, what? First of all, the stand top is NOT attached to the stand bottom. So, a good 30 minutes was wasted trying to decipher this gibberish before it finally dawned on us this step didn’t require doing anything to begin with.

Step #11 in the manual is all about a part called a Match Holder, which has 4 different pieces. We didn’t get this Match Holder, and nowhere in the manual does it actually explain what said Match Holder is or does. I had to reach out to Everdure to find out its not included in US models and it is not a part needed to operate the grill anyway. The manual should have said something simple like, Not Included in US Models. Another 30 minutes was wasted trying to find the parts in all the packing materials which by this time were broken down in large trash bags. Make note of this if you buy this grill so you don’t go crazy looking for a part you’re not supposed to get nor evidently need.
Honestly, if you’re not handy like us, you might want to pay someone else to put it together for you. I wish we had. It would have made for a much less frustrating afternoon.
Otherwise, it took us more than 2 hours (still not a lot of time, I know) to build the grill. And with the build process out of the way, the grill itself is honestly fantastic. It started right up the first time and it cooks better than any grill we’ve ever owned. I guess the old saying no pain no gain applies. It may have been painful building it. But in the end, we have a grill which is a work of art, exceptionally well made and should provide years of grilling happiness.
Note: This is a 5 Star Grill. I’m taking a star off because of how difficult it was to build.

Does the semi-open buds stop occlusion?

YES. Not only are they more comfortable for lengthy listening sessions AND occlusion is a thing of the past. You don't hear your footsteps when you walk and you don't sound like you're in a tunnel when you talk.

Do these headphones come with a fiber optic cable

No, if you want to connect them via digital optical cable, you'll have to buy one. I bought one, but couldn't get them to work via the optical cable, so I used the RCA to headphone jack, which worked just fine.
