Good portable pack for Apple watch
on May 16, 2019
Posted by: niteryder

I received the Belkin portable charging pack for the Apple Watch and have used it for the past two days. It is a nice portable alternative to taking yet another charger and AC adapter with you when you travel. First off the pack is fairly compact measuring about 3"X1.5"X1/2", making it easy to pack and go. Second it is real easy to use, charge it, press the power button, set watch on it and you are charging.
Included in the packaging is the charger pack, a Micro USB charging cable, and the usual information guide, no instructions, but really not needed.
I had two things I was concerned with, one will it charge the watch while the power pack is being charged, yes it does. And second, I noticed that when the watch gets to 100% the charger shuts off. Now if you leave the watch on for say, several hours after the watch is charged to 100%, will it top off the watch. I have found no evidence of that, and have found nothing on Belkin's site either. I do not believe it is an issue, just something I was wondering about.
I like the convenience and would certainly recommend this to anyone.

I am always looking for a storage solution for my many photos. Ive tried several, with some good experiences, but when Ibi came along I thought I should give it a try.
So far so good, with no complaints. The unit itself is small, which is good, leaves a nice small footprint. Set up is simple, plug it in, download the app, create an account, connect to home wifi, and you are ready to go.
So far I have only used this to store pictures from my phone, and it has been just fine. Upload times seem to be fairly quick, and there are no issues that I had getting my photos uploaded.
You can create folders and send links to others so that they can have access to the photos you want them to see. I am no real organized, so simple folders are just fine with me.
I would say if you are looking for a storage solution, give Ibi a try, it works for me.

Pretty good so far

Been using the JBuds since yesterday, so far I really like them. They are very lightweight, the band that goes around the back of your neck is pliable and comfortable, unlike some of the hard plastic ones. They are very comfortable in my ears and have a good sound quality.
As with most Bluetooth devices, set up is very simple and pairing was very fast with my iPhone. The buds came with an instruction quick start guide, three sizes of rubber earbuds, USB cable and a decal. Charging was fast, I plugged them in and two hours later when I checked on them they were fully charged.
Battery life is rated at 8 hours and from what I can tell that is probably just about right. I fell asleep with these on last night and 7 hours later they were still going.
Sound quality seems good for these buds. There are three EQ settings you can change by quick pressing the volume up and down buttons at the same time. One thing I did discover that is not in the quick start guide, is that the music must be playing in order to adjust the EQ. I tried several times before playing music to change the EQ, but nothing happened until I started the music. This is just an FYI, and its probably the best way to adjust the EQ anyway.
My go to test for sound quality and volume is to put them on under my helmet and go for a ride on my motorcycle. These buds are plenty loud at freeway speeds, and the sound quality is good for earbuds at this price range. The highs and mid tones are nice and clear, and the bass is decent. For an everyday set of Bluetooth ear buds these are very good and I would certainly recommend them.

Print quality is not very Good
on April 24, 2019

Ive had a chance to run two packages of Zink paper through this camera and have been dissapointed with the results. When I first got the camera I was looking forward to shooting random grab shots to put into a small photo book. But after using the camera and going through 20 prints, I have yet to find one that is acceptable enough to put into the photo book.
At first I though that maybe more light would be better, but even outdoors in full sunlight, the colors are washed out and focus is hit and miss.
The camera itself is not bad, it is what you would expect from a $60 camera. No many features but really what would be expected from a camera in this price range. The camera charged quickly and was easy to load the Zink pack. It seems fairly well built and actually feels pretty good in the hand. You can put a micro SD card to save photos, but these pictures are as bad as the prints. You can change the picture size from 2x3 to 2x2, if you want, but I'm not sure why you would, the prints are already small. There is a view finder, flash and a selfie mirror on the front, but these are it for added features.
If you are looking for this size prints, I'd probably stay away from this camera and look for one of the many available 2x3 printers out there.

Very Nice TV

This is my second Hisense TV, this one is my favorite of the two. I also have another brand smart TV which I really liked until I got this one. I am not a tech expert so I am just going to discuss what I like about this TV.
First off set up was easy, as it should be. Now this is my first Android Smart TV and I have to say I am impressed. I was able to easily get all my content viewable just by signing into my Google account. All my saved movies and TV shows, and all my Google Play music was there and instantly accessible. After getting this portion set up I plugged in my Fire Stick and connected my Direct TV box and again I was instantly watching that content.
Next, the picture and sound. The picture is really nice, deep rich colors and no issues with watching sports, smooth streaming. The sound is good but not great. I tried several of the available settings and was able to get pretty decent sound but not the deep bass and clear high tones. But this was easily remidied with an external speaker and the sound was awesome.
I would highly recommend this TV for anyone who is looking for a big screen at an affordable price. I am very happy with this unit.

Very Good, no issues

I used this to upload some vacation photos I took in Tombstone AZ, and it worked flawlessly. I was able to take all the photos from my Nikon D7200 SD card and download them to the SanDisk USB drive with no issues.
I took several photos and sent them to the USB Drive, around 5GB of photos, this is around 242 pictures.
I downloaded the Flashback app to my PC and when I plugged in the drive all the photos were backed up to the Flashback cloud. This worked great with no troubles at all. The Flashback cloud included a year subscription at no cost, so this is a great benefit and a fantastic way to try out the product.
I can think of no negatives and would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a solution to back up photos to a cloud based storage.

Marshall Means Music!
on March 13, 2019
Posted by: niteryder

And this speaker rocks! I'll just start by saying, yes, get this speaker, you will love it. Ive had a couple of days to use this speaker for many different genres of music, and have been very pleased with the performance. I have owned and use a few of the big name Bluetooth speakers, but this Marshall by far blows them all away.
First off, this is not a portable speaker, it is heavy and has no carry handle or strap. Second, it has to be plugged in to an AC outlet to function, there is no rechargeable battery. The design is classic Marshall, looks like a Marshall Guitar Amp and will add class to any room you put it in.
The speaker has very cool red LED lights at the top controls where the volume, Bass and Treble knobs are. Also at the top is a play/pause button, the power switch, and a mode button for Bluetooth RCA connections or an Aux cord. It is a very nice brushed aluminum gold colored top panel. The AUX cord plugs in at the top and the RCA inputs are in the back.
How does it perform? AWESOME that how. The Bass is deep and booming. I have this in my office and turned it up to about 6 and played some Van Halen "Unchained" and it was shaking my window. I could feel the bass, it is incredible. The highs and mid tones are clean, rich and powerful. This is way too much sound for a small room like my office, it deserves to be played in a large room full of your friends and just rocking out. This is a pricey speaker at almost $500, but in this case you will get your money's worth and more.
I highly recommend this speaker to anyone who is looking for a great home speaker.

Too many weaknesses
on March 10, 2019

I’m using this Xperia on T-Mobile, I just put my SIM card in and was up and running in short order. The phone is a tall slim bodied device and feels good in the hand. That where the positives end.
The Xperia is an underpowered, mid range affordable, device. I used this phone for 3 days and that was enough. First and foremost, the camera is just awful. In bright light, like outdoors it is ok, in low light, this is a very poor performer. Way too much pixelation. I took a picture of my dogs brown coat indoors, mid afternoon, and it was bad. The brown coat had red, green and yellow pixels that were just horrible. At 100% crop, just a colorful mess. The second issue, is the screen response, it is almost unusable. About 50% of the time it is fine, the other 50%, it takes 4-5 tries to get any response. This is not acceptable on a new device in 2019. Bluetooth connectivity is frustrating. I tried connecting to my wireless earbuds, a Bluetooth speaker and my car. Each time it took way too long to establish a connection. The earbuds took 3 tries to connect, the speaker took at least 5 minutes to connect. Each time the phone did not recognize the speaker, finally after the last time it connected, but this should be much quicker with today’s technology. Lastly it took several minutes to connect with my car. After connecting and trusting the device, I thought all was good. Well it was not, I had to re-pair twice, and once paired it was fine, until the next time I got into the car. It would not connect, just searching and searching but no connection. Finally I got fed up with it and switched back to my regular phone.
The Sony Xperia is just not worth the frustration, look elsewhere, there are much better Android devices available.

Wat too much Fun!

I’ve had a couple of days to use the rover now. My biggest issue has been the weather, all the rain we’ve had, has caused the rivers to swell and the lakes to be fairly murky. But a minor inconvenience only, this has really been a blast.
The first thing I did was to download the app and watch the available videos, I’d recommend anyone who gets this rover to do the same. Once I watched all the videos and read through the sparse included documentation I was ready to go. It took a couple of hours to fully charge up, and for me a good 40 minutes to set this up for use. I assume after a few times out this should get easier.
One issue I had, and I assume others have the same issue as well. There really needs to be an included way to control the cable connecting to the rover. I’m looking for a way to reel this thing back in once it is gliding through the water. But I’ve seen a few ideas online and will try some out. This really should be one of the included accessories. Having said that, this is a blast to use and I cant take any stars away because of it. Everything else you need and more are included. I tried using my phone and then the included VR headset. I prefer the phone screen, but the VR is very cool, and I think works well. Controlling the rover takes some practice, but after a while it became much easier. It’s kind of like learning to use the controller of a remote controlled car or plane, it just takes some practice.
One thing i want to mention, is the fantastic carry case. This case is a quality case and makes transporting the PowerRay a breeze.
If you are a photographer or just want to search for what lies below, this rover is the way to go. I plan to take the rover to areas where I know people have lost loads of belongings and search for treasure. I am going to Hawaii, Maui to be exact, in June and will be lugging this along for some incredible South Pacific underwater photo/Videography.
I can’t wait for the weather to clear up here at home and the water to become a bit more clear so I can get out and start some exploring!
This unit is not cheap, but if it is within your budget, I’d recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Very Good, just what I expected

I have been wanting a dash cam for some time now. When the opportunity for the Rexing cam came along I was pretty happy. The camera did not disappoint. First off installation is easy and will take about 25-30 minutes. There are videos available to show you what you need to know to get up an running. The camera itself was very easy to set up and only took just a few minutes. The package includes everything you need to get going, including an SD card.
Once I got this installed I took it for a ride. The screen is bright and easy to see during the day and gives you a nice wide front view. Night time was the one concern that I had, but this was quickly put at ease, the Rexing performed admirably. I've been hit twice in the past 3 years and both times the other party did not take responsibility, this Rexing should be just the ticket to alleviate that issue. Hopefully I'll not need it again, but if I do its a great piece of mind knowing the Rexing will have my back. I recommend, and think every driver should be using a dash cam.

Real consumer review!!! Read this and learn...
By Breaker11
This review only applies to all DSLR users that plans to transition over to the Sony A-series. I bought this camera and returned it the next day. DO NOT buy this camera. It looks good on paper until you've actually tried it. PERIOD!
Pros: price package <$1000 with 2 kit lenses. It has WIFI and NFC capabilities. It is portable and cheap battery availability. Fair pictures and can be compared to point and shoot camera qualities :). The low light quality is fair. If you are a landscape lover - you'll get away with the kit lenses. You can charge the batt via USB connection.
Cons: you'll end up spending more money on the adapter in order for you to use your old lenses or buy buy new e mount lenses. The pictures looks very soft and can't zoom to crop - picture quality is is horrible for a mirrorless camera. A Nikon D3200 can do a lot better job in general (trust me- I did a comparison - wit kit lense). All false claims of fast moving auto focus and fake 24.3 mega pixels. The camera over heats for a period of long usage - and short batt life.

I could not disagree more
October 28, 2016
With your assessment of the Sony a6000. Anyone who says the picture quality is comparable to Point & Shoot cameras has never used this camera. First, the Sony sensor is much better than even the best P&S cameras. Second if you are getting poor quality photos from this camera, the problem is not the camera, but most likely a lack of operator experience and knowledge. Photos are razor sharp, and auto focus is one of the best I've used.
I was a Nikon user, DSLR/SLR, for many years and can say from experience that almost nothing the reviewer states is accurate. The Sony system is incredible and I could not be happier that I switched from Nikon.

Not ready for Home security
By niteryder from Fresno, CA
I received this last week and have had about 6 days to use it. The system arrived well packaged and easy to get out and set up.
Set up took just a few minutes, batteries came fully charged from factory, nice. Package consisted of 2 cameras, 2 batteries, 2 domed mounts, charging cable, charger, base station and quick start instructions. Pairing the cameras with base station was quick and no issues.
I mounted the cameras, downloaded the required app, and was up and running.
Then the problems started, one camera continually disconnected from base station. This required climbing up to where it was mounted and take it down and re-pair it with base station. After the 3rd time I connected NetGear customer service. They emailed me with possible solutions which I tried but did not work. Within 5 minutes the camera had lost connection again. This camera was located about 25 ft from base station, so I ended up moving it closer to base station where it has stayed connected. This is not a good solution because the cameras are now too close together and cannot provide coverage to my entire front of house. I found these cameras lose connection if they are further than 15 feet from base station. This is impractical if you are looking for good coverage of an average house.
The other issue is battery life, I'm only getting about 3-4 days of use before a recharge is needed. Now cameras are mounted near roof which requires me to have to climb to the roof every 3-4 days to recharge.
In conclusion, the system is not reliable enough, will not provide adequate coverage, and battery life is not good enough to be a viable home security camera system.
When the system is working it does what it is designed to do. It just is not reliable enough for me to recommend. Customer service is also a bit slow, and combined with the poor camera system this is not recommended.

I sold my Nikon D5300 for this..and no Regrets
By Flashoser from Cadott, WI
I love this Camera and I got the Kit with Sony Bag and Extra Lens 55-210 Zoom , I sold my D5300 Nikon, and this camera blows it away, and with the Sony Play Memories Apps you can get for it, I was able to do Time Lapses that move! Pan, Zoom etc.., and All kinds of other nifty programs you can buy, like Star Trails, Fun! and the Pictures blow my mind! The Kit Lens is Just Awesome, don't let people tell you that they just think every kit lens sucks, go on Facebook and look up the sony A6000 group, over 11,000 members and see their pictures with kit lens, just amazing, most popular Camera out there I believe.. Mirrorless! is the way to go, glad i did not invest in Nikon lenses, but you can buy and adapter and use other brand lenses with this camera!!

There seems to be some complaints about the frame sliding off the neck and the buds coming out, is this common?

I use mine under my motorcycle helmet and I put them in just before I go to bed. Not once have the frame even felt like it may be coming apart. I tend to thrash around a lot when I sleep, if they can stand up to that, I'm confident they can handle just about anything.
