Interesting retelling, good film quality

The Blu-ray edition is a good copy with excellent video and audio, close to but not reference quality. Found a good price, otherwise would have waited to get is on sell later. The story is an interesting retelling of the classic story, but falls short in a couple of places. This is more of an action film instead of horror. If you like action/horror or specifically Dracula films, it is good for the library. Otherwise, rent it instead.

The movie itself was a blast (pun intended). I was a little leery on the story line, but of course went to see it on the big screen first, so knew it was a great movie and that I would be adding it to the library.
This is a reference blu-ray movie for both video and audio, as well as a reference 3D movie (which are hard to come by). A nice set of extras, including the gag reel. Total extras are about 40 minutes worth, most of which not available on DVD version. All in all, I am very happy to say the pre-order approached paid off for this one.

Meets all expectations

The card itself is great, and with prices continuing to fall I generally only buy 32GB or larger cards now. The speed is Class 10/UHS-1 which I now consider my minimum (although will pick up some Class 6 or 8 cards for older equipment). This card has worked in a couple of high speed cameras and camcorders, although I have not tested in any 4K video recording.
Of course the best part was this card was part of Black Friday/Cyber access pricing. And, Best Buy does not discount memory cards as often as some competitors, so that was a welcome surprise.

Interesting twist combining two casts

For the franchise, it is one of the better films of the series, and the twist of combing the cast from both time periods worked much better than I expected. Well worth adding to the movie library.
While short of demo quality audio (MA 7.1) and video, they are excellent on both accounts. You feel fully submersed in the movie with the rich video and well implemented surround sound. Extras (all in HD) are also nicely packaged: gag reel, galleries, deleted scenes, and a number of featurettes. Although I didn't test it, there is a second screen app for iOS and Androids.

The plot: "A devout student must prove the existence of God or he will fail his college philosophy course." It's a refreshing change to have a series of religious mainstream movies released over the past year. Was surprised to hear that Kevin Sobro was in the lead role for this movie. This movie is well put together and worth viewing, whether or not you are a Christian.
Video is very good and has a 1.78 aspect ratio, so fits HD screens well. Sound is decent, but could be better for a Blu-ray release (is only Dolby Digital 5.1, not HD). However, the multiple contemporary Christian tracks come through well, and there are a couple of bonus music videos in the extras. If you didn't catch it in the movies, it is well worth purchasing and watching.

Decent addition to library, appeals to book fans

Blu-ray edition is good. Video and audio are both above average, but are not demo quality. The extra features are good and in HD. The temporary tattoos are an interesting addition. Didn't read the books, wife and daughters did. My view is that the movie itself is good, but ending is setup for next. Wife likes movie better than I.
Have now watched several times (theater, on cruise, home), while I do recommend the movie, I would also recommend potentially waiting until future sequels are filmed and get the discounted combo pack. Bought the Steelbook on pre-order sale, while nice, special cases generally not worth price differential.

Well worth the wait, must have for movie library

Better than the first. Didn't see it in the theater, waited to view it at home (better set-up and no distractions). Well worth the wait for Blu-ray. Full range sound and separation for 7.1 system. Low end great, but not overpowering. 2D video is demo worthy (have not viewed 3D). Action throughout (and 136 minutes worth), but good character development. Great to see a superhero without "special" powers and they treat it in several unique ways. Stay till credits fully end. Purchased the steel case on pro-order sale, which is very nice, but without additional features, cases in general are not worth price differentials (especially over bonus content).

Highly recommended classic

A classic back-stabber of a movie. There's a reason it set records for 14 Oscar nominations, and 6 Academy Awards (including Best Picture). The Blu-ray edition presents a great B&W picture transfer, and further upgrade than the DVD version. The 5.1 audio is very good, although remember this is from an original mono sound track (which is also included). There is some hiss in the quiet sections. There are plenty of extras, well above average in number and quality, but all appear to be standard definition.
The movie may not appeal to all, but it is very well written and superbly acted. I would highly recommend the Blu-ray version of this movie. Especially since I was able to add it to the library while on sale. Highly recommended.

Worthy addition to the library

I finally picked this movie up on sale and am happy that it's in my library. There shouldn't be any need to review the movie as it is a classic romance (chick-flick). The Blu-ray edition is very nice, the HD video is well above average bordering on an excellent transfer, especially for the age of the movie. The audio is also very good, but remember it wasn't designed for a surround sound when filmed, but they did a good job with the music score in the surround. The extras are good, but most all appear to be in SD format.

The movie itself is about average, but in general I would say below average for a Schwarzenegger movie (I never miss one of his). After scanning initial reviews, I was going to pass on the movie, but after seeing a trailer I got interested in that it was different than I had expected. After watching it, it was again different than I expected, better than I expected after my initial review point of view, but not quite up to the trailer expectation. There was enough there to be worth picking up the movie if you haven't seen it. The 1000+ horse power car gives it an interesting twist. It wasn't theater worthy, but OK for discount Blu-ray. The HD video and audio are above average. Plenty of extras, but didn't take the 90+ min to watch all. While I have recommended it, it may be worth just renting, unless you're an Arnie fan.

Yes, it is plug and play. You can load a custom driver from Logitech to get more functionality, but the mouse if fully usable on the initial plug in.
