Securing crypto, great idea, negated by support!

I own crypto currency, actually several coins. I have been reading articles about the stability of some crypto exchanges and am now concerned about security. The Ledger Nano S Wallet, a hardware "wallet" device seemed to be just the product I needed to provide safety and peace of mind. The concept is sound. Nobody would be able to access (buy or sell) my crypto assets without the hardware device and associated sophisticated password protections. I went to the website and followed instructions to set up the device. It took about 20 minutes, and I was delighted. Then I decided to make a bitcoin purchase, and experienced zero success. The Ledger app required me to set up an account with any of 4 companies to fund a purchase. I tried the 1st (Moonpay), and all went well until it rejected the Visa account I provided. I tried 2 other Visa cards, all were rejected (I use 2 of these cards daily). I next tried a Mastercard - rejected. It was my PAYPAL MC. I tried my USAA Mastercard - rejected. I tried my Goldman Sachs Mastercard - rejected. I gave up and tried to set up an account w the LEDGER app recommended 2nd company. Similar problems. I then used my CapOne account on coinbase exchange without LEDGER, and successfully made a bitcoin purchase -- proving to myself that all was well. I went back and used the LEDGER recommended WYRE company to set up an account. Problems again. I contacted support at LEDGER and at WYRE, alas -- their is zero phone support, so chat becomes the means of communication. It results in "I have to elevate the problem and you will hear back shortly" (it has now been a week). I received an email yesterday that WYRE had a problem, but it was fixed on 5/31/22. I tried again -- problem still exists. In short, zero phone support combined with worthless chat support will not allow me to recommend LEDGER hardware wallets. Imagine having an account with crypto and running into a problem with the Ledger support system. It would be a nightmare. Five stars for the concept, MINUS 4 stars for lack of support!

Stunned by easy install, blown away by performance

You take the HDMI end of the ScreenCast 4K HDMI and insert it into one of your TV's HDMI slots. The The ScreenCast comes with a cable that has a connector made to be inserted in a slot on the side of the Screencast with the other end of the cable made to be inserted in any USB slot on your TV. On my TV, the distance between the HDMI and the USB slots was less than 6 inches. This took less than 30 seconds. Then I powered up my MacBookAir notebook computer running the Monterey Operating System. By using the TV remote and pushing the INPUT button, in seconds the Screencast install screen appeared. At about the same time, my MacBook Air became connected via bluetooth. I selected Screencast, and then clicked Display Mirroring and VOILA. A razor sharp image of anything I displayed on my 13" computer screen appeared on my 60" TV. I turned off my MacBook Air notebook and then turned on my ASUS 16" laptop computer running Windows 10. Windows recognized the ScreenCast via bluetooth and in under 1 minute I had the same result as with my MacBook Air -- a magnificent sharp vibrant image on my TV mirroring my small computer screen. As I began working with spreadsheets, and then building new pages for my website I realized that ScreenCast had benefits way beyond usefulness for presentations. This device made it easier to do work. I have literally fallen in love with working multiple applications on the TV screen. The added size makes complicated computer screens easier to work with. Bottomline: It is tiny, ultra portable, quick and easy to install, and priced within most every budget. Strong 5 stars!

Hoverboard Ranger delivers fun & is naughty n nice

The design is absolutely cool. The lights and colors scream adventure, excitement, and the Hoverboard Ranger delivers. First, the setup. There really isn't anything to do to have a working board other than plugging in the charger and connecting the cable into the easily accessible charger port. The charger has a red and a green light. Red simply reveals charging underway, green reveals charging complete (3 to 5 hours my experience). The operating manual provides a QR code and in a minute the Hoverboard app is loaded on your smartphone. You can now play music via the bluetooth pairing ( 1 minute) and built in speakers on the board. The speakers also provide board status info when turning on/off etc. Though the board is ready to go once charged by simply pushing the on/off button, I calibrated the board to make sure all sensors were functioning. That was achieved by holding the power on button for 15 seconds, then letting go, then turn the board off with another push, and then back on again. The board functioned beautifully, though the initial 2 to 3 minutes were learning to trust the boards sensors. They instantly reacted to every movement, no matter how slight. Stepping on the board and off the board was mastered very quickly. Learning how much to lean forward and to return to upright was mastered quickly. Those motions propelled the board in a controlled fashion with speed increasing or decreasing accordingly. Turning was very straightforward with a slight weight shift to either side. Turning in a circle was eezee peezy. The only difficulties were on rough terrain, pavement bumps. You have to be extremely cautious and keep speed down or you can easily be separated from the board. The operating manual stresses safety, and rightly so. I wore a helmet and gloves. Though I did come off the board when it hit some gravel, I never fell as my reflexes and balance protected me; however, I definitely agree with all the safety recommendations in the operating manual. If the board wasn't so difficult to control on uneven surfaces, and had a longer warranty (90 days), I would rate it 5 stars.

Numerous folks buy new mattresses when they feel that their existing mattress leaves them waking up tired and sweaty. Frequently, they purchase a mattress advertised to have breathable layers, or improved air flow to eliminate hot spots. Many mattresses receive ratings extolling air flow between body and mattress, and these mattresses may well deliver on these important features. However, I believe a "better" and far "less costly" product is the CHILISLEEP - OOLER Cooling & Heating Mattress Pad. After 3 nights of using the Chilisleep, I have experienced a new level of sleep comfort on my 7 year old mattress. This amazing product is simply a thin mattress pad that contains small tubes that allow a constant flow of precise temperature controlled water flow. One end of the mattress pad, that is easily installed /positioned in 2 to 3 minutes, has a small 7 foot twin tube (to allow continuous flow) that connects/locks to a control unit in seconds. That control unit is 15" X 10" X 6" high, and easily fit under my bed. Though the control unit has buttons to power on and control the temperature to within 1 degree F, the ease of use and control is really with the software app. I installed the app on my iPhone and on my iPad (it also works with Android devices). The control unit is filled with 30 ounces of water (distilled is recommended), connected to a power outlet, and you are up and running in 5 minutes. This product allows the user to pick any temperature desired from 55F to 115F by one degree increments, and it truly works. Use your conventional blanket/comforter, whatever to stay warm, but wherever your body would normally contact the mattress, that temperature is yours to choose and vary. This product has other features such as scheduling. You can use the app to set a temperature for your anticipated sleep time. If you like to get into bed to a toasty 75F, but sleep at 68F, the scheduler does that. The scheduler also permits a Gradual Temp setting for waking up. If I know I have to get up at 7am, I can set the Chilisleep to increase the temperature from my 68F sleep temp to a gradual 80F wake up temp. I love the feature as I discovered it was better than an alarm clock. It slowly woke me up (My alarm clock is now a backup device). What about germs, bacteria in the tubing? The unit has a built in UV light system to address that concern, and simply requires a setting on the app to turn on or off. Though this incredible product is named Chilisleep, it is also beneficial in cold climes in the winter. Instead of raising room temperature, or adding extra blankets, the Chilisleep can be set to keep you toasty and pre-warm your bed. The product is made sizes to fit any bed, or half of any size bed. A full size unit comes w 2 control units so that each sleeper may choose settings and schedules to suit them. Finally, because this company permits a 30 day home trial, you can't possibly go wrong by testing it before you purchase a new mattress that promises sweat free sleep. My rating: TOP NOTCH!

Solution to capture Broadcast TV signals, my probs

I was unable to mount the antenna at the recommended height of 30’ above the ground as I live in a 1 story ranch home, and my effective mounting height was just under 20 feet. The results would have been better at 30 ‘high, but I’m hesitant to say markedly better. I was hopeful about this antenna, alas, I experienced mostly problems with minimal success. Though directions were straight forward, the major problem for me was that I could not control the antenna via it’s rotation motor. There was power, but no rotation. That meant positioning/pointing was tedious and I gave up after an hour. Suffice it to say that reception worked for 1 channel. Signal went in and out. If I had been able to use the remote or even the control on the box to get the antenna to rotate, and perhaps mounting at 30’, perhaps results would have been better. My test results were wanting!

Sony Wireless Neckband instead of headphones?

I have an expensive ($500) ear covering headphone set that is superb, alas, it is not great for walking outside because it masks ambient sounds somewhat -- even when noise Canx is off. With noise canx on, I hear my music pretty much exclusively and am not aware of external sounds ( dangerous when walking outdoors). Though comfortable, there is weight involved and that limits how long I can comfortable wear them. I have expensive earbuds that are superb. Downside is not weight, but again -- not great for walking outside because the buds mask ambient sounds somewhat -- even when noise Canx is off. Sony has a remedy and they call their product a wireless NECKBAND SPEAKER. The weight is minimal and hardly noticed because the device is worn around the neck with weight born by shoulders. There is nothing masking ambient noise but your volume setting, instantly adjusted with touch up, touch down, and mute control buttons to deal w any situation. The most important feature of any sound playing device is the quality of the sounds it produces. The NS7 Neckband is top notch. The lows, mids, and highs are rich, full, velvety. The bass is actually extraordinary because the speakers vibrate to the point you feel the bass (in a nice way) as well as hear it. Part of this is speaker quality. Another part is ear customization. During the set up process (via the Sony app loaded on my iPhone), you hold the phone and move your head side to side so that images of your ears are taken, and analyzed, and the NECKBAND creates settings that are customized for your ear category. I can't over-stress the sound quality. This product produces 360 degree Spatial sound when music is received from several spatial sound transmission services (such as Amazon Unlimited -- subscription required). Unlike headphones, and earbuds, this NECKBAND actually generates 360 degree sound. The sounds are cast left, right, in front, behind, and vary vertically. During setup, you are given the opportunity to hear stereo, and then 360 degree spatial. You can switch back and forth over and over. The 360 degree spatial is par excellance! I took and made phone calls with the NECKBAND. The microphones worked flawlessly, according to the folks I spoke to. My sole disappointment was using the NECKBAND to listen to my TV. Sony provides an adapter that is supposed to connect wirelessly via bluetooth to the NECKBAND for their Bravia TVs and others. My 1 year old 55" Hisense TV would not connect even though the Sony device indicated bluetooth was on, and I set the TV to PCM audio out as per directions. It is probably a Hisense TV issue, but still -- Sony needs to make the connection work with all major brands. If not for that blemish, I would rate the Sony NECKBAND as a 5 star product.

Excellent garage vidcam, door opener synch limited

I like the camera design and performance. The setup took all of 3 minutes, the software loaded quickly, pairing w my iPhone was immediate. The lens provides a very wide angle and very good focus. The camera design and mounting bracket made it extremely easy to locate in just a few minutes. Once mounted, the camera may be swiveled 360 degrees and up and down on its magnetic base to capture everything desired. The video events are stored via an inexpensive subscription ($2.50/month via the 7 day video event storage plan). The software makes it very easy to selectively look back on all events triggered by (adjustable sensitivity) motion. The software permits filters such alerts when door is opened, or when closed, or for night vision, or to accommodate upside down mount by flipping the image. The camera works with Google Assistant, Ring, IFTTT, etc. My criticism was the inability to connect the camera/Smart Garage Control to my garage door openers, and thus be able to control my garage doors. My home was built in 2005, and the garage door openers are made by ROMAC. I thought ROMAC would pair with the Chamberlain camera/Smart Garage Control (just as the built in garage door opener buttons built into my 2017 & 2020 Acura cars do), but I was wrong. I can't even receive alert notices (though the events are recorded). There are a limited number of garage door openers that synch and will integrate with the camera/smart controller and allow control of the garage doors. There are a small number of manufacturers of garage door openers that will monitor, but still not allow control of the garage door openers ( for example, Marantec openers). This was a major disappointment. In summary: An excellent video camera for the garage or elsewhere; however, the camera and the Smart garage controller only allow garage door control for a limited number of garage door opener manufacturers.

Blood pressure & pulse measurements made EZEE

Outstanding blood pressure and pulse monitor. The device is extremely easy to set up via the instruction manual such that it will maintain the records of the past 100 measurements for 2 users. It is ultra portable, and comes with a case that protects the motor and blood pressure cuff. The device is also very easy to use, and even easier to maintain. It comes with 4 AA batteries, though an AC charger is an option (not needed IMHO) . The device is very lightweight, hence easily taken anywhere. Though this device is advertised as a talking monitor, and it certainly does provide an audio summary of its measurements by "clearly" announcing ( you may select a volume level or turn volume to off) the systolic, and the diastolic readings. It then announces the pulse rate and category of hypertension based on World Health Organization statistics. For example, it states “Severe hypertension” if BP is greater or equal to 180 systolic or 110 diastolic, or moderate, mild, high normal, normal, or optimal — depending on the measurement. This device will also show an irregular heartbeat with an icon and it even announces “A possible cardiac arrhythmia was found.” Another notable feature of the monitor is that it maintains a history of readings and then goes beyond the history by compiling averages that may be called up with the touch of the memory button. for example: one touch of the “M” button and an “A” appears with the average of all saved measurements for that user. A 2nd touch and AM appears with an average of most recent 7 day morning measurements. A 3rd press and PM appears w the average for the most recent 7 evening pressures. The most recent reading may always be displayed, and measurements may be deleted to clear measurements that were stored. Maintenance is minimal. I also want to mention the display. The fonts used are large and easily viewed from a distance. They are crystal clear. Accuracy? I checked pressure readings against my old reliable manual cuff with pump up, and against my pulse as measured by my smart watch multiple times. The readings were virtually identical telling me this is a high quality accurate blood pressure/pulse measurement device that is priced most competitively. I feel is an excellent value.

Hisense Large screen 60" TVs just make sense!

I had begun to see more and more Hisense TVs in stores, hence I surmised sales were going well and could be a valid testimonial to the products quality and performance. Now that I have been using the Hisense 60" A6 G series TV, I can attest that the quality is outstanding, and the performance most all one could want at exceptional pricing. First the look -- the TV look is exquisite with virtually no bezel and 100% screen. The setup -- preprogrammed to set itself up with voice guidance in minutes. Setting up paid subscriptions such as Hulu, etc., is EZEE PEEZEE and fast. The built in browser and integration with google -- finds Wi-Fi networks and connects in minutes. The remote has built in microphone for voice commands (works superbly with my Google products). The remote is well designed with hot buttons to instantly jump to Prime Video, Netflix, etc.(as well as connecting by voice). The picture is razor sharp with resolution that proves 4K broadcasts on this TV match up splendidly against other brands I have viewed at Best Buy stores, and elsewhere. I sent photos, and music to the TV -- easily achieved and truly pleased by the results. I have not mounted the TV, because I have moved it twice in my house. I have moved my LG and my 55" Samsung because the Hisense 60" is now the TV of choice in our family room. The weight made moving it's location easy for my wife and I. I could have moved it single handed cept for its size making 4 hands safer. Speakers do accommodate large rooms, and are satisfactory, but I hooked up a sound bar and large woofer for almost theater quality audio. It is so easy with the HDMI input slots. Of course there are higher end TVs with more contrast, blacker blacks, but when you look at BANG FOR THE BUCK, this TV is unsurpassed.

Dell calls this a gaming laptop computer, and it certainly rises to the challenge because the graphics, the power of the central processing unit, the abundance of random access memory (16 gig), and the speed of the 512 gig solid state hard drive combine to make it extremely capable of handling most all games with aplomb. However, it is also an exceptional performer for most any general use or office work requirement you might have because of it's razor sharp display that makes even small fonts very readable, and it's abundance of ports makes it an efficient work horse when linked to a printer, external mass storage, or a large external monitor. The engine that drives this computer is a RYZEN 7 (8 cores with a burst clock speed of 4.4 Ghz). Suffice it to say it powerful! When you purchase a new computer, the 1st issue is setting it up. The Dell Alienware makes set up a piece of cake. The software rapidly walks you through all needed decisions and in less than 10 minutes everything is working smoothly. If you want to migrate the the setup from an older computer, Dell makes that a piece of cake by inquiring and leading you through the process expeditiously. Things to like: screen is bright and renders all colors beautifully, the case is sturdy, and has a unique icon of an alien which appears to glow, attracts attention and I find to be design delightful. The computer case has 4 USB slots (3 are type A and 1 is type C. There is a headphone jack, though I strongly recommend simply using the internal speakers as they are excellent for a notebook computer. The keyboard is a pleasure. It is quiet, and the the touch and tactile feedback excellent. The keyboard lights are also top notch. Regarding keys, this keyboard has an abundance of specialty keys such a print screen key, a microphone on/off key, etc. The touch pad worked flawlessly and made cursor control ezee-peezee. Finally, I immediately trained the built in camera to recognize my face and unlocking the computer to begin gaming is now pure happiness. This is a high quality gaming computer built to last, and I highly recommend it :-)

Do these have 3.5mm jack or do they only connect via bluetooth?
There is no 3.5 mm jack as the NECKBAND connects wirelessly via bluetooth to numerous devices such as smartphones, etc.

Does this speaker have an FM tuner?
The speaker is a superb speaker, it does not have any kind of tuner. If you can get the music you want to play on your smartphone, or tablet, or computer -- it will play on the speaker via bluetooth pairing. It takes 1 minute to pair the speaker and then the speaker remembers the next time you get near and turn on your smartphone, tablet, etc. In short, there is no need for a tuner if you have a current smartphone, tablet, or computer.

Does the Arlo 4 have any local/device video storage capability at all, or is an historical video (i.e. the last 72 hours) available only with a subscription?
Local onboard or local HD storage is not an option. A subscription for 1 camera provides 30 days of clip storage at 2K resolution at a modest less than $3 per month cost. Subscriptions for multiple cameras are discounted.

With an Arlo pro 4 how far from the camera(how many feet) will it detect motion and how many degress of coverage once motion is activated
I have not tested with a measuring tape, but would estimate approximately 20 feet at a minimum. I found the coverage area to be as advertised, i.e., 160 degrees.

How many local dimming zones does the 55" have?
I do not know the number off the top of my head, and that info is easily obtainable by visiting the Hisense site and simply viewing the TV's specs. I can tell you that everything I have watched from action movies at SD, HD, 4K, HDR -- all are without blur, magnificent contrast, very black black and truly white whites.
