In order to get the fullest experience out of your Xbox you must add the Xbox Live subscription. $60 to play online is pretty worthwhile, however the additional games you get monthly with your subscription, while most of them are kind of throwaways, there are some great games that add to the value of the subscription.

I like the Titanfall series for the uniqueness that it brings to the FPS game genre. It's more than just adding big giant robots to the mix of typical shooters, the fluid nature topping off the fast gameplay of this make it a unique take on a tiresome, dime-a-dozen genre. TF 2 is not as unique as when the original came out, but it is still a fun game nonetheless.

Very Unique Story Telling

I wasn't sure what to expect when I first started this show, hearing that it is a futuristic Western-style show. Having watched all episodes now I have to say this show is incredibly intriguing. the premise of the show is not unique, however the execution certainly is unlike 99% of the content out there. The UHD for this show also is quite good. Usage of HDR highlights and low light details are prevalent throughout the show. Detail is very good, despite some obvious digital brush ups on certain actors and actresses. Overall, this UHD 4K release is certainly the best way to watch this show.

Most improved iPhone to date

I've been through many iterations of iPhones (and Android phones, but that's another story) and the iPhone X is the most impressive and most improved iPhone to date. The things I love most are the new screen and the wireless charging. The OLED screen is a sight to behold. True Samsung has had them for years, but the color accuracy of the Samsungs aren't very good. They are vibrant, but not accurate. Watching videos, netflix and itunes, in HDR on this is quite nice. Also, yes it's true that Android phones have already had wireless charging in their phones for some time, so now to have it on iPhone is a very welcome addition. At work I have a Qi wireless charging stand and it works fantastically for both vertical and horizontal phone orientations.
Also another thing to note: having come from the Plus version of the iPhone to the X was a pretty noticeable change, but after only a couple of days usage, the smaller physical form factor size is a non-issue.

Jumping from an iPhone 6 Plus to the iPhone 8 Plus was a large upgrade. The speed and smoothness of the operating system, the camera, the screen's image quality all have been improved. The speakers can play quite a bit louder, as well.

Excellent Scientific Drama/Comedy

I found this movie to be highly entertaining. When my wife and I first saw it in theaters we didn't quite know what to expect. It turned out to be a very engaging film with lots and lots of humor strewn into it. After seeing it I knew it would be worth watching again at home. I originally picked up the standard blu-ray, theatrical version and enjoyed watching it a couple times then. Then I recently decided to pick up the UHD version and am certainly glad that I did. This movie looks appreciably better in 4K/HDR with wide color gamut. Resolution, despite being a 2K DI is noticeably sharper and cleaner. Long distant shots of Mars surface look crisp. Colors also have a more natural hue to them, and on occasion look punchier than they do on the standard blu-ray. Low light detail is also increased while retaining inky blacks. Overall a nice upgrade.
The extended version adds 10 minutes and there were a few noticeably extended scenes, I don't feel it added all too much value to the film; it didn't hurt it either though.

Weakest Dan Brown Film Adaptation

I'm a big fan of Dan Brown's work and the film adaptations of Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons were good, I think this one was a little lack-luster in terms of portraying much sense of mystery. Still a decent film that I enjoyed, but compared to the other films it didn't seem on par.
The UHD presentation was quite good though. One of the better UHD presentations to date. Resolution and detail is appreciable and the HDR and WCG capabilities are well represented here.

Modern Take on movies from the Musical Movie Era

"La La Land" is a phenomenal film that pays homage and harks back to the time when musical films ruled the cinemas. The production for this film is awe inspiring, especially during a time where the "art" of film making and story telling has somewhat been lost. Musical numbers often take a one-take approach allowing the audience to marvel at the choreography and music.
The UHD Blu-ray release is noticeably improved over the standard 1080p blu-ray, with an increase in detail and natural, vibrant colors. The image looks good, although this is not shot digitally, rather on 35mm film stock, so things are not always razor sharp or always in focus as we've grown to accustom to in the digital filming era. However, the UHD does its job and is still an improvement.

I'm Thinking I'm Back

John Wick is a sleeper, cult hit that brings Keanu Reeves back to his heyday. He's been in a few notable movies since his success as Neo in The Matrix Trilogy, however none of them put him decidedly on the same level of that... until John Wick.
I loved the dedication that Keanu took to really sell the fight/gun sequences in this film. He makes Wick a believable assassin capable of evoking the punishment that is talked about from his past. Keanu's deadpan acting only adds to John Wick's coolness factor. Another appreciable aspect of the film is that the action sequences aren't filmed primarly with handheld cams, which allows for us to see the action unfold and appreciate the stunt choreography to it's fullest.
The UHD presentation for this film is a worthwhile upgrade compared to the blu-ray version. The improvement in resolution is the best aspect of it, but the HDR dynamics follow suit, as well. The dark nature of this film, allows the fine detail increase from the HDR to be on show here. While the colors are also improved, there are more subtle gradations in the film's imagery that, while not drastically different from the blu-ray, is more natural.
Fans of the film might want to upgrade to the UHD to watch this in the best possible way. Considering it's relatively cheap UHD price, this release almost makes it a no-brainer.

Solid Rocky Franchise Addition

Inspirational sports movies, such as Rocky always have a place in my collection. This film, while not following Rocky as a main character, is still very much a Rocky film in nature. Following Adonis Creed as he follows indirectly in his father's footsteps was a entertaining premise, although it doesn't feel completely genuine. Still a very entertaining movie that is worthy to add to the Rocky film collection.
As for the UHD performance, it is generally a very good imrovement over the blu-ray version. The HDR highlights and resolution increase is notable throughout. The usage of the wide color gamut was not quite as pronounced. There are instances that the colors look more natural, but the more muted stylistic choice for this film limit the full capability of that aspect. Still, there are instances that the colors do look great, namely the last fight sequence.
