This collection contains every episode of Reno 911, the Comedy Central show that mercilessly spoofed such reality programs as Cops. Heading the Washoe County Sheriff's Department in Reno, NV, was Lt. Jim Dangle (Thomas Lennon), a sexually ambivalent lawman who preferred to show up at a crime scene wearing the shortest of shorts. Dangle's team included the silent but deadly Travis Junior (Robert Ben Garant); the nerdish, heavily medicated Trudy Weigel (Keri Kenney); flamboyantly streetwise Williams (Niecy Nash); and sexpot Clementine Johnson (Wendi McLendon-Covey).

Excellent series that defines the Silver Age of Comedy Central before it REALLY took off with (adopted) Futurama, Drawn Together and umptillion Tosh.O and South Park seasons. Thomas Lennon, Niecy Nash, and Wendi are of course on-top of the world now for supporting actors and series leads (respectively), and Cedric shows up in things no and again, but at one time these cats were all together on one very satirical cop show about America's smaller Playground. (And no it's not Atlanta).
If you like dry humor, random streaking comedians, aberrant silliness, and lots of muffin top sporting tan slacks, short-shorts and a badge, this show's for you.

Stick your SD card in, stick your micro SD card in (with adapter), go to town. Take and put pics on/off the card from your phone, iPad, etc. Don't fall for the cheap versions, this has the microchip that is proprietary to Apple and the quality guarantee.

This release features the complete second season of Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon's wildly inventive Adult Swim animated comedy Rick and Morty, following the intergalactic adventures of alcoholic genius inventor Rick Sanchez and his uptight grandson Morty. All ten episodes from the second season are included, as well as bonus features and commentary.

If you haven't hopped on the Rick and Morty bandwagon, it's way past time. Since 2014 this show has been satiating the void left by bad Family Guy seasons and the sad loss of Futurama with satire, wit, and writing that pretty much combines all of the pros of the essential animated shows, and none of the cons. Okay, so it can be a little too self-aware, and Rick is awfully no-it-all and preachy. But other than that R&M is a show for the ages.
Second Season is awesome, vulgar and thoroughly satisfying. This is a series that demands Blu-ray; accept nothing lesser. Color, music, action and gradation are wonders to behold. My favorites are definitely Mortynight Run and Total Rickall.
Getting this is more of a chore than it should be, but when it hits ten, you basically need to sprint to BB or order online as quick as possible. Do not let R&M fall through the cracks! Uncensored, uncut and the highest fidelity are the best for this show!

How you doin'?

I'm not sure how the Blu-rays from the last release got such low scores, but I've watched the first two seasons in this set and all I can say is drop everything and pick this up! This is the definitive set for any friend of Friend's and showcases the show is excellent fidelity. The picture has never been so clear or so well lit. The sound is the best the show has ever had!
I've watched the DVD sets three times over now, and the age of those is showing greatly. In the DVD set, the sound jumps up and down with each episode, limitations by the recordings at the time and the technology available. The picture also varies episode to episode. In THIS set (BR), everything is crystal clear, smooth, colors are excellent and the sound is immersive. It doesn't sound like the coffee house is in a tunnel on the Blu-ray.
As for the extra minutes that were included on the DVD's that people are complaining about; I can't nitpick every minute of Friends verbatim, but gun-to-my-head the episodes contain more than what was in the broadcast and syndication. There are still extras that I haven't touched yet and I'm assuming that's where some of the added footage is at.
This release is VERY streamlined. The First and Second Seasons are both on two discs apiece, and each disc has the episodes numbered. On the menu they'll be by the episode name, for example: "The One With the Crazy Roommate". All of the discs fit into two main plastic covers, and then the extras is in its own plastic cover and disc.
I lucked out and got this for the price of the regularly sold DVD set. This is a no brainer: if you have a Blu-ray Player and want Friends, get THIS set instead. The show has never looked, ran, nor sounded better. And it is one of the top five series of all time. OBLIGATE recommendation!!!

I will admit I haven't watched the original show on Nickelodeon, but I've lived through its hype. Well, Legend of Korra is all that and a bag of chips. This release is a must have.
First of all, the animation is out of sight. Two studios are accountable for Korra's arresting visuals, one in Korea, the other in Japan. The show is seamless between both art studios. Vivid colors, fluid intense fights in each episode, incredible abilities and sub abilities, the characters in the show never disappoint. And each character has amazing development. Characters from the original series are well into their golden years with several of them being the equivalent to great grandparents. So if you miss Aang, rest assured there's plenty of references to him and his colleagues.
The audio is decent. Sometimes the dialogue is a little soft spoken, and I'm not a fan of the show's opening music (it's really high at the end), but it's 5.1. I throw on subs sometimes just to make sure I don't miss a well-timed joke or plot detail.
Now the crux of this series; amazing storytelling! First season is flying on all cylinders with an underground group seeking to wipe out the Bending Arts through taboo "Bloodbending". Season two is universally regarded as the weakest with a cataclysmic finale (headache mode) with super beings and sky beams. Season three gets back into a better story line with another group seeking to overthrow the kingdoms to create a Thoreau style of government rid of hierarchies and leaving government to an anarchic society. And finally Book Four is how Korra Got Her Groove Back. I'm overly simplifying the plots, but the subplots and relationships are well developed for a series on Nickelodeon, challenging even the dynamics in a more mature drama series like Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad. Between characters, comedy, plot, action, drama, and surprises, this show never fails to leave me saying aloud, "Good God this is a great show!"
I cannot give this show a high enough recommendation. If you like being surprised by animated series such as the Batman cartoon from the Nineties or Samurai Jack, this is an essential series to own. You don't even have to be a longtime Avatar fan to pick it up. Plenty of references will help get you into the franchise (yes, there's Fire Kingdom references throughout). Best gem I've picked up and I cannot wait to get the original on Blu-ray in three weeks!
(Also, there's eight Blu-rays for all four seasons, they are on winged inserts in the case, and there's special features for each season. I haven't dived into the added features because the show is lengthy, even for binge watching.)

All 13 episodes of the sixth season of the FX spy comedy Archer are now available in this collection. Led by the brash, wisecracking Sterling Archer (voiced by H. Jon Benjamin), a group of fellow secret agents and their organization's office employees experience a cavalcade of madcap adventures and run-ins, which include an assassin in the Alps, an extraction of a CIA agent in Argentina, and being stuck on an office elevator with each other. Special features include a duel between Archer and Russian mobsters that includes talk-show host Conan O'Brien.

Blu-ray. Archer. Need I say more? Season 6 is a return to form for the entire series and has probably my favorite moments in it. Lana and Archer are excellent feeding off each other's quirks, and the rest of the gang are amped up to 11 on their vices and virtues. The crew is back at the agency formerly known as ISIS, operating as contractors for the CIA. Hilarity ensues.
Picture is out of sight (the background has individual pixels!), and the sound is superb. As always, Season Mode is great for binging, and if you want to change something you can at anytime. My only two complaints are that I'm sure they could have put the entire season on one disc, and if they ever revamp Season Mode, we don't need the title song at the first of every episode, only for the credits (for guest stars).
Otherwise, DO NOT MISS THIS ENTRY! Highly recommended for longtime fans and casuals alike.

Awesome series, but...

A missed opportunity. Fox does it again and decided halfway through a show's running to stop putting the series on Blu-ray, despite other seasons releasing on the higher quality medium. Like Always Sunny, Modern Family and The Simpsons, we now have downgraded versions of Archer to purchase for future releases. And for those who want the 1080p HD versions in digital, those come with the ads! As of this month, Netflix is ceasing its content for Archer mid-March.
I love this series, and this season is great with even more knockout moments, but switching from Season 6's glorious definition and color palette to the S7 DVD's washed out color and muffled sound is almost unbearable. There's no quick draw menu options or Season Mode, and to play all of the episodes continuously you have to start from the first episode on each disc.
As for the season itself, the gang is back in the face of danger as private investigators. And that's the only thing that's really changed. All the running gags, meta humor, debauchery and style is still ever present. If anything, Archer gets in more trouble as lampshaded by the first and last scenes of the season.
I recommend this for people who are absolutely in love with the series and need it for the collection, but if you're casual or like better picture that previous seasons held, skip it.

3DS' Swan Song

If this is your first dabble with Gen VII of Pokemon, get this version! Better Legendaries in-game, the real time clock is set to standard daytime, the bulk of the exclusives are superior (Alolan Vulpix, Houndour line, Passimian, Blacephalon, etc.). The downside is that if you like Blue, Green, Purple, and Grey, the clothing and Festival Plaza's exclusives in UltraMoon or Moon are a better choice. You can still get Midnight Lycanroc in the wild later on, if that's what you were on the fence about.
As for the game itself, the story is nearly the same as Sun/Moon until you get to post game. That's when a familiar face, as well as many others, pop in. The graphics push the limits of the classic 3DS, the system I still play on. The only thing that really slows it down is double battles. I prefer the music in these entries to original SM, especially the Ultra Recon Squad's battle theme.
My recommendation is to start getting familiar with the Festival Plaza asap. It's the best way to get Poke Balls, Waters, and other items for DIRT cheap. That way you can use Poke Dollars for TMs, clothes, and other expenses. Festival Plaza also allows you to get tons of character customization outfits for talking to other people on Wi-Fi. And all it takes is just to link to the Pokemon Global Link. You can do a simple Random Trade, or deposit a Pokemon to trade for ones you don't have, and then you get A LIST of other players to get shops and clothes from. I like to check daily because people will have entire outfits that are hard to get, and the currency in Festival Plaza is just answering text questions!
Poke Pelago is also excellent for getting gobs of Berries, Fossils, Gold Bottle Caps, evolutionary stones, and even EVing Pokemon! You just deposit them onto the island, and come back a day later. This is sooo convenient for us that have jobs where we can't play Pokemon all day long. This is a good way to get perfectly EVed Pokemon, and even raise their levels for doing nothing. You get Poke Pelago on the second island after battling the Fire Trial, which is about 2/5ths the way in to the main game.
Some new additions like Mantine Ride, battle poses, Ultra Space, and some BROKEN Z Stones are sure to entice people as well. Mantine Ride is the best way to get Move Tutors of any generation yet, as you get to play Tony Hawk on the back of manta while dodging Tentacruels in the surf. I average about 9 points per ride, which equates to quite a few really useful moves for just 4 minutes of the mini game. Things like Knock Off, Stealth Rocks, Gunk Shot, Heal Bell, and Liquidation are highly coveted moves not only in-game but also for online battling.
The only reason I gave this one star less is that it's almost a carbon copy of Sun. We did this 20 years ago with things like Yellow and Crystal, but the difference is that Sun and Moon are very small games. They're in a tiny area, and the main story is shorter than say Black/White. Also, I cannot stand SOS Battles, and in these games you are forced to endure that mechanic all through the generation. But if this is your first experience with Gen VII, it's an easy 5/5. Another great Pokemon entry and a gorgeous sendoff for the highly successful Nintendo 3DS.
