This is my first time using a Chromebook, it is a nice change from my usual Windows offerings. I have just one issue, which for me was enough to deduct one star. The keyboard. It's layout is just not good. I am typing this review on the Chromebook, and the number of times I had to correct spelling is just not acceptable. It is just too small for such a 15" device, and it makes typing very awkward.
But that is my only issue, otherwise this is a great device. My initial thinking was this is a consumption device, movies, surfing the web, music, etc. So i thought I'd put it to the test. I used only the Chromebook for my workday yesterday, and it was up to the task. I was able to complete my reports, schedule appts, and submit my work all from the Chromebook. It is a worthy competitor to the Windows laptop I currently use. I need MS Word and MS Excel, and they both performed like I had hoped on the Chromebook. Moving from task to task was very snappy, no lag or hiccups at all. Unfortunately with the typing issue I am having with the keyboard, some of the work was a bit slow and tedious. But I'm hoping that with time I will get used to the keyboard and this will become a non issue. For now it is a bit of an issue and I have to rate it based on that.
As far as everything else I tried, the Chromebook was up to the task. I used it to watch NFL Sunday ticket and the games were clear, crisp and no lagging issues. I don't recall one time where this machine did not keep up with the action. The speakers are OK, but not great, but this was no problem, I just connected a Bluetooth speaker and had awesome sound.
Surfing the web was nice, folded over it is a giant tablet and makes the internet big and bold. I downloaded all my favorite Google Play apps and most that I've tried all work just great. 32 GB of storage seems a bit small, but with the option of adding a micro SD card, this again is not an issue.
Overall I really like this device, I'd really like to give it 4.5 stars, but this is not possible. For me this will be a strictly consumption device, because it does it so well. I absolutely give this a high recommendation and anyone looking for a Chromebook will be hard pressed to find a better option that the Acer Chromebook 15.

Affordable quality home printer

The opportunity to get a quality home laser printer was just what I was looking for. When the chance came I just couldn’t pass it up. I’ve wanted a laser printer for a long time but the cost was just too prohibitive. The Brother solved that. Setup was a breeze, it took just a few minutes and I was printing high quality documents. I have a high resolution map of the Golden Chain Highway I like to test print. This gives me a good example of the quality output of my printers. The Brother did not disappoint, it produced the best quality print of any home printer I’ve tried. The prints are fast and communication from my devices are fast as well. I printed from my laptop, iPad and my iPhone. All the devices found the printer right away with no issues.
The only possible issue I was concerned about is the cost of cartridges. The cartridges are around $70 and it takes 4 of them, that is $280 about the same cost as the printer. I don’t know how many pages can be printed but time will tell.
As of now, this printer is exactly what I had hoped it would be and I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality home laser printer.

Good power, but some issues

If you are looking for a no frillls vacuum, this would be a satisfactory choice. But there are some issues that make it not the right choice for me. First, assembly is easy, just two screws, snap a couple pieces into place and you are ready to go to work. There are three accessories that come with this vacuum, a turbo head, a brush tool, and a crevice tool. And here are where the issues with this vacuum begin. The brush and turbo head have a place onboard the vacuum, but the crevice tool, although it has a place, does not fit in the designated place. You can see this in the photos included with this review. The second issue with this vacuum is the turbo head. I connected it to the hose to vacuum my couch, and as soon as I make contact with the upholstery the small roller inside quits spinning. It only worked one of my easy chairs. I have two dogs and was hoping this would work for me, but it is just a disappointment. The last real issue I have with this vacuum is the lack of lights. Every other vacuum I tested has onboard lighting which is a real big plus, this has none.
As far as power goes, it is very good, but it is a no frills upright vacuum. There are better choices that give you so much more at a similar price. The one thing that I do like, is the Fabreeze filter. It is scented and gives the room a nice fresh smell as you vacuum. Overall it is a decent upright vacuum, but there are better choices, so for me this just does not make the grade.

One of the best, if not the best...

I was looking forward to getting this vacuum to see how it compared to the vacuum I currently use. Well let me say, it met and exceeded all my expectations. This unit is lighter and seems to be a bit more powerful than the unit I currently use. First off, set up is easy, no tools required, just snap into place and you are on your way. Second it comes with a crevice tool with brush, and an upholstery tool. Both have a place on the back of the unit. I love the lift away abilities of this vacuum. I use it for vacuuming the stairs and it works well. You can also remove the wand and get to those hard to reach places with just a touch of a button.
Now all of that is great, but how well does it pick up? Well my wife has one of those competitors you see owner advertised on TV, and she says the DuoClean is more powerful and picks up things the competitor leaves behind. But for me, I vacuumed the whole house with the competitor, then went over it with the DuoClean. I filled the container twice with the DuoClean picking up what was left behind. That is an incredible amount of power in an affordable vacuum.
This is my second DuoClean and I would never use anything else, nothing else compares. My wife's EXPENSIVE rollerball vacuum is relegated to the closet and the Shark DuoClean is our vacuum of choice. One more quick item before closing. I have two dogs who love to shed and the DuoClean picks up pet hair like a magnet.
I highly recommend the Shark DuoClean im confident if you do you will never go back to underpowered vacuums again.

Very Nice Little Scanner

Of the two scanners I have at home this has become my go to scanner. Why? It is compact, efficient, and delivers a very nice scan for me. A couple of things which may or may not work for everybody are, this is a USB only connection, no included set up software, and no USB normally included. I did however receive the proper cable for testing purposes, but for me this would be a deal breaker, and absolutely should be included. Especially since it requires a USB 3.0 micro cable which is not one that most people have lying around. You do have to go online to download the software, and the download instructions are included with the unit. One issue I had, which was very strange. I was having trouble installing the software, I kept getting a message that it could not be installed. After several attempts I finally gave up, and shut the window. Then, there was the software on my desktop, so I'm not certain what the issue was, but the software did install even though I kept getting a message that it did not. Not really sure what was going on there. But something to be aware if you are getting an install error.
Now, as for the software, it is very easy to set up and use. I was able to start scanning and sending the documents to the folders I needed easily. The huge plus for me is the business card scanning slot. I am a Property Inspector and gather a lot of business cards throughout the course of my travels. With the ADS-1200 it makes keeping and sorting them a snap. I have thrown away my big binder and now have every one of the cards Ive collected in one convenient folder. And yes, the ADS-1200 will scan both sides of the cards, nice! I am in the process of scanning all my work documents and will soon store everything on a large USB thumb drive and a portable hard drive. So far I'm very pleased with this scanner and will continue to use it daily. I would recommend it if, you don't need wireless connectivity, you don't mind purchasing a seperate USB cable, and you don't mind the fact that you will need to go online to get the needed software. For me these were non issues, for others it may be an issue. So I'm giving it 5 stars and a high recommendation.

Good with a couple of issues

After a few days of using the Panasonic Baby monitor, I have to say that I really like it, but there are a couple of issues that really became bothersome. The motion detection is very good but it picks up on even the slightest motion, that I found my self constantly clicking OK to stop the alert. It became such an issue I finally turned it off completely, which really defeats the purpose of this great monitor. There is also temperature and sound detection available, which I also turned off. They are adjustable, but I have yet to find one that works for me. Just because it is too much for me, does not mean that others will find it to be an issue.
As for the camera and monitor, they are terrific. The monitor is bright and the resolution is pretty good for what it is. The camera can be controlled and moved at the monitor which is a very neat feature and makes scanning around your baby's room a breeze.
Anyway a very good monitor and camera that have very sensitive alerts. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who needs a great baby monitor.

The Elgato Mini Stream Deck is a nice addition to my current workstation. So far it delivers as expected. I was looking for a way to streamline my workflow and this little deck is just the ticket.
The setup was not too bad, I just downloaded the software and then did some online searching and everything I needed was available to get up and running.
My needs are mostly business based, so i set up folders for easy webaccess to my clients portals. Everything is as easy as a touch of a button and you are there.
I do plan in the future to stream content, but the short time I have used this there is just not enough time to use it to its fullest potential.
But in the few days Ive used it I really like it and would recommend it.

Comfortable and responsive.

Ive been using the Logitech wireless gaming mouse for several days now and really like it so far. It is very comfortable to use, no fatigue and very responsive. It is easy to set to your preferences and can be customized to suit just about anyone. I use for gaming and for everyday computing which it is perfect for. Once I got it set up correctly it has been a perfect for me.
When it first arrived I was a bit dissapointed in the included documentation, it really wasnt all that helpful, but the inofrmation is easliy obtained online and at the Logitech site. When it frst arrived I charged it for about two hours. I actually ahd to leave it so I dont know how long it actually took to charge. But I have been using it daily for 4 days and it is still charged and going strong. I havent had it long enough to know how long the charge will last in real world testing. I never turn off my mouse so I may not get as much run time as those who do. Id like to come back and update after the first recharge. My son who is a nonstop gamer has used this and absolutely loves it, even better that the expensive big brand wired mouse.
There appearr to be no lag that I can tell and the buttons are very responsive for me. Overall I like this mouse and would recommend it to anyone looking for a wireless mouse.

I got these Jaybird X4 wireless headphones specifically for using under my helmet while riding my motorcycle. The last pair I had were great but had a measly 3 hour battery life, and I am on my bike many days for 6-8 hours and needed something with more battery life. So far the only negative is these have a proprietary charging cable, so you cannot use USB-C or Micro USB if you happen to lose or leave the charger behind. But this is not enough to take away from my overall rating.
These charged up for the first time fairly quickly, 2 hrs I believe, so not to bad. My bike is fairly quiet and I use a full face helmet, the sound levels on the Jaybirds are very good and I can easily hear the music, podcasts or whatever Im listening to over the wind, road and engine noise. The quality of sound is very good as well. I'm always amazed at how much sound quality can come out of these small earbuds. Rich bass, nicely defined mid tones, and clear, crisp high tones are what I am getting out of these earbuds. The biggest positive for me has been how comfortable these are even under my helmet. I can have these in for several hours and no soreness at all. I also like the fact that every Jaybird product Ive owned so far has a very nice carry case, huge plus. Sometimes these little details make a huge difference. I certainly they are listening and continue with this, it makes my travels so much easier. I just toss in the charging cable and the extra buds and I have everything I need in a nice small easy to carry package, Thank you for that!
If I had one small complaint it would be no noise cancelling, but I understand they were never advertised that way and noise cancelling adds $$ to the overall cost. As I said earlier, the sound is so good and the volume levels are so good that Noise cancelling is just a luxury, and takes nothing away from these earbuds.
Lastly, there is an app that you can download giving you some added control over the sound, and I'd recommend using the app. You have a decent EQ that you can set custom profiles for different types of music. I have 15 profiles set up which is probably overkill, but I like the fact that I can do this and I use all of them. There are also several preset profiles for every genre of music and you can try and save any of them to your custom EQ profiles. This is a well thought out and useful app, unlike some others Ive tried.
Overall these are fantastic earbuds and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for wireless BT earbuds.

Very Good portable Speaker

The Megaboom 3 portable speaker, made by LG is a nice addition to any ones sound collection. I was a bit skeptical at first, but after a few days of using this speaker I'm convinced. It is a very good speaker. I planned to use this speaker with my Bluetooth capable TV, so most of the listening I did with this speaker was with my TV. First, as with almost everything Bluetooth these days, connecting to the source was a breeze, no issues. Second, the sound quality is terrific. This speaker filled my Livingroom with incredible sound. I spent most of the day last Saturday watching college football and the speaker really delivered. There were so many times during the day that I had to stop and look where the speaker was because the sound was so room filling it felt many times that the sound was coming from in front of me instead of the back where the speaker was located. But in order to really get a feel for the quality of sound you must listen to music. Am a diehard 1980's heavy metal fan and really cranked up the volume of this speaker. The sound was excellent, for its size it can really fill a room with rich sounds. Quality bass, nice mid tones, and clear crisp high tones were consistent with this speaker at almost every level of volume. There was some minor distortion at the highest levels of volume, but nothing to significant, and realistically I am not going to have this speaker at the max levels anyway. So really, no issues for me and I imagine most others as well. Battery life seems to be close to or at the advertised 20 hours. I only charged this once and still have about a quarter of the battery life available. The only thing about this speaker I do not like is the + and - buttons on the front, they just don't look good to me. But this is a personal preference and does not take away at all from the overall quality of this speaker. Five stars and a high recommendation from me on this one. The quality you get from the price on this make it a no brainier for those who want affordable quality.

This review only applies to all DSLR users that plans to transition over to the Sony A-series. I bought this camera and returned it the next day. DO NOT buy this camera. It looks good on paper until you've actually tried it. PERIOD!
Pros: price package <$1000 with 2 kit lenses. It has WIFI and NFC capabilities. It is portable and cheap battery availability. Fair pictures and can be compared to point and shoot camera qualities :). The low light quality is fair. If you are a landscape lover - you'll get away with the kit lenses. You can charge the batt via USB connection.
Cons: you'll end up spending more money on the adapter in order for you to use your old lenses or buy buy new e mount lenses. The pictures looks very soft and can't zoom to crop - picture quality is is horrible for a mirrorless camera. A Nikon D3200 can do a lot better job in general (trust me- I did a comparison - wit kit lense). All false claims of fast moving auto focus and fake 24.3 mega pixels. The camera over heats for a period of long usage - and short batt life.

With your assessment of the Sony a6000. Anyone who says the picture quality is comparable to Point & Shoot cameras has never used this camera. First, the Sony sensor is much better than even the best P&S cameras. Second if you are getting poor quality photos from this camera, the problem is not the camera, but most likely a lack of operator experience and knowledge. Photos are razor sharp, and auto focus is one of the best I've used.
I was a Nikon user, DSLR/SLR, for many years and can say from experience that almost nothing the reviewer states is accurate. The Sony system is incredible and I could not be happier that I switched from Nikon.

I received this last week and have had about 6 days to use it. The system arrived well packaged and easy to get out and set up.
Set up took just a few minutes, batteries came fully charged from factory, nice. Package consisted of 2 cameras, 2 batteries, 2 domed mounts, charging cable, charger, base station and quick start instructions. Pairing the cameras with base station was quick and no issues.
I mounted the cameras, downloaded the required app, and was up and running.
Then the problems started, one camera continually disconnected from base station. This required climbing up to where it was mounted and take it down and re-pair it with base station. After the 3rd time I connected NetGear customer service. They emailed me with possible solutions which I tried but did not work. Within 5 minutes the camera had lost connection again. This camera was located about 25 ft from base station, so I ended up moving it closer to base station where it has stayed connected. This is not a good solution because the cameras are now too close together and cannot provide coverage to my entire front of house. I found these cameras lose connection if they are further than 15 feet from base station. This is impractical if you are looking for good coverage of an average house.
The other issue is battery life, I'm only getting about 3-4 days of use before a recharge is needed. Now cameras are mounted near roof which requires me to have to climb to the roof every 3-4 days to recharge.
In conclusion, the system is not reliable enough, will not provide adequate coverage, and battery life is not good enough to be a viable home security camera system.
When the system is working it does what it is designed to do. It just is not reliable enough for me to recommend. Customer service is also a bit slow, and combined with the poor camera system this is not recommended.

Just minutes after posting this review the second camera disconnected from the base station again. At this point I am going to remove the system from my house. It is just not worth the hassle anymore.

I love this Camera and I got the Kit with Sony Bag and Extra Lens 55-210 Zoom , I sold my D5300 Nikon, and this camera blows it away, and with the Sony Play Memories Apps you can get for it, I was able to do Time Lapses that move! Pan, Zoom etc.., and All kinds of other nifty programs you can buy, like Star Trails, Fun! and the Pictures blow my mind! The Kit Lens is Just Awesome, don't let people tell you that they just think every kit lens sucks, go on Facebook and look up the sony A6000 group, over 11,000 members and see their pictures with kit lens, just amazing, most popular Camera out there I believe.. Mirrorless! is the way to go, glad i did not invest in Nikon lenses, but you can buy and adapter and use other brand lenses with this camera!!

Yes there are 3 threaded holes on the bottom of the projector for ceiling mounting. There is also a remote included with it.

Hi, I really want to use this camera for portraits of friends, as well as capturing scenery and buildings. Will this camera be dynamic enough to photograph all beautifully?
It has been for me, the aps-c sensor captures more than enough information for the shooting you want to do. The a6000 Flickr group has many examples of the capabilities of this terrific camera.
