Not the best on the market but no slouch

I was really excited to try out a new wireless headset from Turtle Beach as I’ve always been impressed with their products. This one is a solid headset for the price with a few caveats. Firstly the earphones are a little stiff, they may loosen as I use them more but my initial reaction was a bit rigid. The sound quality is really stellar though the “superhuman” hearing function seemed to push the limits of the treble end of the sound quality. The real quarrel I had with these was the mic. It’s hot. Like HOT. It has a function for active monitoring of your own input which is nice so you’re not yelling into the mic. But unfortunately it’s so sensitive that it picks up every click and movement of my controller. I asked the people I was playing with if they could also here it (because with the monitoring it became unbearably annoying) they too could hear everything going on in my room. That was a big problem and forced me to resort to another set of headphones after an hour of play. I like these I really do. The battery life is amazing and lasts long even when not plugged in. But that mic made these headphones something I may have to adjust to. Otherwise they seem to be a solid choice in their price point.

This wireless multi-charger is a must have for any Apple enthusiast. Quick and convenient, it’s one place for me to put all my stuff and know it’s going to charge properly. This stand mixer has a lot going for it. It’s a breeze to use out of the box, and has a sufficient power to mix everything from cake batter to bread and pizza dough. I love the fact that it’s sturdy with extra options for future accessory purchases. It sure makes a wonderful addition to my kitchen appliances!

This is a powerhouse of a soundbar. Don’t let its size fool you. At about 1/3 less size than other bars, and without a separate subwoofer, the bass is thick and satisfying and the treble is clean and clear. The ability to turn on the dialogue option that boosts the highs for better clarity of voices in times where movies may have them a little muddled is nice and not jarring. Controls are simple and hookup is a breeze. I guess if there’s one complaint I may have it’s that there’s supposed to be a function that allows the soundbar to automatically turn on when sound is identified but I haven’t figured that out yet. It’s certainly not a deal breaker and it has to be one of the best sound bars I’ve had to date!

This product initially caught my eye for its fashion-forward design and apparent usefulness as a dual product. However after using it for a time a few glaring errors stood out to me. The remote is shoddy at best. The buttons seemed to be unresponsive at times and the range was lackluster. The light it produced was nice and warm and the color changing aspect was a nice touch when you could get it to work. What was really bad was the speaker quality. For the size of the product, it’s lack of bass was a huge negative in my book. Especially since this was being touted as a splash resistant outdoor/poolside speaker. It hardly could carry the weight of even the most mild mannered top 40 tunes. The battery life is ok for the amount of light it throws but combine that with the music and it’s not fit for a party or anything close to a get together. I’d stay away from this product if you’re looking to get something that you will use to entertain.

The first thing that jumped out at me about this television was that the menu system was clunky and lagged a great deal. It also requires you to sign up for a Samsung account to do practically anything on the television. Samsung did not do a very good job at making this television easy to use. It has lackluster user interface and lacks the quality of customization of picture. The Game mode used for video game systems automatically turns itself on and off when detecting a console and while this may be good for some I find it to be a little controlling. That being said it has good picture quality when taking the source from a higher end service. (Hulu not so much but Disney+ was phenomenal) the colors are bright and pop and I noticed minimal picture quality lag. Some shadows on lower end streaming services can be an annoyance and the overall brightness is underwhelming unless you have a dark room. The sound quality on this television is better than some higher end models I’ve encountered. Overall this television is good but not great. Be prepared to be frustrated by the clunky menu and need for a Samsung account to use it.

This mic has a lot to offer in such a small package. It’s made for use with both PC/Mac and IOS. It’s quick to connect and offer clear and loud recordings with little to no interference. A very slight hum can be heard but that’s to be expected from a mic that isn’t independently powered. When using it through an iOS device it does well, though you will need a pair of wired headphones for monitoring otherwise you will come across a delay in the sound. I guess my only complaint is that you may want to invest in some type of carrying case or padded bag because the microphone doesn’t come with anything to transport it in. Considering it’s seemingly made to be portable this lack of carrying case seems counterintuitive.

The Go is a fantastic chromebook. I’ll start there. The screen is crisp and movies and videos pop. Some might not like the letterbox-esque display but I didn’t find anything really wrong with a slightly larger top and bottom bezel. The speakers on the sides are awesome for being so small and give a great stereo sound. It runs cool and quick (thanks to the SSD) and one of my few complaints is that it’s only 64GB. I was able to pop this thing open on my scant lunch 1/2 hr and get right to surfing or working without having to wait forever to load up like a traditional laptop. It is a little heavy for its size but I think that’s because it’s made of metal as opposed to a lot of cheaper made chromebooks that use plastic. I didn’t want to like Chrome OS but found myself drawn to its ease of use. The touchscreen was responsive and intuitive. It’s not a 2-in-1 or a tablet style computer but it still felt natural to touch the screen when I wanted to do something specific without using the trackpad. Altogether I think this is a great computer but the price is a little on the steep side considering alternatives out there being closer to the 2-3 hundred dollar mark. However you are paying for an actual Google product and not a 3rd party user of the Chrome OS. So keep that in mind that it is native to its company.

I expected good things when first opening the very impressive packaging for these headphones. Sadly there isn’t much that wow’d me about them. Spending a bit of time at the gym with them I found that while they may be water resistant, the sweat would make the ear cups slippery and the weight of the overall set would cause the headphones to slip on my head. They come with a weird rope “tightened” that is supposed to help secure them to your head for a better fit but for the life of me I could not tell the difference regardless of whether I tightened them or not. The sound quality was ok but lacked low end and the external bypass mic for having conversations while listening to music sounded robotic and hard to make out without turning the music almost all the way down. The touch gestures were a nice addition so I wasn’t fiddling with buttons and the battery did last my entire workout and into the rest of the day (during my commute and while lounging at home). I think they’re not a bad set of headphones but I don’t think I’d consider them the best on the market in their price range.

The case is a good fit for an everyday use situation. While the packaging states that it’s rated for a 10ft drop I did test some short drops onto a table (no more than 3 feet) and found it protected well with no dents or scratches, but did not test its full capabilities. Color and size are good being that it’s not too bulky and doesn’t hinder the profile of the phone too much. I did notice that the material is kinda slippery compared to the Speck case I had on the phone previously (see pics) this cause some slippage in handling but not so much as to render it useless. I did notice one abnormality in the fit on the phone where the volume buttons were the case kind of pulls away leaving a gap. It’s small but noticeable. (See pic) other than that the case is decent middle of the road case for anyone looking to protect their phone without using a super bulky ultra protective case.

Now that the series S is announced will these work for the series S as well?
I would like to say with certainty that yes they will. The fact that they mention the series X is merely to afford you the piece of mind that they are somewhat future proof.

Does this include wireless Bluetooth connection?
It does have Bluetooth and connecting things like mice and such is only a couple taps and a few seconds of waiting!

Does this Chromebook come with stable android apps ? Can you get to facebook, words with friendss etc.?
It does facilitate the google play store and runs very much like a tablet. The apps are mostly quick and responsive. Some of the higher work load ones tend to be just a hair laggy but for the most part it’s a nice efficient laptop.

One picture shows a stylus but text does not mention it. Does the stylus come standard with it, and, if so, does the stylus have its own stow away slot?
Why yes it does come with its own stylus! Which was a real treat (having purchased other computers that said they did and then didn’t) it’s non capacitive which means you don’t need a battery for it. (Another bonus)

The store itself is pre installed. In fact that is where most of the apps for this computer will come from, I just downloaded Minecraft. It’s awesome.

Can it handle editing software
I’m not sure what kind of editing software you are referencing but in my experience in music production and some graphic arts I found that overall celeron processors are not the work horse of the serious artist. This computer is mainly about portability and entertainment. It will run games and movies but if you are looking for something that will have the processing capabilities of a pro, I would recommend something with a Core i5 or better.
