Small watch with lots of function!
on April 4, 2022

The Amazon Halo View Fitness watch is a great watch for all of your fitness and health tracking needs! Starting off the watch is very light and small, so it is comfortable on your wrist. The silicone band has lots of adjustment holes and even fits larger people easily with the large band. It straps a different way than most watches but is comfortable. It's important to clean the watch and put it on clean skin as there are multiple sensors on the bottom side that read and track information.
The watch has no buttons and is soley touch screen. There is no on or off button. It initially turns on once you put it on the charger and will stay on. There is a little touch bar at the bottom of the screen that you tap to wake up the screen. Then swipe up and down to go to the different screens. You can adjust the watch face with a handful of different options, but the rest of the watch is mostly centered around fitness tracking, which is fine because thats what the watch is for.
The watch is heavily focused on the use of the Halo app and is needed to set up and connect to the watch. It syncs and updates the stats on your watch so you can easily view everything. The watch monitors your steps, heart rate, calories burned and gets an estimate on your BMR for more accurate calorie burning. It also tracks a lot of different excersizes like going on walks, running, weight lifting , yoga, hiit, rowing, swimming, cycling, fitness training, etc. You can start, stop, or pause the the excersizes on the watch and view all of the data during the workout on the watch or after on the app. It also has tools like a stopwatch, timer and alarm. Viewing everything on the app is detailed and organized. The watch even tracks your sleep and breaks down how long you slept, rem sleep, deep sleep, disturbances in sleep, etc. Its been a great tool!
The Halo View app is subscription based and comes with a year included with the watch. The subscription price may change but appeared to cost only a few dollars a month. With out the subscription you can only track a handul of things.
Overall it has been an awesome, simple watch to have to track fitness, sleep, steps, and heart rate. Would definitely recommend!

Stylish, sleek, but limited
on December 22, 2021

These Lucyd sunglasses take on a new level. Out of the box, you will notice some very stylish sunglasses, a charger, a foldable carry case, a wipe cloth, and some papers for touch controls guide, and a social media share note.
These Lucyd Lyte sunglasses are a medium weight, but they feel good on the ears and aren't overbearing. The frames are rigid and don't flex. The arms house the bluetooth and speakers, but are thick and sturdy. All in a good way. The glasses feel natural on my face, and I wouldn't even know there were bluetooth speakers on my ears if no one told me. The lenses are a good shade but are not polarized. They do a good job in the sunlight and feel good on the eyes. These sunglasses definitely have quality in mind.
Each arm has its own connection pad for the charger. The charger splits and connects magnetically to each arm for charging. When the charger disconnects, the speakera automatically turn on. There is a power button on each arm to turn on or off, or activate the touch controls. Charging takes a few hours, but has a very long play time. My longest session with them playing music was just over 6 hours.
The speaker and sound quality is basic, as it is hard to ask for a lot of something that doesn't fit in your ear, and has to play out of the arm of a sunglass frame. There is almost no bass, but the volume does get fairly loud. Depending in the activity though, it could easily get drowned out.
The limited side of these glasses is the things you can do with them, as far as playing audio or taking phone calls. One point of bluetooth and ear buds is having the privacy of listening to what you want or having conversations that others can't overhear. That is not these. All audio is very noticable to anyone in the area. If you need privacy, these are not for you. They do work great for bike rides, or walking, or any kind of isolated excersizing, or any activity you need sunglasses but are not around a lot of people.
That being said, they still function great as regular sunglasses and look and feel really good. Overall, definitely worth grabbing if you like earbud free, wireless music , and don't mind all your audio hearable to anyone around you. Would be better if lenses were polarized, but they still work great.

Great features, good excecution
on December 12, 2021

I have a high traffic home with half carpet, half tile. The Bissell surface sense multi surface vacuum seemed like the perfect fit for my home with all of the features it has, like the surface-sense technology, the multisurface brush roll, and pet clean tools. It also has a swivel head, which I love on vacuums. It has a medium sized head and coverage path.
Assembly was very easy to figure out, you just need to remember to put the filter in under neath the collection bin. It is a febreeze scented filter. The smell is ok but might not smell great for everyone. The vacuum is light, but also feels like cheaper materials were used and sometimes feels like it could break easily, especially the wand. The slider mechanism to switch between bare floor and low carpet to high carpet feels loose and you can't feel any detents in your selection. It switches ok but just feels weak. The wand diameter is on the small end, which makes it light.
The attachments fit welll onto the holders and include a rotating brush pet hair tool, a LED lighted crevis tool, and a standard dusting attachment. The crevis tool and duster attachments work good, but the pet hair tool I was not very impressed with. The brushes in it spin up real fast but when you put it down on the couch or carpet, the rollers stop and you have to force it to roll on what your cleaning. It was not the greatest at picking up the pet hair in our couch. Had to go over the area many times before it would pick it up.
The surface sense technology can seem a bit slow to switch over when changing surfaces, so you have to wait a second for it to switch over. The roller in the carpet seems to pick up bigger objects ok, but it kept wanting to leave behind smaller objects and took several sweeps to finally pick it up. I feel this vacuum could benefit from being self propelled, but it's not.
You also have the option to manually turn the brush roller off. I would rather some times being able to turn the brush on while in the tile, but that's not a huge deal.
One thing I can say i'm not a fan of is the power button location. I would much rather have it on the wand.
Overall it does a good job on the carpet, a great job on the bare floor, and ok with tough pet hair on the couch and stairs with the attachment. The swivel head helps it out. It is not too loud, and the febreeze filter puts out a nice smell but again might not smell great for everyone. Overall, it still gets the job done, but no vacuum is perfect. I feel the pet hair tools are always overhyped.
I have some qualms with this vacuum but may just be personal issues with it and other may not feel the same. There is a lot of dirt in the container after vacuuming so it definitely picks up a lot, but gets frustrating when you have to take multiple passes to pick up visible debris, and yes the switch is on the right setting.

A great, mobile PA system
on December 12, 2021

Bose has won me back over with their small, super portable s1-pro PA speaker. I have been looking for a easily mobile speaker to use for singing and my bass. It is the perfect amp for my needs. The ability to play bluetooth audio though the PA is great! The whole thing (no battery) weighs a little more than a gallon of milk and puts out the high quality Bose sound you expect. The mic quality is amazing, even with a low end mic and with reverb, bass and treble adjustments on each line input, it makes it very easy to perform with.
The case feels very solid and has a deep well handle on the top for carrying. It has multiple positions you can set the case to orient the sound how you need it. There are 2 inputs for a mic or guitar. There is a selector switch on each line in to select if the input is a mic. Guitar, or if you want the input off. It also has the bluetooth input, and a 3.5mm aux input as well. Each 3 input areas have their own volume knob which I love, and they are placed well on the PA.
In order to get the full effect, you need to download the bose connect app to be able to link bluetooth, and also be able to party chain the speaker with multiple bose speakers.
Just to note, this PA's drivers can not handle sub bass frequencies. It is intended as a mid and high range speaker. That being said, it still does put out good bass, but the light at the volume knob will flash red on sub bass hits if it is too much for the volume you are at. Playing my bass guitar on the PA though works great and sound clarity is rich tone and the sound carries a good distance.
Using this PA for gigs makes things so easy to set up and less complicated. I couldn't be happier. I strongly suggest this Bose S-1 pro PA.

Fantastic updated design!
on October 28, 2021
Posted by: Viabledata
from Indianapolis, IN
I have a Ninja pressure cooker/air fryer that I love that I got a couple years ago that I use all the time! I received this new Ninja Foodi Pressure cooker/air fryer and it is an amazing upgrade and updated design!
The first part is the all in one design. On the older model you had to switch the lids between pressure cooking and air frying. This has an adjustable slider that adjusts between pressure cooking, steam crisp, and air frying all under one lid!
Next is a noticiably sturdier foot base, to give extra support when the lid is open and keep the pot from wanting to tip over.
The upgraded control panel makes cooking so easy and gives you clear selections for each type of cooking. The pressure cookers only choice is pressure, where the steamcrisp setting offers steam & crisp, as well as steam and bake. The air fryer/ stovetop setting offers air fry, broil, bake/roast, dehydrate, proofing, sear/saute, steam, sous vide, slow cook, and a yogurt mode. All of which are described in a very thorough guidebook, and also comes with a extensive meal guide with recipes of all types.
The accessories it comes with is a cooking plate, a reversible steam rack, a cooking pot, and the guide also said it is supposed to come with a multi-purpose pan but it didn't. Next to the pan in the guide it says "*Accessories may vary in each configuration". So this model aparently does not come with one.
Cooking operation is extremely simple and way easier than my older version. Food cooks fast and evenly, air fryer makes foods taste amazing, crispy, and evenly as well. The steamer worked fanstastic when steaming brocoli and carrots, the slow cooker worked wonders on our white chicken chili, and am able to cook the chicken nuggets and tator tots, fries, pizza rolls, bagel bites with ease and great taste and texture. Browning hamburger is also easy on the sear/saute mode. Much easier than pan browning on the stove. The steaming modes require you to add water to the pan.
It being 6.5 quarts is a bit small sometimes for a larger family, but it is still able to tackle mostly everything I have thrown at it. It is by far my most favorite pressure cooker with the new updates. The only thing I would ask for in the future is a storage lid for the pot. Love it and highly recommend!

A solid doorbell/video alternative
on October 25, 2021
Posted by: Viabledata
from Indianapolis, IN
I needed a doorbell, so I opted to get this Blink video door bell with the sync module. The sync module is needed to connect the different blink products to. It is essentially a base station. I've been extremely happy with the performance, quality, and ease of installation with this system. With easy diagrams available from Blink and on their app, setup was a total breeze and I had my doorbell installed and working in 15 minutes. I chose to go the battery route, as I don't have a way to hard wire it. It comes with 2 lithium AA batteries.
It mounts with a couple screws and gives you the option to use an included angle mount if you need it, which I ended up using. It went together very easy and the backing plate of the doorbell does come with a seal so water stays out of the battery compartment.
Once you have the Blink app installed, it guides you step by step to get your doorbell set up and get the sync module set up to the internet and get your camera linked to it. It was a very easy set up. The only tool you will need is a phillips screwdriver and maybe a power drill with a phillips bit.
Setting up the camera has many options. The doorbell really doesn't though. You can set up motion detection, or just have the camera record once the doorbell is rung. On batteries, I opted to just have it record when the doorbell is pressed. You can set activity zones and night vision settings. It records 1080p video, and you can also take pictures on the app with an easy button press. You can also select different record times and how frequently it is triggered.
As far as the doorbell goes, it chimes at the doorbell itself, but only chimes on your phone that your logged into the Blink app on. I wish it would chime at the sync module, but on the phone is fine. It does not chime though if you are on a call or volume is down. It has notification options, but will send you a notification that your doorbell was rang and send you to the blink app where you can review the video. It all works very smoothly and am pretty satisfied with the whole thing, and its nice to finally have a door bell. For the price it is well worth it.
One of the only other things I don't like is that it won't let you take screenshots of the video for "privacy reasons". I feel I should be able to screenshot my cameras. Regardless, I would still recommend

Blender Perfection!
on October 25, 2021
Posted by: Viabledata
from Indianapolis, IN
Its very hard to go wrong with Ninja products, and this blender system shows that. I love how compact it is and how big the cups are that come with it. It comes with 2 lids that are for drinking, and one lid that is for storage. The lids seal good and together with the cups are pleasant to use after mixing a shake together. The opening in the drinking lid is big enough to fit a large straw as well if you prefer drinking with one. It takes a bit of practice to not overfill the cups when preparing things lol.
Getting into the blending, the blades are well designed that they chop and mix everything in the cup very smooth. The blender is easy to use with just pushing down on the cup when it is mounted up correctly to the motor. The blades are also very easy to clean. I have been very satisfied with the quality and performance of this blender system. Would definitely recommend

Great, fun electric bike!
on September 26, 2021
Posted by: Viabledata
from Indianapolis, IN
Being new to the electric bikes, I wasn't sure what I would think of them. This SWFT fleet bike has made me fall in love with having one!
Assembly of the bike can be a little tricky if you are not familiar with building a bike, which I am not. It took me a few hours to figure everything. There are not great assembly instructions. They tell you what to do but no diagram how to do it. I may just recommend having a bike shop put it together for you. The included tools are not user friendly what so ever, but I give kudos for them trying to craft an all in one wrench....but it just doesn't work good. You are much better off using separate wrenches, screwdriver and allen keys to put together.
During the assembly, I would recommend checking the frame welds for cracks, as it could happen accidentally during shipping or somehow else.
The hardest part of assembly was mounting the handlebar in the right angle. I would definitely recommend having 2 people for that part as they did not make it easy to adjust on your own.
The battery pack did not seem to have any charge to it and the tires did not have any air so make sure you put the battery on the charger first before using and air the tires up. You must also adjust the brakes and need to dissengage the front brake cable from the bracket in order to put the front tire on, but both brakes were way out of adjustment out of the box.
Some of the features of the bike is a front led headlight, front and rear reflectors are of course the main control panel. The computer controls everything electrical on the bike. It tells you your speed, lets you adjust your assist level, turn your headlight on or off, your mileage, and set your cruise control.
Using the bike is pretty simple but it does take a bit to learn how to do everything on the computer. After charging the battery, it slides down on the bike mount. It does not click into place or anything so it does leave you wondering if its on their right. It comes with a set of keys though, that when used on the battery, locks the battery onto the bike so it can't be stolen off the bike. It also has an on and off switch on the battery so you don't accidentally supply power to the motor while your off the bike. The battery also has a power level indicator that you can use to see the level, but it is hidden and unnaccessible when installed on the bike. When the computer is powered off, the bike will ride like a normal bike. Only when you power the computer on, will it activate the motors functionality.
Getting on and pedaling is just like any bike, but on the right hand side is the throttle for the motor. When going full throttle, the response is very quick and gets up to 20mph very quickly and flat land. Going up hills is a little taxing on the motor but certainly helps alleviate hard pedaling. The assist modes on the computer are 0-3. No assist means the bike motor will only activate when pulling the throttle. Assist levels 1-3 automatically activate the motor while pedaling at certain speeds. You adjust those levels by hitting the up or down arrows on the right side of the computer. When you want to stop, let off the throttle or stop pedaling and make sure you apply the rear brakes first, then the front brakes as needed. If you try and slow from 20 mph with the just front brakes you can flip the bike over. It is hard to stop quick from 20mph so make sure you give yourself plenty of distance. While cruising with the motor engaged, you can hold the bottom left button on the computer and activate cruise control so you dont have to hold the throttle. Hold again to deactivate. Holding the upper left button will turn on your headlamp . Holding again will turn it off. On the computer it will also display the battery life left.
Also a warning is on the box stating no riders over 260 lbs so there is a weight limit.
Overall it is an amazing bike but I am only giving it 4 stars because, there is poor placement of the kickstand when it is down. If off the bike and trying to roll the bike around into your garage or whereever with the kickstand down, the pedal runs right into it. The bracket for the kickstand is very small and weak and easy to bend. It also uses a large allen head bolt that the wrench size is not provided in the kit so you can't tighten it inless you have a set of allen wrenches. My pedal dug into the kickstand and bent the metal and made is so the bike couldn't even stand up anymore. I had to take a hammer and straighten the bracket back out.
That's really the only problem I have with it. Would still highly recommend getting one or even 2 or more for friends and family to ride too.

Ok, but not great
on August 15, 2021
Posted by: Viabledata
from Indianapolis, IN
I really wanted to give this Miroir M190 projector a good review, it looked very promising. Overall, it is quite lacking for the price.
First off, out of the box, the company has focused more on how many languages it can provide and electrical adapters it can cram at you. Nothing necessarily wrong with that, but keep in mind this is a global designed product. Its connection instructions are super basic and pretty much only point out the types of devices you can connect. If you want any further instruction, you have to go on its website which then you can access a PDF and it will guide you through its set up more thoroughly.
In order for you to connect to your phone and use the projector as a display, you must get a high speed usb-c to usb-c cord that can handle audio and video for android phones, and a special Iphone adapter to use on your Iphone. A standard charging cable will not do. The online instructions say there is a usb-c to usb-c cable provided in the box, but there is not. I had to go and buy a new cable just to use my phone. The box does come with a tiny 3 footish hdmi to hdmi cable though, which you can use to plug in your other devices like a game system or a dvd player. When connecting to a Samsung phone, it switches the phone to Samsung-Dex, which essentially turns your phone into a desktop on the projection, and your phone turns into a touchpad to move a mouse and select things. It is kind of neat, but a real burden to use effectively
The specs on this projector are not great. It only outputs in 480p, and accepts a 1080p input. So it actually downgrades your quality. The battery life is only rated at 2 hours, which isn't bad, but maybe if it output in 1080p at least then it would be more worth it. It took roughly 7 hours to charge the battery after depleting it. You can keep it plugged in while you watch stuff so that does help.
While it seems to make its focus having a DLP projector, it does not do much for the quality. It has very low lumens and is very difficult to see in dim lit rooms, but does look much better in pure dark rooms. The projector turns on by a slider switch on the bottom under the lense. It takes a few seconds to turn on once you open the cover. Once it turns on, it takes you to a basic connection screen, like the one that is included in the box. Once you plug in a source and the source is powered on, it will automatically switch to that source. If you have multiple sources hooked up, you can tap the "M" on the top of the projector and it will switch the source between usb-c and hdmi. The focus adjust on this is in a decent spot, but more of its focus is out of focus and you have a tiny grain of sand spot that you need to land on to get the focus just right.
The top of the projector also has volume up and down buttons to use during playback.. Honestly, the speaker in this projector is probably the best thing about it. During playback, the speaker gets loud and it clear to listen to. They did a great job with that.
Another main point this projector wants to focus on is its size. it is very small, about the size of my Note20 Ultra, just about an inch thick. It does fit into your pocket, and is easy to carry around. The only thing that would make this mini projector stand out as easy to carry would be if it had bluetooth or wifi support. Sure it fits in your pocket, but when you have to carry a charger and HDMI or USB-C cord with you to, it doesn't make it very much a stand out feature. None the less, it is small, and easy to carry by itself.
Overall, this projector was a big disappointment. It would fit better into a low $100 price range, but for over $200 this Miroir M190 just doesn't cut it. I don't know if their bigger projectors are any better, but for this, save your money. I will say it would be very well suited to take on camping trips or something, but with a 2 hour battery life and 7 hours to recharge, it is hard to be practical.

Solid Mount with great flexibility!

The Wasserstein Premium mount is a must have for your security cameras or other smart cameras that have the proper theaded mounting capabilities. The mount is very easy to adjust and move, and stays very solid when put in the position you want. I use it on my Arlo camera which just originally came with a magnetic ball mount, but had limited mounting capability, and poor angles. With this premium mount, I am able to have free range motion of the camera and able to mount in almost any position. I couldn't be happier with it. I highly recommend. It does use 4 screws to mount to walls, which are included. Not one complaint!

The Shark Air Purifier 6 with Anti-Allergen Multi-Filter uses Clean Sense IQ technology to constantly track air quality and auto-adjust power. It delivers clean air with 6 powerful, quiet fans and anti-allergen HEPA filtration with advanced odor & fumes protection.

Will this work with the balcony door open? New downstairs neighbors are chainsmokers - all day, every day - and it's killing my lungs (probably me too). Any help/feedback would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

I think it would. The air draws in from the back and blows out the sides. It has a large furnace type filter so should definitely help improve your air quality

On the k-cup side, can a travel mug fit in that space or just a regular coffee mug? Can you provide the clearance (in inches) please?

You are able to take the spill drain out to fit larger travel mugs. It can fit a mug right around 7 3/4" tall when taking out the drain.

Optimize your viewing experience on this 23-inch Dell LCD monitor. Its Full HD IPS screen lets you see content from almost any angle. Easily connect a laptop or a PC to the VGA and HDMI ports on this Dell LCD monitor.

Is this S2319NX compatible for extended display use from a Dell Inspiron 3059 all in one computer? I have the HDMI hooked up to HDMI and it's not working..help plz

It displayed extended from my laptop just fine. You will probably have to adjust the settings in your graphics options on the computer itself for the second screen to work. The monitor just displays the image, it's the computer that will have to split it like you want.

Can u customize the resolution to play stretched and stuff

There is no adjustable resolution per say on the monitor. Most resolution adjustment is handled by the computer itself. The monitor has a max resolution of 1920x1080 though. It does have a factory aspect ratio of 16:9 Wide, and can adjust that to either 4:3 or 5:3 as well if needed.
