All U could want n a high quality portable speaker

The Sony SRS-XG500 is a magnificent wireless easily transportable portable speaker. Magnificent in that the sound that it puts out is beautiful. It is full bodied, with rich, warm tones. The high and mid frequencies sound excellent, while the low frequency bass is absolutely exquisite. I love deep bass, and this speaker provides it in abundance. It has a feature called MEGA BASS that can be turned on or off. When on, the bass is incredible. Moving on from absolutely superb sound to the design and form — they are also exceptional. This speaker weighs about 13 pounds, and is approximately 18” long X 10” high and 8’ wide. It has a long nicely sized carrying handle that runs almost its full length. It is easily transportable. When placed horizontally, it does not require a large piece of furniture , table, or desktop space, but it has a modest footprint. However, this speaker may also be placed in a vertical position (standing on either end) and sit in a minuscule area. The speaker has an attractive, but unobtrusive mesh fabric covering, and is designed to provide excellent water resistance and dust protection. While playing the speaker poolside, my rambunctious grandkids got into a splashing war. The speaker took its share of splashes with aplomb and justified its IP66 water resistance rating (more than nice to have, it is essential in a portable indoor and outdoor speaker). Sony went to some lengths to give this wireless battery powered speaker playing time longevity. Sony claims a 30 hour battery life, but I never went beyond 8 hours so that I cannot be sure. Suffice it to say it will play a very long time without recharging. The other nifty feature is that a quick charge mechanism enable the speaker to be charged for 10 minutes, and then have approximately 3 more hours of playtime (remarkable). Additional features that add to this speakers excellence are the ways to input music. Once paired (it took a tad over 1 minute) with my iPhone via its Bluetooth 5 electronics, my Apple music and its million songs became instantly available. I enjoyed vocals, instrumentals, orchestra music, etc. The sounds couldn’t be much better. The speaker filled a large room (15’X25’), and then played tunes poolside on my 60’ by 40’ lanai. This speaker handled the volume required with ease. The back of the speaker has a small door compartment with 2 USB ports, a microphone /guitar input port, an audio port, and a power port for recharging. The microphone port makes it easy to share the fun of karaoke. The USB ports permit charging small devices, and also the ability play music stored on a memory stick or flash drive. Another feature that the speaker had built in was lighting rings on both ends of the speaker. They change colors and synch to the beat and volume. The lighting is subdued, not garish, and can be turned on or off with a button touch or via the Sony Music App. The app enables Amazon, my library, Apple music, Pandora, audio in, USB, and Fiestable to be selected. The app also enables a STAMINA setting to preserve battery life, a Battery Care setting to recharge in a manner that extends the life of the battery, control of the lighting effects, and more. Finally, though I could not try it, the speaker has a feature called PARTY CONNECT, where a very large number of Sony speakers with the feature can synch music and lights. This speaker is dear, and I would say it is worth every dollar if you want top notch portable wireless superb quality sound.

With many brands and models of air purifiers, the buy decision wil usually be made based on unique features and somewhat on pricing. The Filtrete Smart Room Air Purifier for medium sized rooms (up to 150 Sq. Feet) has unique features and competitive pricing. It uses a laser sensor to detect the amount of particulate matter (as small as .3 microns) and provides a numerical number both on the top of the Purifier display, and to an application that is easily loaded onto most any smart phone, tablet, etc. The app permits monitoring and settings action to be received and taken from anywhere on the planet that provides access to the internet. Since the app works Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, voice control is available. The UNIQUE air quality number enable air quality trend to be easily detected. The number is either rising (not favorable), e.g. from 5 to 10 or to 23, or whatever, or it is falling ( this is favorable) A number alone might be hard to use as an assessment of air quality, and that is why this purifier provides a colored light indicator on its display (and app). You don't have to guess if 28 is good, fair, poor, severe, etc. The color code of green, orange, red, etc. provides that information at a glance. The HEPA filter is rated 99.97% effective at filtering matter down to .3 microns. It has a large surface area and is easily changed in under 1 minute as access is simple and does not require much effort and certainly zero tools. The purifier's filter is monitored and supposed to last 12 months with 6 hrs of usage per day. The purifier tracks and provides status on its display and app always revealing amount of usage remaining before the filter needs to be changed. This filter monitoring is not simply a day counter that shows filter change needed after a factory determined number of days. It is a smart filter and uses sensing status that tracks the air quality sensors. If air quality is poor, the filter will have to be changes more frequently than if it were fair, or good. As for other smart controls, the fan speed may be selected (4 settings), or set to automatic. The latter enables the fan speed to self adjust based on the measured air quality. This is a top notch smart feature. The purifier is ultra quiet, has a small footprint, the cabinet has an attractive appearance, and is easily transported by the built in gripping handholds. I enthusiastically recommend this purifier.

Fast/compact Laser printer/ low cost Toner program

HP has come out w a compact, i.e., approximately 14" by 17" by 10", and weighing about 12 lbs., hi speed (like 30ppm) B&W laser printer. The paper tray accepts about 150 sheets of paper and is easily loaded. The output tray is topside, easily reached. The printer will print double sided, and adjusts to all commonly used paper sizes, textures, weights. The printer setup is made easy via the HP Smart app (downloaded from the HP website). I put the HP SMART app on my 2 iPhones, 2 Apple iPads, 2 Apple iMac desktops, and my new MacBook Air. I was able to flawlessly print wirelessly from all. Setup involved bluetooth being turned with the device and printer close to each other. The print quality is high leaving nothing to be desired. That is the primary job of printer. This printer excels in other areas. The main complaint of most everyone in business or using a printer solely for personal use is the cost of the ink or toner. Replacement cartridges are expensive considering the cost of printing per page. This printer is part of a program that HP calls HP+. A few of the newer HP printers are factory set for HP+. Though not mandated, the HP+ program offers several features. It offers a subscription that provides 6 months of free toner, and an automatic delivery of toner to your door by tracking your toner level. Toner received by this cancel at anytime service lowers the cost of printing dramatically. HP states toner costs are reduced by 50%. The convenience of the program at an extremely low cost (like $2/month for lowest volume program) significantly saves money by lowering the most expensive cost of owning a laser printer. If you join HP+ within 7 days of activating your printer, the warranty doubles from 1 year to 2 years, you may signup & receive 6 months of free toner. HP+ adds other features that would not normally be available such as scans on my iPhones being sent and printed effortlessly from anywhere on any of my devices at anytime, and a mobile FAX capability. HP+ does require that the user create an HP account (no charge), keeps the printer connected to the internet, and that the user must always use HP Original toner cartridges for the lifetime of the printer. apparently, joining HP+ sets the firmware such that the printer will only function with original HP cartridges. This may be bothersome to some folks, but when measured against the toner cost charged for members of HP+, it is a bargain. Obviously, technology progresses, malware threats will never vanish, but HP+ provides 24/7 protection against security threats, and automatically keeps the printer software/firmware up to date. As I view the cost and capabilities of this HP+ printer, and most importantly, the cost of worry free guaranteed high quality original HP toner cartridges being delivered to my door automatically based on the level of my toner cartridge, this printer is a bargain.

"Killer" product, this cordless vac is sensational

You may own a top notch take anywhere cordless vac, but that simply means you almost certainly need this RAYCOP UV + Ultra-portable handheld vacuum. The design: I want to start with the impressive travel case that is about 14 "L by 9"W by 3" D. and weigh approximately 2 pounds. The 5 components fit securely in the case for easy transport. The vac components easily telescope together in seconds such that the result is a handheld ultra portable vac approximately 2' long. The ergonomic design makes it comfortable to use for low areas, e.g., floor, or high places (even stairs). As a vacuum, the deign is such that all ultra fine particulate matter stays in the HEPA filter, and is not recirculated into the area where the vac is being used. When I say fine matter, the manufacturer says it captures particles it as small as .3 microns (that means bacteria, influenza virus, dust mites invisible to the naked eye, pollen). The vac bin and filter s may be washed, dried, refused numerous times. ,; you get the idea. The vac has two run speeds, normal and high power. Note: the vac is designed to be easily emptied with the push of a release button that opens the bin door so that dirt and debris fall into your trash receptacle. This cordless vac reliably runs on a lithium battery for about a half hour; whereupon, the battery may be charged in about 1 1/2 hours.
The question is why is this vac a "KILLER"?
It contains an Ultraviolet C light (UV-C) built into the Vac head. UV-C kills bacteria and virus and dust mites (that live in our pillows and mattresses, etc.) in about 5 SECONDS! Spend a few minutes vacuuming your bed with sheets on, and off to kill the dust mites, remove any allergens. This is fine, but this vac does far more. Do a once over of your apparel, your keys, your smart phone, your Face Mask. The UV-C sanitizes all! In seconds you can sanitize a seat on board a plane and fold up the vac, put it in it's case, slip it in an overhead compartment or beneath a seat. I watched a CDC director explain how sunlight kills Covid 19 in minutes because of the sun's UV-C rays. This vac is a portable sanitizer thanks to it's UV-C vacuum head. Note: The vac may be used with or without the UV-C being on. IMHO, this KILLER Vac is sensational. It is a superb vac and it's sanitizing ability will help prevent illness, and the spread of infectious disease. In light of all it does, this vac is a superb buy :-)

Rugged portable superb sound, EZEE bluetooth link

So many attributes, I'll begin w physical. It has a cylindrical shape less than 6" tall, and has a well designed tapered base of about 3" narrowing to about 2 1/2". The speaker weighs a tad more than a pound. In short, it is extremely portable, and easily placed almost anywhere. The superb sound ( to include more bass than i would have imagined) radiates 360 degrees. Place this speaker in the middle of an activity and the tunes will be equally enjoyed regardless of position. The speaker is powered by a battery that provides at least 12 hours of listening per charge, and is easily charged via a the enclosed USB cable. Listening while charging is a nice bonus. I did kinda test the water resistance rating by gently splashing water on the speaker and it shrugged off the droplets without any interior seepage I could discern. The seamless one piece mesh screen was well designed, as were the controls on the flat top of the cylinder shape. Water just rolled off, and the controls for volume, power, bluetooth pairing provided excellent tactile response. You could feel and hear the success of each push on a control.Speaking of controls and pushes, Bose built in voice prompts were very well. Each on and off push of the power button provided battery status such as battery now at 80%. The Bose Connect app is straight forward and allowed easy management of the speaker and all needed information. Any app I opened on my iPhone regarding music or speech automatically produced sound on the speaker. I could voice command via Apple's Siri and both make and take phone calls with ease. This Bose speaker provided much better sound clarity than that of my iPhone or iPad speakers. i enjoyed phone calls because of the excellent volume and tone of the Bose speaker. I do not have 2 speakers, but Bose has built in a Party Mode which enables simultaneous sound from an additional speaker and even a stereo setting to separate left and right channels of sound. I could not have managed more ease of quality musical enjoyment from such a small speaker -- I highly recommend this bluetooth speaker.

Blue Pure Air Purifier ultra EZ to use transport

Yes, according to all the factory specs and government testing metrics, model 411 Auto air purifier excels in filtering ultra tiny particles (down to .1 microns --it is not certified to filter particles as small as Coronavirus, nor does it claim this ability) thanks to it's HEPA filter. The filter is extremely accessible and easy to change. That aside, what I liked was how easy it is to operate thanks to a one button control, and it's AUTO setting, and how easy it was to move it about, because It weighs less than 8 lbs -- and has an easily transportable cylinder design. I have been using it in a guest bedroom of about 150 square feet (the rated capacity equals rooms up to 190 Square feet), and it is so silent in AUTO mode I have to give it a look (to see the small unobtrusive blue LED ) to make sure it is on. Finally, this air purifier has 3 layers of purification and contains activated carbon, hence , it deodorizes. It is also Energy Star rated so that it is inexpensive to run 24 by 7. I could not be more pleased with it's performance.

Amazing audio for my TV, and other audio sources

My several month old 55" Hisense TV provides a beautiful picture and it's built in speakers provide acceptable sound. After installing the Polk MagniFI 2 sound bar & wireless 8" subwoofer speaker -- AWESOME exhilarating sound. I would not have believed such incredible sound could be installed effortlessly in under 5 minutes. Directions asked if TV had an HDMI receptacle marked ARC or eARC. My TV had ARC. I simply took 30 seconds to connect the provided HDMI cable to my ARC TV slot and to the sound bar ARC slot. Next came the power cord to an outlet, and finally a power cord from an outlet to the 8" Subwoofer. I turned on the TV and voila -- I was blown away. I watched a war movie and the bass filled the room with the sounds of bomb explosion that reverberated throughout my large family room. I switched to the news, and the voice clarity was beyond excellent. I increased bass, decreased bass, adjusted levels with the provided remote. Everything connected and paired effortlessly. I have Google speakers, lights, etc. all connected via wi-fi, and now the Polk audio integrates beautifully for just listening to music. In short, my TV audio went from acceptable to enthralling in minutes with installation that even a child could handle in less than 5 minutes.Love it and highly recommend it to enhance all your TV watching hours.

Excellent video Projector at excellent price point

I have purchased 2 Epson projectors over the past 16 years (The Moviemate projector w a built in DVD player to project DVDs, and their now discontinued 9200 Pro ) -- both continue to work flawlessly. The quality of Epson projectors in performance, reliability, ease of use continues to get better & better with lower costs to boot. The VS 260 is ultra portable being extremely light weight and with a tiny footprint. I used a USB cable into my new MacBook Air and most everything needed to do in order to be up and running occurred within 5 minutes. The Mac Operating system immediately recognized the projector, I said OK to the download and install, and then simply clicked on USB as the connection source. My computer screen was mirrored in absolutely vibrant color. A few seconds later I adjusted the focus ring and the images were very sharp. Because of the angle presented by a low table and high screen, I used the VS260 's ability to create a perfectly rectangular image. I did not have to prop up the projector thanks to it's elevation button that released a tiny "foot" for the perfect angle. I watched a movie projected to a 6 foot screen in a daylight filled room, and couldn't have been happier with the brightness. The 3,300 lumens provided excellent brightness and contrast. Certainly there are higher resolution projectors made by Epson and competitors (not needed and probably overkill for home use, or most office use), but not at the Epson VS260 price point. In summary, Epson means proven cost effective quality to me attested to by the longevity of my previously purchased projectors. Epson software and hardware continue to be top notch, as this projector demonstrates.

EZ 2 set up, locate, use, and has features galore

The Arlo Pro 4 camera has a great deal to rave about and minimal to not like. The Arlo makes my fifth home camera, and so I have a basis for comparison. It looks and feels extremely well made with a body that seals the camera workings from weather. First comes installation. I visited the website and installed the app in 2 minutes. This was the easiest camera install I have ever experienced. I began by charging the camera battery while it was in the camera housing. The charge cord had a magnet that resulted in the connection being perfect as the connector and battery terminal aligned perfectly by literally jumping into the perfect position. The battery came almost fully charged. Zero cords, and once the battery (supposed to last 6 months between charges) was installed ( it took less than 30 seconds to do so) I was up and running in about 3 minutes. The app recognized the camera and asked that I bring the camera to a foot or so away and point the Arlo camera at the QRL code image appearing on my phone. A few moments later all was set up and I was advised by the app to wait a few minutes (it took about 3) as the software was being updated. The entire operation was smooth as silk and quick. Locating the camera was ultra easy as there was no need to locate a power outlet. Once you select a location for the camera, the app tells you the signal strength. A single screw in any surface -- mounting was simple and fast. The mount has a very strong magnet and the camera attaches to the mount magnetically at just about any desired angle. A few looks at the image, a minor positioning adjustment using the magnet mount, and I had the perfect down angle to capture the area of concern. I placed the mount about 9 feet high for the superb coverage. The mount should not be placed where it may easily be accessed without a ladder because the camera may then be grabbed and easily removed from it's magnet mount without any tools. The camera is equipped with a microphone, spot light and with a siren. By going to the app, you may set it to turn on the lite, the microphone for conversation, and/or the siren upon detecting motion. You may set the boundaries of the motion detection surveillance to eliminate unnecessary alerts from, as an example -- street traffic. The software will also provide package delivery detection. Apparently, when an object is detected, but then remains motionless, it sets off the package detection alert on your smart phone, tablet, or whatever ( I love receiving the visual alert on my Apple Watch). The app has settings for people, pets, etc. I particularly like the "GEO FENCING" feature. The app allows setting an area considered "HOME" on a local map. Whenever your phone, or tablet, leaves the area, the system automatically arms (camera is turned on). When you return, you may use your phone to disarm the camera motion detection. The imagery is excellent (2K) with vibrant colors, and may be zoomed and panned. So, is there anything not to like? Storage of video comes free of charge for 30 days, then you have to decide if you want the video clips stored for later review. If you do, you must subscribe to the Arlo storage plan. The cost for 2K storage for a month for 1 camera is under $3. I feel it is worth having the in-cloud Arlo 30 day storage, at such a modest price, note: local storage on a memory chip or local hard drive is not an option. My other cameras detect motion and provide alerts within a few seconds. The Arlo reacts more slowly, like 10 to 15 seconds. For my purposes, this is not a problem or concern. If I find a need for a 6th camera, I would choose the Arlo pro 4 over my other 2 brands.

My home is approximately 3,000 Sq Feet, it is entirely concrete block treated with special insulating foam injected into the blocks for added insulation, sound deadening, and the home is designed in a U shaped with a swimming pool in the U. Getting a decent and consistent Wi-Fi signal from 1 end to the other has been barely acceptable until installation of the Eero Mesh system. I now have a strong consistent signal, my Wi-Fi problems are no more. In a nut shell, Eero has produced an outstanding product in it's Mesh 6 system (3 pack) comprised of an aesthetically designed minimal size router and 2 aesthetically designed Wi-Fi Signal Extenders. INSTALLATION: I thought that it would be cut and dried and expected to be up and running in 10 minutes; however, this was not the case. The complications were due to my having a single 3 way Modem router combo that provides high speed Internet, cable TV, and a telephone landline. I tried following directions via the provided Eero app, but installation was a no go. Exasperated, I phoned the Eero Tech support hotline and was immediately connected to tech rep that was not just knowledgeable, but patient, explained what had to be done, and stayed with me leading each time consuming procedure. I have numerous electronic devices to include indoor and outdoor cameras, electronic locks, 4 computers ( 2 Apple Mac, 1 Dell 1 Asus, 3 iPads, 2 Alexa and 2 Google hubs, 2 Homepods, all controlling lights, speakers and appliances. You get the idea. I mention this because the tech support provided by Eero ranks as 1 of the best experiences I have ever received. If for no other reason than fear of installing the Eeero mesh 6 Wi-Fi system, the Eero tech support service makes this a none issue. If fear of reliability is a concern, my experience with their service staff should eliminate that concern. Eero is a top notch tech company with an extraordinary tech staff to provide superior customer service. I unhesitatingly recommend their Wi-Fi 6 dual band Mesh system. Imagine, a great product and great tech support!

Does this speaker have an FM tuner?
The speaker is a superb speaker, it does not have any kind of tuner. If you can get the music you want to play on your smartphone, or tablet, or computer -- it will play on the speaker via bluetooth pairing. It takes 1 minute to pair the speaker and then the speaker remembers the next time you get near and turn on your smartphone, tablet, etc. In short, there is no need for a tuner if you have a current smartphone, tablet, or computer.

Local onboard or local HD storage is not an option. A subscription for 1 camera provides 30 days of clip storage at 2K resolution at a modest less than $3 per month cost. Subscriptions for multiple cameras are discounted.

With an Arlo pro 4 how far from the camera(how many feet) will it detect motion and how many degress of coverage once motion is activated
I have not tested with a measuring tape, but would estimate approximately 20 feet at a minimum. I found the coverage area to be as advertised, i.e., 160 degrees.

How many local dimming zones does the 55" have?
I do not know the number off the top of my head, and that info is easily obtainable by visiting the Hisense site and simply viewing the TV's specs. I can tell you that everything I have watched from action movies at SD, HD, 4K, HDR -- all are without blur, magnificent contrast, very black black and truly white whites.
