High Quality Headphones

I've had some nice headphones over the years but these are a step above any of those. These headphones were designed with quality and made for performance. The design of the headphones is very modern and sturdy. The way they adjust to fit your ears is also better than the traditional headphones. These adjust with a solid metal post that the earphones can move up and down on. The only negative I could say about these is that the full adjustment still feels a little smaller than where I'd like to wear them (they don't get quite big enough), however, they still cover my ears just fine. I do have a large head.
Regarding the sound quality, both my family and I were impressed. You can get so much more volume, quality and bass from over the ear headphones and these really perform.
One last note that I thought was cool was that the headphones come with multiple wires to plug into your device. Both can detach so you don't risk the wire getting pulled off or going bad over time. And they can attach to either the left or the right earpiece. Also, the wires are covered in some type of mesh that is much sturdier than just a normal rubber/plastic covered wire.

Very Versatile Speaker

I've had this speaker for just a few days but it has gotten a lot of use already. Because I have given it to my 11 year old son, I am going to include both his thoughts and mine in the review.
First, according to my son, the first thing that he noticed was how light the speaker was. After using it a few days, he is really impressed with the sound quality. Also, he is impressed with how the buttons on the speaker can control his iPad while he is listening to YouTube videos (forward, pause and skip#. Also, he mentioned that he feels "safe" with the speaker because it has a compartment to lock up a phone and keep it waterproof. I would say he is pretty pleased with the speaker in every aspect.
Now, for my thoughts. Our family has four other speakers, most at a price point at or above this speaker. What I've come to realize is that most Bluetooth speakers specialize in a type of use or lifestyle. For example, there are speakers that have the most outstanding sound quality, speakers that are great for outdoors, speakers that are easy to transport, and speakers that are great for parties #think strobe lights#. Speakers sometimes are made for how you use them rather than how good they sound. This speaker is one of those. It's specialty is versatility and durability. It is very light and easy to carry with the handles all around it. Also, it can easily be placed on its side or stood up. It is drop proof and waterproof. Perfect for outdoor settings, especially if there is a chance of rain, if it is left out overnight, or if you are near a pool or beach. Also, it is designed to be simple and easy to use. The buttons are big, easy to see and you can easily tell when you've pushed one. The sound quality on this speaker is not bad, but I think the tradeoff between having all of the other options, including the waterproof, is that the speaker is well sealed and doesn't allow as much sound depth out as speakers that focus strictly on sound quality. To me, it feels like there is not quite enough bass, especially if you are outside. With that said, the sound quality is still pretty good and I would rate this as an excellent speaker if you value the other qualities mentioned above as much as the sound quality.

Good Quality and Good Shave

This razor is a nice foil shaver that is feels high quality and is easy to use. I like that it offers some nice options but doesn't try to do too much. I've had other razors that are self cleaning and that come with lots of attachments that I never use.
What I like most about this razor is that it is small, cordless, can be rinsed in water (wet/dry#, and that it has enough pivot to adjust to your face. Some razors pivot in all four directions but this one only pivots up and down #not left and right#. I have also been happy with the battery life, having used it for a week on the same charge and yet to run out of juice. Also, I like the charger. Instead of having to sit on my sink counter #which is always full), it sits right on top of the plugin charger. Also, the charger can fit into the top plugin with enough room to plug something in the lower plugin. Regarding the quality of the shave, I would rate it the same as the other razors I've had. You can get a super close shave but you have to spend more time to get a better shave.
As far as things I don't like about the razor, I would say there are none. I would say it takes me longer to shave then when I use the electric razor that has 3 heads, but I also read that it takes a while for your skin and whiskers to adjust to a new shaver. I've felt like this in the past about other razors too.
Overall, I am happy with this shaver and would recommend it.

Light Compact and Versatile

I admit that I am not an expert on vacuum cleaners but this Shark unit seems pretty impressive to me. It is very lightweight and not too loud, the suction is good and it is full of bells and whistles. The main canister lifts off the base and you can walk around with it in one hand to take care of furniture, curtains and other cleaning tasks. It is very light yet very sturdy. It has lots of attachments to reach hard places, including a telescoping attachment that can reach all the way to my ceiling.
I would point out that the width of the vacuum is smaller than other vacuums that I'm used to. It makes it lighter and easier to maneuver but it takes a little bit longer to vacuum the bigger rooms.
Overall, I would recommend this product and it has been great so far.

Very Solid, Fun and Versatile Speaker

The Sony XB40 speaker is a very solid and well built speaker. It is easy to use and is fun for the whole family. The sound is really good but not fantastic, however, all of the other features make it worth the money. For example, there are mini strobe lights and LEDs that change colors and flash with the music. Also, the whole unit is water resistant (in case you leave it out in the rain or use near a pool).
Here are some of the pros and cons as I see them, but remember that one person's pro may be another's con.
Pros: The speaker is well built, has good sound, is easy to hookup, is water resistant, it creates a cool party atmosphere with the lights, and it can be hooked up to more speakers to fill a room. The speaker is sturdy and has plenty of volume to fill a room (inside or outside#. Importantly, the battery life is estimated to be up to 24 hours, which is 2-3 times what I've seen in other Bluetooth speakers #I have 3 others). One more pro is that the technology is easy to use. Some speakers have trouble connecting to many devices but this one connected very quickly and to several different devices. The speaker also has a bass boost function. I couldn't tell if it sounded better or worse with the bass boost, but then again I was just playing pop music. Either way, the function is nice to have.
Cons: There are only 2 cons to this speaker, and they are not very negative. First, the sound is not as refined as I would like it. Its hard to describe but you know what awesome sound quality is when your face is in front of a speaker. Don't get me wrong, this speaker has really good sound but not quite the quality of a true high end speaker. The second con is the overall size of the speaker. It is larger and heavier than most of the other speakers I've used. However, the extra size is why it has the cool light show and the extra long battery life, so it is a tradeoff that I think is worth it.
Overall, I would recommend this speaker to almost anyone, but if you are looking at tradeoffs between sound quality and functionality, this speaker leans toward functionality.

High Quality Sport Headphones

Everything about these headphones are high quality. From the design of the box to the way they fit in your ears, you can tell they are well made. After opening the box, it took a few minutes to figure out the right size earbuds. They come with 4 sizes and are a little difficult to replace, but the buds are well designed and fit well in your ears once you find the right size.
After that, I charged the headphones by plugging into my laptop. It only took about 15 minutes to charge, which is nice. Setting up to Bluetooth was also effortless and I installed the UA record app, which allows you to record your heartbeat as well as other fitness goals and stats.
To get your heart rate you just need to touch the right earbud. This was easy and very convenient and the sensor works extremely well. The only downside was that whenever I would adjust or push the earpieces in, it would tell my heart rate.
Now for the sound. The sound quality was good but not great. I guess I was expecting a little more bass and higher volume. With the volume maxed out the headphones were only about 1/2 to 2/3 as loud as my ultra cheap wireless headphones. I'm not sure if that is to conserve battery power, space, or if it was the source of my music. I was listening to Amazon Music. I messed with the sound for a while and couldn't figure out how to override the max volume. This is the only reason I did not rate this product 5 stars. I'm hoping that the volume issue was because of my iPhone or Amazon Music. I am definitely going to try some other music sources and devices.
Two other cool functions about this is it can be used to make phone calls and that the controls can pause and skip songs from your playlist. I haven't had a chance to use as a phone yet, but I did use the controls to cycle through Amazon Music and it worked effortlessly.
Overall, I would say that this is a really good product and especially worth it if you find value in the heart rate monitor.

Smart WiFi but Slow App

The Linksys Velop home WiFi system is fairly simple and is designed to setup with the Linksys app. There are a few pros and cons to this wifi system but overall it is a good product. One of the pros is that it is a very cool looking device (compared to traditional routers). Another pro is that it has smart WiFi so you can control the settings from anywhere, including blocking specific websites or the internet from any connected device. Also, compared to the Google WiFi system (which I installed last month), the settings have more options (like a traditional router). For example, you can't remove the security setting on the Google WiFi but you can on this device. You can also use MAC cloning and prioritize the connected devices. There are many other advanced routing options that I was glad to see but that I don't usually use. The other big pro was the coverage area. I installed the first node in one corner of my basement and got coverage throughout all three floors and all the way to the opposite side of the house on the top floor.
There were also some cons that I would point out. The first was the difficulty in setting up the node. The app was extremely slow and constantly hung up. I had to go through the setup process at least 6 times to get the setup to complete. It took over 3 hours to get the first node working. Each time it got hung up I had to start over and reset my device. Also, it was confusing whether I was logging onto the Linksys cloud or directly to the router. I got errors that the cloud was unavailable and then it would connect to the device directly. Also, logging into the app takes a long time. I wanted to turn off my son's WiFi and it took me a few minutes before the app connected and was available. I think the app needs further development but since this is a new product I assume it will work better over time. By the way, I used the app with my iPhone 6. Another con was the internet speed. I did a speed test with my traditional router and was getting the full 60 Mbps with my previous router. On this WiFi network I consistently got 35 Mbps. I couldn't figure out what was limiting the speed since it has the same technology as my other router. The final negative about this device is that you can only plug one additional Ethernet connection into the main node. Since I have my phone (Vonage), network storage, desktop computer and printer all in my office, I am not able to connect them to this WiFi network without purchasing additional equipment.
Overall, it is a solid WiFi system. I'm not sure if they sell a version with just 2 nodes, but unless you have a huge coverage area, you won't need all three nodes.

Overly Simple and Buggy

While the concept of this product is very cool, the product is overly simple and did not work well. This product is designed to simplify the setup of a home network. It is designed to take out of the box, plug in, and then setup with a mobile app. The concept seemed cool and I was excited to give it a try. However, while I eventually got it to connect to my cable modem, the mobile app had locked up my phone (iPhone 6) several times. When I tried to add the second and third mesh points, the same thing happened. I figured because the product was so new there were probably some bugs in the app so I let it slide.
Once I got the network setup and working I tested the speed and it was ridiculously fast! It maxed out my 60MB/s download and 5MB/s upload speeds set by my provider. However, I was constantly losing internet connection from several of my devices. I'm not sure why I was getting disconnected, but it was very frustrating.
Next, I went to setup all of the other wifi devices in my house (DVRs, TVs, etc.) and found that I couldn't remove the password from the wifi network. I keep all of my secure content on a secure NAS and leave my wifi open for all of my devices to connect. I couldn't do that with this software because it is oversimplified and doesn't allow for most of the options that a traditional router offers.
And finally, I had my NAS, printer, Vonage phone and desktop computer plugged into my previous router. With this system you can only plug in one Ethernet connection to the main device. The workaround for this is to put the devices you need plugged in to the other 2 devices, but I decided that wouldn't work for me.
In summary, this could be a very cool product for someone needing fast wifi throughout a large house, and for someone that isn't very tech savvy. Perhaps when the bugs are worked out of the mobile app and the software itself is less buggy I will give it another try.
