I bought this computer for video editing because it was the best bang for the buck. I upgraded the ram to 32gb and added a 2nd SSD. The 2TB hard drive is good enough for storage, but not fast enough for working on big video files in 4k. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 with 8gb ram is superb for my projects and allows multiple 4k monitors. This computer has no bays for CD burners, so I bought one and just placed it on top of the case.

I am happy that I hooked it up to my wireless router, but I do not really know what I am doing and sometimes the older versions of my 3 computers do not view this network hard-drive, and I have no idea why?
After restarting the computer this network hard drive shows up again.

This is my second SSD from SAMSUNG. I had first the 500GB version for my video files on my desktop (the OS was already on a SSD, but the data needs to be on a separate SSD to speed up reading), and now the "Samsung - 850 EVO 1TB Internal Sata III Solid State Drive - Black" version for my Laptops main hard-drive, OS.
If money is no problem, take the "pro" version of this hard-drive. Otherwise the "850 EVO" last long enough until you have to upgrade your whole computer (every 5 years!!!). (5 computer years is like 72 human years!)
There are 4 important ways to speed-up your computer:
1. Upgrade the ram to the maximum (I did)
2. Upgrade the Video card (I did Nvidia 1080)
3. Upgrade to SSD (now I did for my Laptop)
4. Separate the OS system from the data storage (Have 2 SSD's, one for data, and one for the OS).

I am using this AA Duracell Rechargeable Batteries now for over 3 years. Originally I bought them at SamsClub, but now with the price-matching at BEST BUY, I bought them here!!!!
With 2450mA and an average of 1.25-1.4V they work just fine with my Sennheiser Wires-less equipment and my Roland Speakers. Some utilities need 1.5V, but not mine. This rechargeable hold the main V of 1.3 the longest. This batteries work longer in my equipment then regular throw-a-way batteries!
I am charging them with my "Powerex MH-C800S 8-Cell Smart Charger for AA / AAA NiMH / NiCD" which takes only 2.5 hours, and they are still running great. I bought 3 x 4batteries again, because I need more batteries available, so I do not have to recharge them during my 3 day GIGs. Also I recommend to recharge them after every use. They loose very slowly there charge, The have still 75% CHARGE after a year of not using, real slow discharge batteries!

Difference between ssd and ssd pro
SSD pro has a longer warranty, so should last longer.
Since I would replace/upgrade my computer every 5 years, I would put the OS (Operating system on a regular SSD and the data on a SSD PRO. When upgrading to a new computer, you can remove the old data SSD and place it in the new desktop or in an external drive compartment. In this way you save yourself time to transfer the data. Samsung lets you choose in the SSD setup between "Performance" and "Data-security."
So, choose "High performance" for the Operating System (like Windows 10) and "Data-security" for the DATA-Drive.
Since I would replace/upgrade my computer every 5 years, I would put the OS (Operating system on a regular SSD and the data on a SSD PRO. When upgrading to a new computer, you can remove the old data SSD and place it in the new desktop or in an external drive compartment. In this way you save yourself time to transfer the data. Samsung lets you choose in the SSD setup between "Performance" and "Data-security."

I recommend the "Samsung - 850 EVO 500GB Internal Sata III Solid State Drive" for any computers OS, no matter Laptop or desktop. 250GB is sometimes to small.
If money is no problem, take the "pro" version of this hard-drive. Otherwise the "850 EVO" last long enough until you have to upgrade your whole computer ( buy a new one every 5 years!!!). (5 computer years is like 72 human years!).
