Prevent dead zones around your home with the help of this Linksys Wi-Fi range extender. It works with all types of Wi-Fi routers, and it uses multi-user MIMO for speed and efficiency. This Linksys Wi-Fi range extender can be used to create a different access point or to extend the field of the router’s connection.

An Excellent Wi-Fi Extender
on May 18, 2016

This Linksys AC1900+ Wi-Fi Range Extender is exactly what a bigger home needs, or anyone looking to utilize Wi-Fi outside their normal activities.
The extender isn't too big, and takes just a single plug socket in your wall up.
The setup is fairly straightforward. I would recommend doing non-WPS based setup, just for better customizable areas and easier access to settings, but both setups were easy and took under five minutes (I tested both just to make sure no hiccups would be involved).
The extension will about be 1.5-2x the previous network strength, depending upon where the router is placed, and where the extender is placed. For me, this now gives me Wi-Fi out in my yard where it was previously fairly spotty.
Overall another good, solid product from Linksys, doing the job it's supposed to do.

An Amazing Router, For the Price
on May 15, 2016

First off, I must say this is one the best routers I've gotten my hands on.
The connectivity, the power, the range, all exceptional values here.
Overall, the product has proven to be great in all areas of what you'd expect from a router at this price point.
If you're looking for one of the most powerful routers on the market, look no further than this EA9500 Tri-Band router from Linksys.
The range is phenomenal; I have a 1600 sq. ft. house and every corner of it is covered by this guy.
The speed is also great; it's not going to boost your ISP speeds, but it will transmit whatever speed you get to every device at once, without any hiccups. In my week with this router I haven't had to reset it once, nor have I encountered any dropped signals, which is awesome.
Next, the amount of power this guy possesses with it's dual-core 1.4 GHz processor in order to transmit all of the devices and speed around the house is great, while the router itself comes equipped with the USB ports you'd expect, with file transfer speeds of normal here.
Lastly, if you have a heavy usage home (ours is 20 devices at once, which isn't a ton, but half of them are demanding ones) or a big home, you should check out this router. As I mentioned before, this will cover most home sizes, and deliver the speed and performance you'd expect from something with this price.
The only gripe is the size, and it's not too much of a complaint due to the nature of a powerful device needing more room to work. But that aside, the router is fairly big, with no wall-mountable option it seems.
Overall, a great piece of hardware though. If you have a big, demanding, or fast network in the house, look no further than this EA9500 from Linksys.

Solid Router with Tech that isn't Rewarding
on February 16, 2016

from Spokane, WA
3.5 out of 5, rounding up.
For starters, everyone needs, at least, an AC capable router in their household, and an AC-1900 is the one (power-wise) that I'd recommend everyone get their hands on.
Now, is the Linksys EA7500 right for you? Read on to find out.
At the 199.99 price point, there is a lot of competition for routers. Specifically, the AC-1900 crop. The newest addition of these routers is the Linksys EA7500. The specs alone top most other routers in its class (processor, RAM, etc, everything outclasses most others'), and as such you might expect it to be the best out there.
Not quite.
I'll start with the PROS: the biggest one is ease of set up. Seriously, this thing was a breeze to set up and run. Also, super simple to change settings once set up. If you like no hassle, I'd say this is the one you're looking for, straight up. Next, the range. It's great. I have a 1200 sq. ft. apartment and it covers the entire thing, while also reaching about 200 feet away while I'm outside. Third, the tech specs underneath the hood. The processor, RAM, etc. all make it willing and able to take on any task you through at it, without a hiccup. This is good. It's a dual-band router, so it has both 2GHz and 5GHz band, to support old and new devices alike.
Now, the bad. This thing is huge. It's probably 16 inches by 8 inches (I honestly didn't measure) and since it has to lay flat (not wall mountable), that is a factor some may need to consider. It only has one 3.0 USB port, which is sup-par what others pack with their technology.
However, the biggest gripe of all was the MU-MIMO (Multiple User - Multiple Input Multiple Output) promise. While this sounds great (and I'm sure it will be in 2-3 years, when devices actually support this), it didn't perform nearly as it should've. I had connection problems galore when I tried to run some stress tests using both computers, phones, or my gaming systems. I even couldn't connect some times with friends online because of the routers filtering settings. And while, yes, you can change all of these settings, you shouldn't HAVE to do that. The router should for you.
Everything considered, it's a great router. 3.5 out of 5 starts, with potential though. I'd recommend it, but I'd definitely consider your options first.

What's great about it: Good price, great range coverage, amazing ease of set up, great speeds, supports a ton (155) of devices
What's not so great: MU-MIMO makes the router perform too good for itself, slightly big when compared to other routers, spotty connection

Solid Entry Level Soundbar
on November 23, 2015
Posted by: DarthNeyehilus
from Spokane, WA
Let me start out by saying that everyone needs a soundbar in their lives. It creates a better experience with movies and music alike. And what better way to start out with them than this Insignia Stereo Soundbar plus Subwoofer.
After opening the packaging, the set up was very straightforward and laid out in the easy-to-follow instructions. Took two minutes, so long as you have the right connections (I'd recommend buying an optical audio cord to make setup easier, as this soundbar does not come with one). It comes with an RCA audio cable, headphone adapter, remote (with basic functions), and power cord.
Upon first using the product, I decided to test it's musical aspirations first. For the most part, it performed well; any alternative, electronic or indie style music sounds great, with all the highs and lows showing up, and the little sub filling the room with its boom, thoroughly enhancing the sound.
On the flip side, rock, hip hop, rap, punk, and classical style music did not do the soundbar justice. For rock, hip hop, and classical genres, the bar couldn't handle all that was happening, often drowning out parts of the band/person/orchestra.
As I listen to all of these genres of music, it could be a little disappointing if you were in the same boat, having great sound for certain songs and very average sound for others. So take into account your musical tastes when looking at this soundbar.
Now, moving on to the bread and butter of soundbars: movies. Everyone wants a better sounding home theater experience, and while this soundbar provides that, it swings and misses on certain styles, once again.
While drama movies such as Nightcrawler performed well, with the soundbar having ability to get low-to-no sound without static but also packing a punch when a car engine turns on. The sound was also good for children's movies, such as Toy Story 3, with many little sounds being able to be picked up, just not filling the room with immersion, mind you.
However, as you might expect, the soundbar falls short with action/adventure movies, as well as musicals. Most of the action movies just got too drowned out by certain sounds, like in Star Wars: A New Hope, blaster fire would be the only thing one could hear at certain parts. And when I watched Across the Universe, certain songs weren't up to par with their sound levels, either.
Lastly, while the remote does have three different sound profiles in Theater, News, and Standard, you'll probably never use anyone other than Standard. Theater tries to mimic a full surround sound system, falling too short to make any impact, and News is solely built to hear voices above all else.
The Bluetooth connected well, and never had any drops in signal while using the soundbar.
So, to wrap things up, this is a decent soundbar. It can do a lot of things well, with the subwoofer being the biggest surprise. It also leaves a lot to be desired on other things, most notably rock music and action movies. Make sure to take your tastes into account before purchasing.
My Best Buy number: 0577383766
What's great about it: Very easy set up, decent price, wireless subwoofer is great, handles certain sounds great, small profile (size wise)
What's not so great: Doesn't handles surrond sound movies well, nor does it perform well under certain types of music
