A fast paced action thriller - keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat - violent yes - but all at the right point - was needed - nothing extra perfectly violent a bit of nudity - profanity acceptable. Excellent ensemble of actors. Excellent acting by all . Excellent narrative - to the point -

The video quality of the Blu Ray print is flawless. The color depth and clarity of the image is as good as it gets for a 1080P screen. The IMAX scenes don't look any different. They are not formatted in a different aspect ration or anything like they were in the IMAX theatrical release. They look identical to the rest of the film. If you didn't know which scenes were shot in IMAX, I don't think you'd be able to tell from watching the Blu Ray.
❖ The audio quality is great. The volume differential between the special effects and the spoken dialog can be big at times, making it very loud when there are explosions, but that gives a true cinematic experience. Some stereos have a night mode that compresses that volume range. (Note: My set up is a 5.1 surround system. The Blu Ray's surround track is a 7.1 audio track but I can't review that fully. The 7.1 track on my 5.1 system sounded fine.)
❖ The box itself is odd. It has 3 discs packed into 2 disc holders. So the special features disc and the DVD disc are sitting on top of each other. I thought that was kind of weird. The top disc was not scratched on mine. But I don't love this method of packing the discs.

The last few DC animated films have been kind of a hit or miss (i.e. Throne of Atlantis and JL War). Thankfully, this film sorta redeems those disappointments and keeps the momentum going with the recently released Batman V Superman film (which is a masterpiece by the way). I wouldn't say this movie is amazing or spectacular, but it is entertaining and it's a must have for any fan of JL and Teen Titans. The film is actually quite enjoyable and has a nice balance of action and comedy - courtesy of TT. Knowing they're young teens, silly immature humor and comments are expected and I feel it works well here to balance the ultra serious JL. They injected just enough humor to keep things flowing properly

Krampus won't win Oscars but I think if you go in wanting to have fun and experience some scares along the way you'll be more than satisfied. Krampus is one heck of a Christmas gift

it's easy to see that Ride Along 2, was a PAYCHECK for everyone involved. What do you expect? You know what kind of movie this will be.
It is a bit dumb and full of cliches. The story is paint by numbers and you can predict the ending after the 30 minutes. The characters are as stereotyped as possible (ranging from no non-sense cop to diabolical, good looking evil mastermind and very attractive female side-kick).
It is a bad movie though? No. I've actually enjoyed it. It is the kind of movie to which you go, have a laugh laugh, go home and forget all about it. It won't enter any top movie list and it won't teach you anything useful. But it will make you laugh and that's a good thing.
I guess there were better movies out there for which to pay $10 to see, but I don't regret the time spent. It was like eating a bar of chocolate, good and then you move on with your life.

The film is too well crafted to get the really low scores, the cinematography is too good, the acting too high caliber, the direction too solid, the score too nice, and the flick too engaging for such ratings.
This also applies to the other end. The "twists" are unimportant and add no spice, the pacing just slogs along, the joy too nonexistent, the characters evoke too little emotion either way, the story too light on satisfaction, the story telling too inconsistent, the length too needless, the magic (other than on the technical side) too absent, and the rewatchability too minimal for me to see greatness but maybe a second viewing will change my perspective but it will definitely be on video for me, only the lure of a hot date fixated on going could get me into the theater again other than maybe just for the experience a 70mm screening.
I'm a pretty avid Tarrentino fan but I didn't overly enjoy this effort. I more appreciate it and can't say I wasn't engaged but I also can't say that I'm eager to see it again and worse for the first time I have little inclination to do so with a flick by Q.
A generous 7/10 (rounding up from 6.5) for me but I could see ceiling of 8 and a basement of 4 at the lowest.
